Korra awoke from a dead sleep perplexed. Her dream was a link to her past lives, something that had been severed a few years ago by Unalaq when he had harnessed Vaatu's powers, she was certain it was. Was this dream a gateway to reaching out to her past lives again? Was Avatar Kyoshi trying to tell her something by showing her that memory? Or was Korra just having an overactive imagination?

Could she rekindle the severed connection and seek out advice from the past avatars on how to help fix the ugly state the world had been lurched in due not just to Kuvira but as culmination of all those who had disrupted the peace in the four years Korra had been running around trying to restore peace? Those were just a few questions she had rattling around in her mind.

Korra also wondered if Asami was Rangi in a past life, she just couldn't get past their identical looks and mannerisms- the only difference was the color in their eyes. From what she could remember about the life of Avatar Kyoshi, her first love Rangi, was from a family of soldiers, bodyguards, and firebending masters. Korra reasoned this is why Rangi resembled Asami as she also descended from the same family line.

Yet, the voice in the back of her head questioned this logic. If Asami was just distant relation to this Rangi then why did Korra feel as though she knew Asami from a past life? It would make sense she was Rangi re-incarnated because she would have known her when she was Avatar Kyoshi.

It would explain so many things- like how she seemed to know such intimate details about Asami without having ever discussed them. For example, when she had made love to Asami for the first time, mere hours before, she instinctively knew just how to please Asami. Could this have been information she learned in past life?

Korra knew she would have to ask Asami if she had the same feelings of familiarity with her as she did. If Asami did then maybe her hunch was correct and people outside the avatar cycle could re-incarnate. But if they could how come she had not heard of this before? Had Rangi sought her out in this life for a reason? Had she aided Avatar Kyoshi with some task that would be similar to what she was facing?

She wanted to talk to Katara about this. If anyone would have an inkling about re-incarnation it would have to be the former avatar's wife. She also reasoned Kya might have knowledge about, she was known as a very spiritual person who was free thinking and had traveled the world in search of knowledge about about life and enlightenment. She would make it a point to speak to Kya before she sought out her old mentor.

If in fact Asami was reincarnated Korra knew the only way she would find the real reason behind it was to speak the great creators Izanagi and his wife Izanami. The brother and sister-wife spirits were responsible for both creating life and taking it away.

Korra had no idea about any of this, but she would make an effort in the morning to seek out everything she could find out about Avatar Kyoshi and her partners. Part of her wanted to wake up Asami and discuss her dream, she was certain it was a sign she could reconnect with her past lives.

Before her connection with her past lives was severed, she had similar dreams where she experienced memories of past avatars. They were typically glimpses into what her past lives had to overcome. In her dream she was able to feel the love Kyoshi had for Ragni and the love Rangi had for Kyoshi- it reminded her of the bond and the love that she and Asami had for one another.

When Korra looked at the alarm clock on Asami's end table she saw that it was just one in the morning and decided against waking Asami, even though she was so excited it was painful not to share the news. She shifted in bed in anxiously wanting to reach out and talk to someone. She considered attempting to meditate to try and reach out to her past lives, but she couldn't quiet her mind enough to meditate.

Korra pondered what had triggered this "memory share" dream. She had slept with Asami in her arms the night before and nothing was triggered, she had also felt a feeling a love last night and there was no trigger.

This bothered her to no avail as she wanted to know at least how she triggered the memory if not why. She desperately wanted to revive that connection to her past lives.

Korra felt Asami shift beside her in her sleep. The heiress now faced Korra as she buried her face between the avatar's neck and breast while she clung tightly to her. Korra smiled pulling Asami closer to her as if she was an extension of her own body.

She inhaled the lavender scent of Asami and it calmed her mind- the millions of questions rattling around in her brain seemed to come to halt as her body let her enjoy this moment with her girlfriend.

In just these two nights Korra had grown accustomed to sleeping with Asami beside her, she wasn't looking forward to returning to Air Temple Island tomorrow. Once there she would once again be under Tenzin's strict rules- he had curfews for her like she was a child. Not to mention the fact he most certainly wouldn't let her have any significant alone time with Asami.

She wished with all her heart she could stay with Asami- Korra never wanted to spend another day or night away from her. Asami's warm breath tickled Korra's sensitive breasts as she breathed in and out but Korra didn't mind- it was her touch and the closeness she craved Korra didn't mind if being awake was the price she paid for it.

Soon Korra was able to adjust to Asami's breaths and able to blockout the tickling sensation and it was then that the avatar was able to relax and start to drift off to sleep once again. That was until Asami shifted again sliding her knee between Korra's legs.

The avatar suddenly became alive with a deep aching between her legs as her wetness only intensified by the presence of toned, muscular, shapely leg. It wasn't just that sensation tha made Korra's wetness grow however, it was the wetness of Asami's core wrapped around Korra's leg that added fuel to the fire.

