Chapter 3: Doomed
Freeze Frame Starts
"So let me give y'all a status update real quick. Y'all know me, Khalil Spears, A.K.A. New York City's favorite superhero ever known as Spider-Man. My whole life had changed when Nicky boy had gave me a chance to be the "ultimate" amazing me, but I also gotta school some new teen heroes like me. Fury put em' in Midtown with me. But let's explore the school usuals.
Khalil starts at the first table. "I call this table right here the "Silver Surfers". They cool, but they be distant." He moves over to the second table. "These dudes here be the "Hulks" because they like smashin' stuff." Khalil moves over to the last table. "I say that there's only one happy here where I don't gotta deal with-" As Khalil was about to say something, he sees Sam at his table with Harry and MJ.
"You've gotta be kidding me…."

"Check it, I made an exact mashed potato replica of Principal Coulson." Sam shows Khalil the potato sculpture, but Khalil shoves him into the hallway. "Whoa hey! What's your damage Web-Head?!" Sam retorts at Khalil. "What is you doin' at my table you little midget?! You should know that chocolate and peanut butter don't mix. Ya' get me?" Khalil responds back to him.
"I'm allergic to peanuts." Sam scowls at Khalil clearly irritated with him. "Bruh, y'all are cool in ya' own ways man, but we only gotta be together out in the field dawg. It's my time when we be in here." Khalil says pointing his thumb towards himself. "You know, words are coming out of your mouth, but I stopped caring, like, yesterday." Sam says with no care on his face.
"You just mad cause' Fury made me leader." Khalil says as he gets a little angry. "I am not mad, because there is no leader, but if there was, he wouldn't be a pajama-wearing webhead." Sam retorts back at Khalil. "I have a better idea. You can settle it in detention." The principal says as he grabs both of them into the detention room. They both sit down.
"And now this old man is joining the problem. This is starting to get on my nerves…" Khalil says as he rests both of his legs on the table and his arms behind his head. "Good job with the role play, you guys. That was perfect." Coulson says this which confuses Khalil, but when he looks behind him he sees Ava, Danny, and Luke.
"Oh, this is just a S.H.I.E.L.D. thing. Ain't nothin' too serious." Coulson presses a button on his desk. "Define "serious". All of the kids fall through their chairs as they start to scream but they land in chairs and end up in their suits. They all start dashing under the school to their first lesson. "This is pretty cool, bruh!" Spidey says. The ride stops and drops Spider-Man on top of the other boys, but White Tiger lands on her feet.
"Tada." Tiger says as she sees Spider-Man messing with Nova. "Move your webs." Nova says as Spidey is still on Nova's back trying to annoy him. "Aye Nova, I had this itch on my back that I couldn't reach, but that pointy thing on your helmet is really hittin' the spot, my boy." Spidey says as Nova starts to get mad. "Boys…" Tiger says embarrassingly.
She walks up to what looks like the bottom of water. "Where are we?" A man on the speaker then starts talking. "Attention all S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel. Prepare to surface." They start to rise from the water when Tiger gets excited. "The Hellicarrier! I love this job!" Tiger exclaims. Spidey gets off of Nova as he starts to fly in the air.
"I don't know what your problem is, webs, but if you wanna throw down, lets get it over with!" Nova starts to form blue energy on his hand until he is interrupted. "In a feisty mood? Outstanding. The Court is precisely where you'll train to focus that aggression." Nick Fury says on a screen on the wall. "You mean like b-ball court?" Spidey asks. "Court like you come here to be judged. Harshly." Fury corrects
"Ight' then, bring out the baddies, cause' they bout' to get the gavel. Heh, get it?" Spider-Man asks to see if they got the quip. But then several robots with guns rise up and Spidey looks startled for a second. "I think I just webbed my shorts." Spidey says. "I bet you I can take down more drones than you can." Nova says getting into Spider-Man's face. "That's a bet, my boy. First to ten booms is the winner."
Spidey puts his hand in Nova's face and pushes his head back so he can get a headstart, and he starts to swing away. "Hey, that's cheating!" Nova exclaims as he starts to fly towards the bots. As they continuously destroy the bots, White Tiger facepalms. "They are so stupid…" They both destroy ten robots each, showing that all of the bots are gone.
