"Hello?"

"Hey, Quinn! Do you like coffee?"

"Yes, why?"

"Cool! I'll be there in 10 minutes." And with that Santana hung up.

Quinn was confused for a minute but then smiled. At the same time Santana congratulated herself for thinking about asking for Quinn's phone number.

And true to her words, ten minutes later, the bell of the bookstore where Quinn works rang and the door opened, letting Santana in with many coffees.

"Hi you. So, I hope you will like what I took for you. I didn't know what you liked so I took several to make sure I found something you like."

Santana put down the coffees and Quinn touched a little on the edge of the bag. Realizing that it was excessively big, she laughed before saying: "And how many is several?"

Santana looks sheepish before mumbling something.

"What was that?" Quinn teased her a little.

"Fifteen, or maybe twenty. I'm not sure anymore."

Santana is a little embarrassed. Maybe she went a little overboard. But leave her alone. She wanted to be sure that she found something Quinn liked to make her happy.

Quinn chuckled. "You are crazy."

"I wanted to make you a surprise, sue me."

"Well, you can consider me surprised." Said Quinn blushing a little.

Santana, proud of herself, begins to take out of the bag all the coffees. "I am like an addict of coffee, so, we're going to do test all of them and that way the next time I bring you something, I don't have to buy the entire store. Seriously, the waitress stared at me like I had killed her mother."

Quinn let out a loud laugh. "Ok, I am in. What do we have?"

"Well, we have iced latte, caffè Latte, Caramel Macchiato, Cold Brew Latte, Iced Mocha, black coffee without sugar -that's for me- Frappuccino Choco Chip -ew, anyway- and many other things but I forgot the names. I actually just told the waitress that I wanted everything coffee related on the menu."

"I think I am not going to sleep for one week."

"It's highly likely. Otherwise, I also took something for Romeo. Apparently, it's a chicken-flavored bone. I walked past a store that had lots of dog stuff, so I was like, why not."

Quinn doesn't know what to say for a minute. No one had ever cared for her or even her dog like that. The little things Santana does for her make her so happy.

Her smile just gets bigger and bigger when she said: "I think he would like that." She turns her head in the direction of her dog. "Do you want the treat?" He barked one time happily. "I think it means yes."

Santana laughed before giving the bone to Romeo. He takes it gently before getting between his mistress's legs to eat it.

"So, are you ready?" Quinn nodded so Santana took the first coffee before taking Quinn's hand and putting it on the cup.

Once Santana is sure she's holding it tight, she reluctantly pulls her hand away from hers.

Quinn takes a first sip before she grimaced a little. Santana laughs and Quinn sets the cup down.

"It's too strong for me."

"I think I understood. So, what grade do you give it?"

Quinn thinks a little before saying: "3 out of 10."

"Ok, next."

"Hold on. Don't you taste it? I thought we were doing the test together."

Santana looks at Quinn with a big smile before she accepts. She drinks some of the coffee. "Yes, I like it, 7 out of 10. Next one!"

Santana repeats the process and hands Quinn another coffee. She takes a first taste before stopping, and taking the time to think about it, then she takes a sip again.

"I like this one! I love caramel! 9 out of 10!" Quinn seems excited and she drinks another time.

"Hey! Let me taste it before you drink everything!" Santana laughed and took the coffee. "Oh! Ew. Way too sweet for me! But it's ok. 4 out of 10."

The two girls do it again with all the other coffees. And after a few laugh-filled minutes, they stop.

"So, if I understand correctly, the Caramel Macchiato is your favorite."

"God yes! That was delicious."

"Ok good to know for the next time."

Quinn blushed a little when she heard that there would be a next time. This prospect is very appealing. She enjoys spending time with Santana. She's her first friend and she doesn't want it to end.

"Santana?"

The Latina looks up at Quinn. "Yes?"

"What do you look like? I mean, usually I imagine people based on their voices and since I never see them again it does not matter if I get it wrong. But we have seen each other's several times and I would like to have an idea of your appearance. If that doesn't sound weird to you."

Santana looked at Quinn for a minute thinking about how she is so cute. "No, it's okay." The Latina described herself trying to put it in words Quinn could understand. She didn't know if the blonde knew the colors or anything, so she tried to do her best.

Quinn was silent for a moment before she smiled and spoke again.

"I think I can visualize it."

"But how do you know what the colors look like?"

