The Return of Four Eyed Jack

Chapter 4: Ghost Hunt

Megan and Kiki were still looking for Four Eyed Jack and Andy and Kiara were there to make sure that they didn't get into any trouble.

"Oh man...we're going to see a ghost. This is gonna be so cool!..."Kiki said in an eager tone.

"I'll say. I can't wait to see Four-eyes Jack. If we see him, we could be famous!..."Megan said excitedly as they pass some of the boarders doors.

"Megan, quiet! Some people are sleeping..."Andy tried but his sister and Kiki were still looking for the ghost, being careful not to disturb the boarders.

"This is so stupid!..."Kiara said but her sister shook her head at that.

"Then how come you're coming along anyway if you don't believe in ghosts?..."Kiki asked as she kept at it.

Megan nodded.

"Yeah, she's got you there. Besides, there's no way I'm missing this..."The little blonde girl said, being stubborn.

"And there's no way I'm letting you two do something crazy that will get me in trouble..."Andy said to her.

"Me either..."Kiara added.

Before they could say anything else to convince them to give this ghost hunt up, the children suddenly heard weird noises down the hall that got their attention.

Andy gulped upon hearing them.

"Um...not that I believe in ghosts or anything...but...what will we do if we actually see a ghost?..."He asked in worry at the thought of it.

The little girls just said this.

"We'll help him move on. Duh..."Kiki said as she walked down the hall.

"Yeah..."Megan said as she followed her.

Andy and Kiara saw this and didn't like this.

"Hold on, let's think about this!..."Andy shouted as he went after them.

"Hey! Kiki! Megan! Come back here!..."Kiara shouted as she ran after her sister and her friend.

The little sisters didn't listen to them as they kept following the noises coming from the end of the hall but saw nothing.

"It's the ghost!..."Kiki said as she looked around to find the source of the noise.

"Oh man, Kiki..."Megan said, still following her.

Andy looked around and saw nothing. He is glad about that before turning to his little sister and her friend.

"See Megan? There's no ghost..."Andy said.

"Yeah, that noise was probably just a boarder or something..."Kiara said. "Now, why don't turn back right now and go back to Andy's dad's old room. Maybe we can watch a movie or something..."She suggested.

Andy was about to agree but then they all heard that weird noise again. The kids were startled and noticed that it was coming downstairs now.

"Those funny noises are coming from down there..."Megan whispered as she pointed.

"See, big sister? I told you. It's that ghost, Four Eyed Jack..."Kiki whispered.

Andy looked unnerved at that while Kiara just rolled her eyes.

"Oh, so now everything sounds like Four Eyed Jack!..."She said sarcastically. "There is no ghost, Kiki..."She said.

Kiki frowned at that but before she could say anything, the noises were getting louder.

"You hear that sound?..."Megan whispered and Andy flinched, feeling nervous.

"It's the ghost! Come on..."Kiki said as she went downstairs after it and Megan ran with her.

Andy saw this and felt worried for his sister and Kiki. They might be annoying but he can't just let them run around and get hurt.

Besides, their parents would freak if they got so much as a paper cut.

"Megan! Kiki! Get back here!..."Andy said as he ran after them.

"Come on guys! Please don't run!..."Kiara called as she followed them downstairs.

Downstairs

Kiki, Megan, Andy and Kiara reached the bottoms of the stairs and heard that noise again.

"We're getting closer. I can tell..."Kiki said.

"This is going to be so cool!..."Megan added while her brother, despite his own fears, stood in front of them, just in case something happened.

"I've got a bad feeling about this..."Andy said nervously to Kiara.

"The noises are probably the old pipes or something..."The dark haired girl theorized but flinched when they got louder.

"I'll go first, you guys stay back..."Andy said as he stood in front of them.

The oblong headed boy lead the group to the kitchen, where the noises were coming from. Andy is getting frightened but so are the others, so he chose to keep a brave face.

"Stay close to me..." He said as he kept walking.