"In your face!" Nova yells at Spidey. "What?" Spidey says pretending he can't hear. "I said in your face!" Nova repeats to him. "Huh? What'd ya' say?" Spider-Man says still acting. "I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME!" Nova starts to get angry but someone stops them on screen. "Gentlemen. The object of this exercise was to cross the room without setting off any traps." Nick Fury says on screen
"My bad, Nick. I got distracted by a yellow-helmet loser." Spidey says making fun of Nova. "What are you talking abou-…. Wait a minute, I'm not a loser!" Spidey starts laughing. "That's what a loser would say." Spidey continues laughing, but stop after he sees Fury staring. "I was going to send you into the field today, but until you start working together, you're grounded." Tiger gets disappointed.
"That's not fair. It was dork one and dork two." Tiger gestures her thumb at Spider-Man and Nova. Spidey starts to smile as he is about to joke again. "Which number is he?" Spidey points his thumb at Nova as he starts to laugh a little, which makes Nova a little mad. "You're going to clean up your mess as a team." A drone comes up to the team with cleaning supplies. "I call ceiling!" Spidey says as he jumps up onto the ceiling with a broom.
15 minutes later, the team are almost done cleaning. "Be the best hero you can be. Work with professionals." I'm pushing a broom, thanks to you two." Tiger says looking at Spidey and Nova. "You mean Nova right?" Nova looks at Spidey with a angry look. "A tornado becomes a gentle breeze only as temperature cools down." The team looks confused at Iron Fist. "I don't even know what he just said." Spidey says.
"Yeah, he does that sometimes. Lets just finish, so we can prove what we got to Fury." Power Man says as Nova melts the metal with his powers. "Y'all be the newbies. I've been Spider-Man for a year bruh. I don't gotta prove nothin' to nobody." White Tiger then gets an idea. "That's it! Spider-Man you're a genius!" Spidey tilts his head in confusion. "What'd you say?" Tiger starts to blush under her mask.
"I mean, you gave me an idea." She walks over to the nearest computer. Spidey looks at the other boys as they all shrug their shoulders. They walk to the computer with Tiger. She starts looking at a list. "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Most Wanted. We bring in someone from this list-", "Instant respect." Power Man finishes. "Right. Let's make sure it's someone we can handle—ah. Lady Porcupine."
Spidey makes a bored face. "Yawn. Nova, you'll handle that for us? Bring a pack of bandages before you go." Spidey says as he pulls out a random bandage. "As if. I'm aiming higher… like "top of the list" high. Let's get him! Doctor Doom!" Nova says as he expects the team to agree with him.
Freeze Frame Starts
"Does this dummy really think that we bout' to attack Doctor Doom. I don't really pay attention, but ain't Doom some kind of king or somethin' like that? Even Sam gotta admit that's a stupid idea. Let's just sit back, and let logic do it's job."
Freeze Frame Ends
"Last one to Latveria licks Fury's eye patch!" Nova starts flying past several agents. "Aye Nova, you ever hear of "Impulsive control?" You should look it up when you have time." Spidey says as the boys start to follow him. 5 minutes later, the boys are on a ship. "Who knows how to fly this thing? I wanna conserve some energy for the beat down—Oh. Never mind. Found the autopilot." Nova says.

"I would do somethin' responsible here, but it would be kind of cool to fight Doctor Doom. Don't cuss me out y'all, just keep reading."

"I got this guys, don't worry bout' it." Spidey says with confidence. "We gonna just let him "get this?" Power Man says with doubt. "Depends. Are we a group of solo acts or just a group?" Iron Fist says wisely. "Turn off the testosterone. We are not going to fly to Latveria and attack Doctor Doom." White Tiger says sternly. "Your right. That would be TOTALLY stupid. Smack some sense into helmet boy here."
Spider-Man points his thumb at Nova. "Oh, finally, someone's using their head." White Tiger says as she walks in about to turn off the ship, but gets closed into it. The ship then starts to fly with a mad Tiger inside of it. "I hate you all." Spider-Man then walks next to Tiger. "No you don't." Spidey then pulls up his mask, showing that he is smiling.
10 minutes later, Iron Fist is on the ship trying to find music. Spider-Man then shows up on his screen. "You don't know what your doing, do you?" Spidey asks. "Nope, looking for tunes. Music soothes the savage teens." Iron fist says. "Uh… whatever.." Spidey moves on to Power Man who looks like he's… puking? "That's disgusting."
Spidey moves onto Tiger. "Hey Tige-….. is that homework? Disgusting…" Tiger rolls her eyes. "I'm going to finish my homework if I'm gonna be stuck fighting a bunch of goons." Spidey then sees Nova on his screen. "MJ. Glad you called. Detention? Ah, it was okay. Khalil was slobbering while he was sleeping." Nova says as he scowls at Spidey.
