Kol Mikaelson was a prankster at heart. He loved causing mischief. In his immortal life, he had pranked his siblings a lot, but never he got the response he was getting now. He watched in amusement as his siblings mouth opened and closed but no words escaped. Beside him, Edlynne chuckled and said " Never, I've thought that I will see oldest vampires in the history this speechless"

It was enough to break them of their stupefied state.

"What?!?" Rebekah screeched while Klaus and Elijah settled on looking at Kol in disbelief.

"Did I stutter?" Kol asked sarcastically.

"You're married. Why none of us knew you are married Kol??" Rebekah demanded hurt and shocked from the news.

"Why would I?" Kol snapped back "Its not like you care. And I simply don't trust you all enough" he continued nonchalantly.

"What do you mean?" Klaus asked frowning at him.

"It mean what I said brother. I don't trust you all" Kol replied.

"Why don't you trust us? We are your family" Elijah said, looking hurt but more composed then his other siblings.

"Family!" Kol chuckled humourlessly "Don't make me laugh Elijah. I was never part of your family. You're family included only 3 of you. Not Finn. Not me. Only you three." At this, Edlynne took Kol's hand in hers and squeezed it softly in silent support. She knew how hard it was for him. "Did you forget we were never a part of your little vow. I was on my own for 1000 years so don't give me that family crap."

"Kol—" Rebekah started but was cut off by Kol.

"No bekah, I get it, I wouldn't be part of your family. You know I used to crave it. I was always jealous. I wanted you all to accept me, not ignore me. But all of you did just that. You all thought of me as some psychopath. The uncontrollable. No one thought or asked me why I was like that. I lost my magic. Did you know how it feels to lose a part of you? I lost my connection to the nature and was turned into this monster. But you never gave me a second thought. But you know, now I don't need it. I'm not jealous anymore. Cause I have something you don't. And I have everything I wanted. I have a family . A one which loves me not ignore me and daggers me like you did. So, I prefer not to trust you."

"We never—" Rebekah started, now tears freely falling , as she looked at her brother with guilt. She was busy being with Nik that she unintentionally neglected her other brother. Klaus and Elijah were having the same thoughts as they looked at their younger brother guilty and ashamed.

"You what bekah? Didn't think it like that? I know bex , I know. You didn't have time for me. It's okay you know, really it's okay. I dealt with it . You know with all the bitterness and emptiness. All thanks to my beautiful wife here" Kol said , smiling softly at Edlynne who smiled back. It was so obvious that they were head over heels for each other, which shocked the mikaelson siblings more.
"You are right" Everyone turned to Klaus who was looking at Kol with tears in his eyes. "We neglected you. Always thinking you were playing games when you turned into a maniac for our attention, and ignored you when you needed us most. I know I daggered you multiple times but I was protecting you from yourself and Mikael. But I never thought about your view in this. And I'm sorry. Sorry for not treating you like a brother. Sorry for letting you believe that you are not a part of this family. Beacause you are. You are my brother and again I'm sorry for what I did." Klaus finished shocking everyone but mostly Kol. He didn't his brother cared.
"I apologise too Kol" Elijah stated, feeling incredibly guilty for neglecting his younger brother. "I failed you. Unintentionally, yes, but I ended up alienating you. I want you to know how deeply sorry I am for that Kol. I care about you brother. And I am sorry for being dense about your situation." Elijah ended regretfully.
"I'm sorry too Kol. But you are my family. And I love you brother" Rebekah said, wanting her brother to know how she feels.
"And I know we are 1000 years late but maybe we can still make it up to you brother. Always and forever. What'd you say?" Klaus said smirking lightly but his eyes held emotions that kol has never seen before.
All kol could do was watch his siblings surprised. They were asking what he wanted for thousand years. He couldn't think straight as He was so overwhelmed with emotions. So he did what he normally does now whenever he is at loss. He looked at Edlynne. Only person, he knows, who loves him unconditionally.
Edlynne smiles softly and nodded. She knew how much he wanted his siblings to accept him. Of course now he has many people to care about but his siblings are still, well , his siblings. And today they were offering him something he has always wanted.
Kol looked at his brother and nodded, " Always and forever brother" he said smirking but his eyes told the emotions he was feeling.
Rebekah jumped in his arms and hugged him tightly. He just chuckled and wrapped his arms around her. Elijah also nodded at him , happy his brother was accepting their offer.
Edlynne watched them smiling widely. Finally her husband got what he wanted his whole life. Klaus turned towards her "That still doesn't explain how did this happen?" He asked looking between Kol and Edlynne. "And how did you bring my brother back from dead so easily? Resurrection is not easy even for very powerful witches."
But before Kol can answer his question, Edlynne turned to Kol and said , " Babe, it's almost 6. They will be awake in few minutes."
Kol apparently understood who 'they' are and nodded.
"Of course darling. You go. I'll explain the, everything and be at home soon". He kissed her goodbye.
Edlynne turned towards the rest of originals and said, "It was nice meeting you" she waved last time and disappeared into thin air.
The originals vampires and the hybrid who recently came to know about her , stood their looking at the empty space stunned. Thinking what exactly their brother has for them...
