Chapter 4: Loki's Return

Thor was crying. She looked back to Loki. "Loki… I love you too…" Jane's voice broke as she spoke. She kissed him and held his hand.

A Few Hours Later…

Natasha, Tony, and Steve had left. They were there to check in on Jane. She had become good friends with the Avengers over the past year. Sif and Thor freaked out when an hour earlier, Loki had returned from the dead. Loki and Jane were currently in her room discussing a few things. "Did you mean what you said?" asked Jane. Loki looked at her. "What did i say?" he replied. Jane glared at him. "You said, in front of literally everyone, 'I love you.' To me." Jane said, irritated that he didn't remember. He stared at her. 'Jane… I was clearly delusional from the pain." Jane stared back. "I figured. You seemed a little delusional." Loki smiled slightly. "I do remember one thing you said. You said 'don't say to let you go…' Did you mean it?" Jane looked away. "No… all the extra people around must have made me freak out. I say stuff I don't mean when I freak out." Loki nodded. "So i'm guessing you also didn't mean when you said 'i love you too.'" The second she heard him say that, she replied "I'll be back," and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. Thor and Sif were waiting on the couch. They saw Jane and watched her. She sat down next to Thor. "What happened?" he asked. Jane shook her head. "You don't want to know." Thor shrugged. "Now may be a bad time but probably the only time so Thor needs to tell you something, Jane," said Sif. Thor looked at her then back at Jane. He sighed. "Jane… Sif and I are getting married." Jane stared at him.