"To be honest, I cannot see blue, red, or like green. I just know the sky is blue, the grass is green or things like that because it is common knowledge, but I have never seen it. On the other hand, I know what white and black are. I do not see absolutely nothing. I can tell the difference between light and black. I can tell if it is daytime or night or if I am in front of a lamp. For example, when you close your eyes you do not only see black. You see places brighter during the day and darker at night. It is the same for me but with open eyes. I do not know if I am understandable."

Santana tried to close her eyes to see what Quinn was talking about. "No, no I get it."

Santana thinks that now that she has asked one, it would be smart to ask all the questions she has.

"I have the impression that you still have things to ask me." Laughed Quinn.

Santana looks up in surprise, wondering if she can read minds too before asking all the questions.

"How do you recognize the money? How do you recognize what people give you when they buy books?"

"First, you have to learn to trust people. It is quite complicated to be blind if in addition you have to be wary of everything you will never do a thing. You may not notice it, but in many objects, there are plenty of elements that allow you to differentiate things. Look. Give me your hand."

Santana holds out her hand as she watches Quinn open the cash register. Quinn takes coins and slowly moves her hand in Santana's direction to find out where it is before the Latina takes the blonde's hand directly to help her.

"For example, the coins do not have the same size or the same face."

Quinn takes a coin and puts it in Santana's hand. She takes the index and middle finger of the Latina and places them on the coin.

"You can already see that the coin is quite small. And by feeling on top of it, you can notice a face different from another. So, I know that it is a dime."

Santana, who freeze observing how well Quinn's hand fits in hers, looks at the coin and indeed Quinn is right. Quinn then shows it with other coins and bills.

Santana therefore takes the opportunity to ask all the questions that come to her mind and Quinn answers each of them without considering Santana like an idiot. And yet she could have because Santana asked some stupid questions. But she was doing it genuinely and without any form of mockery, so it was ok.

Santana is impressed with Quinn. She does things so naturally and has always managed on her own without anyone's help. It is quite amazing.

Before they knew it, it was late. Santana brought the coffees around two o'clock and it was already getting dark.

"Wow, time really flies with you." Said Santana.

"Yes, I am going to close the bookstore." Quinn looks in the direction of Santana and blushing a little she says: "I spend a really good time. Thank you."

The Latina smiled. "You do not have to thank me. Trust me, it was my pleasure."

Quinn just seemed to blush even more.

Santana looked at her watch and saw how late it was. "God! I really have to go." But she didn't want to. She spent such a good time with Quinn. I am a simp thought Santana.

"Why?"

"I have a dinner with friends, and I need to get ready."

"So, go! Don't be late."

"But what if I don't want to leave you? What if I have other questions to ask?" Santana smiled cheekily.

"Santana!" Cried Quinn laughing.

"Okay! Okay I'm going" said Santana her hands up in the air. "Crazy woman". The Latina muttered laughing, knowing Quinn could hear her.

She threw a last look at the beautiful blonde who had her head in her direction but who couldn't actually see her before saying: "I'll call you."

As she walked away and heard Quinn whisper "I hope so", Santana walked out of the bookstore with a big smile on her face, happier than she had been in a long time.

¤Santana¤

I am late. But now people are used to it. I have to be at Mike's in 10 minutes, I'm home in 5, I'm going to get ready for, let's say 30 minutes, and then I take 10 minutes to get to his place. It's okay, I've done worse.

I must have been there 45 minutes ago when I knock on the door.

"Santana! We weren't expecting you anymore! What a pleasure that you are on time." Said Mike, joking, when he opened the door.

"Ah, ah, ah" I grumbled walking past him. "Kurt and you have such a good humor." I said sarcastically.

I will make the introductions. In the living room we find Mike, Tina, Kurt, Blaine, and finally Mercedes.

I met Mike on set for my music video. He was a dancer and we got on well. Since then, he has been the choreographer of all my concerts, music videos etc.

If you see Mike, you have to see Tina. His girlfriend who does not let go of him. She's nice but we don't get along better than that.

Then tic and tac. Kurt, my best friend and my stylist, and Blaine his boyfriend.

And finally, Mercedes, a singer with whom I did a featuring one day, and we immediately got along. She's totally a diva but she's super sweet.

"Hey guys. How is it going?"

"Hello chica. How come you're late?" Said Mercedes.

I sat on the couch when I said : "You know, just like always, I didn't know what to wear" I shrugged.

What? That's kind of true. I didn't know what to wear but that's not the whole truth. A big part of the truth is that I would rather stay with a pretty blonde that has been on my mind for days than be with them.

