Velma was curled over a laptop that she had brought with her, tucking herself on one of Bruce's desks in his room. She had on a massive set of noise canceling headphones, seeming to be busy typing away on some word program. Lost in her work and in the music between her ears.

As the percussion rocked in her head, she started to bob her head back and forth. Almost to the point of head banging, but just a touch before it. Since that much movement would make her headphones slide off. A balance of rocking out and keeping the melody going. But she would not be contained... As the beat thumped a unheard rhythm for her and her alone; hands coming up to slam down a sick beat, drumming in the air to the music. Stopping any typing progress as the song rode itself out.

"..."

This is how Bruce found his girlfriend. Caught off guard with her impromptu silent, air concert, and left staring captivated on what was happening before him.

And then just like that... the song must have hit the ending. Leaving Velma moving back to her uninspired typing, as if that had never happened. Plugging along at the keys, back to normal.

Pulling his phone out of his pocket, he quickly typed up a message of his own. And because of who he had sent it too, his reply came almost instantly. The little notification message, and tone popping up. Looking at the message, it was littered with crying face emojis and laughter. The other side of his conversation being amused at his question.

-Does Velma had a habit of rocking out to her music? Or is this just for me? -

-Nope, Hahahah, that is very much just a VELMA thing. The gang has caught her doing that as well on many occasions. She must be typing, isn't she? ~The Great Daphne-

Chuckling, he was a bit sad that it wasn't something just for him, but then again. It was probably something she felt comfortable enough, sitting in his bedroom... To do. Letting down her guard to almost head bang as she worked. Though part of him wondered if she even knew she was doing it in the first place. As she went back to typing, with no signs of what she had just done moments ago.

-Aw, but she is really cute drumming like that.-

-Oh, she was drumming with it? Sometimes she just busts out dancing in the chair. ~The Great Daphne-

'Oh? She dances? Oh man, I missed out.' Bruce though to himself. Though happy to get anything from her. Pity he didn't have it recorded to be able to re-watch when ever he wanted to. Or at least have taken some candid shots when she wasn't paying attention. He knew she hated her photos taken, but it was a smidgen bit more accepted when she didn't know she was going to be captured on film and was more natural. (Though not something she would outright admit.)

He continued to watch, taking in all the little gestures that she was doing. Occasionally bobbing her head, and humming along with an unheard song. But never long enough for him to be able to identify the melody, if he even would have known what she was listening too. They really never had gotten into that kind of a conversation yet... It just hadn't come up in normal conversation of what types of music she liked personally.

-Do you know what she is probably listening too?-

Bruce typed back, curious as the ever detective but didn't want to creep into her space to steal a listen or try to peer over her shoulder for a playlist. Less he interrupt her work. So, since he had already been poking Daphne on a text, he figured he would just ask her.

-What is she working on? Can you tell? Most of the time, what she is working on changes her playlist. ~The Great Daphne-

Leaning to one side, he squinted over the distance and tried to judge from that far about what she might have been writing. It wasn't a Waynetech file, he knew that much. The formatting was all wrong. It might have been a paper, or a letter to someone. It looked pretty standard for it's composition.

-Writing something to someone. It doesn't feel all that formal, but then again it's Velma. So, it has a neatness to it even if it was letter.-

-Oh, hm. True, it could be a range of things. I know she has a metal mix we discovered a while back. And some anime and video game openings, the weeb. ~The Great Daphne-

The comment made Bruce chuckle. Velma had that geeky charm to her. One that she made sure to assert her alpha nerd status against Tim and Dick in many of the video games they liked to play. Bruce wasn't all that much of a gamer, but he had a few he enjoyed enough. And loved to watch her play, getting all sucked up into. And it was amusing watching Tim get his butt kicked in a game he would often brag about being so good in. Though he was a good sport, and instead bugged her to play more with him, to try to get revenge against her.

A bunch of thumping came from ahead of him, making his head snap up to catch Velma in another round of drumming. This time she was stomping her foot against one of the chair legs as she burst into some more rounds of rocking out. Making Bruce wonder if she actually knew how to play the instrument or she was just jamming on an invisible drum set like one would with an air guitar.

Since his phone was already at hand, he quickly poked and swiped to bring up his phone's camera. Taking a sneaky step to close the gap, he wiggled the on screen zoom as fast as he could before spamming the photo button while it also simultaneously recorded her. Thankful that he had gigantic SD card, since now he had a subject to actually capture on his phone album. At least more often them just Tim or Dick doing something worth photographing. So, slowly his phone was being taken over by pictures of his girlfriend. Most of them she hasn't found out that he had been taking. Adding to the collection with glee.

And like before, she finished her 'set' and then went back to typing as if it never happened. But now he had the proof.

'Hm... which to choose.' He mentally talked to himself, as he flipped through the million and one shots he had spammed. And even though his phone was top of the line, he still had to pass over tons of blurry photos before he really was able to find a set of really good shots to be 'mean' and share with the rest of the gang.

He liked this particular one he had snagged, with the tip of her head snapping up to make her bangs go airborne and one hand was gearing up to slam down on the invisible cymbals. As her feet were slightly in blur with her foot peddle kicking and a grin peeking out from the corner of her mouth seen past the headphones as she rocked out. It was perfect. So, he selected that one and made sure to add the full format video as well. Making a group text to the rest of the gang, making sure to NOT include her in the mass text message, less he get found out early of his mischief.

Now all he had to do was... ~BEEP~

Not even able to finish his thought, Daphne had replied to the group message with tons of amused emojis and ROTF's. Obviously amused at the choice shot he got of his girlfriend, approved by her best friend as well.

-OMG That is the BEST Bruce! Got anymore stills? ~The Great Daphne-

-Many... As fast as my fingers could spam.- Bruce admitted in text form, a grin on his face.

-Wow, Like' Velma's really rocking out there. *The 'Other' Dynamic Duo*-

Came the comment from Shaggy, which amused Bruce in several ways. Not only did the man actually type out his own vocal tick, but the signature names that Daphne had added to each of the gangs massages had been once explained to Bruce. Especially in apology that he said wasn't needed. Since Shaggy and Scooby were indeed a dynamic duo, worthy of the title. So, he saw no reason for the guys to change it, on his account. Ignoring that he was Batman and part of the original Duo. The guys were not disrespecting the name, so it was more funny anyway. As Daphne put the title to the pair long before he had made moves to apologize and approach his girlfriend.
