Author Notes- Hello again reader! Here is part 3 of the prologue, nothing to say for the start of the chapter so lets get on with the show!
Hikari and the future agent stepped out of the elevator as it opened, the agent took a quick glance around to see if any Monokumas were around but the coast looked clear. Just the area had a bit of smoke from the fire upstairs.
"Ok, stay close to me Miss Naegi". Said the agent as he raised his megaphone gun in front of him to be ready to shoot down any monokumas that get in their way. Hikari silently nodded, she was still shaken from seeing the horrible sight of the other future agents being killed by those creepy quickly made their way down the hall to get to the lobby reaching there they saw that there are two Monokumas near the front desk,one bear is facing the main entrance and another is facing another direction so they have not spotted them yet.
Hikari lets out a small whimper at seeing the bears,the agent aimed his gun at one of the Monokumas and fired a huge blue electric ball of light. It hits it's target and the bear gets completely destroyed, this causes the other Monokuma near the entrance to turn around and spot the agent and Hikari. It lets out a roar and charges forward at them, the agent simply just shoots another blue shot and destroys the robot.
Hikari stared in awe, " W-Wow!, that gun is amazing."She said in her mind.
The agent turned to her, " Let's hurry outside Miss Naegi before more show up." he says.
" Y-Yeah, ok." she said as she follows the agent to the main entrance, once they are outside they see that the area looks completely quiet and normal. Hikari looks at her surroundings in awe again, being that it is her first time setting foot onto the outside world in over a year and a half.
" Ok, the coast looks clear, let's get going to the meet up spot" the agent said as he walked down the steps.
Hikari stops looking around to look at him. " Um,ok, where is the meet up spot?" asked Hikari, walking down the steps to him.
"The meet up point is just four blocks down the street and around a corner from here," he said ``''It's a restaurant called Pig Boy, there's another agent on stand by there,after that we'll escort you to the safe zone" the agent says as he begins walking.
" Wait!," said Hikari" " Is it really ok to leave your boss back there?" as she jogs over to walk beside him.
"I really don't want to leave Mr. Togami behind but orders are orders, besides he has the Hacking Gun with him, as long as he has that he should be fine against those beasts." the agents saids.
" Hacking Gun?, you mean that megaphone thing?" Hikari asks while pointing at said gun the agent was holding.
" Yes, this gun was developed by Future Foundation, it shoots program codes with magnetic waves" he explains " its seems to work well against these Monokumas, but you should already know that from seeing us using it,"
" Yeah!,those things went down in one shot, it's amazing!" Hikari said.
They were getting close to the meet up spot.``Ok,we should make it to the restaurant in a minute,all we have to do is go around the corner and the restaurant should be across the stre-'' the agent tried to say but was cut off when hearing a loud explosion. They can see a huge cloud of smoke coming around the corner from their right and also the sound of people screaming.
" Huh!" Hikari said in a alarmed tone
" W-What,What the hell was that." the agent said in shock, but just before they could move suddenly an out of control car whipped around the corner on their right, it also had a Monokumas on top of the car and was headed straight toward them.
" LOOK OUT!." the agent yelled as he quickly grabbed Hikari and threw both of them out of the way of the car, dropping his Hacking Gun in the process. They both landed on the ground, then they heard a crash sound. The agent looked over at Hikari.
" Are you alright?" he slowly nodded, she could feel the side of leg hurting a little, probably a scrap but other than that she was ok. They next hear someone looked to the source of the voice and saw that the car that was gonna hit them had crashed into the side of a was someone inside the car and they were screaming in fright at the Monokuma who was still on top of the car.
" HELP! SOMEBODY HELP M-." the person's yelling plead was cut off when the Monokuma brought down it's clawd paw inside the car, and when it pulled it's paw back out it had blood on Monokuma began stabbing the person inside with it's paws repeatedly while laughing.
