Hey everyone Naruto Senju and ViceVice here with another chapter of Vampire Prince of Duel Academy. We apologize it took so long to write the chapter but we were very busy lately with other things. But now that the new chapter is here we hope all enjoy it as much as we did writing it.

All too soon, but almost agonizingly slow all the same, the first day of school arrived. There had been celebrations over their acceptance, true, but on some level it was almost expected - Naruto and Mokuba were near unparalleled, after all. Regardless, they arrived at Domino Harbor via limousine with a retinue of four bodyguards. Many people and young duelists noticed the limo and began crowding.

"Ohmigosh, look!" One of the girls squealed in excitement. "It's Naruto Dracule!"

"He's so cute!" Her friend agreed, swooning, "His hair's as golden as the sun..." "D'you think he'd mind having a harem?" One girl asked.

The limo pulled up to the dock as the chauffeur got out of the car to open the door for the couple. Naruto stepped out wearing a new outfit, tailored just for this occasion. He wore a dark blue bedlah, with soft gold embroidery lining the top and accentuating his bustline. He was wearing a long skirt with a slit going all the way up his left leg, his ankle having a gold anklet tinkling with coins. His golden hair was adorned with a long veil, and his lower face was covered as well, though this veil was made of a sheerer fabric. Around his neck was the Millenium Necklace, well-hidden by his facial veil, and a golden armband was wrapped around his right bicep. Aside from these accessories, Naruto was dripping in jewels. The crowds cheered and began to shout for autographs, and Naruto's body guards formed a perimeter around him to keep the crowds back.

Undisturbed, Naruto whistled, and what jumped out of the limo caused the crowds to gasp in shock and awe: his twin lionesses, Nefertiri and Cleopatra, adorned in their own jewels and gold. The two beasts flanked their master, and Mokuba soon followed behind with his own companion, a falcon named Horus which had perched on his shoulder. The two lionesses, unknown to the crowd at large, were spirits born from magic made flesh, so unlike real lions they didn't eat or hunt humans unless ordered. As they approached the ship, they were greeted by the captain.

"Lord and lord-consort Dracule-Kaiba, my name is Captain Ying, and I welcome you aboard the S.S Duel Academia." Captain Ying gave a polite bow with his hands clasped in front of him. "It's an honor to have royalty aboard my vessel."

Naruto gave a small bow in return, ornaments clinking as he did so. "Thank you, Captain; your hospitality is most welcome. My consort and companions are looking forward to the trip."

The captain finally took notice of the two lionesses and gulped, hoping he was imagining the hungry gleam in their feline eyes. "Er, pardon me, milord," Captain Ying suggested fearfully, "I mean no disrespect, but I really don't think it's safe to have two dangerous beasts aboard a ship full of students unchecked."

"Nefertiti and Cleopatra are harmless, captain," Naruto assured him, "They are not exactly what you would call 'normal lions' - rather, they are a special breed that possess neither craving nor instinct to hunt humans." Naruto mindlessly began to pet Nefertiri's head. "Besides, they never leave my sight, and go where I go, not only to ensure my safety, but the safety of others as well."

Of course, he wasn't going to tell him that the lionesses were created through the use of magic. How could you tell someone unaware of magic that your mother had found a spell to create an animal companion with any trait thinkable and unthinkable. The man would think it crazy. But the thoughts of the sparrow don't concern the eagle, and Cleopatra and Nefertiri were truly blessings in a lion's shell.

"Also, they're approved by the government and are legal parts of the royal family" Mokuba cut in, producing their papers. "Take a look."

The captain took the papers and examined the fine print and seal of approval. Finally satisfied, he nodded his head and handed the papers back to Mokuba.

"Very well, then." Captain Ying said, moving to allow them to pass, "Welcome aboard, gentlemen, ladies."

"Cleopatra, Nefertiri, come." Naruto called, and the lions kept pace as the four were led to their private cabin.

