This takes place after A Tangled Gathering.

Hiccup and the other riders could see the festivities from the sky and hear the horn, indicating their arrival. The chief braced for the worst as he and his group. Went in for a landing. Part of him wasn't sure to be here.

A crowd gathered as they saw the various dragons. The members of nobility from the last Grand Kingdom Meeting were wary as they noted the different features. Some had assumed all dragons looked the same, given what they studied. The rest took notice of anything useful.

They all remembered the sleek, black form of Toothless at the front. Behind the dragon were more of various and deadlier forms. Two were large and bulky with dull spikes all over it, though one was orange and the other green. There was another of similar features, only more oblong in shape. One was blue and birdlike, with long, sharp spikes everywhere. One he for wings with an owl-like face, only in reptilian form. And lastly, one was a yellow and black dragon with a spiny look and three tails curled together.

Nobody made a move. Some Highlanders made a slow reach for their weapons. Others commented silently.

"Mitchy me."

"They really do exist."

Everyone nearly jumped as a voice broke the silence.

"Hiccup!" Rapunzel cried out, running towards the chief and giving him a big hug.

"Rapunzel," Hiccup replied warmly. He returned the hug as some of his friends stared.

"This is my old friend, Rapunzel. The one I mentioned," Hiccup explained as the hug ended. The others walked forward and exchanged greetings. One of the Vikings rushed forward and gave the small princess a bear hug, swinging her around as one of the woman Vikings chuckled. Seeing the display, a handful of the royals approached the Viking chief while their guards followed. Well, the ones who didn't leave the tent of sophistication. There those unfamiliar with the dragon and were therefore cautious.

"This is not what I signed up for," a guard whispered to the other, who nodded but did their job. The shakily walked over, wishing they had brought more shields.

One by one, the nobles came over to greet the Vikings and dragons. Some were more concerned than others, wondering if they were making the right call. Then again, this time, there was more than one dragon. And each of them was not the same as Toothless. So at the very least, they needed to know what was further north though most stayed a distance.

It was then Queen Elsa, one of the few along with Rapunzel, who decided to greet the man. After all, how bad could it be to say hello? That answer came quickly as some of the previously mention feelings slithered into her mind as she walked.

"Chief Haddock," Elsa greeted neutrally.

"Queen Elsa," Hiccup replied.

As everyone got ready, the ice queen took a moment to look at the chief, which brought up past events and residual hesitance. She quickly buried those thoughts as she would do her best to make peace.

"I see you are doing well. I hope the flight was alright," Elsa said with a polite face.

"It was alright. Everyone was excited to visit so, the dragons flew faster."

"I see..." The queen said in a neutral tone

There was an awkwardness in the air between the two. It went unnoticed by most as everyone greeted themselves. Fortunately, this wasn't long as Toothless walked over to Rapunzel, who gave a low squee before hugging the dragon and gaining the crowd's attention.

"Hi, Toothless. Did you think I'd forget to greet you?" Rapunzel said as she petted the dragon.

Toothless made a happy sound at that act as the crowd was now watching the tiny princess essentially tame a dragon with belly rubs. It was hilarious to watch, though no one laughed. Not even the Vikings thought differently as the sight. This had Valka, one of the riders, walk up to the princess.

"I've never seen a princess walk up and give a dragon a belly rub or a hug," Valka said with a laugh.

"I can't help it if Toothless is adorable," Rapunzel said as she let go. "Valka, right? Hiccup's mom? He talked a bit about you."

"You guessed correctly, dearie."

As the two got to know one another, Toothless got up and walked to Hiccup. He looked at Elsa, cooing understandably as he tried to lessen the tension more.

Elsa said nothing but smiled as she petted the dragon. She couldn't deny Toothless had such character that she couldn't ignore him. Besides, even she thought he was cute, in an unusual sort of way. She stopped after a few seconds before walking away, but not before noticing Hiccup's surprised face.

"What?" The ice queen asked.

"Nothing, I just didn't think you'd greet Toothless," Hiccup replied.

"Well, maybe because he knows how to act," Elsa said before walking away.

Hiccup raised a brow as he watched the ice queen return to her sister, who waved hello to the chief.

