Atlantis Council Room / NavaVideeum C / DP 0
(Alexandr POV)
It's been a few days since I've activated the field to dilate time, and I'm sitting in the council chambers. To my left are Cyla Urbanus (Councilor for Health), Helia (New Councilor for Defense), Herododus (Councilor for the Army).
To my right are Seaneme (Councilor for Education), Sivahi (Councilor for Science), Glothunad (Councilor for Home Affairs), and finally Atrundox (Councilor for Agriculture and Economy).
"So Glothund, how are the citizens?" I asked.
"They are doing well, and they are happy to be back in Atlantis. And I already suspect that they have started to reproduce," Glothunad told me.
"Okay," I said. "We will need a lot of people to resurrect our race," I finished.
"I agree, but there's one problem," Cyla said.
"What's the one problem?" I asked.
"Even if people multiply quickly, one pregnancy lasts twelve months, not counting the time they need to seal after giving birth. So they can have one child, after fourteen months. Although we can live three million years, It will take a billion years to restore our former glory, "Cyla said.
"And what is your solution?" I asked.
"If I remember correctly, we have somewhere in the Atlantis database that we invented during the wars against the Wraith. These devices can help us with our strength," said Cyla, who has read the entire history of her sleep.
"And what's the device?"
"It's an artificial womb. We take DNA from the parents, and then the baby will develop in that womb. In less months, but it can happen again as soon as she gives birth to one baby," Cyla said.
I looked at her, and then I looked at the others in the room and asked, "Do you agree?".
"Yes, we agree. This device will help us," everyone in the room said.
"All right," I said, turning to Cyle. "Start working on it," I told her.
Then I turned to Atrundox.
"How's the food?" I asked.
"We still have enough food, but it won't be enough for us soon. We will need more than the farms on Destiny can produce," Atrundox said. "Soon we will have to expand to the mainland, and start growing there as well," Atrundox finished.
"Okay, then start planning," I told Atrundox, and he nodded. Then I turned to Helia.
"Helia," I said.
"Yes, the emperor?" Helia asked.
"You can start making plans to defend it according to the system," I said.
"Yes, I can. But why?" Helia asked. "Do you think anyone will attack us?" Helia finished her question.
"I don't think so, but if I did. Then I want to be ready," I said.
"Okay, I'll start," Helia told me, and I nodded. Then I turned to Herodotus.
"How's the military?" I asked.
"Well, all the ships have been fully repaired. And now systems are being installed there that have been improved since their launch," Herodotus said. "And the shipyard will be completed in a few months," he finished his report.
"Okay," I said, and I already remarked in my head to make plans for new ships.
Then I turned to Seaneme and asked her, "Is there anything going on in you education that we would have to deal with?".
"No, Emperor," Seaneme said. "Everything is going perfectly, we have few teachers, but it will be solved in time," Seaneme finished.
"Okay," I told her, and then I turned to Sivahi.
"Is something going on in the sciences?" I asked her.
"Yes, I was making plans for a stargate powered by black holes and large enough to transport ships," Sivahi told me. "I have your permission to make those plans," Sivahi finished.
"Yes, finish it," I said.
"Yes, Emperor," she said, and I turned to everyone.
"Anything else, do we have to work something out today?" I asked, but no one said anything, so I nodded. "Okay, if you don't have anything, you can open it. The next meeting will be in a week," I said, and they all nodded and then they all stood, and then left the door. So in a few minutes, I was left alone in the rooms.
Five days later
He went to a science lab where Cyla and Sivaha were working on an artificial womb to increase our population slightly. I came to the lab, and I immediately saw Cyle and Sivahi working on the consoles.
"Hello, ladies," I greeted as I entered the room.
"Hello, emperors," they greeted them together when they saw me.
"How it goes ?" I asked when I was inside.
"Well, we've already started building them in an empty room here in Atlantis, and it's estimated to be ready in a year," Cyla said.
"Okay, and how many can fit in the room?" I asked.
"A total of ten artificial wombs can fit in one room," Sivahi said.
"Okay," I told them. "And how's your project going?" I asked Sivahi.