" T-That ….p-person is." Hikari try to said but was to horrified to finish
" Dammit!,those bastards are here too?" the agent said in stands up and looks at Hikari " Come on Miss Naegi, we need to get to the restaurant quickly before-" the agent started to say but stop talking when he sees a Monokuma running full speed toward him. The agent tried to reach for his gun but felt nothing on his hip. "WHAT? NO! WHERE'S-." he started to say but was cut off when the Monokuma leaped in the air and tackled the agent down to the ground.
"NO!" yelled Hikari as she stood up
The Monokuma tried to bring down it's clawed paw to slice the agent's face off but the agent quickly grabbed it's arm before it could get the chance.
"MISS NAEGI, GO! …..RUN TO ….THE RESTAURANT!." he yells as he grabs the bear's other arm and tries to push the bear off him but the Monomuka was too strong.
" B-BUT WHAT ABOUT-" Hikari tried to say but the agent cut her off
"DON'T WORRY ….ABOUT ME!, YOU HAVE TO ….GET TO SAFETY...HURRY PLEASE!" he screams as he begins to lose his strength against the killer bear.
Hikari looked around frantically to see if anyone was around to help them but found no one, but what did catch her eye was the agent's Hacking Gun a few feet away." The Gun!, I can still save him!" she says in her mind as she runs over to it. But just as soon as she picks up the Hacking gun she hears the agent scream. She turns around to see that the Monokuma was biting the agent's neck. The Monokuma pulled it's head back and ripped out the agent's throat, blood started to squirt out of his neck immediately.
Hikari stared at the sight in horror ,tears started to fill her eyes and rolled down her cheeks. Then she saw the Monokuma that was attacking the person in the car from an earlier hop down from the car. It's upper body was covered in blood, it looked at the other bear still eating the now dead agent and then it looked at Hikari. She let out a gasp and turned around and bolted to the end of the street corner.
When she gets there she quickly tries to locate the Pig Boy restaurant, she turns her head to her left and sees nothing but utter chaos. The streets were filled with screaming people and Monokumas, some people were trying to get away from the bears while others were not so fortunate and were being torn apart by the killer robot bears.
Hikari put a hand to her mouth" Oh my god!" she quietly said as she turned to her right and finally spotted the restaurant, it was across the street a few blocks down, " There it is!, yes!' she said in relief as she ran down across the street to the meet up spot, she ran up the stairs and pushed the doors open and went inside. Hikari breathing is heavy from running, she looks around the restaurant to find that there were people just sitting at tables or booths. They were all just chatting and eating their food like there was nothing wrong going on outside. " What the heck? Why is everyone here just acting like that there are no killer bears outside? Though Hikari in confusion.
" Excuse me little girl, are you ok?"
Hikari turns her head to look at the person who spoke to her, standing next to her was a young lady with black hair in a ponytail and glasses in a hostess uniform. She had a concerned look on her face.
" T-Theres...B-B-Be" Hikari struggled to get her words out.
" There's what?, what wrong sweetie? The Hostess asked her gently. Hikari gribbed the Hacking Gun in her arms tightly to her chest as she tried to speak again.
"B-B-BEAR ATTACK!" Hikari shouted at the top of her lungs, it caused the Hostess to step back in shock and the people in the restaurant to stop what they were doing to look at the shouting girl.
" Huh? Bear attack? What the heck are you talking abo- the Hostess tried to speak but was cut off
" THERE'S BEARS OUTSIDE KILLING PEOPLE!, YOU NEED TO CALL FOR HELP! Hikari yelled in a panic
"Hey! Come on kid, calm down! you're not making any sense! The hostess said , she could feel all of the customers looking at them. Hikari stomps her foot down in frustration
" WHAT DO YOU MEAN CALM DOWN?, DO YOU REALLY NOT KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON? PEOPLE FREAKING DYING OUT THERE! CALL THE COPS, THE ARMY, THE PARAMEDICS, ANIMAL CONTROL, JUST HURRY UP AND CALL SOMEBODY DAMMIT!" Hikari yelled in anger.
"OK! OK!, I WILL CALL SOMEONE!, JUST STOP YELLING!." the hostess shouts back. She walks away from Hikari to her desk, muttering under her breath saying that she does not get paid enough for this sees some of the servers have come over to see what is going on but she waves them away and tells them to just take care of the hostess picks a phone and begins to call someone.
