Once on the island, the trio was greeted by Luke O´Donohue a tall, broad shoulder, ginger with honey eyes and a kind smile on his face. He had been the one to called Owen to tell him about Blue and Delta, O´Donohue explained that he and Grady were in the same marine animal behavior research team for a few years when one of the pipes in the main lab exploded that resulted in a rush evacuation. Luke was near the lab when the pipe gave, so he was in the direct line of impact, Owen noticed him missing and went to find him and saved his life. I owned him not just my life, but the family I have now Luke told them looking directly at Barry and Claire. O´Donohue had met his wife Camille while his was in the hospital as she was the nurse assigned to his case and their son Owen had been born 2 years after their wedding.

L: Anything for Owen (he stated with determination and a hint of sadness in his voice) So as you know hurricane season is coming, but we were able to give false weather reports to InGen and the Navy informing them that a big category 4 was coming this week, that´s why they decided to pull all non-essential personal of the island, two weeks before schedule so that means that are only 10 of us taking care of things and making sure everything is up and running for their return in 3 months

B: Ok, what´s the plan? (sounding serious and a bit eager)

L: Well, every single person left on the island was handpicked by me, so everyone is willing to help. The idea is to use the tracking devices that each animal has and first see if there is a patron of movement and if there is wait them out for a few days, then sedated and have them ready for moving (explained the man with a serious and commanding voice unlike the one he had used before)

B: Ok that´s not a bad plan, but the batteries on the trackers must be dead by now, right? (asked the man with curiosity)

C: The batteries on the trackers are working, they are power by body heat and movement so….

Z: The dinosaur is the battery (completed the woman with amazement) Wow that was a great idea

C: Yeah it´s one of the best ideas that the engineers had and one of the best things I ever approved (said the woman with a hint of pride in her voice)

L: So, let's get to work (added the military man with determination)

The first thing they did was login into the park´s main computer system which was easy due to Claire´s old job and she had to do was put her right handprint on a scanner giving her access to most files (expect for Dr. Wu´s) and information. The first days of looking for the raptors proved to be a fruitless endeavor, because no matter how hard they tried to look for the tracking devices of the two raptors they weren´t working, so everyone assumed that the girls must have either clawed them out or in their fight against the Indominus the trackers had been severely damaged, so they no longer worked. Hence it was back to the "old ways" of looking for them on a small control room filled with screen monitors, but no matter how long or who was looking it was like Blue and Delta knew they were being watched and decided not to show their faces. Barry would often joke saying that the girls were just playing find and go seek just like they done with Owen and him so many times before.

During a particularly slow Monday morning Barry and Claire were watching the monitors waiting for one or both raptors to make an appearance and talking

C: Soooo, you and Zia seem close (said the Dearing woman with a teasing tone in her voice)

B: She´s an interesting woman (answered the man with a twinkle in his eyes)

C: Come on Barry you like her, and she likes you (said the Dearing woman with a knowing voice)

B: I thinks it´s a bit too early for that, but I´m not going to lie say I´m not happy she is here, because I´m (he said with asmile)

C: Well, I´m glad for you, love is an amazing feeling, but take it from someone who had to lose it to realized that and not wait too long (she said with unshed tears in her eyes)

B: Yeah, I know. I remembered I gave a similar advice to Owen. Me and Zara were sure you two were going to end together, we got especially excited after you agree to go out with him, but alas it didn´t work between you two, tough it gave me teasing material for weeks (he said with reminiscing in his eyes and humor in his voice)

Claire couldn't say anything, there were still too many unresolved feelings and a latent sadness whenever Owen Grady was mention, so she just looked at the screen monitors in front of her. Suddenly a passing shadow alert her, the Dearing woman squint her eyes and saw the shadow again, she kept her eyes glued to a screen located on the far left and sure enough the shadow transformed into a green with black lines dinosaur.

C: Delta (she said with relief)

B: What? Where is she? (he asked with confusion)

C: There, on the monitor on the far left (she answered without moving her eyes from the screen)

B: There you are girl (he said with a fondness and happiness that melted Claire´s heart) I wonder what she is doing all the way out there? (he asked more to himself than to Claire)

C: She is looking for Owen, I think (she added with eyes going from a map of the island on her laptop and the screen monitor still featuring Delta) If you look at the place she is right now and cross reference it with the map of the island, she is right on the valley where Owen´s bungalow was (she answered in her no-nonsense park runner tone that Barry hadn´t heard since the Indominus debacle)

B: That makes a lot of sense, if she is actually alone, she must be looking for her alpha and if she with Blue there must be a reason why there aren´t together right now, if I know anything about Blue is this she would never and I mean never let anyone especially Delta or Eco do anything as important as tracking Owen down, so Delta is either alone or Blue is so badly hurt she can´t do it herself (he commented also finding back to his raptor trainer tone)

C: Ok, so now that we have a location, we need to keep monitoring her and see if she either comes back to this valley or if she led us to another place or with some luck back to Blues as well (Claire said with determination)

A little after a week of watching Delta´s comings and goings, the group realized Delta was alone and couldn´t find any trace of Blue, but there were still holding hope for finding her and moral was high today, because in a few hours they would be in a way bringing Delta home, the group had been working on repairing some parts of the padlock that housed the raptors for Delta and Blue for a week and had finally completed their worked.

It was agreed that Barry and Zia would lead the rescue team and would be caring a tranquillizer gun and six darts containing five grams of carfentanyl, also accompanying them would be 6 military people who would be caring non-lethal weapons while Claire and the rest of the military personal would communicate with them via radios and would watch them on the monitors. It took them about two hours to get the deal done, at first the incredible eyesight, heightened sense of smell and ferocity of the raptor make everything a bit rocky as soon as she saw people Delta adopted a fight stance, with her back legs ready to pounce on their prey, but when Delta saw and heard Barry, she dropped her fight stance and just stood there staring at him, as to said took you long enough and then Zia used her tranquilizer gun on her.

Now the still sedated raptor was back on the nest she once had shared with her siters, Claire approached Delta quietly and just stood there watching her for a few minutes until she felt safe the animal wasn´t going to wake up and put her right hand on the cage and kept it there

B: You know when they were little and got sick or got hurt playing with each other, Owen would sing to them (the man reminiscent looking at the caged animal) he felt that it made them feel better, I honestly think the girls just got better to stop hearing him sing (he said with a smile on his face)

C: Sing? Really? What would he sing? (she asked curious)

B: Mostly music from the eighties and nineties, tough the guy was obsessed with Wham! (he said with a smile still on his face)

After Barry left Claire sat down outside the nest and began singing Wake me up before you go -go to Delta, after she didn´t reenter the building in the padlock, where Zia, Barry and Claire would be sleeping, the youngest of group went outside to find the Dearing woman sleep on the ground next an equally sleeping Delta so, she tried wake the woman up, first by shaking her, then calling her name and finally tapping on her shoulder, but since nothing worked Zia brought a blanket and a pillow and let Claire where she was.

It was a thunderstorm what managed to wake Claire Dearing up, for a moment she felt lost, she remembered falling asleep on the ground next to Delta´s cage, so why did the ground feel so soft? She finally opened her eyes and found herself back at her Penthouse on Isla Nublar.
