"TWILIGHT!"

It was unclear who had screamed it as Twilight collapsed. The world seemed to slow when the Links ran to their fallen friend.

Time killed the lizalfo with a fiery fury, and slid to his knees beside the unconscious Twilight first.

"Come on Pup. Wake up, you've had worse before." he pleaded with the limp figure cradled in his arms.

"Time. These arrows are poisoned." Sky said numbly, fingering the arrow shaft still imbedded in his friend.

"We need to remove them."

"Hyrule. What magic do you have left?"

"I'm sorry Time, I'm completely drained. But I can treat the poison. I think it came from my Hyrule. "

"It's ok Hyrule. Just… just do what you can." Time said as he set Twilight gently on his back in front of Hyrule.

"Does anyone have any red potions left?" Hyrule asked nervously, rummaging through his bag.

"I have 3 left, Four has 1." Warriors said, taking a speedy inventory.

"4. Hmm, that should be enough to hold off the poison- for now, but not enough to seal the entry wounds, I'll need to stitch that up myself." Hyrule thought aloud as he worked.

The others crowded around Twi restlessly until Sky herded them off.

Time stayed and paced aggressively. Eyes never leaving his pup.

Twilight opened his eyes on a battlefield. The world was clouded in a misty haze. His only view was of Ganondorf. Mounted on his huge war horse. Triumphantly brandishing Midna's helm above his head and…. NO!

And the blissful darkness took him once again

Legend had to do something. He felt useless watching Hyrule struggle to keep the poison at bay. They all knew that it would only be a matter of time before… no. He can't lose another friend. Not again.

Legend let out a pained sigh as he fought back memories. That was- that was until he felt something. Wait… what? No. It can't be.

He smoothed the back of his neck where a prickling sensation nagged at him.

The same sensation he felt coming across the magic of a Great Fairy.

And then it hit him. A GREAT FAIRY! A Great Fairy can heal Twilight!

"TIME! HYRULE! I KNOW HOW TO HEAL TWILIGHT!"

They followed Legend as he pulled on the string of invisible fairy magic guiding him.

Time was carrying Twilight bridal style, careful not to jostle him in the slightest.

Time approached the colorful luminescent path leading up to the fountain. It didn't take long for the Great Fairy Mija to appear.

"AH HAHAHAHA!" she laughed joyfully as she erupted from the glowing waters below.

The shimmering purple jewels that adorned her body glimmered in the moonlight.

"Ahh What's this? You are not Link. Or, at least the one I am acquainted with." She winked at them.

"No, but we are in great need of your abilities." Time replied, barely even phased that she knew who they were.

"Oooh I see. The poor boy." She said with her booming voice as she looked down at Twilight in his arms.

"But I am afraid I cannot help you."

She had a sorrow filled expression as she explained.

"You see, brave heroes. I am not what my kind once was. Me and my sisters in this era of wilderness, have only the power of our craft. We can enhance clothing with elemental protection, and great abilities. Our ability to heal one's most grievous wounds is lost to the years."

Everyone could hear the obvious regret in her voice. But that did not make her words hurt any less as their hopes were shattered.

"However."

Everyone perked up their ears with their last shreds of hope.

"You all share the same courageous spirit as my dear friend Link. He has done so much for me, yet will only ever let me aid him in little ways."

"I cannot heal your friend. But my fairies can." She stated confidently.

The Great Fairy Mija summoned all of the sparkling fairies out of hiding.

"Come my little ones. Aid the heroes spirit once again"

As the fairies set to work healing Twilight, Time laid him down on the slightly squishy, luminous path.

The Great Fairy Mija took this moment to lighten the mood. Placing her elbow on the edge of the pool, and resting her chin in her hand, she said,

"You know, it's funny. My fairies often travel with Link. They bring me back stories of how utterly reckless he is- and just how many times they have had to heal him."

"Ooh. My dear- the fairies seem to like you." She said, beaming at Hyrule as the fairies swarmed him.

Hyrule giggled at the tinkling fairies just as Twilight woke with a gasp.

"Ah! It seems your friend is healed!" She called as her fairies dispersed back into hiding.

"I wish you a successful journey.

Oh- and when you finally find Link, give him my greetings." She smirked knowingly and winked at their dumbstruck expressions before disappearing into the depths of her pool.

They arrived at Tarrey Town a few hours later, around midnight. Everyone was fussing over Twi, refusing to believe he was completely healed.

When they first left the Great Fairy Fountain, Time had snatched Twilight back up, and continued down the path, carrying him bridal style again. Much to Twilight's annoyance. But as much as Twilight wiggled and squirmed, Time held fast.

"Uhhhhhh Time! Put. me. Down!"

"Not on my life Pup, stop squirming- you'll hurt yourself."

The Links were all in a unanimous decision to let this continue until they reached Tarrey Town, but Twilight had other ideas.

Twilight had a plan of escape.