Korra was curious what her partner was dreaming that had her so wet as Asami grabbed Korra's ass tightly snuggling herself further into Korra's breast. Korra was turned, even in her sleep Asami was alluring and sexy and could just melt her away.

"Korra," Asami whispered.

"Asami?" Korra replied with an aching desire in her voice.

There was no reply, Asami was deep a sleep lost in a dream reaching for Korra that existed sloley in her mind.

"Korra, baby...I love you," she whispered as her sleeping reacted to the words hugging Korra tight as she nuzzled against Korra's bare breasts kissing the skin softly.

Korra knew she was dreaming but hearing those words hit her like a ton of bricks, in a good way. If dreams were work of your subconscious mind then Asami really did love her and it made her heart ache with joy. Korra reciprocated that feeling of love ten fold. She was crazy about Asami- there was nothing she wouldn't do for her.

Korra lightly kissed the top of Asami's head and allowed herself settle into her lover's body. It was in that embrace she found a deep restful sleep.

Asami woke with a feeling of warmth in her heart, an ache in her core, and undeniable wetness between her legs, slowly she opened her eyes and was startled as well as embarrassed to find her face buried in Korra's chest. As she slowly became aware of her body and its surroundings as the sleepy fog began lifting, she found her legs intertwined with Korra's- she could feel the heat and wetness of her girlfriends sex against her smooth flesh.

It was another night spent dreaming of her and Korra. She thought it was glimpse of their future happily living together and madly in love. Even in her dreams Korra belonged to Asami. She couldn't escape even in her sleep- not that she wanted to.

Asami decided all in all it wasn't a bad way to wake up, feeling Korra's body heat pressed close to her, she could get use to it. Slowly she lift her head from Korra's chest, the slight movement didn't seem to phase the avatar. Slowly Asami extricated her body from Korra's, careful to avoid waking up the sleeping avatar.

Once free she glance at the clock on her nightstand and saw that it was already seven in the morning. Silently Asami cursed, she would normally be in the office already, she never slept this late so she never felt the need to set an alarm. Though her work day didn't technically start until eight in the morning, she always lived by the philosophy if you're not early you're late.

Asami started to roll away from Korra to get out of bed, but she felt an arm grab her. Smiling blue eyes met her jade ones as Korra closed the distance between them.

"Good morning," Korra's voice was sleepy yet husky as she reached out tucked the loose strands of Asami's hair behind her ear to take in the morning glow of her face. Asami smiled at Korra pushing her forehead against hers, brushing her lips lightly against the avatar's.

"It is with you here," Asami whispered knowing the line sounded cheesy like something out of mover, but it was true as it was cheesy. Everything in her life enhanced when Korra was involved with it.

Korra leaned in, her soft lips landing on Asami's ruby red ones, losing herself in those jade eyes. Korra knew today she had to return to Air Temple Island and resume helping train the airbenders, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to make the most of the time she had with Asami before the heiress had to go to work.

Asami swallowed the moan that was threatening to pass her lips- Korra was so warm and inviting as her hands caressed Asami's body while the heiress deepen the kiss. The thoughts of making it into work before her assistant showed up quickly slipped away from Asami as the ache inside her grew and she thought of better ways to use her time.

While Asami ran her hands through Korra's hair the avatar enthusiastically kissed a path from the CEO's lips to her she nipped Asami's flesh as she worked her way back to the luscious red lips, this time eliciting a soft moan from her lover as she kissed her roughly throwing her body into it.

Asami grabbed fistfuls of Korra's hair pulling her closer, needing to feel her body against her own. Korra's hands firmly grasped the globes of Asami's ass as she grinded her dripping sex against her. The CEO moaned deeply, the throbbing ache between her legs grew with each masterful movement. Asami knew Korra had just pushed her past the point of no return, she couldn't possibly go into work and be productive without satisfying her and Korra's urge.

Asami looked into Korra's hungry, mischievous blue eyes and had a hard time believing she was the same shy Korra who twov nights ago was too nervous to make love. The Korra that lay beside her now was not the same Korra who was a virgin two nights ago, no this Korra had knowledge and experience beyond her years.

Korra playfully bit Asami's bottom lip as her hands once again roamed the body of the jade eyed woman stopping to caress her most sensitive areas long enough to leave her breathless before moving on. Asami knew Korra was purposely slowing down, trying to draw this out, to keep her here as long as she could. While Asami agreed with sentiment, she simply had to go into work, as the CEO she couldn't push her duties on someone else.

Asami tried to protest to, at least move this into the shower so she could start to get ready for work, but her argument failed to materialize as Korra slowly began to kiss every inch of her body. Asami was rendered helpless under the touch of girlfriend, all she could do in kind was plant strategic kisses of her own leaving Korra trembling and aching for more.