Though after Elsa left, the Celtic royalty came to greet the Vikings. King Fergus stared at the dragons, doing his best to make sure no one saw through his facade of stoic sturdiness.

Toothless merely stayed in place, looking curious as the locals appeared.

"Hold on now! This is the chief?" Lord Dingwall asked.

"This is Chief Haddock of the Hooligan clan of Berk," Queen Elinor introduced.

"Hold on now," Lord Macintosh said, interrupting the greeting. "Are you saying this wee lad is the chief we've been hearing about?"

"Yes."

Soon the Highlanders erupted into laughter, unable to comprehend the idea of Hiccup being a Viking, let alone a chief. This had some nobles join in for the fun of it as others remained quiet. The Vikings, insulted by this, started to arm themselves, but the loud voice of King Fergus shut everyone up.

"Shut it!" the Celtic king yelled. "If anyone has complaints about Chief Haddock here, let me know, and I'll gladly pick up any slack for him in a fight!"

Everyone immediately stopped laughing. Even the dragons backed away. While the clans would argue and have a good fight, in the end, the Highlanders respected their chosen king. This also got the respect of the Vikings, who now sheathed their weapons, or in another rider's, Astrid's, case, propped her axe on her shoulder.

Astrid thought things would be more hectic but was glad the king defended Hiccup. Though that didn't mean she wasn't annoyed by the men's laughter.

Something tells me I'll be burying my axe, one way or another. She thought in disgust before looking at her chief. Sure, Hiccup might not be a traditional Viking, but he is a good chief and did his best for the clan.

And she wasn't the only one. One of the larger Vikings patted his mace prophetic he had on. Four of the others looked around to see how many they could take on as one of the women held a calculating but neutral face. The last one, a full armored woman, said nothing but held back any expression as she glanced at the Celts.

Hiccup, on the other hand, just wanted to change the subject.

"Well, now, since we've gotten everything out, why I don't introduce my company, some of which are also chiefs," Hiccup said, making everyone quiet down.

Chiefs? Merida thought as the Viking chief began introductions.

"Right, let me introduce you to everyone. With me are the top Dragon Riders of Berk: Astrid, Fishlegs, and Eret, my mother, Valka, and Berk's blacksmith, Gobber. The chief and chief Tess/king and queen of the Berserker tribe and Defenders of the Wing, Dagur the Deranged and Queen Mala. Alvin the Treacherous, Chief of the Outcasts and Atali, leader of the Wingmaidens."

Everyone stared at the Vikings. They were studying the leaders, with some wondering why one was a queen. Merida was quite surprised with the turnout, as did her folks. It was expected to have Chief Haddock come and maybe a few friends, but to meet the chiefs of his ally tribes was much more than expected. Some had hidden when they spotted the larger Vikings. An idiotic tactic, but nonetheless, they were frightened of them.

Still, they were guests here.

"Welcome to DunBroch," Queen Elinor said in a regal tone as she greeted her guests.

One by one, the leaders greeted and introduced themselves. Though Dagur and Mala got some looks from the nobles who recognized the name, Berserker. Many would not forget the invasion from the Grand Kingdom Meeting nor of Khan's trickery. And because most were unsure, or untrusting, of the Vikings status in the order of things, they were not likely to say anything to the couple...yet. Alvin seemed to be seen as a regular Viking man, large and dangerous, especially with his title, Alvin the Treacherous. Atali looked around and noticed more amorous looks from the crowds, though some were curious about the "shield" on her back. She knew what some of these men might intend and stepped closer to Astrid, who was getting some flirty looks as well.

Elsa watched from afar as the people greeted each other. She took note of Merida, who had a somewhat nervous expression on her face. It seemed she wasn't the only one anxious about the events. However, the queen decided to wait and see before making any decisions.

Soon, the Celtic royalty began chatting about anything. Things were tense, and a good topic was one of the most excellent distractions.

"So, how goes the war? I know you didn't have to come all way in the middle of a fight," King Fergus said with a bead of sweat running down his head. That was not the best thing to ask.

"It's been calm. And that's what concerns me," Hiccup replied. " we figured Drago and his armies might pull something, so we came for also your safety and concern of any trickery."

