Firestorm's Melody
Summary
Firestorm finds herself as PineClan's next medicine cat when Shadowpool is suddenly killed. Will Firestorm and Cinderpelt be up to the task? Especially if Firestorm is expecting kits?
Claws, Teeth And Fur
I clawed at the Twoleg as he put me down and that was my chance for escape so I took it and bolted. They gave chase and I ran faster.
My heart pounds in my chest. My breathing is heavy. My paws are moving quicker than a lightning bolt. But they're still gaining on me. Those spindly furless legs. Give me the major creeps.
As I dived and weaved my way under bushes and trees the Twolegs kept chasing me. I froze and came to a screeching hault when I came to the edge of the Thunderpath.
I looked back over my shoulder, I hissed, turned and dove into the road. I rolled and just missed getting hit by the Monster by the skin of my teeth.
Once I was safely on the other side of the Thunderpath, I took deep gasps of breath, my chest heaving and my paws aching as I ran through the tunnel that lead into LightningClan's territory.
I stumbled into the camp, I was exausted but I needed to make it back to PineClan before sunhigh.
I saw some LightningClan cats approach me but my paws collapsed underneath of me and everything went black. I awoke to the worried face an unfamiliar cat. It defiantly wasn't Shadowpool, I know that for sure.
This cat had icy blue eyes and a silvery-blue pelt. She must be LightningClan's medicine cat if I were to guess, and my guess was apparently correct.
"Bluepool, is the kit okay?" The now named Bluepool looked up to see a sleek, she-cat with black and white fur and worried amber eyes.
"She'll be fine after a few days of rest. Lightningpaw, could you get me some poppie seeds and something for this young kit to eat? She looks like she hasn't eaten in days." Bluepool meowed, and Lightningpaw nodded and ran off to get the requested items.
"So your name's Bluepool?" I asked, and the silvery-blue she-cat nodded and looked me over with worried icy blue eyes.
"I'm LightningClan's medicine cat and Lightningpaw is my apprentice. What is your name young one?" Bluepool asked, and I was reminded of how I was the age to become an apprentice but because me and Cinderkit had snuck out of camp, we were still kits.
"M-my name is Firekit, it's nice to meet you Bluepool. I want to become a medicine cat to, me and Cinderkit both do." I said, and Bluepool smiles warmly at me. It was then that Lightningpaw returned with the poppy seeds and a mouse for me to eat.
"Hmmm... Strange. Hay, Bluepool? This kit smells faintly of LightningClan but I've never seen her before." Lightningpaw remarked, and Bluepool gave a thoughtful hmm sound.
"I'm from PineClan" I say, and Bluepool and Lightningpaw both stare at me in shock. I felt my ears grow hot as I felt their stares burning through my pelt.
"I was told by my mother, Firelily, that my biological mother's name was Fireleep" I said, and Bluepool's eyes widened in realization.
"Your Fireleep's kit?" Bluepool asked, and I nodded, I was a bit confused at the way Bluepool was acting.
"StarClan you are a LightningClan kit! Your mother was a LightningClan warrior but she was killed by a monster on the thunderpath about six moons ago." Bluepool explained, and my stomach tightened into knots as I gulped and stared up at Bluepool and Lightningpaw with nervous and wide eyes.
