Alright I'm back with another chapter and this one was interesting to write and I hope you enjoy this one. But more importantly, GT4 IS OUT yes I've been excited for this one and can't wait for future instalments. I don't own Index or its characters. Kazuma Kamachi is the owner I only own OC's.
With that out of the way, it's time for your comments.
Fortitude501: It's funny you say that because Heath Ledger's Joker was one of my inspirations for Alex and I'm happy that I've piqued your interest hope you stick around for when things get ugly.
Onilink500: Yes Touma's mentality is strong but this villain knows how to push his buttons. Almost every word and action Alex does is to hurt Touma right in his heart. Ayu, Misaki and Seria are some of my favourite characters so MAYBE just MAYBE I'll include them just not yet we'll see
Guest: Yeah I do need someone to help with proofreading this story and I have someone for that but I still intend to get better.
Also a warning I forgot to mention is that replicating the personality of characters for stories is not one of my stronger skills so please tell me if I get far from the characters or if I'm at least close enough.
Touma was taking a stroll around district 7 for a bit of fresh air after all the craziness that has been on his mind for the past few days.
'I have a bad feeling this person sending me these letters is going to make another move sooner or later.'
Honestly, this guy creeped him out. This guy knew him. Like actually KNEW him.
It was kind of an unsettling thing. Someone who is after actually knows who you are despite not knowing who the other person is and also for the fact that Touma had lost his memories and they're never to return.
Touma then felt his pocket vibrate so he pulled his phone out and opened it and answered his ringing phone.
"Hello?"
"Just because you forgot the past doesn't mean the past forgot about you."
After these words were spoken Kamijou froze in the middle of the street with widened eyes.
Those words were the exact words that were said from the first letter.
'H-How did he get my number?!' Touma thought.
"There's an alleyway to your right go into it." The voice instructed.
Touma looked all around him quickly to see if he was being watched but all he saw were normal bystanders minding their own business.
"Go into the alley." The voice repeated.
Touma did as he was told. He was thinking that he was going to be lead to somewhere important like a clue the person left out for him or maybe there was another dead body or worse a trap but Touma was willing to see what the voice wanted him to see.
All this person had done was screw with him and did not hurt him or anyone he knew but Touma of course also knew that this person was dangerous.
Touma walked down the alley like he was told and the voice spoke again.
"Good. Now turn left and there will be a door to your left walk through the door, go up the stairs until you reach the first room to your right and go into it."
After the voice finished speaking he hung up the phone.
Touma turned left to see the door that the voice told him about and walked through it.
Touma then found the stairs in front of him so he walked up them.
When he reached the top of the stairs he saw a hallway and to his right was the door that he was told to enter.
The door had a note that said.
Enter this room and sit in the seat
So Touma entered the room and saw a chair in the middle of the room in front of a glass barrier.
There was a small light that hung from the ceiling that barely lit the whole room.
Touma sat into the seat and a few seconds later a light turned on to reveal someone sitting on the other side of the glass.
This person had slicked back blonde hair had a white jacket with two black outlines on both sides of the jacket coming from the bottom of the jacket that travelled to the armpit area and went all the way along to his sleeve.
He also had a grey shirt under his jacket and also wore black pants with white shoes.
He wore a smirk on his face as his green eyes looked at Touma.
"It's been a long time Touma. It truly feels like it's been forever since we last saw each other."
Touma looked at him with a stern expression.
"To clarify yes I am the one who sent you those letters.
Touma finally spoke after a while.
"Who are you?"
"Kondoko Alex but you can simply call me Alex."
Alex looked at Touma's facial expression.
"Heh not bothering to put on an act? Alright then fine by me as I know of you memory loses."
Huh? Memory loses but he only knew of the one.
"Don't worry about it Breaker of Illusions."
"What do you want with me? What's all this about?" Touma leaned forward a bit as he spoke.