Fergus, Elinor, and Merida were touched. Despite the atmosphere, they appreciated the Viking's concern. The king was about to comment but was interrupted by Chief Dagur suddenly.

"But those fake Berserkers are gonna pay!" Dagur yelled, slamming his fist. "They took my people's attire and symbol and USED IT for their goals! I am gonna PERSONALLY make sure they pay for using us like that."

The chief was infuriated, and rightly so. After Hiccup returned, he promptly told of his time in Corona with greater detail, along with the invasion. The moment Dagur heard of Fake Berserkers, he was enraged beyond capacity and destroyed anything in his sight. Though luckily, he didn't destroy too much.

Mala calmed her husband down with a hand on his shoulder and another on his face. She turned his furious face towards her soft gaze, and his anger melts away. She then quickly slapped the man, bringing her husband back to earth and surprising the Celts.

"Aw, thank you, my Mala—" Dagur stopped mid-sentence as his wife gave him a look. It spoke of a discussion about using pet names in public and special events such as the games.

"Dagur," Mala said sternly.

"I know. I know. I'm sorry," Dagur replied softly.

The couple acted almost romantically as the others watched. The Vikings were used to the sight and ignored them. The Celts were slightly baffled, though Queen Elinor was amused.

"Do they normally act like that?" Merida asked. She held her hand to prevent any pointing as her mother gave her a look.

"Uh...well...you see—"

"If you think it's weird, you're not the only one," Alvin commented, earning a state from the Berserker/Defender couple. "What? I've never acted like this with anyone."

"And you probably won't if Dagur has a say in things," Atali chuckled.

Dagur stormed up to Alvin, his face full of rage. No Viking stopped him, nor did Mala. Instead, everyone just rolled their eyes as the Celts wondered what was happening right now. Vikings fighting was one thing, but it was in the middle of introductions. Visiting royalty went nervous as more guards came.

"You have something you wanna say, Alvin?" Dagur asked in a threatening tone. He pushed his face closer to Alvin, looking up at the taller man.

"Yeah, I do. You reek of love, and we don't need you stinking up the place with it," Alvin said in the same tone. He glared down at Dagur as the two stared off.

Any tension that came was dispersed as they laughed and patted each other on the back like old friends. The other Vikings joined in, with Astrid and Eret taking note of Clan DunBroch's surprised faces. Though the Celts were more surprised for reasons the Vikings were not aware of at the moment.

"I still don't understand why you two do that," Malla commented.

"Oh please, we're Vikings," Alvin laughed. "We fight all the time and even makeup sometimes."

Astrid, Fishlegs, and Eret looked at each other in agreement. They could recall countless battles with Dagur and Alvin. And right now, they were allies. An odd predicament for their times.

Merida now went up. She was nervous as her mother. Despite the tension, she never talked to anyone besides Anna, and that was including the times Elsa was around as well. Not to mention the fact this event was organized for peace. First impressions were many things right now. Slowly, she stopped a few feet and wore, what she called, an official smile.

Which was nothing more than her normal smile but without much of her wildness for formal occasions.

"Chief Haddock, it is good to see you again," Merida began with a nervous smile.

"And you as well, Princess Merida. I take it these are friends of yours?" Hiccup greeted back, noticing three men behind the girl.

Merida turned to see the sons of the three lords walking up. She mentally slapped herself, forgetting this would happen. The trio had been sure to make sure no man goes near her, young, old, local, or foreign, without knowing them.

"We're not just friends. We're suitors," the young Macintosh boasted, flipping his gorgeous, curly brown hair to the side and making the girls swoon. The boy had a lean muscular figure that was accompanied by a toga-like attire that emphasized it.

Merida slapped her head. It hadn't been one minute into the introduction, and already there was gloating. It got even worse when the boy continued.

"I'm the heir for clan Macintosh!" the boy flipped his hair dramatically. "Rian!"

"Macintosh!" His clan cheered loudly.

It wasn't long before the other suitors introduced themselves. Their respective clans hollered with each name.

"I'm Callum, heir to Dingwall clan," Wee Dingwall said in a spacey kind of way as he seemed to bow regally.

"Dingwall!" came his clan cheering.

