Little Red Riding Hood - Sam The Sham and The Pharaohs
Gretchen's apartment was small but cozy. Wine bottles now serving as candle holders, a whole bookshelf jammed packed with vinyl records, and a print of Starry Night hanging on the living room wall. It was packed with little odds and ends she had picked up over the last year from flea markets and yard sales, yet wasn't cluttered or messy. Both Eddie and herself barley made it up the narrow creaking stairwell as they continued making out, mouths frantically devouring each other, moaning and groaning in between kisses, as they continued upward, stumbling, and slamming each other against the wall and railing like a ball from that video game Pong. By the time they got inside, Gretchen nearly dropped her apartment keys twice in the process, they slammed the door behind themselves, nearly spilling inside the apartment. At this rate, Eddie had had enough enough, and ripped the knot down from Gretchen's checker print blouse, ripping the material, before she laughed, running her hands through his long wild brown hair, before both continued undressing each other, working their way towards the bedroom. Gretchen's hands had found Eddie's belt, and Eddie's hands had found Gretchen's breasts. A short time later as Eddie laid there, sweating, and grunting, feeling Gretchen's hands grip his arching shoulders on his tanned back, he turned his head to the side, fighting back the overcoming urge to transform. His fangs only sprouted for a moment, as his eyes flashed a dangerous animal color before he willed it to retreat, and return back to his normal shade of dark brown.
Later...
Eddie and Gretchen laid in each other's arms, tangled underneath the sheets, exhausted and spent from tonight's earlier activities. Gretchen laid her head on Eddie's chest, as Eddie laid there with one arm tucked underneath his head, and the other softly stroking her back. Finally, Gretchen lifted her head, and turned towards him smiling. Eddie smiled back.
"What is it?"
Gretchen leaned forward, before reaching and gently touching his face, closely examining his eyes. Smirking, she let out a soft little laugh before shaking her head.
"Just what I thought..."
"What?"
"Earlier, a car must have passed by and it's headlights made your eyes look...funny."
"Funny?"
Gretchen laughed.
"Only for a second, but I could have sworn they were green."
"Green?"
"Yeah, just for a second...must have been the light like I said."
Eddie smiled, still rubbing her back.
"Yeah must have..."
Gretchen's face became serious for just a second, staring at him.
"I want you to know you're the third man I've ever been with Eddie."
Eddie raised an eyebrow, but before he could speak, Gretchen sighed, staring down at his chest for a second before nodding.
"I just don't want you to think..."
Before she could say another word, Eddie gently took his hand, and lifted her chin, forcing her to look up at him. Smiling, Eddie leaned forward, and gently both of their mouths continued to open and close against each other, all the meanwhile deep inside Eddie's mind he kept thinking secretly...
"I found her. She's the one. I found my mate..."
The next morning...
Eddie and Gretchen both stood beneath the steaming hot water which poured from the overhead showerhead. Eddie stared at her transfixed, before stepping in close, nuzzling her neck. Gretchen could faintly feel the scratchiness from his 5o'clock shadow which appeared much darker this morning, when he had woken her up by climbing on top of her, causing her to break up giggling, as he smiled, tickling her sides, and making low noises like a dog, before gently pinning her wrists down by each side of her, before staring down, his long brown hair pooling down around her, before he leaned down, and began to devour her mouth again. For the next hour Gretchen experienced a total of three mind blowing orgasms, each which shook her to her core, causing her to cry out each time, clutching the sheets beneath her, as she squirmed, and twisted and turned. By the time both had finished, both slick with sweat, and exhausted, she mentioned the shower. He had followed her in, and now both were standing beneath the hot water, steam rising around them as Eddie began kissing her skin, slowly traveling down to her breasts. Smiling, Gretchen tilted her head back, truly enjoying every single touch. It seemed as if Eddie and her were in sync.
He was a total stranger to her, besides coming to her rescue last night at the bar. Usually Gretchen valued herself as being independent, always ready to fight for herself whenever men got fresh with her. Still, last night had been a nice change of pace, and something about Eddie's eyes made her feel as if she had fallen into some strange spell, one of which she still hadn't awoke from, and in all honestly didn't want to. She had never done this before, but for some strange reason it felt right, as if fate caused Eddie to walk into work last night for a reason. Feeling something press against her inner thigh, she smiled, loosely putting her arms around him, and drawing him in close for a kiss.
Later...
Eddie and Gretchen both stood now dressed in front of her bathroom mirror. Both were laughing as Gretchen used the blow dryer on both of them, playfully aiming it at Eddie, as he grabbed her by the waist, lifting her off the ground causing her to crack up completely. While pinning up her hair, Gretchen looked at Eddie and smiled, reaching down touching his long soft hair.
