The next day, everyone gathers at Team RWBY's apartment to discuss what Emerald and Mercury have found in Cinder's journal.
Nora: Cinder has a daughter?! That can't be right!
Pyrrha: Does her child even know about this?
Yang: Then why is she even working for that Subspace Army anyway? Shouldn't she be taking care of the kid?
Emerald: I'm just as shocked as you guys are, like it or not.
Weiss: What's her name?
Emerald: It says... Cindy.
Ruby: Cindy?
A few of the girls chuckle at that.
Mighty: Guess that's not surprising. First-born kid?
Emerald: Yep. Her only kid. And she's 2.
Sonic: So that's why she seemed desperate.
Ren: What do you mean?
Sonic: Well I had a rendezvous with her last night and we fought. It looked like she was desperate about something, but she didn't say a thing.
Knuckles: Do you think she's trying to protect her kid? Is that why she's joining working for that army?
Sonic: I'm sure of it. She's definitely being blackmailed.
Jaune: Does it say if she's been taken? Like if she's being held prisoner?
Emerald: No. She's safe for now, but it says if she fails, they'll take the girl. She already tried fighting back, but she couldn't win.
Ruby: If we can talk to her, we might be able to help her.
Neo: ...
Blake: I agree with Ruby. We need to let her know that we can save Cindy.
Yang: I agree too.
Weiss: Same here. Oh! Tails. How are you with those files?
Tails: I'm almost done. It should take me about an hour or two to get the rest.
Oscar: The next time we meet with Cinder, we should talk to her and convince her that we can help save her child.
Mercury: Let's hope she'll listen to us.
Pyrrha: I'm pretty sure she will. She may be a lot of things but she can listen to others okay.
Sonic, Mighty, Ruby, and Weiss head out to grab some lunch for everyone. As they head outside, Sonic notices someone looking familiar with lavender colored hair enter a store.
Sonic: Huh?
Ruby: What's wrong, Sonic?
Sonic: Umm... Nothing.
Weiss: Is it someone you recognize?
Sonic: I don't know. But let's just go.
They continue walking, but suddenly, Mighty sees a fireball approaching them.
Mighty: Look out!
He jumps in and deflects it with his shell.
Sonic: What was that?!
They see the desperate mother jump down from a street lamp and walking up to them.
Cinder: Hello everyone.
Ruby: Cinder!
Cinder: Just so you know, I'm not going to kill anyone. But I have a feeling a new friend of mine probably will. I'm sure you may recognize her, Sonic.
Sonic: Who are you talking about?
Cinder: She'll be here in a little bit. But in the meantime, I'll keep you guys occupied.
She summons two swords out of her flames. Ruby and Weiss ready their weapons.
Weiss: Cinder. Don't do this.
Cinder: I don't have a choice.
Cinder charges first at Ruby. Both of them swing their weapons at each other, and firing projectiles. Soon enough, they clash blades.
Ruby: We want to help you, Cinder!
Cinder: You can help by giving up what's not yours.
Ruby: That's not it at all! We know about Cindy!
She gasps.
Cinder: What are you talking about?
Sonic: Just listen to us.
She puts her blades down.
Cinder: What do you mean, Cindy?
Ruby: Your daughter, Cindy. We know about her. And we know that you tried fighting back against that Subspace Army but you failed.
Cinder: Where did you find out about this? This wasn't in the files, was it?
Mighty: No. Neo Politan snatched your journal from the base after grabbing those files.
Cinder: That was there?
Sonic: Listen, Cinder. Come with us. We can save your kid. We'll make sure they don't take her.
She holds onto her swords tightly for a little bit. But then, they both disappear. She lets out a sigh and walks up to them.
Cinder: I have to warn you right now. Their leader is very powerful. He's completely different from Salem. Keep that in mind.
Sonic: Right.
?: I did not expect you to change sides right away.
They look over and see a woman approaching.
?: But I'm still going to enjoy this one. Very soon, you will disappear from life, hedgehog.
The hedgehog and armadillo gasp.
Mighty: That's... You can't be serious! I thought she was gone! More importantly, what is she doing here in the real world?!
Weiss: What's going on? You know who that is?
Sonic: We do. We definitely do. That used to be the Pontifex of the Human Empire in the Underworld! That's the Administrator!
The two girls gasp.
Administrator: It's quite interesting to see you again like this, hedgehog.
Sonic: How is this happening? How are you here?
Administrator: My plan this entire time was to enter the real world. By making a sacred art to open a portal to this world, it was a dream come true.
Mighty: That was your plan?!
Administrator: And now the Subspace Army has accepted me. Our plans are already being set in motion. As for you, Cinder.
The villainess' hair stretches at Cinder and grabs her, squeezing her tight.
Administrator: You've turned down the deal we've made yesterday. You've failed to save your child.
Cinder: You're wrong. You're absolutely wrong! You really underestimated me! I may have lost to the army once but I won't lose again! I'm going to make sure you and the army do not get your hands on Cindy! I'll make sure you don't!
Administrator: That's quite unfortunate. Unfortunately, I'm even more powerful than anyone else here, so no regular sword can even touch me.
She squeezes her even tighter.
Cinder: Agh!
Ruby: Cinder!
Administrator: Discharge!
They try and approach her, but are hit with an umbra ball.
Administrator: Do you have any final words?
Cinder: Nngh! You won't win...
Administrator: Hmhm!
Sonic: No!
A boy in black runs on with two swords in hand.
Sonic: Huh?
?: HRAAAAAAAAGH!
His two swords glow bright blue, and he swings at the Administrator, making her release Cinder.
Cinder: What the...
Mighty: Is that...?
They all look at the boy with black hair, wearing a familiar black coat, and carrying the Elucidator and Dark Repulser in hand.
Administrator: It's very nice to see you again, irregular boy.
Kirito: Long time no see, Administrator.
