The sound of speakers squeal throughout the camp and the announcements begin " good morning camper, today's activities include-" they continued to announce activities and what would be provided for breakfast and lunch. The gang was woken as soon as the ringing began
"That sure is loud" Fred says sleepily
"Guess we should go get some breakfast, so surprise shaggy and Scooby are already out the door" Velma said getting out of bed
Velma, Fred, Daphne all head over to the cafeteria once they enter the see it filled with kids and a separate table where Scooby and shaggy sit, the two looked sad surprisingly.
" guys what's the matter, and where's your food?" Daphne said
"Well apparently your not allowed to have seconds since apparently everyone needs to eat " shaggy said pouting
"Shaggy, -" Velma begins to lecture him but is stopped by Fred
" before we address whatever your on about, i think it's important to think about possible suspects"
Velma sighs " yeah your right from what i've been thinking the only person i believe is a reasonable suspect is the owners son"
"He seems like a pretty sketchy dude in Garry's story" said shaggy
"Yea he did say he was pretty passionate about taking over the camp" Daphne said
"Well that settles it we will speak with his son" Fred stated
After breakfast the gang asks around for where to find Fabian, they ask one of the custodian workers and they inform them that they can find him in a cabin outside of the camp. The gang drives outside the camp down a path in the forest and they see a large cabin that looks almost new sitting between trees. Fred goes up and knocks on the door, a long silence follows and once Fred raises his hand to knock again the door opens slowly. A man peeks out the door,
"Hello? Who are you" the man said
" uh we're here to ask you some questions about what happened over at the camp" Fred says nervously
The man opens the door and changes from mysterious to welcoming " oh my i wasn't expecting a visit from you guys, my name is Fabian Garry, come in"
They entered the house, the inside looked almost like a workshop, tools scattered and books seemed to be like decorations throughout the house.
"You can sit here, i apologize for the mess i wasn't expecting any visitors that weren't my dad "Fabian says nervously as he leads them to his messy living room
The gang sits down one the small couch, barely fitting all of them on with Scooby sitting on the floor.
"So Fabian can you explain your relationship with your dad, we heard that it may not be the best" Daphne says as they attempt to get comfortable in the small couch
"Right by the looks of it I'm sure you heard my dads side of things, well lets just say me and him have two very different expectations for the future of out family business" Fabian sighed and walked over to a chair covered in books, he then sits looking oddly very comfortable sitting there.
"My family has ran this park the same way for years, i just believe we could do so much more, i know this may sound a bit selfish but i hope this recent attack can get him to think about increasing some security"
"Hmm what do you want to change about the camp" Velma asks curiously
" i believe that since there are more camps available to more kids around town the more new camps the older our camp looks, it almost looks like it should be abandoned, i just want to give the place a modern touch by my dads stuck in the past"
"You seem like a handyman with all these tools around, what are you working on?" Fred asks "what are you working on?"
"Oh i've been trying to learn how to create different devices to use for security, none of them seem to work though so all they are now are failed ideas"
" can you tell us about what happened with you that day your dad says you had an argument" Velma asks and Fabian takes a second to think staring down at his scattered books on the floor,
"Well that day i felt as if my idea on improving the camp could really get to him since one my inventions seemed quite promising to me, i wanted to present the idea to him, i went down to the camp with my ideas and presented them to him, and to no surprise he strongly declined, after that all i did was head back to my cabin and work" Fabians story didn't quite sit well with Velma.