In previous years, students may have been flown in via helicopter, but since Naruto got airsick easily (but not seasick, critically enough), alternate arrangements had been drafted, finalized, and passed, all before the next school year could even commence. Since the transportation to Duel Academy was paid for, many students, new and returning, were happy simply to be on a liner more luxurious than they had previously ever experienced. Even so, the ship journey took a full three days rather than the eight hours a helicopter ride would, but with every possible want and need accounted for, the time loss was comparatively negligible. Students were also grouped in cabins based on dueling records, with more successful duelists being given higher-end cabins than those with less-than-stellar records.

However, the obvious exception was Naruto and Mokuba's cabin, who had insisted on a private cabin due to their marital status. Naruto and Mokuba's cabin was perhaps the most luxurious of them all, due to both their stellar abilities as duelists and some unabashed favoritism by Seto. Like all cabins, the walls were a sterile white and the floors had a dark blue carpet. The bed, however, was queen-sized with immaculate white sheets and a goldenrod comforter draped across the foot of the bed. Next to the bed was a cream-colored sofa and a wooden coffee table, and across from the bed was a large wooden writing desk. Across from the sofa, facing away from a particularly large window that overlooked the ocean was a matching love seat. The lionesses settled on the bed to rest while Naruto gazed out the window at the beautiful open sea.

The endless waves reminded him of all the times he would go boating with his mother Kimiko and her old friend, whom he had called Uncle Mako when he was young. He remembered Mako telling him of many sea legends and old fishing stories of himself and his father. Hands wrapped around his waist, and he turned his head to see Mokuba, resting his head against his back and listening to Naruto's heartbeat. Smiling softly, Naruto picked Mokuba up and carried him to the bed, where he laid the silk comforter over him. As Mokuba dozed off, Naruto gave him a kiss on the forehead and gazed lovingly down at his lover. Mokuba always did look cute when he was sleeping. Wanting both fresh air and to let Mokuba rest, Naruto left their room with his lionesses in tow.

Meanwhile, just down the hall was Chazz Princeton's room. The youngest Princeton was having a harder time relaxing than most other students, as all he could think of was the blonde beauty he had seen during the entrance exams. Chazz wasn't interested in guys, so Naruto was the first boy he was ever attracted to. Unbidden, images of Naruto soon began to fill his head, no matter how hard he tried not to think of him.

"GAH!" Chazz growled, "I can't take it anymore. Everywhere I go, all I can think about is him." Chazz snarled, pulling his hair in frustration. In his furor, he fell backwards out of his chair. He got up and took a deep breath. "I just need some fresh air to clear my head." He assured himself, and so Chazz left his room to find the upper deck, hoping some wave-watching might clear his head and get his mind off his- that blond Adonis.

Up on the top deck, Naruto leaned against the railing and looked over the ocean, lost in his thoughts. The wind blew gently against his face, his jewelry jingling in the breeze. He closed his eyes for a bit to soak in the tranquility of the relative silence, when he suddenly received visions; images of shadows and gigantic creatures, strange figures in unknown locations, and a vision of his mother, Camula. The visions ceased as suddenly as they came, and Naruto collapsed to his knees panting. What was that?

"A penny for your thoughts, young master?"

Naruto looked to his left to see the duel spirit of Anubis looking out at the ocean as well. "It is nothing you need to concern yourself with, Anubis," Naruto lied, "I am fine."

Of course, Anubis knew that that was a lie. The spirit knew that the Millennium Necklace had shown Naruto visions of the future of Duel Academy. However, not wanting to push the issue and agitate Naruto, he changed the subject.

"Are you worried about Duel Academy giving you the royal treatment?" The jackal god asked, clearly amused. "It would be fitting, for you are, indeed, royalty."

Naruto only sighed in response. While true that he was royalty, he still sometimes wished that people would treat him like a normal person, like Mokuba and Seto did. After the previous few months spent in the public eye, he was beginning to see that when it came to royalty, one simply wasn't allowed to be themselves in public. And he thought the royals of England had it bad, being the only son of the Queen of Vampires (not that the general public was aware they were vampires) was possibly worse.