Iron Fist also shows up on his screen. "Latveria in three minutes." Spidey nods at him as he sees Nova doing something. "See you down there, for clean up." Nova flies out and the others have their ships separated. "Latveria looks pretty… lame.." Spidey complains. "What'd you expect to see?" Power Man asks. "Well, you know, like several goons guarding all around the island for no absolute reason."
"Do we have a plan?" Iron Fist asks. "I was just finna go up to the door and be like, "Free cupcakes." Everybody like cupcakes." Spidey says. "You're an idiot." Tiger says. The team then sees what looks like fireworks in the sky. "Yay, its Happy Doom's Day. Just kidding, I'll never celebrate that." Spider-Man says as Power Man looks concerned. "Those ain't fireworks."
It turns out that those are actually explosions in the air as Nova is destroying missiles in the sky. "Wahoo!" Nova continuously destroys the missiles. The team all look at Nova angrily knowing that he would do something stupid. Nova flies down to the ground as he starts getting tackled by Doom's robot guards.
"Trespassing of the sovereign ground of Latveria is punishable by—" The guard is interrupted Iron Fist destroying him. Spider-Man punches off two robot's heads, while Power Man rips one in half. White Tiger then comes out of cuts a robot in pieces with her claws. "Three days till retirement." The robot guard says as it is now destroyed.
The team walks up to Nova. "Taking on an army of robots by yourself? That was the smartest idea ever, my boy." Spider says sarcastically. His Spidey-Sense then goes off crazily. "My own sixth sense almost gave me a headache. That was the biggest Spidey-Sense I've ever had." He then looks up to see who they were looking for. "Oh..my..lord.." Spidey looks scared for a second.
"Look upon me and tremble, for my face is the last you will ever see. I am Doom." Spidey goes from scared to… "AWESOME! YOU LOOK SO MUCH COOLER IN PERSON BRUH!" White Tiger flicks him in the head as he starts to focus again. "Uh I mean, Doctor Doom, I presume? Heh, that rhyme wasn't even intentional." Spider-Man says. "Fury dares attack Doom on sovereign ground?"
Doctor Doom shoots a red beam at the team, but they all dodge. He shoots another one at Power Man which blasts him all the way to the nearby forest. "Oh no, we're "doomed." The team looks at Spidey in confusion. "Get it? Cause' we're fighting… never mind." Doom tries to punch Spider-Man into the ground, but he backflips away from him.
"Oh wow. You can shoot bolts. We're very impressed. But it would be even more impressive if you could surrender quietly." Spidey says with sarcasm. "You're not right in the head." Tiger says as they dodge another beam from Doom. "Team, run S.H.I.E.L.D. maneuver Dugan twelve." The three boys look at each other confused. Tiger starts groaning. "Two hit low, three hit high." Tiger says hoping they would understand now. "Oh." They said simultaneously.
"Why didn't you just say that? Don't make it more complicated bruh." Nova comes in from the air. "Incoming!" The other boys move out of his way. He tries shooting a beam at Doom at he blocks it. "There's no way that someone as stupid as YOU is gonna get the winning hit."
Spidey jumps into battle with him, shooting his webs at Doom. "Stupidest boys ever." White Tiger says as they see an explosion near them. "As a boy, I second that." Iron Fist says. The team then sees Doctor Doom knocked unconscious. "OH SHOOT! I ACTUALLY BEAT HIM!" Spider-Man exclaims pumping his fist in the air. "NO YOU DIDN'T, I DID!"
Nova retorts at Spidey. "Hey, what's that over there?" Spidey points to the sky. Nova and the team look up in the sky but see nothing. They all turn around to see Spider-Man in his ship with Doctor Doom covered in webs. "It's a bird, it's plane, it's a very heroic hero who's taken down S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most wanted criminal!" Spidey says as he flexes his muscles.
"HEY!" Nova flies up to Spidey's ship banging on the window. "Boo-hoo, he didn't get the Doom." Spidey laughs and flies away with the rest of the team. "Come on! Its not fair! Web-Head!" Nova flies after the team.
On the hellicarrier, Fury calls Agent Coulson to ask him a question. "Coulson, do you have any idea where our teenage heroes in training are?" Fury asks. "Sir, I'm in the middle of a crisis. The school's budget is a mess. I'm trimming the fat—no more doors on boy's bathroom stalls, rougher toilet paper. Hey, maybe S.H.I.E.L.D could donate—" Coulson is cut short.