Korra took Asami's hand guiding it to her breast where the young Ceo cupped them sensitively manipulating the dark nubs of her nipples with an expert touch. Korra moaned leaning into Asami's hands as her nipples grew hard and her body ached. The young CEO took the hard nipple in her mouth and gently tugged as Korra cried out euphorically.

"I want you so bad," the avatar whispered as Asami went to work on her other breast. Korra's words were music to her ears. Asami wanted her too, her whole body ached as it craved Korra with every fiber of its being.

"Let's move this to the shower," Asami suggested knowing if she didn't start getting ready for work now it wasn't likely she was going to make it in.

Korra agreed to the change of venue secretly regretting it, she wanted to spend all day in bed with Asami but she knew they both had obligations to fulfill.

Forty-five Minutes Later...

Asami emerged from the steamy shower feeling just as helpless against Korra's charms as the moment she woke up. Silently she wraps a towel around herself and begins to dry her hair and face. She sighed as she began putting on her makeup, she truly was defenseless against Korra, all it took was a look and her will power was gone.

In the mirror Asami watched as Korra stepped out of the shower and waterbended herself dry, not bothering to cover nude body as sashayed over to the vanity wrapping her arms around Asami. Instantly the CEO's body relaxed against the embrace, but she continued to put on her makeup ignoring the intense body heat coming off of her lover.

Korra's greedy lips found Asami's neck, she wasn't ready for their morning to end. Asami slipped from Korra's embrace and went into her room and quickly dressed. She hated denying Korra because she wanted it just as much, but she had a company to run and it was already past eight in the morning, she was officially late for work, something that never happened.

Korra sat down on the bed, still nude and pouted as Asami gathered essentials to leave.

"Can you come visit tonight?" Korra asked even though she knew with Tenzin's rules it would be a boring evening.

"I will be by after work," Asami agreed, she would never deny Korra anything.

"Good," Korra smiled as she got placing a kiss on Asami lips that made her knees buckle and left her breathless. Korra went to dress and Asami convinced herself to head to work, if she knew if she didn't leave now she wasn't going at all.

Asami walked through the now crowded sidewalks of downtown Republic City, she couldn't hide the smile on her face or the glowing happiness radiating off of her. Yesterday had been an amazing day with Korra, she had to convince herself it was real, and when she woke up next to her it was all the confirmation she needed.

Her walk to work was lengthened but they pedestrian traffic, but her mood never faltered Asami was determined to let the feelings of love and happiness carry her throughout the day. She entered the lobby of the building and smiled at the receptionist, Asami barely knew the woman- most of her time was spent on the top floor in her office pouring over paperwork.

Asami stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for her floor, she felt certain she was going to have a productive day. Asami walked past Noriko's desk and watched as her assistant eyed with her interest as she headed to her office.

She smiled to herself knowing her assistant must be dying to know why she was late, since taking over after her father's imprisonment she had never been late, she had always beat her employees to the office.

Asami sat down softly in her desk chair and began thumbing through the paper work for rebuilding Republic City. The proposals seemed decent enough but according to the message she had gotten late yesterday the avatar needed to review them as they involved plans for the spirit vines. Korra's advice was needed to make sure they wouldn't be at odds with spirits in any new construction.

Asami set the plans to the side with intentions of arranging for Korra to come in and review them, or she could bring them to Korra. There was a soft knock on her door and she already knew it was her assistant.

"Come in," Asami said not looking up from the paperwork that was awaiting her signature.

Noriko slid past the small opening in the door and took a seat across the desk from Asami.

"So, someone had a good night?" Noriko started not exactly asking, more like fishing to see what else her friend would reveal.

Asami glanced up from her paperwork there was a smile on her face, and the afterglow of someone who'd just had sex. Noriko smiled, happy that Asami had found someone- her boss spent too much working these days. She deserved to let loose and have fun, these were supposed to be the fun years of her life- they weren't intended to be spent in stuffy office stuck behind a desk.

"It was okay," Asami replied trying to sound indifferent not knowing the afterglow on her face had betrayed just how good the night and morning had been.

"Sure it was okay. It was SO okay you were late for work?" Noriko teased knowing that their friendship allowed her to speak to Asami this way otherwise she'd never dare to attempt it.

Asami laughed as a blush crept across her face and her mind went back to her and Korra in the steamy, hot shower.

"Would it be the fire bender?" Noriko asked, she really had thing for Mako.

Asami shook her head no- her entire demeanor changing as she remembered what Mako had said to her and Korra. Sure he was drunk, but the malice in words was real. He had meant for the words to cut deep. Asami wasn't as phased by what he had said to her, she had dealt with a drunk Mako before and knew that it could bring an entirely different side of the normally kind fire bender. But, the way his words had hurt Korra, that she wasn't willing to look past as easily.

"What did he do?" her assistant was immediately curious, she had never seen her bosses attitude shift so suddenly.