"You know that I simply want people to see me for me, not for my title." Naruto replied, sullenly looking at the horizon. "I mean, I am just as normal as any other person on this ship."

Anubis gave him an awkward look at the implications of the word "normal".

"Alright, so I am a supernatural being," Naruto allowed, "I get the picture. But you get my point, right?"

"We understand perfectly, my little serpent" The spectral image of Isis appeared. "Yet we are worried, for we also fear what will befall Duel Academy. We know the Millennium Necklace has shown you of what will transpire."

"You know that my visions are not always clear." Naruto answered, brushing his fingers over the golden eye of the Necklace. "Besides, I am not sure myself what sort of evils will befall the Academy. The vision was upsettingly vague."

Sensing their master's distress, Nefertiri and Cleopatra brushed themselves against his legs. Naruto gently scratched their heads, to which they purred happily. However, their purring soon died down into low snarls, and their tails began to whip around in agitation as a certain raven-haired student appeared out of the shadows

"Hey, hey, call off your kitty cats." Chazz growled, though it was clear there was a level of fear underneath his expression. "Don't you have leashes for them or something?"

Naruto simply snapped his fingers, and the lionesses heeled and sat up straight at their master's command. Chazz crossed his arms, but noticeably relaxed at the lionesses' obedience. "You… You were the applicant that was eyeballing me at the exam in the Kaiba dome." Naruto finally spoke, tone annoyed as he despised stalkers. Wait, he noticed that?! Chazz thought as he was sweating a bit. Quick, think of something! "Sorry, I just didn't know you were a guy," Chazz stammered out, his mask of coolness keeping down any unnecessary feelings. "I thought you were a cute chick, haha… Ha..." He laughed weakly, hoping that Naruto would buy the lie.

"Hm… Chazz Princeton, youngest brother of Jagger and Slade Princeton. Incoming Obelisk Blue at Duel Academy." Naruto recited what he could remember of the other boy. "Two-time junior champion in Domino City, with a dueling record of 85 wins and 6 losses."

"So, the prince has brains to go along with his looks." Chazz grinned as he got up. At Naruto's surprised look, he added, "I heard the announcement before your duel: you're the Prince Dracule of Transylvania."

"Ah, so you have heard about me? It seems that I am not the only one who has done their homework."

"From what I've heard, you're also engaged to Seto Kaiba's little brother." Chazz smirked.

"...And why should my marital life be any of your concern?" Naruto's eyebrow quirked, betraying his annoyance at the young man's arrogance.

"Well, my sources," Tabloid magazines, though Naruto didn't need to know that, "Also say that your mother married the princess of the world-famous Uzumaki family, making you the heir to the Uzumaki bloodline."

Naruto was silent. "...And where are you going with this, Mr. Princeton."

"Well, since you have two royal titles, perhaps you would like to take another consort. Someone with, say, a prestigious background and powerful connections, someone like…" Chazz paused, letting the idea sink into Naruto's head. "Me." Naruto was silent. "Surely, someone of your beauty could use someone of my calibre." Chazz continued, figuring the silence was a good sign. "And with you by my side, I could-"

SMACK!

Chazz found himself on the ground, dazed as Naruto stomped past him, offended by his disgusting attempts at courting. Nefertiri and Cleopatra slunk behind Naruto, aching to devour the human but unable to due to the nature of their being. So they settled for leaving the human behind.

"Damn… I guess it's true what they say..." Chazz grumbled, but as he rubbed his cheek, he couldn't help smirking. "Uzumakis really do play hard to get. Well, this one won't be escaping the Chazz." Picking himself up and dusting off his new Obelisk Blue uniform, he silently followed Naruto to try again.