"Good Godfrey, Coulson's gone native." Fury says as a certain web-slinger shows up with what looks like a statue covered with a brown tarp. "Its obvious that he ain't up for the School Administration pressure, while, yours truly is ready for anything the world throws at him."
Nova comes up and takes a figure away from him. "I caught him. It was me. Totally my idea to—" Spidey shoots a web at his mouth to keep him quiet. "Why didn't I do that before? And by the way, my webs are organic." Nova's eyes widen as he tries to get the web off his mouth.
"Where have you maniacs been?" Fury says with stern in his voice. "We've been preparing for the "advanced class," so here is an early birthday present. Unless your birthday already passed." Nick looks confused as Spidey is about to show him what is under the tarp. He walks to the tarp and grabs it. "You know him, you despise him, for I bring you…" Spidey yanks the tarp off the covered figure.
"Doctor Doom! Your welcome." Nick looks very angry as a vein is showing on his bald head. "You kids thought it was okay to bring the most dangerous man on the planet ONTO THE HELLICARRER?!" Fury yells as he pulls a gun out on Doom. "Talk about ungrateful. You wanted us to bring him dead?" Spider-Man hears Doctor Doom cackling a little.
"Fools. I'm not the real Doctor Doom. I'm a Mark 6 Hoberman chassis. And you brought me right onto the hellicarrier." Spidey looks confused after what he just said. "Is that nerd talk? I don't really speak nerd." The Doom copy rips the webs off of him. Several agents then start aiming their guns at Doom.

"I ain't gon' lie y'all, but I really thought that I was finna get a jetpack."

The Doom copy opens the center of his body as five more Dooms come out from biggest to smallest. The smallest Doom shoots a beam at Power Man but it barely affects him. "Doombots, scatter and destroy." One of the Doombots blow a hole in the bottom of the hellicarrier and jump down it. Nick and Spidey walk up to the hole as Spider-Man sees Nick getting very, VERY angry.
Spider-Man pretends to have a microphone in his hand. "So tell us Nicholas, how do you feel about Doombots invading the hellicarrier?" Spidey puts the "mic" in Fury's face, but he just slowly turns the teenager. Spidey starts putting his hands in the air. "Alright calm down buddy, I got this."
Nova comes up above the two aiming for the Doombot. "You mean I got this?" Spidey and Nova start to go after the Doombots. "Isn't "we" in their vocabularies? Guys, stick together!" White Tiger goes after them. Power Man and Iron Fist look at each other and then go after the other Doombots. "All units, converge on the Power Core. We're in it deep." Nick Fury says.
At the bottom of the hellicarrier, White Tiger is chasing a second smallest Doombot. "They're splitting up to do the most damage. We need to corral them." Nova is fighting the biggest Doombot. "I'm the fastest. I'll get 'em all if Bug-Breath doesn't blow it again."
Spidey is fighting the second biggest Doombot when he hears this. "Your blaming moi? You're the one who—", "Shut up!" Power Man and Iron Fist yell simultaneously. "You both started this!" Power Man yells as he trys to stomp on the smallest Doombot. "To be fair, we did go along.." Iron Fist admits.
"You know what, we're all to blame, mostly Nova, but don't worry bout' it. I've been at this the longest, I'll just—", Spidey's phone starts ringing. "Foreal, bruh… Hello?"
Phone Conversation Starts
MJ: Hey, Khalil. Any chance you're still with Sam?
Spider-Man: MJ, I am very much busy right now. -still dodging Doombot.-
MJ: I don't know what you have against Sam, but—
Spider-Man: Girl I just said that I'm busy! -hangs up phone-
Phone Conversation Ends
Spider-Man backflips away from the Doombot. White Tiger is still trying to catch her Doombot. She breaks one of it's hands, but it shoots a missile at one of the hellicarrier's engines. "They took out one of the engines. We're losing stability!" Fury is shooting at one of his Doombots.
"We're losing more than that. One of those Doombots is in the Fusion Reactor Chamber." The Doombot shoots at the reactor. "It won't matter if we keep her afloat. That thing hits the core…we're going nuclear." Spidey's eyes widen. "Oh dang. New York's going to be known as "The Big Apple Pie" if I don't do—wait, Nova, I have a plan!"
