(It has been ages since I last updated. Covid hit, the world went nuts, then I found out I was pregnant when Covid hit. I hit a brick wall mentally as well, so I apologise so much for not posting anything! Hope all is well with you all. Baby is now born, doing well regardless of being born with an extremely rare medical condition and full of energy!)

Carson exited the operating theatre hours later, looking rather worst for wear and noted Ronan, Teyla, and John waiting for him in the infirmary. Ronan and Teyla were asleep on one of the beds. John was laying on one also, staring into space, only to shoot up to his feet when he saw and heard Carson appear.
"Doc, how is she? Is she okay? Is she alive? Will she live?" John asked frantically, waking Teyla and Ronan in the process.
"Calm down Coronal. Elizabeth, my god, that woman is the strongest person I know. It was very touch and go for a while, but we have managed to stabilise her. I can't even begin to imagine what she went through. She's resting now."
"Can I see her?" John asked?
"Not right now. I want her to rest without unnecessary interruptions for at least the next 24 hours" Carson replied
"What is her recovery looking like Carson?" Teyla asked
"I am not sure as of yet. She should recover physically. Mentally, that is another story. I have no idea. I'm keeping her here for as long as I need to. Coronal, I take it you can, or you can organise other arrangements for who is in charge of Atlantis for the unforeseeable future?"
"Consider it done"
Ronan stood up, charged his weapon and stormed out of the infirmary. John and Teyla followed. John and Teyla were just as angry as Ronan.
Carson watched the three of them leave. He turned back and re-entered the infirmary and sat on a chair next to Elizabeth. He gave her hand a tight squeeze, looking at his leader who he had come to call one his close friends.
The three of them arrived at the brig, storming past all security who tried their best to stop the three of them.
As they entered the brig, Major Lorne approached the three of them.
"Don't even try Major" Ronan said.
Major Lorne allowed them to approach the cell, but refused to drop the forcefield.
"What do you have to say for yourself?" Ronan asked
Koyla looked up, smirking.
"I have nothing to say to either of you. If your leader gave me what I wanted, I wouldn't have had to gone to any drastic measures"
Just then, John hit the override and lowered the forcefield, bolted towards Koyla with Ronan and held him against the wall, much to Koyla's surprise.
"Whoa, Whoa, stop now Coronal and Ronan. Stand down!"
Coronal Carter's voice surprised the three of them.
John had contacted Stargate Command and informed them of the situation while Elizabeth was in theatre. John did not feel he was in the head space to lead Atlantis, and had requested Stargate Command send in someone, to which Carter volunteered herself.
"Coronal, just give us a few moments with him…"
"No Coronal, I can't allow that. The Pentagon has requested we sent Koyla to Earth for punishment. I promise you he will be sentenced accordingly." Carter replied, with Lorne by her side.
John and Ronan both dropped Koyla to the ground hard, then left the brig, Carter following suit.
"Okay, fill me in. How is Dr Weir?" Carter asks?

It has been 24 hours, Coronal Carter had settled in. John refused to leave Elizabeth's side, much to Carson's requests to go get some rest and something to eat. It became a waste of breath and he finally let him stay.
Elizabeth was responding better physically than Carson expected.
"Mmmm" A voice startled John out of stance.
"Liz?" He asked
"John?" Elizabeth responded. "Where am I?"
"You're in the infirmary at Atlantis….Doc?" John responded.
Carson walked over to Elizabeth, along with Coronal Carter, who was getting an update from Carson.
"Elizabeth, good to see you awake…how are you feeling?" Carson asked, taking note of Elizabeth's vitals.
"Did you say infirmary? No I can't…too much to do…" Elizabeth attempted to get out of bed, only to be stopped by John and Carson.
"Not so fast. You aren't going anywhere until I say." Carson said.
"But…" a protested Elizabeth started
"Don't worry, I'll keep everything in order until you are back on your feet." Carter replied, stepping forward.
"Coronal, when did you get here? Please don't let anyone sink the city, especially Rodney"
Carter smiled "I won't and I will keep an watchful eye on Rodney"
"Nice to hear you all think highly of me. Hey Sam, Hey Liz" Rodney suddenly out of no where.

A week later, Elizabeth had been released from the infirmary, having promised to take the next three weeks off for recovery and to talk to Dr Heightmeyer on a constant basis. There was no getting out of it, no matter how much Elizabeth pleaded with Carson, but deep down, she knew she would need all the help she could get.
Elizabeth found herself getting bored and eagerly wanting to get back to work but couldn't even pick up a laptop without Carson and his spies finding out about it.
"John to Elizabeth, come in"
Elizabeth startled over John's voice over her radio.
"Go ahead John"
"Report to the Jumper Bay"
Jumper Bay? Why? Elizabeth made her way to the Jumper Bay to find John waiting for her next to a Jumper.
"John?" Elizabeth asked. "What's going on?"
"I'm taking you on that joy ride to the mainland you've been wanting to go on" John replied with a smirk.
"Leave Atlantis on a joy ride? Are you nuts?! We can't do that!" Elizabeth replied.
"Yes we can, Carson and Carter has allowed me to take you out for a few hours. Shall we?"
John led Elizabeth inside the Jumper and promptly sat her down on a chair.
"Now stay" John said as he said down at the console.
"I'm not a dog John…Seriously, what are you doing? You can't seriously think you can make me believe that you got permission to-…"
"Enjoy your flight!" Coronel Carter's voice piped over the Jumper's communications.
"Believe me now?" John said as he flew the Jumper out of the main city towards the mainland.