"Nothing... he was drunk and angry," Asami lied, it wasn't nothing but she didn't want to go there and ruin her mood.

"So if it wasn't him... who is the lucky guy?" Noriko pestered.

"I will tell you... if... and only if it stays between us," Asami replied surprised that she suddenly had the urge to talk about her and Korra.

"I promise. Have I ever betrayed you?" Noriko replied and Asami felt stupid, Noriko had never betrayed her in the ten years she had known. Noriko knew about every relationship she had had, every mistake, everything, and had never went to her father about it.

"Korra," she whispered as the name brought a smile to her lips and glimmer to her eyes, it was obvious to her assistant that she was in love.

"Wait...what?" Noriko couldn't believe her ears, not only had Asami not been with a woman in years, but the avatar?

"Korra," Asami replied a little louder with a sigh, just saying her name made her body crave Korra's touch.

"As in Avatar Korra?" her assistant just couldn't wrap her head around this.

"The very same. You met her yesterday, remember?" Asami offered amused by her friend's disbelief.

"Wait so you and her.." Noriko was having trying trouble stringing together the her bosses afterglow and the fact that she was with Korra.

"Yes," Asami replied with a blush as she signed the last paper in the stack, and moved onto the next pile.

"Is she why you were late?" her friend pushed further not believing what her ears were hearing.

Asami glanced up from work and looked at her friend with a serious expression as she nodded her head 'yes'. Her friend smiled, still had trouble grasping that her boss and the avatar were an item, but she was thrilled for her nonetheless.

"We definitely have to talk later," Noriko said Asami who wasn't sure if it was promise or threat, she wasn't sure how much she wanted to share about her relationship with Korra but she she nodded in agreement nonetheless.

Noriko quietly left to go tend to her work and Asami threw herself wholeheartedly into her own work, she had to sign off on approvals for the building of so much equipment for the rebuilding projects in both Republic City and the Earth Kingdom.

Though Varrick Industries was helping finance the project, they were not supplying materials- they were only shipping materials. This understandably put a lot of pressure on Asami to get work orders approved and hire more staff to complete the work quickly and efficiently.

Meanwhile

After Asami left Korra collected herself, she still wanted Asami and couldn't help but hate the fact that she was so dedicated to her job. Yes it was one of the many reasons she loved her, but it was also so very inconvenient at times.

Once Korra was able to cool the desire she felt and make her appearance acceptable she locked up Asami's apartment and set out through the heart of downtown Republic City and down to the docks to catch ferry to Air Temple Island.

Once there Korra was hoping to catch Kya and ask her opinion about the dream she had- she knew Kya was a very spiritual person and felt it'd be easier to open up to her than Tenzin.

Though Tenzin had been nothing but accepting of her relationship with Asami and was completely supportive she still felt it awkward to talk to her mentor about such a private matter. Over the years Tenzin had become like second a father and she couldn't imagine having this conversation with her father either.

Once the ferry landed at Air Temple Island Korra disembarked and began walking toward the main building. Though she hadn't visited the island much in the past three years not much had changed. The only significant change was the place was now bustling with people learning how to harness their ability to airbender.

She nodded in acknowledgement as she saw Jinora and Kai were leading a group of young airbenders in beginner drills. Korra knew Kai and Jinora were an item, but Korra still had trouble picturing her friend as young adult. As she neared the entrance Korra braced herself, she was expecting a lecture from Tenzin for staying away for two nights, though she was almost twenty he still treated like the sixteen year old Korra her parents had entrusted him to take care of.

It seemed Tenzin couldn't accept that Korra was an adult now, and he had trouble giving her the freedom she felt she deserved. He still placed curfews on her, and monitored her time with Asami closely stating that how she acted set an example for Jinora. But what Tenzin didn't know was his daughter was doing a fine job of breaking his house rules without Korra's influence.

Korra entered the main living area and found it empty save for Kya. Korra greeted the free spirited waterbender as she took up a seat near her.

"Do you have time to talk?" Korra asked of Kya hoping her friend might be able to help her make sense of dreams and the feelings she had for Asami.

"Of course. Is this conversation best had in private?" Kya inquired knowing that she had left the door open for both Korra and Asami to come to her for anything.

Korra nodded in agreement, it wasn't that she was a private person or embarrassed, it was the fact that what she had to say could make her seem a little crazy so it was best to keep the conversation away from listening ears. Kya followed the younger waterbender back to the avatar suite where she had taken up residence.

Her room was modest and sparsely decorated. Her bed small but could sleep two, though it'd be a tight fit. For furnishings there was a desk and chair as well as a small radio Korra had saved up and purchased with her winnings from her days as a pro-bender, a small dresser, and a closet. Korra took a seat on her bed and Kya sat at the desk chair waiting for Korra to speak.

