Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Nomad the Hokage. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto and a few others do.

Niko could only ponder to himself what he was thinking. Talking to the Hokage? The one woman who could easily smash his face into dust? He couldn't fathom why he wanted to see her.

Then again? It was probably because he couldn't think of someone, he was more curious in. Niko was old, he knew very well that he wouldn't live forever… And that some secrets would forever be out of the scope of his knowledge.

"Perhaps she'll allow me an audience?" Niko asked as he continued to walk around the marketplace. "And if I can obtain that? I'll get some answers. Why would they think so much of an old man like me?" Niko questioned before realizing WHY they'd probably question that.

Anyone who got close to the hokage would RIGHTFULLY be seen as suspicious. Why would someone want to see their leader of the village unless they wished to do someone harm? It was something they couldn't fathom.

"Your preaching, old man." Niko heard which caused him to turn and look to one of the other street merchants. "The new hokage doesn't like talking to anyone at the moment. She just likes sitting in her tower handling whatever she deems to be worth it." Niko said and rolled his eyes

"Right… The new hokage doesn't care about her subjects or anything similar to that." Niko stated and shook his head. "I find that ridiculously hard to believe with all due respect, it's really stupid." Niko said while humming with amusement as he looked around the marketplace.

There was no response given to this. Niko chuckled to himself and brushed off his clothing. He would talk to the Hokage even if he had to schedule a day's worth of appointments. Then again? That'd probably get on her bad side when it came down to it.

Niko hummed before thinking to himself of how to think. Niko couldn't simply ask to ask to her, it wouldn't work when it came down to it.

"This is going to be crazy." Niko muttered to himself as he cracked his knuckles while cracked his knuckles.

(Several hours later)

Niko waited in front of the gate to wait to talk to the hokage. He cracked a smile while waiting for the guards to allow him in.

"Well, this is going to be interesting." Niko stated as he waited for the very guards to come. "Then again?" Niko said and closed his eyes before humming.

Niko sighed while he was told to go in. The guards could only stare at the insane man who wanted to speak to the Hokage. Niko supposed they had every reason to believe him insane. Every single day told him more about the Hokage.

"Time to go up the stairs." Niko said while he cracked while he looked up the stairs. "Oh, this will be crazy." Niko said before he started to climb up the stairs.

Niko felt every single one of them under his feet. Niko kept his eyes open so he could better see up the stairs.

"Oh, what to say, what to say?" Niko asked and tapped his fingers on his lips. "Maybe I could talk about how much I've learned over the years. I mean… I did bring something just that I knew they'd like." Niko said while bringing a hand over the covered sake.

The sake was something which he had brought out for a special occasion. Niko had slowly dragged it out of storage for such a date. It was going to be his ace in the hole for the Hokage to speak to him on these questions he had slowly brought up.

"I never thought that anyone would want to drink." Niko said while he cradled the drink in his hand. "Oh, who am I kidding. Every Kage wishes they have another drink. They'd always want to drink their sorrows away." Niko said and put the bottle under his arm.

Niko couldn't wait to talk to the Kage. Her perspective was probably going to be much different from the other Kage. He rather wanted to think of her experiences with the Kage.

He continued to walk up the stairs. He leaned on the wall once more while trying not to drop the bottle on the ground. He cursed and sighed while trying not to smash the bottle on the ground.

"So many Kage hate these stairs, don't they?" Niko questioned to himself more then anyone else. "Then again? Most shinobi would just jump up to the window. Seriously, who can walk up the stairs like this?" Niko asked while he sighed.

Niko shook his head and continued up the stairs once more. This night would be crazy as he looked up the stairs once more.

"Man, maybe I am just a very crazy old man." Niko muttered to himself as he climbed.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that next chapter will be 1500 words or such. Next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be delayed or such. Next chapter will also show Tsunade and Niko talking and start their bonding and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