Unbeknownst to them, a certain red-headed girl was watching the whole encounter. "So, you've finally come out of hiding, little brother." The girl narrowed her sea-blue eyes. "It took us a long time to find you."

The girl was Nariko Uzumaki-Namikaze, eldest child of Minato Namikaze, former two-time champion of Domino City whose Red-Eyes deck still shook terror into most; and Kushina Uzumaki, a retired Pro-Duelist who had used a Lightsworn deck notorious for its overwhelming ferocity. Nariko was one of the top duelists in Leaf City, Tokyo, and her popularity only skyrocketed after she inherited her parents' decks upon her 5th birthday. Not only that, but Nariko was also prophesied to bring down a powerful divine force that threatened to bring about the doom for not only humans, but the spirit world of Duel Monsters as well. Because of this her younger twin brother, Naruto, was overlooked by her parents, who doted on her needs in order to prepare her for her destiny, leaving Naruto to be raised by her aunt Kimiko, Kushina's elder sister. She would always try to rub her status as the Chosen One as well as her popularity in her brother's face, which resulted in her seeing him less and less until he had stopped coming home altogether.

"So, you finally show up after twelve long years, after what your disappearance put our parents through that day..." Nariko sneered, remembering the day things went oh-so wrong.

Flashback Twelve Years Ago

It was Naruto and Nariko's 5th birthday at the Namikaze estate, and the event was attended by many important people, including influential members of the dueling world. The reason, of course, was the duel between the twin heirs of the Uzumaki-Namikaze name.

Naruto LP: 1000 Nariko: LP: 1900

Naruto was down to 1000 life points, with no monsters on the field and a single face-down card. Meanwhile, his elder sister had two Red-Eyes Black Dragons on the field and 1900 life points. He had to turn things around, and quickly - he was always being compared to his prodigal sister. It was bad enough when his parents did it, but he could just hear the partygoers making similar comparisons.

"Come on, loser, just make your move so that I can beat you again for the tenth time in a row." Nariko mocked him, to the amusement of some of the crowd.

"We'll see Nariko! This time, I'm going to beat you!" Naruto shouted, and he drew his card. Silently, he thanked the gods that it was just the card he needed. "Alright, Nariko, first I activate the Spell Card, Tears of Aerith!" A Spell Card depicting a young brunette girl softly crying as she prayed manifested in front of Naruto.

"What does that card do?" Nariko asked, as she never heard of that card.

"Tears of Aerith gives me 100 extra life points for every monster in my graveyard! And since I've got six monsters, I gain 600 more life points." The sky turned cloudy as soft raindrops fell upon him, pearls of light rolling off his shoulders as his life points rose.

Naruto LP: 1000 - 1600 Nariko LP: 1900

"Now, I play Prematural Burial from my hand, which lets me summon Lulu: the Black Mage from my Graveyard, at the cost of 800 life points!"

Naruto LP: 1600 - 800 Nariko LP: 1900

Climbing out from the ground, yet no worse for wear, was a raven-haired woman wearing a low-cut dark-gray and black dress with two crossed belts on the upper part of each sleeve. The décolletage was trimmed in fur, and the hem and sleeves had ornate lace edges. The lower front of her gown was made of a collection of interlaced belts. She also wore a corset and lace-trimmed stockings. [2200/1600]

"But she won't be out for long, because I'm sacrificing her to summon Cloud Strife: Swordmaster of Light to the field!" Naruto announced, playing his card.

Lulu vanished in a swirl of black smoke which shot up to the sky, to the rain cloud that had hung in the sky. The cloud darkened, but a beam of light broke through, and Cloud Strife: Swordmaster of Light slowly descended from it. He wore a black robe, a high-collared sleeveless indigo shirt, black pants and boots, and black cloth covering his right leg and arm. On his shoulder was a silver pauldron, and Cloud's chest was covered by two straps, held in place by a badge in the shape of Fenrir, the wolf. His left arm was bare, and around that arm's bicep was a pink ribbon, blowing softly in the wind. [2700/2400] The blond-haired swordsman landed gracefully to the ground and, unprompted, swung his mighty broadsword and cleaved both Red-Eyes in two, shocking everyone. But no one was more shocked than his parents.