Korra found herself telling Kya all about the dream she had the night before, and then before she knew it she found herself pouring her heart out to the older waterbender as she tried to explain how and what she felt for Asami. Though she described her feelings the best she could Korra found that there really wasn't words that adequately described the intense love, the intense everything she felt for the young CEO.

Kya took in Korra's words, she didn't think the avatar was crazy at all. It seemed very likely that her dream was a way of her past lives trying to reach out to her. However, Kya was less sure about Asami being the reincarnation of Avatar Kyoshi's girlfriend. From what Korra had said it was likely a striking family resemblance.

It wasn't that the older waterbender didn't believe in reincarnation for the rest of humanity, she just couldn't understand why an avatar's past love would be reincarnated and drawn to the new avatar. But it wasn't out of the realm of possibilities. It could have happened in the past and the avatar just never encountered their past love.

Kya shared these thoughts with Korra with a promise to reach out Katara to see if her father had mentioned anything like this during his lifetime. The only way to know for certain would be to seek out the spirits of creation, but that was a fool's errand. The creators were notriously unforgiving when disturbed for such trifling human matters.

"Korra can I ask you what was different that allowed you to dream of Kyoshi?" Kya asked hoping that there was trigger to this dream Korra could use to try and re-establish a link with her past lives.

"I...I spent the night with Asami. I remember feeling really peaceful before falling asleep," Korra stammered being intentionally vague, she was not use to talking about such personal matters.

Kya studies the embarrassed avatar assuming correctly that Korra had meant she had slept with Asami. She wondered if Korra's intense feelings for Asami were reciprocated and those feelings of love had somehow helped her connect with her past.

"Have you tried meditating on those feelings?" Kya inquired respecting Korra's privacy about her relationship.

"No, do you think it's related?" the young avatar asked not really seeing how she felt after sex could possibly have anything to do with bringing her closer to reconnecting with her past lives.

"I wouldn't rule it out. For anyone emotions play a vital role in who we are and how we connect to ourselves and the world. As the avatar it would seem logical that your emotions could play a role in bringing out who you were, maybe the past life you need to see," Kya suggested giving Korra sympathetic smile.

The older waterbender knew telling Korra to get in sync with her feelings and meditate on them was easier said than done. She recalled how she felt with her first love. She remembered Lin Beifong very well. She wasn't Kya's first, but her first true love. They had gotten together after Lin and Tenzin's disastrous relationship imploded. In fact, Kya was on her way out to see Lin- old habits die hard and apparently some never do.

Kya remembered how hard it was to know how she felt, but she also knew she had feelings for Lin long before they got together. Unfortunately for Korra it was all sort of hitting her at once and the poor girl was too embarrassed to truly talk about how she felt with Asami, and even more embarrassed to seek advice.

"So how is Asami... I haven't seen around here lately..." Kya questioned opening the door for Korra to talk if she needed to.

"She's great. I have been going to her place. It's kind of hard around here... you know how Tenzin is...But she is coming over tonight..." Korra replied knowing Kya would understand, Tenzin had rules for everything and everyone including Kya.

"I understand. Tenzin is uptight, he always has been. I will talk to him. You're not a kid anymore and he needs to respect that. It isn't like the two of you can really get into any trouble, anyway. He wants you to set an example for Jinora and Opal, but what he doesn't know is they are already sneaking in their boyfriends, so it isn't like you are going to have negative influence," Kya chuckled picturing the look on Tenzin's face if he knew the truth of what was truly going on under his roof.

Korra was grateful that Kya was going to speak up for her, but she didn't want to cause a problem. Korra had already made up her mind- she was sneaking Asami in tonight one way or another. Kya made a valid point though, it really was harmless letting them be together it wasn't like either one of them could get pregnant.

"Just be patient and I will see what I can do," Kya said warmly as she placed a hand on Korra's shoulder as a sign of support before leaving.

Korra smiled Kya cared for her as much Katara did, and it meant the world to her to have someone she could talk while she was here in Republic City when her usual support system was so far could feel Kya's sympathy for her and wondered if Tenzin even had rules for her when she stayed there.

She couldn't imagine Kya taking orders from her younger brother, but then Kya never lingered long at Air Temple Island, she often stayed in Republic City proper when she was visiting. But much like Korra, Kya prefered home at the South Pole with the rest of the Southern Water Tribe.

At least that was how Korra felt about Republic City originally but then she met Mako and Bolin and began to enjoy it. And then when she met Asami her things changed. She thought it was feelings for Mako rising inside her that made her want to stay but looking back she wasn't jealous at Asami for being with Mako but rather the opposite- being jealous of Mako for being with Asami.

Now, Korra couldn't picture leaving Republic City unless Asami came with her, but her whole world was here in the city so Korra was going to have to learn to embrace the faster paced city life. Korra closed the door to her room and undressed pulling a fresh set of clothes from closet.