"Okay, the Supergate project is progressing very well. I should have a working prototype in about a few years," Sivahi said.
"Okay," I said, turning to leave the lab. But I stopped at the door and turned to Cyle.
"Cylo!" I called to her, and she turned to me.
"Yes?" she asked me.
"Will you come to dinner with me tonight?" I asked.
"Like a date?" of she asked in surprise.
"If you want," I said. "So, are you accepting?" I asked.
"Yes, I'm dark," she said.
"Okay, I'll see you tonight, I'll pick you up at ten," I said, and left the door.
"Goodbye," Cyla said softly before returning to work, but she was still thinking about her date with the emperor.
Three days later / Night
I was sitting in my office, making plans for new ships in our fleet. But even so, my memories keep coming back to my new girlfriend Cyla Urban. Three dates were enough, and we have already become a couple. And so I loved her.
But I put those memories aside for a moment, and began to focus on my work, the plans of the new ships.
First, I started designing a new Dreadnought class ship, and to that I borrowed a ship design from Star Wars, the super star destroyer class Executor.
And I drifted back into my memories again.
And yes, when I didn't know I was the son of Alteran, I liked Star Wars, Mass Effect and Battlestar Galactica, so I wrote fanfiction where I build my empire and have a fleet inspired by these universes.
But now, I have to focus on the plans on the ship. I made a plan, and began specifying and showing where those things should be.
Super Star Destroyer Class Executor:
Dagger shape
Length 20 kilometers
Width in the engine area of 5 kilometers and then it decreases to 1 kilometer
Height is 500 meters
Under the lighted engines
Hyperdrive engines in the galaxy and also intergalactic
Drone launchers
Shields, weapons and hyperdrive powered by ZPM
Pulse weapons
Laser weapons
Basic disk
Static pods
Puddle Jumpers
Self-destruction
Auxiliary bridge
Control chair
Control console
Sensors
Auxiliary fighters
These were components taken from other ships, but then I put weapons there, which I made myself.
As:
Plasma weapons
Black Hole Bomb
Planet killer
And a mega-ion cannon that can knock out all the electricity
I completed plans for a new ship, and then sent it to Herododus to check.
When this was done, I started making plans for fighters. But I didn't do that at all, and I copied TIE fighters from Star Wars. But even so, I improved it a bit, with shields and a hyperdrive that will be powered by ZPM.
When everything was done and sent, I went to bed because I'm already tired. And I fell asleep immediately.
Altantida Council Room / NavaVideeum C / DP 1
I sat in the council room, waiting for all the council members. When the last one came in, I got up and greeted them.
"Welcome to the next council meeting," I said, and sat down. I turned to Helia, the defense councilor, and asked, "What about the defenses in this system and the planets?"
"Okay, I've already completed my plans," Helia told me.
"Okay, tell us," I said, and Helia got up, and a hologram came out of the table, and began to change as Helia spoke.
"To defend the planets, I devised a belt of weapons that would be installed around all the planets we ever colonize. Each defense system would be powered by three ZPMs, and would have installed all the weapons we had ever invented, as well as shields. Such as drone weapons, plasma weapons, laser weapons, pulse weapons, and mega-ion weapons, "Helia said, and I and the others in the room, I, would divide the defensive strip on the hologram, and I liked what I saw.
After that, another device appeared on the hologram, and Helia continued, "And then I made up this when the planetary defense fails, and here's the planetary shield. If the enemies overcame the planetary defenses, the planetary shield would activate and the enemies couldn't." bomb the surface and land with an underground invasion ".
With that, Helia finished and sat down in her chair again, and asked me, "Are you pleased?"
"Yes, very much" I complimented her and she sat up proudly. "How long will it take to build it all?" I asked.
"About a hundred years," Helia said.
I nodded, and replied, "Get to work, we have plenty of time."
Helia nodded, and I turned to Herododus.
"Is the shipyard ready?" I asked.
"Yes, and new Executor ships and several Aurora-class ships have begun to be built," Herodous said.
"Okay, but don't build more than we need," I said, and Herodotus nodded, and I turned to Atrundox.