"I'm not taking orders from you." Nova says as he is flying away from his Doombot. "I'm not bout' to give you orders, bruh. We need to act like a team or the city goes splat. If you stabilize that broken engine—", "While you hog all the glory?" Nova interrupts.
"Will you shut up and listen?!" Nova looks surprised at this remark and listens. "You the only guy who can keep us airborne. Its called "working together." You should try it sometime." Spider-Man teases. Nova flies out of the hellicarrier and tries to keep it airborne from the bottom. "Aye y'all, I'm bout' to pull a smart one on ya'. I need me a Cyclone 24 Triple with a side of honey mustard."
This confuses the team. "You're just saying words!" White Tiger says. "Heh, I know, but I seriously have a plan foreal though. How close can you get to the reactor Tiger?" She walks to the nearest computer to see where the reactor is. "The reactor is in sector twelve, quad three. It's below us."
Spider-Man then figures out what the team will do next. " Tell us where should we meet, since you know where the reactor be at." Tiger logs off the computer, ready for the plan. "Follow my coordinates." Power Man and Iron Fist both destroy their Doombots as they group up with Spidey and Tiger.
"Ayo Fist, think you can get us down?" Spider-Man asks with a smile. Iron Fist smiles back as his fist starts to glow. "I'm not paying for it." He punches the hellicarrier down to the Fusion Reactor Chamber. They start falling down, but they all grab onto Spidey as he shoots a web onto a wall and starts swinging.
"Oh my god, I don't know who it is, but one of y'all need to stop eatin' for today, man." Spidey says as he lands them all on the ground. "Regards from Victor Von Doom." The biggest Doombot says as he aims his gun converted arm at the Power Core.
"I'm coming, guys!" Nova says as he flies into the reactor room and… flies in front of the beam that the Doombot was shooting. He couldn't take it anymore and fell to the ground. "NOVA!" Spider-Man exclaims as he webs up Doctor Doom. Tiger cuts him off the web, has Power Man pick him up, and has Iron Fist punch him with his glowing fist of iron.
The Doombot's head was the only part of him left, and Spidey crushes it with his foot. He then walks up to Nova. "You absorbed the energy? I ain't know you could do that." Nova lifts his head up. "Neither did I." The team walks up to the two and they all sit down. Spider-Man's phone starts ringing again.
Phone Conversation Starts
Spider-Man: Hello?
MJ: Khalil Spears, do not hang up on me.
Spider-Man: Girl you better watch it. Don't be sayin' my government name like that.
MJ:-sighs- Just let me talk to Sam. I have his homework.
Spider-Man tosses his phone to Sam and lays down.
Phone Conversation Ends
The team stand up immediately when they see Fury walk up to them angrily. "IF YOU EVER PULL A STUNT LIKE THAT AGAIN, I WILL PERSONALLY—", "We're sorry Nicky boy… Does that help?" Spider-Man interrupts. "No. Whoever started all this, step forward. You're off the team." Nick Fury says menacingly.
Freeze Frame Starts
"Oh well, I guess that's my cue. I really did screw up pretty bad today."
Freeze Frame Ends
"Yeah whatever, it was me." Spider-Man walks up, but the others walk up as well. "No, it was us." Power Man says.
Freeze Frames Starts
"Aw, they really do care. I think I'm gonna cry."
Freeze Frame Ends
Fury looks at all of them. "Never again…team." He walks away, and then Coulson walks up to them. "Well, well, it looks like its time to make up all the school work you missed today." The teenagers all start groaning, except for Tiger. "I did my homework."
Coulson walks up to Fury. "Director Fury, I need the full power of S.H.I.E.L.D's legal team, stat. We need to limit how much actual meat you need to legally call something "meatloaf." We can save the budget, man!" Fury looks concerned for Coulson. "Coulson, we need to talk priorities."
"Ight' then, that was a raw mission if I do say so myself." Then the real version of someone they were just fighting shows up on a screen behind them. "Children. Let it be known that the eye of the all-powerful Doom has fallen upon you this day. I have scanned your every strength, every weakness. Cross my path again, and suffer unspeakable consequences." Doctor Doom signs off the screen.
"Aye bruh, you good? You looked scared." Spider-Man teases at Power Man. "That's just cause' I was." Nova then widens his eyes. "We're just gonna let him punk us like that? To the transport!" Nova flies away to the ships. Spidey smiles at the team. "Lets get that boy y'all." They nod in agreement and start running after him. "NOVA!" They all yell simultaneously.

"Hold up y'all, we gotta catch this clown real quick. See ya' on Chapter 4!"