The clothes were nothing special her usual light blue tank top, and dark blue/gray pants. As she dressed she examined her body noticing small bruises where Asami had playfully bit her. The marks didn't hurt, and were easily hidden as Korra dressed herself. Knowing they were there made her smile like she was carrying a reminder of Asami with her.

She slowly put on her arm bracers and guards as before heading to see if she could be of any assistance in training the new airbenders. As Korra walked around she quickly found out she wasn't really needed today, it seemed Tenzin had grown accustomed to Korra not being there to help as she had been traveling for the majority of the past two months.

Unsure of what to do, Korra headed back to her room- she was going to Kya's advice and attempt to meditate to reach out to her past lives. She headed into her room and closed the door behind herself. Korra kicked off her shoes and sat with her legs folded on top of each other cross legged. She closed her eyes and tried to channel the feeling of inner calm and peace she had with Asami.

Korra sat there still and determined focusing on those emotions yet nothing happened to her except she felt calm and at peace. She wasn't able to make connection to her past lives and the only effect it was having was allowing her to make an easier transition into the spirit world. She quickly frustrated and gave up on focusing on those emotions.

Korra began to question the emotions she had felt that night before she went to sleep. What exactly had she felt? That night she had experienced so many things that were new and exciting. She was positive Asami made her feel calm and at peace- she had always had that effect on her. But that night she had felt so many other emotions, especially as she laid there in bed with her girlfriend's warm, nude body pressed against her, feeling her wetness.

Korra shook her head pushing the thought from her mind- certain that the aching feeling between her legs that the memory elicited was not what led to that dream. The more she tried to pinpoint her emotions the more she got lost in the memory of Asami's body heat on her flesh, her face buried in her chest while Korra held her close. Clearly this line of thinking wasn't going to be productive so Korra gave up admitting defeat if only for the moment.

Feeling flustered and frustrated Korra threw herself backwards into the comfort of her mattress, hugging a pillow to her chest wishing it were Asami. Silently she accosted herself for not waking up Asami and divulging the dream. Maybe then Asami would have been able to help her identify what she was feeling. Korra sighed emotions were never her strong suit.

Sure she was human and had feelings but when it came to identifying them and labeling them she faltered. For so long she had hidden from her feelings for Asami that now, she had so many it was impossible to pinpoint what they were. Not to mention the overwhelming emotions that she experienced that day as she gave herself fully to Asami, making love for the first time.

Why did being the avatar have to rely so much on emotions? Wasn't it enough that she was physically gifted and had impressive mastery of the elements? Why did she have to be in touch with her emotions too? Wasn't it enough that she was empathetic towards others? Her empathy for others should be sufficient enough to carry out her avatar duties, her own emotions should be allowed to be hot mess if she so wished them to be.

Korra wasn't sure how long she had been lying there, lost in her own thoughts, sulking that she couldn't pinpoints the emotions she felt to meditate on but a soft knock on her door disrupted her thoughts. She got up from her bed and opened the door to find Tenzin standing on the other side nervously running his hands over his beard.

"Can I come in?" he asked Korra, his body language gave off away his uncomfortable nervous nature. Korra agreed opening the door wider before taking a seat on her bed.

"Korra, it has been brought to my attention that I have been...treating you like a child. You're not the teenager came to me needing to master airbending. I just haven't adjust adjusted to seeing you grow up...In regards to you and Asami I want you to know I support your choice and she is welcome here anytime. I understand she is coming here tonight. She can stay, but there is no room in the dormitories we are just spread to thin. I can spare a cot for her to stay with you. But I expect you to be responsible and discreet. And I'd like to apologize for overstepping and treating you like you were one of my children and trying to control you. I wasn't affording you the same freedoms I had at your age," Tenzin explained apologetically- clearly Kya had gotten through to him.

Kya had reminded him that Aang and Katara had granted him and Lin all the privacy they wanted when they were younger. In the rare times that his parents objected Lin and Tenzin would go stay at her place, where Toph had no rules for her children and they were free to do what they wanted without judgement.

Korra couldn't believe Tenzin had such a change of heart but she was grateful that Tenzin was seeing her not as a child or a precious avatar that needed to be protected but as a young adult just trying to live her life.

"Thank you," Korra replied respectfully as she bowed to Tenzin.

Tenzin nodded at Korra still uncomfortable with the entire situation, he wasn't happy with himself for denying Korra the same things he had wanted and received when he was her age. He couldn't help but feel horrible for overstepping the boundary between mentor and parent.

Though he loved Korra like she was his own, he had just been asked to watch out for until she turned of age. He had trouble seeing her as the responsible, mature adult she had blossomed into.

He remembered when she was just a kid and his mother was teaching her how to waterbend. It was hard to reconcile that image with the mature avatar in front of him. Tenzin excused himself and left to go lead a training session leaving Korra to her own devices once again.

