Moving in: Akui

Akui's ride to U.A. was uncomfortably quiet. The hero she was sitting next to clearly didn't want to strike up a conversation, and she was perfectly fine with that. If only she'd stop staring at me like I'm going to hurt her or something worse... Akui thought, shifting to be more comfortable. The hero slightly backed away as she did. Akui sighed, staring out the window, unsure if she was ready to go to U.A. yet. If this is how I'm going to be treated by everyone, I'm not so sure I want to. She thought.

A few more minutes passed by in silence when the school came into view. It was beautiful. Akui's eyes widened in awe as the sun glinted off of the windows. The SUV she was in rolled to a stop, and the hero got out first, opening the door for her. She got out and saw Nezu, and who she'd come to realize was the pro hero Eraserhead. Nezu spoke up, telling the other two SUVs that they could go. He then looked at the two former villains, a spark of what seemed like excitement in his eyes.

"Welcome to U.A., you two," Nezu said with a smile. "We hope that this experiment is a success and hope you can be reformed." Akui bowed in thanks, straightening up after a moment. She heard Tekina thank the principal as well. "Akui, you will go with Aizawa. Tekina, you will be with me. We will be going throughout the school and to your dorms to give you the basic layout of the area. Come now, we have much to see." Nezu said as he walked toward the entrance of U.A. "See you later, Akui." Tekina called. She turned around for a moment. "See you." She turned back around to go with Aizawa.

"Well, let's get going." Aizawa instructed, leading Akui into the school. They went a different way than Tekina and Nezu, turning toward some plain-looking classrooms. "Here's the Business course classrooms. You can guess what they do here." Aizawa stated, his tone very monotonous sounding. "Next, there's the General Studies department. They're more like regular school instead of hero training." He showed her the classrooms. "There's the Support Department." He said, gesturing toward the department. Akui saw a strange pink-haired girl building something in one of the rooms. "Then finally, here are the Hero course classrooms. They aren't easy, so don't join just for fun." Aizawa said. He then took Akui to the principal's office so she could make her choice.

"Now, there is one other reason I wanted you and Ms. Chisa here at UA. The hero profession is full of risks. While the media reports and shows most of the victories and good things in the hero profession, they don't report on the fatalities if they can help it. Through the past five years, we have had more U.A. alumni die than in the past fifteen. While the Staff here are Heros, and they have experienced fighting villains, it would be better to have former villains help the students." Akui heard the principal say as she entered the office. "So you need Akui and me to teach the Hero hopefuls what the heroes can't." Tekina said, looking at Nezu.

"If you don't want to, that's fine. You can still continue with your reform. Aizawa will be talking to you about this." Akui agreed with Tekina about helping the heroes-in-training with learning about villains. Tekina left, and Akui turned to go as well, but Nezu stopped her. "What department would you like to join?" He asked. She paused to think for a moment, considering the options carefully. After a moment she answered. "The Hero Department, sir." Nezu smiled. "I thought you would want to go there." Akui smiled a little, starting to head out again.

"Oh, and another thing." Nezu called. Akui stopped and turned back around with a questioning glance."Would you keep an eye on him? He's a rulebreaker, I can tell" He said with a smile. Akui nodded. "Yes, sir." She began to leave again. "At least make sure he doesn't get in too much trouble." Nezu called with a hint of mischief in his voice. She nodded and went out toward her dorm.

Her room was on the 5th floor, close to Tekina's. She opened the door to see a very plain room. It had white walls, a small bed in the corner, and no decorations at all. There was a closet and a bathroom on the opposite wall from her bed. A large window was by the foot of the bed. Akui walked over to the window and saw students walking around with their friends, having a good time. I wonder if that'll ever happen to me. People probably think I'm a monster, and I don't know how to convince them otherwise. She thought, a bit glum. She heard the clock strike, signaling that it was 4:00.

She paced around, exploring the bare room. I need to get some decorations in here or something. She mused, going to sit on the bed. It was comfortable. Much more comfortable than the prison beds, or the one I had back with Dad. She thought, laying down for a small nap. Before she did, she heard Tekina yell something. I'm sure it's nothing. She thought before drifting off to sleep.