"How did he… How did he get hold of my sister's deck?" Kushina sputtered in shock.

Camula's laughter broke her out of her confusion as the vampire mistress answered her question. "It's quite simple, my dear tomato: Kimiko has officially retired as of last week, so she left her deck in the hands of her nephew as a birthday present. I must say, he's quite skilled with it already."

"Surely, she's made a mistake. I mean, Nariko's the more gifted one." Jiraiya pointed out, handily ignoring Naruto's own adequate skills. "Besides, it was already decided that Naruto would inherit my deck, seeing as I'm his godfather."

Camula didn't even bother hiding her cringe at the mere mention of the man's Frog deck. Frogs were among the weakest cards in the entire game. Just the thought of giving Naruto such a deck clearly proved to her just how little they cared for Naruto as a duelist.

"Ah, I see. Do you mean that pathetic deck of yours that you've always lost with?" Camula laughed, not even hiding her derision. "Your deck was worth nothing in the dueling world in its prime and it's worth nothing now, and believe me, Naruto would rather inherit my deck than some amphibian reject."

Jiraiya went red in the face at her blatant disrespect for his dueling deck, which had been passed down for generations, or so he claimed. Camula ignored his theatrics in favor of the duel.

"Come on, little bat. This duel is all but won." Camula thought. "Just remember the move your aunt taught you."

"What happened to my Red-Eyes Black Dragons?" Nariko shouted.

"When Cloud Strife: Swordmaster of Light is summoned to the field, all Dragon-type monsters on the field are destroyed!" Naruto gloated, "Which means you're open for a direct attack! But y'know what, why settle for just one when I can have both? I activate my Trap Card, Confliction of the Soul!" The Trap Card revealed itself, showing a malaised Cloud Strife: Swordmaster of Light as a dark, winged shadow loomed behind him. "Thanks to this Trap Card, if I have Cloud on the field, I can Special Summon his dark counterpart: Sephiroth: Master Swordsman of Darkness!"

The card seemed to fly into Naruto's hand. Darkness filled the dueling field as shadowy mists spilled from the Trap Card. Cloud spun his sword around him before stabbing the ground with it, forming a five-point seal. The one winged angel himself rose slowly from the ground. He had long, silver hair with long bangs that framed his face, and was dressed in a black leather coat with a long collar that reached his ears, and was kept closed by a black belt with a silver buckle around his waist. The sleeves of the coat ended in metal rings in place of normal cuffs, and he wore black leather gloves. On his right forearm was an odd black-and-red fin. His chest was exposed, revealing the grey strap wound around his abdomen with two black belts over it, as well as two brown straps that intersected over his chest in an "x" formation. He wore black pants and knee-high boots, with two grey belts wrapped around each boot. Silver pauldrons adorned his shoulders, and from his back sprang a large, navy blue wing on his right shoulder. In his hand was a six-foot long odachi. It was Sephiroth: Master Swordsman of Darkness [3000/2800].

"Finally…" Naruto whispered. "Finally, it's my turn! It's my turn to pay you back for all the mocking and insults you put me through. I'm not going to be compared to you ever again! I now play the last card of the duel, so I can make your defeat even more painful with everyone here watching! I activate the Quick Play Spell, Clash of Light and Darkness!" The card materialized, showing the beautiful artwork of Cloud Strife: Swordmaster of Light and Sephiroth: Master Swordsman of Darkness locking blades, fire burning behind them. "When both Cloud and Sephiroth are on the field, I can transfer their attack points to either one, and I choose Sephiroth!" Cloud glowed bright as he was drained of his attack points. Similarly, Sephiroth emitted a deep purple aura as the attack points were transferred into Sephiroth's body. [3000/2800 - 5700/2800]

"Now it's time to say goodnight, Nariko!" Naruto grinned, "Sephiroth, attack my sister's life points directly! Octoslash!" Naruto commanded, raising a hand to the sky.

