Third Person's Point of View

The air around Gaeas now cooling body began to crackle with energy. The death of a primordial goddess was not something that had happened before. Sure, many of the primordials had faded before, but they had left the plane of existence in peaceful ways. Whenever they felt they had served their respective purposes, they simply moved on. Never before had a being of such power been forced to fade by the hand of another. Gaea's body began to twitch and convulse. Suddenly, she exploded into fine silver dust, the shade of primordial blood. After a section of the battlefield was covered, like a fog suddenly descended from the heavens, the silver halted before rushing into one Percy Jackson. His body began to glow an ethereal brown, the colour of caked mud on a sunny day after harsh rains. The Demi-gods looked on in awe, while the monsters cowered in fear.

Percy Jackson's Point of View

My body hummed as it became accustomed to this new power. I knew that I wasn't suddenly the primordial god of the Earth. I merely absorbed the part of Gaea's earth powers that would be useable on top of my own. Imagine that my past power over land was 12% of my potential only when I was in enough rage to use it. Now, I could use it willing and at near max strength. While absorbing the energy from the, now faded, primordial, I went from a pleasant feeling, resonating throughout my body, to an electrifying, near burning heat. If I didn't somehow rid myself of the fire coursing through me I would spontaneously combust. Turning around to face the horde of monsters staring at me in shock, I let out a bloodcurdling scream. Falling to my knees as I thrust my hand out hundreds of earthen spikes came flying out of the ground. I only heard the cheers of victory as my vision turned bright gold, the abruptly black.