As this goes on Hikari looks back at the doors in fright to see if any Monokumas show up, she can also hear some of the customers whisper things like " What hell is wrong with that kid?" " Where is that girl's parents?" " Is she wearing pajamas?" or " It's probably just a prank, ignore her."
" Hello? 911? , yes, I'm a worker here at the Pig Boy restaurant, There is this little girl here and she is freaking out, saying something about a bear atta-" before the hostess could finish talking, a Monokuma burst through the window next to her and tackled her to the ground.
Hikari turns arounds to see the hostess on the ground screaming as the bear begins to bite into her neck. Hikari screams in terror and runs to hide under a nearby table next to the desk. She could not see under the table cloth but could hear the sounds of windows being broken, the people in the restructant screaming in terror, bodies hitting the floor, and the awful laugh of the Monokumas. Hikari covers her mouth to keep her sobs from being heard," Please,someone help! She said in her mind.
Just then hears someone talking above her,
"EMERGENCY,RIOTS ARE BREAKING OUT ALL OVER TOWA CITY! FIND SHELTER IMMEDIATELY ! I REPEAT, FIND SHELTER! " the panicking voice sounded like a man talking on a tv.
" You say that but where can i go? Hikari says in thought, she can still hear people being attacked by the Monokumas. "If i go out there im dead meat, what do i do?."
She leans back against the wall behind her and brings her arms down to her side. She opens her eyes and turns to her right to see that her hand touched the Hacking Gun. She stares at it for a moment and then a sec later she makes a decision.
She reaches a hand up to her face and wipes her tears away, she grabs the gun and holds it tight in her hands. "Ok Kari, I know you're afraid, but if you want to live and see your family again you're gonna have to suck it up and fight for your life." she says to herself. She looked at the gun to see how to work it, there was a small black screen on the side of the gun. On the screen it said the words BREAK, " Is this the one that shoots the blue light blast?" asked Hikari in confusion " Well, only one way to find out."
Hikari took a deep breath and let it out, " Ok! time to send these bears to the junkyard!".She takes a moment to listen around her surroundings,the sounds of people screaming can no longer be heard anymore,but there are faint sounds, the Monokuma walking crawls forward and lefts up the table cloth a bit and peeks out. She can see the dead body of the hostess a few feet away from her, she gulps and continues to look front door had multiple bodies in front of it so going to the front would be difficult. She doesn't see any Monokuma near her so she crawls out from under the table and stands up.
The restaurant was a complete mess, nothing but blood, dead bodies, and broken tables and chairs everywhere. Hikari starts to walk quietly to the other side of the restaurant to find another way before she could get far, a Monokuma jumped out from a booth a few feet away and turned to look at her. She lets out a gasp and shakenly raises her Monokuma let out a roar and ran towards her.
" E-EAT THIS!" Hikari yells as she pulls the trigger, a big blue light shoots from the hits the Monokuma causing it to explode, destroying it. Hikari stares in shock and awe.
" I-I did it! I GOT IT!" she said in glee, but before she could praise herself more, three more Monokuma appeared down at the other end of the restaurant after they had heard the began to run toward her, Hikari glared at the bears and aimed her gun into their direction. " BREAK!" she yells as she fires off three shots hit all three Monokumas, destroying them.
Hikari jumps up in joy " YES", she said as she looks at the gun," Wow!, this gun rules!".
After her mini victory, she takes a quick glance around the restaurant, it looked like those monokumas were the only ones left. She sighs in relief, she also looked at the sad sight of the dead bodies all around the restaurant.
"Why? Why is this happening? Hikari asked, but no one was around to give her an answer.
" Hehehe."
"Huh? Hikari hears something that sounded like a giggle.
"Heh….hehehe"
" HEY!, WHO'S THERE?" Hikari asked as looked around for the voice,she walked around to follow the sound of the voice until she stopped at a tv hanging up above her.