The Viking shared a small snicker as they heard Clan Dingwall.

"Pfft. Dingwall? What kind of name is that?" Astrid silently snarked.

"And we're supposed to have bad names," Fishlegs commented. Vikings purposely gave their children bad names, but none would want a name like Dingwall. It was too much.

"An ah m fae Clan Macguffin. Attie's ma tae meet ya. Gotta admit ah thocht ye d hiv mair mett on yas an be taller," The Heir to the MacGuffin clan said in his dialect, confusing everyone.

Merida gave a nervous smile as the crowd stopped to process the boy's words again. Even Hiccup looked to his friends, who were as in the dark as what the boy meant.

"What he say?" Astrid asked, confused by the young Macguffin's words.

She looked to the Celts for answers, but they were still thinking. And that's when Fishlegs spoke up.

"Hmmm...interesting. A doric dialect. Not used by many Celts," Fishlegs said with interest. He walked over to the boy before holding out his hands. "Well, we've done our introduction, so nice to meet you as well."

As the two shook hands, the crowd studied the two curiously. Maybe it was the fact that both were of similar build or that both were meek, but something about the two shaking hands was odd. It was almost like looking into a mirror. Of course, it may have been a coincidence. Big eaters weren't a rare occurrence anywhere and could easily label both of them.

"Fishlegs, you can understand him?" Hiccup asked.

"Of course. After all, as a diplomat of Berk, it is important to learn the various languages and dialects needed for communication," Fishlegs rep0lied with pride. He was a Viking of intelligence and had made sure to keep it that way.

The lord Macguffin stared for a moment before noticing eyes on him. Dragons may have landed on the Highlands for the first time, but this was a first in their kingdom: someone immediately understood the young lord's son. It was an uncommon dialect in these parts, and barely anyone spoke it.

"Nice tae meet ye Fishlegs ye hiv nae idea fit hard-vrocht it s been fur me tae blether tae people ah mean ma dad knows me sae he s guid bit it s been difficult fin almost everyone ye ken can t un'erstn ye It s like ruggin teeth files," Attie Macguffin said, happy to talk to someone without the pause.

"Yeah, I can see that as a problem," Fishleg said. He patted Macguffin on the shoulder in sympathy.

The crowd decided to leave the husky fellows alone. With only one side speaking in a discernable manner, barely anyone was interested in the conversation. Besides, the festivities were still active, so there was no point in staying around too long. There are still enough days to see the dragons and Vikings. So, everyone separated into groups. Hiccup went with King Fergus and Queen Elinor. Astrid and Eret wanted to follow but knew the chief to be safe. Besides, they could sneak past anything to check on him. They went with Alvin and Atali, hoping no one would pick a fight as Dagur and Mala went their separate way. Gobber went headfirst into a tent-like tavern as Valka walked with Rapunzel.

While it didn't seem like the best idea to scatter, the Vikings needed to show some faith and trust in the Highlanders. Which meant staying together in a large group would rouse suspicion and caution, especially with the dragons, who went off exploring on their own, save for the ones who fancied a nap.

Elsa stayed behind for a moment, glancing at the dragons. She felt a chill escape her hand as she stopped the snow. Some of the dragons looked back. While they didn't have the same character as Toothless, it was almost like they sensed her powers. The ice queen would have entered a staring contest with them had Anna not called for her.

"Come on, Elsa!" Anna said, grabbing her hand. "There will be time for dragons later. Let's enjoy ourselves. Plus, I think Kristoff is lost somewhere." Anna added that last part sheepishly.

Elsa turned to join her sister. While filled with some uncertainty, one thing was clear on her mind. A goal. And she would be sure to achieve it no matter what.

From the more sophisticated tent, one of the noblemen peeked from the curtains. He stirred the wine glass with circular motions before drinking it and going for another. As he picked up another glass, more men gathered with him, each wearing eyes of disgust.

"It seems savages do make peace," the same man said before going back inside. "Luckily, it won't last long."

Whew, I made it on time. Another chapter, and now we see the Vikings and Celts greet each other with thoughts from Elsa and one other. Who this person is will be revealed in time. For now, enjoy, and I'll try to get the next chapter out within a week at least.