"How's farming on the mainland?" I asked.
"Well, half the mainland was already full. And we're saying we'll have enough food for two billion people," Atrundox said.
I nodded, and looked at Cyle.
"How's the artificial womb project doing?" I asked.
"We already have the first prototypes ready, but we have to try it on someone. And we also improved them," said Cyla.
"How did they improve?" I asked.
"Now one artificial womb can have up to three children at a time," Cyla said proudly.
"Good job," I complimented her.
"Thanks, but we still have to try," Cyla said.
"Yes, do you already have someone bloated?" I asked.
"Yes, we do, I'll find up to two couples who want to try it first because they're not fertile, so they can't normally have a child, so when I announced this invention, all five the couple volunteered, "Cyla said.
"Okay," I said. "What are their names ?" I asked.
"The first couple is called Henry Lawson and Mary Lawson," Cyla said.
I froze at that, because Herry Lawson's name is familiar to me from Mass Effect, so I asked, "What's his father's name?"
"Henry Lawson," Cyla said.
When I heard the name a second time, I confirmed that I had heard it correctly and that she had really said what she had said.
"Okay, and the other couple?" I asked, but I no longer listened. Because one thing occurred to me, and that is, if there is an Alteran named Henry Lawson, what if there was an entire galaxy from Mass Effect, where their races exist. So when Cyla spoke, I kept thinking about it.
The last sentences of Cely brought me out of my thoughts.
"None of these couples can have children normally, so they hope this project will help them," Cyla finished, sitting back in her chair.
"Okay, so start working right away," I told her, and she nodded. I looked at all the board members and asked, "Is there anything else we need to address today?"
When no one answered, I said they could leave, so they all left, leaving only me and Cyla in the room. After the last councilor left and closed the door behind her, Cyla walked over to me and sat in my lap and kissed me.
When we separated, she asked me, "How are you?"
"I have a headache, from all my duties. But we are helping to overcome the fact that our race will be restored again," I told her.
Cyla just nodded, then replied, "I know, but for a moment, and our race will be restored."
I nodded and asked, "At my place today?"
"Sure," she said and kissed me, and stood out of my lap, and left the room.
Three days later
It was three days, and I headed for the room where the artificial womb was placed, and when I entered the room, I saw Cyle working on one console.
When Cyla heard the sound of the door opening, she turned to me, but when she saw me, she smiled, and when I reached her, she kissed me.
When we separated, I asked, "Why did you call me?"
"The test worked," she told me with a smile.
"I'm glad," I said.
"Come with me," she said, turning to the artificial moons I saw when I first entered the room.
"Here are the Lawsn children," Cyla said, pointing to the first womb.
"More than one?" I asked.
"Yes, the twins. They've even chosen names," Cyla said. "And in this are the children of the second couple," Cyla continued, pointing to the other womb.
"More than one, too?" I asked.
"Yes, triplets," Cyla said with a smile.
"Okay, I'm glad it worked," I said. "And how long will they evolve?" I asked.
"They're accelerating, so about six months," Cyla told me.
"Okay, so they sent a message to everyone who can't have children the normal way and wants children. So let them report to you," I said, and Cyla nodded, and I left the room.
A few days later / Alexander's bedroom
It's a few days later, and Cyla and I are lying together in my bed thinking about things.
The day before yesterday, the first Alteran child was born, and this caused huge celebrations, because the seed of our home was officially planted in that world.
But he also knew that from now on you would only grow the population, so he would soon have to start building new city ships, or parts of the city over the ocean and being connected to Atlantis by a bridge.
I also received a message from scientists that they had improved the Stargate. This enhancement allows us to place more stargates in the solar system. This didn't work before because it wouldn't want to connect, but a new update made it possible.
And my last thought is of my fiancée Cyla, whom I got engaged to one day ago. And I can't believe my luck that I found this woman.
Cyla's voice brought me out of my thoughts: "What are you thinking?"
"About the future," I replied.
"That's good," she said, kissing. "Let's sleep," she said as we disconnected.
"Okay," I said, and we both fell asleep after a while.