But I figured it wasn't super smart to tell them that.

After two hours of drinking and laughing, Mercedes looks at me and brings up the touchy subject.

"So, are you making progress with your songs? I've been waiting for a long time for you to show me something."

"If I had something to show you don't you think I would have done it already."

Mercedes laughed, thinking I was kidding before she saw my face. She stops laughing and looks at me in disbelief. "Not even a little demo? Not even an idea?"

"No, not even a demo, not even a fucking idea. Can we change the subject now please?"

Mercedes seems to have more to say but she does a smart choice and leaves me alone.

I know I'm a little susceptible. But all this is starting to worry me. Everyone puts pressure on me to do something, but I can't. I don't know why but I can't. I tried, but no. So, I don't want to talk about it. I feel like I am not in a particularly good place.

Although now someone has arrived in my life and it does me a lot of good. Without realizing it, I smile at the thought of Quinn. I met her by accident, but I immediately fell under her spell. I don't know why or how but I like that. It had never happened to me before.

She makes me happy. She is just. I don't know how to describe it.

She's so innocent, sweet and has a thousand reasons to complain but she doesn't. She is brave and so cute especially when she-

"SANTANA!"

"What?" I look up and notice that everyone is looking at me.

"We've been trying to get your attention for five minutes. What were you thinking about?"

"Nothing" I hurry to say. But my rush seems suspicious as I see little smirks on their faces.

"Santana has something to hide. Is she thinking of anyone?" Mike said joking but seeing me turn my head away they all burst out laughing.

"Oh my god! She is!"

"Who is it? Is it a certain blonde?"

I lift my head sharply, looking at Mercedes not believing what she just said. How can she know?

She laughed before saying: "I knew you were thinking about her. You miss her, it's normal. Santana you have to come to terms with the idea that even though Brittany cheated on you, you are meant to be together."

"What?! No!" I cried in disbelief. No! I was totally not thinking about her! Ew.

"It's okay Santana. We have nothing to be ashamed of. We understand you." Tina said with a voice that was supposed to be heartwarming but at the moment pisses me off more than anything else.

"Fuck you guys!" I screamed standing up. "Stop talking to me about fucking Brittany and leave me the fuck alone!"

I immediately take my coat and leave the apartment, slamming the door.

Okay, maybe I'm a little Drama Queen. But come on. They know that I don't like to talk about two things: Brittany and the fact that I can't write song anymore.

I sigh before deciding to walk home. Walking will do me good. I hear my phone ringing and therefore decide to look at it. I bet it's Kurt or Blaine. Kurt. Bingo.

Come on Santana, we're sorry. Come back.

Yeah, thank you but no.

When I open the door to my house, I take off my shoes while placing my keys on my table. I collapse on my bed looking at the ceiling.

Great, now what do I do?

I could try to write a song but I'm sure I won't do something good so it will piss me off even more.

I look at my phone in my hand when an idea strikes me, and a smile appears on my face. I look at the hour. Good it's not too late. I dial the number and after three rings: "Hello?"

"I have a question."

I hear her laugh at the other end of the phone and that's just makes me smile more.

"Well, I am all ears."

"How do you know it's me calling?"

Quinn chuckled a little before she answered. "My phone is in 'audio description' mode. So, when I get a message, Siri reads it to me, when I write a message, every time my finger goes over a letter, Siri tells me which letter it is and finally when I get a call I hear: incoming call, Santana. "

"Wow. But when you are around people, they can hear…"

I heard her laugh before she says: "I am just blind Tana, I do not live in another era. Headphones exist."

My god. I think I died and gone to heaven. "Tana?" I'm smiling so hard my cheeks are just hurting.

"What?" I think she said it without thinking because she don't understand what I'm saying but it just makes it cuter.

"You just called me 'Tana'."

"Oh. I am sorry."

"No! No. I like that. Usually when people call me that I don't like it but with you it's different. I like it." I hear nothing. "Are you blushing?" I said with the biggest smile ever.

She let out an embarrassed chuckle. "Maybe…"

I turn around and put myself on my stomach. "What are you doing tomorrow?"

"I am working in the bookstore, but other than that nothing. Why?"

"Would you like some company?"

"If it is yours, always."

I think I broke a smile record. I love it. She is revealing herself more and more and I like what I am discovering.

When the two girls hang up the phone shortly before falling asleep, the sun is rising.