The screen showed a place that looked like a news station, there was a man laying down on a desk, it looked like he was passed out but after seeing a pool of blood under him it most likely seemed he was sound of laughing continues until a little girl with long Lilac hair in a ponytail with her eyes matching the color of her hair appeared on screen,the girl skips over to the body with a smile on her face.
Suddenly, the man starts to sit man was indeed dead as his eyes were completely lifeless, but it seemed the body did not sit up on its own. Holding the dead body up were two young boys. One boy had short spiky red hair with blue eyes, he had on a pair of white headphones as other boy had a creepy looking gas mask over his face, it had short light brown hair.

" ROAR!, ROAR! HAHA I'M A ZOMBIE!" The red head boy said. He and the other boy turned the body to face it to the girl. " ROAR! ROAR!, I'M GONNA EAT YOU!"
" OH HEAVENS NO!,PLEASE DON'T EAT ME!" The girl said looking scared but her voice did not sound scared.
" H-hey Masaru…..are you sure that zombies say roar like that?" The masked boy asked the red haired boy called Masaru "C-cause I really don't think they sound like that, ya know?".
The one called Masaru turned to look at the masked boy in slight annoyance "Um who cares!, I told you dude that style is more important for this kind of thing !" he said rolling his eyes.
" O-Oh, ...ok then" the mask boy said.
They both went back to "playing zombie"with the lilac haired girl. They chased the girl around the table with the body, all three of them were looking like they were having the time of their lives playing with a toy and not a dead went off screen for a sec and then the girl is standing in front of the camera with a disapproving look.
" Nuh-uh, kiddy porn is a big no no!" She said.
Hikari just looked at the TV in utter confusion and disgust as the kids continued to play with the body. " What …...is this?, " They're acting like that body's a toy or something". Then suddenly an angry voice can be heard.
"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?" yelled a boy with short blue hair, he has two cowlicks that looked like cat ears. He stood in front of the news desk, scolding the three kids goofing off with the body.
" You guys have to be more serious, I already told you that this broadcast was important." the blue haired boy said " This is the Warriors of Hope keynote address".
The boy called Masaru just looked at the blue haired boy in annoyance, " Jeez, what are you so mad for." but then he had an evil grin on his face " Oh wait, I get it, you wanna play zombie too huh Nagisa?"
" Huh? No! I just said that-" the boy called Nagisa tried to protest but Masaru and the masked boy started to run around the table with the body to head toward him.
" HEY! WAIT, DON'T BRING IT OVER HERE" Nagisa yelled as he began to run away from the was shouting at them to stop repeatedly ,and for some reason the girl joined Nagisa in running away from them as well.
Once again, Hikari looks at the tv in utter confusion and disgust as the boy called Nagisa and the laughing girl run around the table to keep away from the other boys chasing them with the dead body.
" …." Hikari was lost for words.
Then the madness finally stops when Nagisa trips and falls onto the ground, the other kids stop moving and look down at him, then they look at each other and grins appear on their faces.
" DOGPILE!" the three of them yelled as they jumped on top of Nagisa.
"AH, STOP! GET OFF OF ME!" Nagisa shouts in anger,but the kids just only laugh at him.

Then suddenly, a new child showed up on screen, it was a girl with short green hair tied with a red ribbon and big green eyes. She had on a long black dress, it also looks like she was sitting in an electric wheelchair. The green haired girl looks at at the camera with a big smile on her face.
"Citizens of Towa City, nice to meet you!, we are the Warriors of Hope!" the green haired girl said.
As she said this, the other kids silently got up off the floor and stood off to the side to give the green haired some space to do her boy called Masaru chose to stand next to the girl,trying to look cool for the camera.
"We are the masters of Mr. Monokuma!" The green haired girl said."This town, this dirty,lame,worthless, sad, good for nothing town that is nothing more but a penal colony for filthy criminals!" " It is on this day that we have decided to build a paradise of children,for children,by children!." the girl said as she raised her arms up in glee.
" And what that means is that all you adults will no longer be needed!" she said
"Goodbyyyyyyyyyyye!" The green haired girl waves goodbye at the camera, then the tv goes out with the words saying "Please Stand By".