The boy who called himself Alex raised his index finger and wagged it as if to say no and shook his head.
"Sorry don't want to give out spoilers so early in our game."
The fact that this boy thought that murder was a game made Touma feel angry.
"You think killing innocent people is a game?!"
Alex crossed his arms and turned his head to the left with his smirk still on his face.
"Oh no not the innocent people part. I try to not involve innocent people in our little game the students from the school that died in the explosion died because they weren't fast enough but I do feel regret that they couldn't survive."
His smirk faltered slightly but when back to how it was.
Alex let out a breath and turned his head straight again.
"You never change do you?"
Alex said but Touma asked a question.
"You said you don't hurt innocent people but what the student who you delivered to Anti-skill?"
"Oh, he actually killed him. He couldn't take what he was seeing my ability can be a powerful effect on a person's brain."
Alex paused but then continued.
"I wasn't planning on killing him I just wanted to scare him a little then deliver him to Anti-skill for a message that was meant for you."
Alex uncrossed his arms and shrugged.
"He couldn't take it so he took the gun from one of my men and shot himself."
Touma then stood up and said "You didn't answer my question. What do you want with me?"
Alex then tilted his head down to stare at the floor then stood up like Touma.
"I'm here to kill you."
Alex paused for a few seconds and his smirk dropped and his face turned stern and serious and spoke with a more raised tone.
"I'm here because I'm answering prayers. Preyers that involve you dead. I'm here because your death was wished upon by the souls you have harmed. I'm sick I know that I'm not trying to justify WHAT I'm doing what I'm justifying is WHY I'm doing it."
"I'm not the villain here nor am I the hero I am your judge and executor on behalf of all the lives you have destroyed."
Alex's voice got a little louder with his next words.
"Everything I do to you I do it because you deserve it."
After those words, Alex closed his eyes and breathed out and his face turned into a more calm expression but his eyes still burned with a fire to them.
Alex sat back down to his seat.
"Look behind you." Alex simply said.
Touma turned his body and his expression turned into one of shock.
A male student with brown hair was duct-taped to the wall with cut marks all over his body and face. Blood covered the body from head to toe it was truly a horrid sight.
Touma then quickly turned his head to angrily stare at the boy on the other side of the glass and speak his mind when Touma found that it wasn't a boy sitting in the chair anymore.
It was a blonde middle school girl with a big chest that would belong to a girl older her age that wore the familiar Tokiwadai middle school uniform.
"What's wrong my prince you look rather angry with me."
The girl spoke with an ear-to-ear smirk but the tone was rather mocking."
Then her body started to glitch and suddenly the middle school student turned into a familiar high school student.
Kumokawa Seria.
"Aw, do you want Senpai to give you a lap pillow to make you feel better?"
The upperclassman spoke with a smirk and mocking tone of her own.
The older women's body glitched and she changed into another person but one that he didn't know but deep inside felt like he should.
He had the same feeling with the blonde middle school girl.
This time the girl sitting in the chair had brown hair that looked as soft as cotton candy and was also wearing a Tokiwadai uniform.
"Will you save this time Kamijou-Kun?" The girl spoke with an expression that looked like she was saddened.
The words made Kamijou's eyes widened and for some reason, he felt like a knife stabbed into his heart but he didn't know why.
The girl then giggled and her body proceeded to glitch.
Slowly the girl turned into the form of Alex who had a grin on his face.
"That was a preview of my ability called Reality Shifter."
Touma then grew an angry face and Alex thought to tell a piece of information to explain the body taped to the wall.
"The guy on the wall by the way was planning on doing something disgusting to a girl so I helped her out."
Touma's expression didn't change.
"Well that's all the time we have for today but I still have a lot in store for our game."
Alex stood up and spoke again.
"Until we meet again."
The light above Alex then turned off and after a few seconds after the light went back on Alex was gone.
Touma turned to leave when he saw a note on the door and it read...
God of Plague