Korra relaxed sitting with her back against the wall as she stretched on the bed, she owed Kya a big hug and a thank you. She needed to talk to the older waterbender about the fruitless meditation attempts, maybe Kya would agree that she was focusing on the wrong feelings. Korra did not want to believe that the dream was just that a dream and not a bridge to connecting to her past lives.

She made a mental note to seek out Kya later, right now she was letting the feeling of happiness wash over. Asami could stay, she felt so relieved. Korra knew it was so early in the relationship to feel such a strong need to be around Asami, but that feelings of aroha she had plus their near four year friendship helped to ease her concern over it. Plus, there was the factor that Asami seemed need her as much she did.

Korra allowed herself to fully relax and laid down on the bed, letting the inner turmoil of her emotions and thoughts fade. Instead a sleepiness crept over her. Sure she had managed to sleep her past two nights out, but it was a light that was interrupted often, as Asami moved closer to her. Her sleep was filled with dreams and desire waking her, and leaving her wanting for more and just as tired as before she slept.

While she laid there she felt peaceful, things seemed to be working out in her favor lately. Except her experience with Mako the night before. She knew that he was having trouble wrapping his head around her and Asami as a couple but Korra never imagined he would cross the line the way he did. He may have been drunk but alcohol was no excuse.

Asami claimed it was because Mako was still in love with her, but just because Korra had moved on didn't mean she didn't love him anymore. There would always be a place in her heart for him.

It wasn't like she had planned to fall in love with Asami and just move on from upon her return after three years. Things just sort of happened and she wasn't going to deny how she felt.

Korra was also upset with Mako because he never took into account his own actions. He had started dating her while still dating Asami. Then started dating Asami again while sort of dating her. He never owned up to he treated them. At least neither she nor Asami were involved with him when they started their relationship together.

Korra did understand how it could be difficult seeing two people you loved and to some degree are in love with dating, but it didn't give him the right to be an ass. She felt that way when he was dating Asami, though she had made a move on him, she never actively tried to hurt anyone.

Korra closed her eyes and emptied her mind thinking only of later that night allowing herself to fall into a deep restful sleep where her dreams were filled with images of her and Asami- some innocent and some intimate.

Asami sat at her desk picking through the salad she had ordered for lunch. It was now two o'clock and she had just caught up enough to take her lunch hour. She had asked Noriko not to be disturbed wanting some time to just decompress and knowing if she hadn't asked to be left alone the version of Noriko who was her friend and confidant would join her hounding her for details about her relationship with Korra.

Though Asami was suddenly more willing to share the information with her friend, she was still a bit apprehensive. She had a good thing going with Korra and had nagging childish fear that if she openly acknowledged too soon she would find the feelings and relationship fleeting before her very eyes.

Her work day had been surprisingly productive and with the weekend looming and Friday being tomorrow Asami decided to do something uncharacteristic and take the tomorrow off. Though she had traveled and been away from her office on adventures with Korra she had always managed to squeeze in work business on those trips minus their vacation to the spirit world.

Asami felt like for once letting loose and taking time to savor her relationship with Korra while it was in the early phase where they couldn't keep their hands off of each other. She had taken the liberty and bought tickets for the two of them to go to pro-bending match tomorrow night.

She had spared no expenses and bought the best seats in the stadium knowing Korra's love for the sport. She herself was fan but not on the level Korra was given the fact she had once been a member of a pro-bending team.

"Miss Sato?" the silence in her office was broken by her assistant's voice on speaker phone and judging by the tone it sounded like things were getting busy and she was apprehensive to bother Asami.

"Yes?" Assami sighed hoping she could at least finish her salad in peace.

"There is a call for you... I know you asked not to be disturbed but it is Avatar Korra..." Noriko responded with emphasis on Korra.

A smile spread across Asami's lips, she would always take Korra's calls. It was a pleasant interruption of an uneventful lunch break.

"I will take the call. Noriko, I will always take Korra's calls," she replied not caring that her voice sounded like a lovesick little girl as she said the last part which elicited a giggle from her assistant.

She knew her assistant was laughing at her because she never acted this way with anyone else she had dated before, but honestly Asami didn't care. She loved Korra, she had fallen for the gorgeous watertribe woman hard and she was rapidly finding the courage to admit it.

"Hello," Asami said into the phone with a smile on her face and wanton tone in her voice.

"Hey," Korra replied her voice was sleepy yet husky with desire.

"I had an interesting conversation with Tenzin and he said you could spend the night..." Korra started waiting to hear the young CEO's reaction.

Asami remained silent, she didn't know how she felt about at staying at Air Temple Island, she was positive Tenzin was going to have her sleep in the dormitories and she knew that she wouldn't be able to help herself and she would sneak off to Korra's room.

"Like stay in my room..."Korra clarified as if reading her lover's mind.