Sephiroth drew his blade and held a stance, focusing on Nariko. The blade became shrouded in darkness, and then Sephiroth was there, performing eight slashes in the blink of a single eye. In an instant, he had decimated down Nariko's life points, and Nariko had fallen backwards from the sheer force of the attack.

Naruto: LP 800 Nariko: LP 1900 - 0

The crowd stood in shocked silence as the genius heiress to the clan lost for the first time; to her less-skilled baby brother, no less. Camula was the first to clap, followed by Tsunade Senju and her ward Shizune, with some of the clan heads following suit. Soon, the entire party was applauding Naruto's victory, and for the first time in his life, Naruto felt accomplished in his ability to duel, and felt proud over his triumph over his sister. Nariko, meanwhile, took her loss extremely hard, and vowed to make Naruto pay for upstaging her. And pay for it, Naruto did.

That night, Naruto overheard his parents talking in his father's study. Barely able to make out what they were saying, his curiosity was piqued by Jiraiya and Nariko joining in on the conversation. What on earth could be so urgent that they would all be meeting like this this late at night? To find out, Naruto crept closer to hear better.

"Minato, you've got to do something," Jiraiya complained, "Naruto clearly overstepped his boundaries this time. We all know that Naruto can't be able to defeat his sister - Nariko needs to be prepared for her destiny, and she can't do that if she's losing to Naruto, of all people."

"Well, how were we supposed to know that Kushina's sister left Naruto her deck?" Minato shot back, "We only just learned about that today."

"The Final Fantasy Deck was designed to be overwhelmingly powerful... We have to do something." Kushina said thoughtfully, "I know my son strives to be a great duelist, but if he's taking such lengths to interfere with Nariko's destiny..." Kushina, to give her credit, did feel guilty about sabotaging her son and giving him weak cards, but if the greater good required the loss of one person… "Perhaps we could convince Kimiko to give the deck to Nariko," Kushina suggested. "With a deck like that by her side, she might even be able to take on Yugi Muto. Nariko would be a savior unparalleled…"

"Yeah, that deck's wasted in my idiot brother's hands!" Nariko shouted. "Naruto's victory was a fake! He couldn't beat me with his own pathetic deck, so he cheated by using Aunt Kimiko's deck! That proves that my brother has no skill with his own cards!"

"Nariko does have a point, Minato," Jiraiya agreed, "Kimiko's blatantly sabotaging Nariko."

"Jiraiya, you know as well as I do that Kimiko is very picky on who inherits her deck," Minato sighed, "I can't just-"

"You can, because you're Naruto's father." Jiraiya interrupted. "It's for the best, anyways. We'll have Naruto hand over the deck to Nariko, and then I can begin training Naruto with my Frog deck."

Both parents looked at each other, and then nodded in agreement.. This would hurt Naruto, they knew that, but it was not only for the boy's own good, but for the good of Nariko and the entire world.

"Very well, Jiraiya," Minato allowed, "Just know that Naruto will resist, but if he can understand how to use Kimiko's deck, he can understand why he can't use it."

Kushina scoffed. "If he's anything like the rest of the Uzumakis, he'll most definitely hold a grudge, y'know. But if the end result is a world where my babies can live in peace, I'll gladly bear that grudge."

Naruto slowly backed away in horror at just how deep his parents' adoration of his sister was. This time, they were going to take away his new deck (What did they mean he cheated? He got it from Aunt Kimiko fair and square, it's his deck) to give to sister, just because he shouldn't be allowed to beat her? That… That was the last straw. He had to leave. But where would he go? Off the top of his head, he could think of a few places, but he quickly realized that those choices would just send him back to his parents. Then he thought of his Aunts Kimiko and Camula. They would gladly take him in, and even better, they would keep him away from his parents since they weren't on good terms with the Namikaze family. He quickly returned to his bedroom and began to pack as many things as he could as quickly as possible.