Andy and the others walked into the kitchen, looking around but not seeing anything that looked remotely like a ghost, just rain hitting the window that was open and the wind rushed in, meaning someone must have left it open and unintentionally scared the kids.

"Thank goodness, it's just rain..."He thought.

Andy looked relived that there is no ghost, while Kiara was scolding her sister.

"I told you that there is no ghost of Four Eyed Jack in this house..."Kiara said and Kiki looked down.

"Sorry, Kiara I guess I got carried away..."Kiki said, looking down.

"Yes, yes you did..."Kiara said as she crossed her arms.

She was about to head back upstairs with them but something happened.

Suddenly, a nearby window blew open and all the newspaper in the next room flew into the kitchen now and papers were blowing in through the open window.

"W-What's going on, here?!..."Andy said, freaking out as he stood in front of Megan and the other girls.

Kiara and Kiki were huddled together as the papers almost began to form the shape of man for a moment before there was a spark of electricity and they all scattered. The children were frightened now as they wondered what just happened.

"Ghost!..."Megan said, looking scared.

"It's Four Eyed Jack. It's the ghost! ! I told you he was real! I told you!..."Kiki insisted and Kiara shook her head furiously, in denial.

"You two are crazy! I refuse to believe any of this!..."Kiara yelled, denying that there was a ghost.. "Andy, help me out here?..."She turned to her friend, only to see her best friend was shaking a bit.

"Andy?..."Kiara asked and the boy took a moment to answer.

"Uh, right...right...no ghost..."Andy said, looking like he was going to jump out of his skin and run.

Kiara raised a brow at that while their sisters were talking about Four Eyed Jack again.

"We have to do something to make him go away..."Kiki said.

"But how?..."Megan questioned.

While the little girls kept discussing this, Kiara approached her friend, who still looked off.

Andy has always been so confident and fearless but right now, he looks freaked out about something.

"Andy, what's wrong?..."Kiara asked her friend and Andy shook his head.

"Uh, nothing wrong..."Andy said but Kiara didn't buy it.

"Andy, I have known you my whole life and whatever this is, it's not nothing..."Kiara said and the boy sighed.

He knew that she just worried about him and she is too smart to lie to. So, the blonde boy accepted that he had to be honest here. So, he reluctantly confessed but quietly to the girl.

"I...eh...ghost...eh..."Andy mumbled in a quiet way.

"Excuse me?..."Kiara asked.

"I...EH...ghosts..."Andy repeated a little louder but hard to understand.

"Andy, you know that I can't understand you're mumbling..."Kiara said and her friend sighed in exasperation.

"I...I'm afraid...of ghosts..."Andy confessed. "They...they're really creepy...to me..."Andy admitted.

Kiara heard this and saw that he was scared. Really scared.

She also realized that he has been afraid all night, probably since his great grandpa told that story.

"Andy, look...it's okay. Nothings going to happen..."Kiara said, trying to make her best friend feel better.

However, before she could say anything to make him calm down, thunder and lightning from the storm suddenly struck and startled them. The kids then heard those weird noises again and they are louder than ever.

"What was that?..."Andy said as he looked for the source of that noise.

"It must've been the wind or something fell from over there..."Kiara suggested but their sisters made it worse when they rushed to a nearby closet.

"It came from in there..."Megan said as he pointed to the closet door.

Kiki then opened it and heard those noises again. She got in and searched the space, moving stuff out of the way and revealing a secret passage way.

"A secret passage way?..."Kiki said in surprise.

"Why is this here?..."Megan said, walking over as they headed inside.

"Megan..."Andy whined as he followed her and Kiara followed Kiki.

The group of kids were heading down the old steps of the secret passage way, feeling like they were in an old movie and and something mysterious was going to be at the end of the hall.

"This is definitely not what I signed up for..."Andy muttered in dread as he as he continued forward.

"How did we get roped into this?!..."Kiara thought as she stayed close to them.
