Intense Battle Training of Rivalries!
We continue on to all the students dressing in their hero costume and entering the fake city where they met up with All Might who is about ready to start the Hero Training Course, and this training will be about combat.
"Oh, I'm so excited!" Mako said feeling her body shaking up in excitement.
"Now that you're ready, it's time for combat training." All Might declared.
"Sir!" Tenya raised his hand.
"(Oh, so that's Iida under there. He looks so cool.)" Izuku thought commented on Tenya's hero costume.
"(Uh, I feel like I've seen that kind of design before.)" Ryuko thought wondered.
"This is the fake city from our entrance exam. Does that mean we'll be conducting urban battles again?" Tenya asked.
"Yes, I have been wondering about that too." Momo concerned.
"Not quite, I'm going to move you two steps ahead. Most of the villain fights you see on the news take place outside. However, statistically speaking, run-ins with the most dastardly evildoers take place indoors." All Might mentioned.
Izuku grunt knowing that those kinds of villains can be very dangerous in their own way.
"Think about it. Backroom deals, home invasions, secret underground lairs. Truly intelligent criminals stay hidden in the shadows." All Might pointed out.
"(That's right, mom warned about that and how she uses her mind to outthink her enemies back when she used to be a villain.)" Ryuko thought recalled her mom telling her old days.
"For this training exercise, you'll be split into teams of good guys and bad guys and fight two-on-two indoor battles." All Might revealed today's battle training.
"Isn't this a little advance?" Tsuyu asked.
"The best training is what you get on the battlefield! But remember, you can't just punch a robot this time, you're dealing with actual people now." All Might informed everybody.
"Sir, will you be the one deciding who wins?" Momo asked.
"How much can we hurt the other team?" Katsuki asked next, glaring a quick glare from Ryuko.
"Do we need to worry about the losers getting expelled like earlier?" Ochaco worried.
"I'm pretty sure only Mr. Aizawa does that." Mako believed.
"Will you be splitting us up based on chance or comparative skill?" Tenya asked with one hand raise up again.
"Isn't this cape tres chic?" Yuga asked for an opinion on his cape.
"Do we get to eat snacks before and after our fights?" Mako asked.
"I wasn't finish talking." All Might growled and pulled out a little book. "Listen up."
"(A script?)" Izuku thought surprised a bit.
"The situation is this. The villains have hidden a nuclear missile somewhere in their hideout. The heroes must try to foil their plans. To do that, the good guys either have to catch the evildoers or recover the weapon. Likewise, the bad guys succeed if they protect their payload or capture the heroes." All Might explained how the exercise will be like.
"Hey Izuku, doesn't this sound like an action movie set up?" Ryuko asked.
"Yeah, I was thinking the same thing." Izuku nodded.
"Time's limited, and we'll choose teams drawing lots!" All Might revealed a yellow lots box.
"Isn't there a better way?" Tenya asked, not liking to do things in random order.
"Think about it. Pros often have to team up with heroes from other agencies on the spot, so maybe that's the reason we're seeing that here." Izuku pointed out.
"Even my mom teamed up with other Pro Heroes." Ryuko added.
"Yes, I see. Life is a random series of events." Tenya started to see that.
"Forgive my rudeness." Tenya apologized to All Might with a bow.
"No sweat, let's draw!" All Might declared.
Soon, each student reached their hand into the box taking out on a ball with a different single letter on them and each pair that has the same letter will be pair, and that's including Izuku Midoriya and his partner for this exercise is Ryuko Kiryuin.
"You and I are a team now, pretty cool if you ask me." Ryuko smiled.
"Y-Yeah, feeling great about it t-too." Izuku nodded while blushing under his mask.
"(Oh my god, I have to make a good impression on her!)" Izuku thought gasped.
"Okay Ochaco, let's both do our very best to be awesome!" Mako cheered.
"I'm already pump up for this!" Ochaco excited as she cheers with her partner.
"I declare that the first teams to fight will be… these guys!" All Might pulled two balls with the black one has a D, and the white ball has an A.
It was then both Izuku and Katsuki became shocked upon realization they will be fighting each other soon than expected.