Almost an hour later, Minato left his office and came to the bottom of the stairs. He called out for Naruto, but no answer was heard. Figuring Naruto was simply getting ready for bed, Minato motioned for Kushina to join him, and the two ascended, thinking that this might be the perfect chance to explain things to their son. Nariko followed her parents, to help Naruto understand that his victory was never going to happen again. Soon enough, they were in front of Naruto's room, and Kushina knocked on his door.

"Naruto, honey? It's mommy, can we come in? We need to talk about something important." Kushina tried, but no answer came. She turned the knob, only to see that it was unlocked.

They entered to see the room as empty as can be. Unlike his sister's room, which was filled with posters, Duel Monsters toys, and various other kinds of merchandise, Naruto's room was absolutely barren, with nothing but a bed, a desk, and wooden dresser. The walls were off white, with no marks from anything that had been hanging from the wall. However, Naruto and any signs he had existed had utterly vanished. As the family investigated the room to find any signs of the boy's whereabouts, Nariko was the first to spot the envelope addressed to the family.

"Hey, I found a letter." Nariko called out to the others. She handed the letter to her mother. Kushina opened the envelope and began to read its contents.

Dear Namikaze family,

I didn't think you could sink any lower than you did tonight. At first, I thought that Nariko was getting extra attention because of her so-called dueling IQ and not because of some dumb "prophecy". I thought we all knew it was just a bunch of garbage. Color me surprised to find out tonight that you actually believed in it all. It's bad enough you kept comparing me to my sister, but it's even worse that I found out my parents have been sabotaging my dueling studies and giving you the weakest cards in the game on purpose just to keep Nariko happy. Now you want to take away the deck Aunt Kimiko entrusted to me. Well, I've had it. Now you can have all the time in the world with your only child. I've already packed up and left, and I took the deck with me. You'll never see me again, and if we ever do cross paths again it won't be as family, because the only family you have is your favorite child. I hope that prophecy was worth it.

Goodbye, Naruto Uzumaki (formerly Namikaze)

Kushina covered her mouth as tears flooded her eyes. The letter fluttered to the floor, where Minato and Nariko read it in turn. Her baby had overheard their conversation and completely run away. She had been such a bad mother to her little boy, and for what? Some phantom "greater good"? Prophecy or no, she'd been horrible to her own child. Minato, not one to confront his own grief until later, immediately called the Leaf City Police Department and requested all their available manpower to find his son. Minato had made lots of enemies during his Pro dueling career and he worried that one of them might have gotten their hands on him. Jiraiya, one of the LCPD's best undercover officers, offered to join the search, but Kushina, angry at his part in driving away Naruto, refused.

Nariko, on the other hand, wasn't bothered one bit by her brother's disappearance. Let him run away, for all she cared. Even so, she was angry that he had taken the deck she was going to receive with him. That alone pissed her off. As that year went on, she soon realized that the loser running away was actually a bad thing, not because he was her brother and "family stuck together" or some such nonsense, but because her parents were spending more time looking for him rather than training her.

"That loser ruins my good mood even when he runs away." Nariko swore, "He better pray that I don't find him, 'cause when I do, I'm going to make sure he regrets it."

End flashback

Now that Naruto was found, she could finally report back to her parents and Jiraiya that he had been found, along with the new information of his private life that she overheard from that loud-mouthed Princeton. Perhaps her loser brother wasn't that useless after all - after all, tricking his way into a marriage with the Kaiba family, and the throne to Transylvania as well? At least the loser was good for something.

"Mom and Dad are gonna praise me highly for what I've discovered." Nariko grinned, "We should have realized my aunt and her wife were harboring him. After all, where else could he have gone?"

But first, she had to wait until she arrived at Duel Academia. Then she could report the good news to her family.
