Note: the area of where Rambles home's made up, and no, it's not the same forest in the area with the Son Family in Xenoverse 2. Anyways, ONTO THE STORY.
Chapter 3
Conton City: age 853
Ramble woke up in a hospital bed, and wondered how the heck he got there.
Then it came to him: the sparring match he had.
He looked around and realized he was alone in the room. No sign of Racket.
He proceeded to get out of the bed, and though his body felt fine, good as new as a matter of fact, he still felt the fatigue from the scuffle that he and Racket had.
The hospitals didn't really have you sign out, unless you were taking treatment, going to a psychologist, ect. So, he could just jump out of the window, and no-one would give him a second look.
But first he would need to find Racket. He wanted to stay in touch with her, just in case he wanted a good sparring match or if he needed help with something.
He was about to go find her, when he realized there was a letter on the floor. He proceeded to pick it up.
He opened it up, and inside it was a scouter ID, and a note saying "Call me if you ever need me." It was signed by Racket.
"Well, that takes care of that." Ramble thought, as he inserted the ID into his scouter, that was left on the counter. "Welp, time to go home," he said, putting the letter into his pocket.
He then proceeded to jump out of the window (it was already dark!), and walked to the nearest Transport Shop Clerk. The Transport Shop Clerk asked "where would you like to go?", to which he typed in a specific location.
Lumber Forest: age 853
As the light cleared, Ramble saw his house. The house he grew up in. The house that had belonged to his father first.
As Ramble walked towards the house Ramble looked around, and admired the scenery surrounding him, as he always did. He could see to the right the clearing where his father trained him. He had great memories there. He remembered him and his dad laughing at how Ramble comically got his name. He remembered all the good times. When he thought he knew who he was.
Ramble turned his head away. Those memories of...him...were too painful to recall. He just wanted to get home and eat already.
As Ramble turned his head to his house, he saw a figure in the doorway, waiting for him.
"Um...who are you?" Ramble asked.
The figure was wearing the standard gear for human patrollers, and was about tall as Ramble. He had dark blue hair and purple eyes with irises in the middle.
"You're Ramble right?" The mysterious figure asked. "Gotta say, you are one tough guy to track down. Lumber Forest, huh? Never even heard of it"
"Well, this place was never that popular," Ramble stated. "I'm surprised you even found out about it's name."
"Let me just cut to the chase," the figure stated. "I'm gonna be your new partner, and just try not to mess up anything and everything."
"Uh...okay?" Ramble said. "What's your name, anyways? I can't just call you 'new partner'."
The figure rolled his eyes, replying "My name is Jason."
Jason then said, under his breath, "You better remember that, you dumb monkey."
Ramble cocked his head, trying to figure out what Jason had just said. He shrugged to himself. It wasn't that important. "Well, it was nice meeting you, Jason." Ramble said as he extended his hand.
"Sure." Jason replied as he passed Ramble without even giving him a second look.
Ramble looked back at him and sighed, watching him walk towards Conton City. He then turned around and walked to his fathers house.
As Ramble stepped onto the porch, he then pressed his hand against the roof, opening the small compartment where his keys to the house were. He then unlocked the door, and went inside as he closed the door behind him. As he locked the door, Ramble took a good look at the old place. It was outfitted with the essential technology, a TV, some air conditioning, lights, and stuff like that.
But it also had a fireplace for the winter, windows that let in fresh air, a nice couch made out of the finest silk.
He loved this house. Just as he had loved his father.
Ramble sighed. If father were still here...would he be proud of him?
Ramble decided to drop the question, as he walked into his kitchen to make dinner.
Since his father had only himself before he got Ramble, he learned how to cook things himself. He taught what he knew to Ramble, though Ramble wasn't exactly a 5-starred chef.
He settled on making Chicken (with soy sauce), Rice, and some broccoli, and with the dish in mind, Ramble set off to start cooking.
Some time later~
"Wow." Ramble thought to himself. "If I was put into a cooking competition, I would lose first round."
Ramble had overcooked the Chicken and didn't put enough water into the rice cooker (which cause the rice to be sorta dry), and he had overcooked the broccoli. This was what happened when he tried to cook himself, which is why he orders from restaurants most of the time. Unfortunately though, it was already 8:00 pm by the time he got home, so all of the restaurants were closed. The good ones, anyways.
Ramble checked the time on his scouter. 8:30. He could put in 1 more hour of training before he went to bed.
The next day~
Ramble woke up on the floor, still in his Time Patroller clothing. He decided he needed a change of clothes, so he got up and went to the closet and got a new set.
Just as he put on the new set, Ramble heard Chronoa asking for him, to which he approached his scouter and picked it up.
"Hello?" he asked. "What is it?"
"Ramble, we need you here now." she said. "There are multiple time anomalies happening and we need all the support we can get."
"Alright, I'm coming." Ramble said as he ran towards the Transport Shop Clerk, grabbing a bowl of cereal on the way.
Meanwhile, in an alternate timeline~
Things were going interestingly. He wondered how the Saiyan would react to all of this.
He then laughed. Doing all of this was always something all so very fun. He couldn't wait to see what comes out of this...