"You should let me trim it. You have such beautiful hair."
Eddie raised an eyebrow staring at her, before Gretchen laughed, reaching under the sink for her bag where she kept her scissors, straight edge razor, and comb.
"Come on, let me just trim the ends and clean it up for you! I've been dying to practice on somebody!"
Eddie sighed shaking his head still smiling, his cranberry work shirt back on, and open. She had noticed what appeared to be a faded tattoo by his shoulder, which resembled animal teeth marks. Her hands had run over it several times, but she hadn't really gotten a chance to look at it. Now with his shirt on it was completely out of sight. He had his jeans back on, and his hair resembled a lion's mane around his tanned face. He rubbed his stubble covered chin, before nodding, leaving Gretchen to jump up and down with excitement.
Later...
Eddie sat shirtless with a towel draped over him in just his jeans sitting on a stool on the tiny balcony that was attached to Gretchen's apartment. It was already starting to look like an absolute beautiful day. Off in the distance seagulls cried, circling around, while Gretchen stood behind Eddie, carefully cleaning up his split ends, and trying to tame down his long crazy hair. Eddie smiled the entire time, listening to her work, and engaging in anything she asked. He had mentioned that for extra money he found jobs as a dishwasher in different restaurants in the city, and that he had an older sister Marsha, who was a little strange, but believed in natural energy, healing crystals, and all that bullshit as he claimed. He explained she wasn't exactly easy to get along with, but he couldn't really blame her since she was the one who had to raise them after their parents died. He told her a little bit about TC, and how Marsha constantly worried about him, while he himself, the middle child had always done his own thing. Gretchen told him a little more about herself, how she loved dancing, and knew how to roller skate better than anyone she knew. She even got him to laugh a few times, and by the time she was brushing off the tiny little hairs that had fallen on his shoulders, the morning sun was up, and making it nice and warm outside. She brought him inside and back to the bathroom to take a look at what she did. She had kept his hair nearly the exact same length, but had used her straight edge razor to give the sides a slightly choppy look. Smiling, he admired it, before turning around and staring down deeply into her eyes.
"This was the first time somebody has given me a haircut in Jesus...more than fifteen years."
"You like?" Eddie pulled her closer, breathing down heavy before nodding.
"I like."
With that they began to kiss again.
Later...
Eddie and Gretchen had ended up spending the remainder of the morning back in bed, completely unable to help themselves. Afterwards, they dressed again, and after looking at the time, Gretchen asked if he wouldn't mind dropping her off at work. Now, he sat on his bike as she climbed off, looking pretty in jeans and a black T-shirt. He saw the lot already had a few cars in it, most likely belonging to the drunk regulars.
"Want me to keep you company?"
Gretchen laughed, before leaning over and kissing him. Her lipstick much like her perfume tasted like cherries. Standing straight up, she wrinkled her nose.
"Better not, you'll distract me. I do have the rest of the weekend off. If you aren't doing anything..."
"You wanna head up North with me?"
Gretchen looked surprised.
"Really?"
"Sure, pack light and we can spend the weekend up at my cabin."
"Won't your family mind?"
Shaking his head, Eddie smiled.
"They have guests all the time up there. It's really beautiful and I would love you to see it."
Thinking for a second, Gretchen's boots crunched beneath her in the gravel lot, before she nodded.
"I would love to. I get out around five, that okay?"
"Sure, I'll be here to pick you up, we can spring by your place real quick and hop on the highway."
"Sounds good."
Leaning down again, Gretchen gently tugged on his shirt, bringing his face towards hers and giving him a deep wet kiss. When it broke, both were breathing heavy again.
"I'll see you then."
Letting him go, she turned and began walking towards the bar. Eddie licked his lips, tasting cherries and watched until she walked inside. Breathing deeply, he could feel the tingling of the change starting to wash over him. Smirking, he blinked his eyes, knowing they were probably flashing green, before kick starting his bike, and peeling out of the lot, sending tiny pieces of gravel flying out behind him.
Later...
It was a little before six, and the sky had taken on a very pretty mixture of blue, and gold from the sun. Eddie rode his bike with Gretchen sitting behind him, her arms tightly wrapped around his waist, as his hair flew back causing her to laugh and nuzzle up against his back. It was a perfect evening, and Eddie honestly couldn't wait to bring her up North. He knew the others, mostly the doc and TC would love her. Marsha on the other hand he wasn't so sure. Still, he didn't care. He had finally found somebody that felt real. She was a real person just like him, and everything for now on would be different. Truly feeling happy for the first time in years, Eddie smiled picking up the speed, laughing knowing he had finally found her.
His mate.