After a few minutes of non stop squirming, Twilight surrendered to let himself be carried and folded his arms in a pout.

Time smiled at his victory.

But as soon as Time shifted in his grip (Which admittedly took longer than expected) Twilight seized his chance. He scrambled out of Times hold with about as much grace as a bulblin boar.

He rolled off the ground with an "AH HA!" only to realize that they were right in front of the natural bridge to Tarrey Town.

Damn.

The group let Twilight walk into town on his own. Legend claimed that "the old man needs to rest his aching back." then proceeded to get his hat smacked off by Time. To everyone's immediate amusement.

There was barely anyone out this late at night. Warriors took charge and led them to what looked like the inn.

They didn't realize how exhausted they were until they laid their eyes on the beds. The Zora innkeeper- Kapson, gave them the upstairs rooms. There weren't enough beds for everyone, and Twilight was about to volunteer himself to a bedroll on the floor, before Warriors wrestled him into one of the beds, and the rest of the Links smothered him under so many blankets, his voice was muffled under them all.

Time made the irritating point that "You won't need to talk if you're resting, Pup." and took his place in a chair by the door. He had gotten used to this Hyrule enough now that he would close his eyes for a bit when he was sure the boys were asleep.

In the morning, Time was pleased- but surprised to find that Twilight had slept later than Sky. Sky for the goddesses sake!

As soon as Twi was awake, and Hyrule had regained all his magical energy back- they went downstairs to thank Kapson, and find this Bolson person.

It turns out that Bolson was in Tarrey Town. They found him seated by a cooking pot, and another young man with a tool belt around his waist.

"Are you Bolson?" Warriors asked.

"Darn tootin! I am Bolson from Bolson Construction Company! Me an Karson here can build ANYTHING! Ain't that right Karson?

"Sure is!"

"Anyway. You folks need something built?" Bolson asked curiously.

"Actually, we were hoping to ask you a few things about your friend Link." Time butted in, before Warriors had a chance to get side tracked.

Bolson narrowed his eyes at them. "Karson, could you go help Hudson with repairs- I'll join you in a bit."

"Right'O boss!"

Once Karson was far enough away Bolson snapped at them.

"I'm not telling you anything about Link, you Yiga scum!"

Time was puzzled. Yiga? "I'm sorry, what are Yiga?"

Bolson stared at him, then said, "Bananas are the worst fruit, and only cowards eat them." he had clearly said these exact words before, and Time could tell they were rehearsed.

"I completely agree." he said, finally catching on to the whole banana thing.

There were a few splutters of realization from behind him that almost made him chuckle.

And then there was Legends "OOOOOHHH" which nearly cracked them all up.

"So you're not Yiga. Then what do you want with Link?" Bolson questioned.

"We need Link's help on our quest. If you want the truth, there's no real reason we should keep it from you." Warriors replied. Speaking more to Time than to Bolson.

Time sighed resigned at his words.

Bolson looked intrigued as he said "Alright- but tell me the whole story. Only then will I help you."

Warriors told their whole story. It didn't take too long but took considerably longer due to Wind adding unnecessary details to the story. Much to Warriors chagrin and Bolson's amusement.

Bolson was listening attentively with his finger on his chin. "Well, I suppose if so much is at stake..." he thought aloud to himself.

"I just hate to think of Link having to go off again after he's been through so much so soon." He added sadly. "But I suppose I have no choice."

Time nodded understandingly, but Legend scoffed internally, what did a full-grown man suffer that none of them did?

"What do you want to know?" Bolson said decidedly.

"We need to know where to find him."

"Alright, come with me." Bolson led them to a secluded corner behind one of the strange houses. And looked around to make sure no one was around before he started speaking.

"The day after Queen Zelda was coronated, Link came here to see me. He said that after everything he couldn't bear to live in the castle. The Queen gave her permission for him to leave. He told me that if I ever needed him, I could find him in the Akkala Wilds."

"I told him not to go. That area is very dangerous. But I suppose you of all people would know that he has an absurd amount of stubbornness. He wouldn't even let me build him a house. Said he preferred sleeping in the open. Felt safer that way for him I guess."

The group thanked him profusely. Grateful that they could finally find the 100-year-old hero.

Bolson stopped them as they turned to leave.

"You should know...Link, he- he is very skittish. He moves around the Wilds constantly, never feeling safe enough to stay in place. He is an expert on stealth and survival. He will know of your presence long before you will know of his. He will not trust you easily."

Time thanked him once again and led the group towards the Akkala Wilds, pondering how best to approach the skittish hero.

Hi! I hope you are enjoying my story, I just realized today that I was spelling Tarrey Town wrong. Many apologies for that! I will fix it immediately. Sorry for making Twilight's recovery unrealistically short, but I had to move the story along. If there is anything you hope to see from this story, or if you have any suggestions, let me know. I would love to hear them! If you have any critiques for this story, that is all the better!

This is my first ever fanfiction, and I hope you enjoy it!