Asami was surprised, that certainly a change of heart considering how strict Tenzin's rules were.

"Of course I will. I just have to stop home and grab clothes. Do you want me to bring dinner? I can stop at the Radiant Dragon and grab flaming mooseox steaks, fire noodles, and some wine," Asami offered, she was in a good and felt like celebrating with a dinner from one of the most prominent restaurants in the city., it also helped that the food was traditional Fire Nation fare and reminded Asami of her mother and her father and happy times.

"You don't have to..." Korra started knowing the restaurant was pricey and was uncomfortable with Asami spending so much on her.

"I know I don't. I want to Korra," she chided reminding Korra she spent her money how she wanted to, and that happened to be on her, on them. She had more money that she'd ever need so Asami did what made her happy.

Korra agreed but hid the discomfort that still remained about the price tag of the dinner her girlfriend was determined to bring over.

Korra was use to surviving off the cheaper things in life, as avatar she didn't have conventional income and had to rely on generosity and the odd jobs she could pick up to meet ends. It made her uncomfortable to know that her dinner was coming from one of if not the most expensive place in the city.

"Are you free tomorrow night?" Asami asked trying to change the subject and also needing to know if Korra could even make it to the pro-bending match she had impulsively purchased tickets for.

She heard Korra laughing on the other end was confused before sh heard the avatar's reply: "You are the only thing I have planned."

Asami could feel herself blush as she chuckled, Korra was certainly bold and had an interesting way with words. But, she had made her point to Asami, that she was the only thing in her life that mattered.

"Good. I have a surprise for you," the CEO replied and refused to give Korra any hints as she tried pry information out of her.

With the majority of her lunch hour left, Korra decided to open up to Asami about the dream she had and the subsequent conversation she had with Kya about which led to the failed meditation.

"Why didn't you wake me?" Asami softly, there was no malice or accusatory tone in her voice just concern. Korra couldn't give her an answer. The best she had was she didn't want to disturb Asami, but in hindsight that was hardly an excuse.

"I'll help you. We will figure this out," Asami promised when Korra couldn't answer her question- she knew her girlfriend was struggling to make sense of everything.

"Asami... do you feel it too? The familiarity, the closeness, like we knew each other before. The intense...love?" Korra questioned afraid to know the answer but not knowing was worse, she tried to keep the fear and desperation out of her voice. What if Asami didn't feel it? What if it was one sided relationship?

"I do. I love you, Korra," the words fell out of Asami's mouth without a second thought. She meant every word. She knew the exact feelings Korra was describing.

She didn't necessarily mean to say I love you, but she also felt better now that it was out there in the open. Asami felt panicked when Korra didn't respond right away, then she heard the faint sound of crying coming through the phone.

"Korra, are you okay?" her voice was riddled with concern. She shouldn't have said those three words out loud so soon. Korra was already upset and she now put pressure on her by saying those words.

"I *sniffs* love you, too." Korra replied, she was crying out of happiness and relief- it was evident in her voice.

"Baby, we will figure out your dream and how to make contact. I will help you. I always have your back. For always and forever," Asami reiterated letting Korra know she believed in her and was going to help her get to the bottom of this- she wouldn't let Korra fight this battle alone.

Korra mumbled in agreement still upset, feeling as though she had squandered, possibly her only chance to reconnect with her past lives, and also upset at the failed meditations. She just couldn't figure out her emotions, sure Asami promised to help but it didn't help her feel less like a failure.

Asami hated to have to end the end conversation sensing that she needed to talk still, but her lunch was over and if she applied herself she could finish up her work and be out before five. She ended the conversation with Korra but not without giving her the number that lead directly to her line telling her if she needed anything or talk call.

She wasn't use to seeing, or rather hearing, the ever confident avatar who had been her rock sound so down and defeated. The last time she sounded so defeated Korra had disappeared for three years, Asami had just gotten Korra back she couldn't lose her again.

By the time Asami had ended her phone call and finished eating it was three fifteen. She quickly let her assistant know her lunch was over and dove straight into her paperwork. She was mainly reading monthly status reports from her factories. The bulk of her work the rebuilding project, had to be reviewed by Korra and the version of Korra she had spoken to on the phone did not seem up to such a task.

As she poured over the notes Asami tried to soothe her worrying mind. It had been an eventful and emotional twenty-four hours for Korra. Perhaps she was just overwhelmed trying to process everything. Afterall, Korra had sex for the first time, multiple times in the past twenty-four hours, there was the Mako debacle, the dream, the failed meditation, and the fact that they had been open and honest with each other about how they felt.

It was a lot for Asami to process herself now that she thought about it, and she wasn't knew to serious relationships. Asami started to feel guilty, for the greedy way she had been with Korra. She had been all over her last night and this morning without considering how she was processing everything. Asami had over looked it being first time because she had performed like someone who knew exactly what they were doing.