"Team A will be the heroes, Team D will be the villains. Everyone else can head to the monitoring room to watch!" All Might informed.
Everyone headed for the monitoring room while the two teams stay behind in the fake city, Izuku looked down nervous before turning his head to Katsuki who send him a scary death-glare which scared the green wearing hero-in-training. But the fear only lasted for a short time when Izuku clenched his fist and look back at Katsuki with strong determination in his eyes which only made Katsuki angry, Ryuko notice the stare exchange feeling a bit worry for Izuku.
"Bad guys, you can go in and get set up. In five minutes, the good guys will be let loose, and the battle will start!" All Might informed the two teams as they agree to that.
"Young Iida, Young Bakugo." All Might said getting their attention before they could enter the building.
"The key to being successful in this challenge is to embody villainy. Think from the perspective of an evildoer. If things go too far, I'll step in." All Might advised.
Katsuki kept looking at Izuku as he is getting himself ready, feeling the anger within raising up before he followed Tenya into the building going to the room where the fake weapon is.
"Even though this is training, it pains me to be aligned with criminal behavior." Tenya expressed as he walks up to the fake missile.
"So, this is the weapon we must protect." Tenya knocked on it a couple of times just to be sure.
"Hey." Katsuki said getting Tenya's attention.
"Do you really think Deku has a Quirk?" Katsuki asked confusing Tenya.
"You saw how he threw that ball though I think his power hurts his body." Tenya remembered how badly hurt Izuku's finger was during Aizawa's Quirk tests. Katsuki just grunt in respond.
"Why is it that you seem to be especially angry when it comes to Midoriya?" Tenya asked curiously but got no respond.
"(Was he seriously just tricking me all these years? I'm gonna roast that damn nerd today!)" Katsuki thought in rage.
(With Izuku and Ryuko)
Ryuko and Izuku are seen looking at the blueprint plan of the building they're about to infiltrate.
"Okay, I think I got most of this building plan down though it's still going to be hard on where to find the weapon. What do you think, Izuku?" Ryuko asked, but shock when she saw her partner sweating through his costume.
"Hey, are you going to be alright?" Ryuko concerned.
"Oh yeah, it just because we're up against Kacchan. Plus, there's Iida too. We should be on our guard, who knows what they'll pull." Izuku stated.
"If you don't mind me asking, has that guy always had it out for you?" Ryuko asked.
"Yeah, we used to be close friends when we were little kids until he got his Quirk, and we grew apart. He's always making fun of me… and he's really amazing." Izuku explained, remembering Katsuki's words of how determine he is of surpassing All Might.
"Seriously? How can you can an idiot like him amazing if he just bullies you like that?" Ryuko puzzled.
"Well, you see I'm actually a late bloomer, my Quirk kicked in after a villain incident 10 months before the entrance exam. For years, Kacchan and some other kids have always picked on me for being weak and Quirkless, but I kept on believing that I could become a hero and never gave up on my dream." Izuku said like there's a spark of fire within his eyes.
"And yes, Kacchan can be a real pain, a shitty pain in the ass, you could say. But his strength and confidence, and his ambition, not to mention his Quirk. They're all so much greater than mine." Izuku admitted.
"(Well, now I know you're not the kind of guy to hold a grudge.)" Ryuko thought and Izuku stands up.
"But that just means I have to do better. I refuse to lose today." Izuku determined as he put his mouth mask on.
Ryuko didn't know why, but she suddenly felt something in her chest is that warm and strong coming off from Izuku almost like he is radiating something pure and strong as she can see how much Izuku wants to prove himself to Katsuki and beat him in a fight.
"Okay, fated rivals going all out on each other sounds pretty cool." Ryuko complimented.
"Oh, not that I'm trying to get you wrapped up in my fight or anything!" Izuku embarrassed a little of what he just said out loud to her.
"No worries, man. We're a team, and that means I support you 100% with every fiber of my being!" Ryuko smirked as she held up her scissors blade pointing at the sky.
Izuku became shocked of how Ryuko is with having a guy like him as his partner and thinking she looks awesome like that; he smiles and feel mentally prepare for the battle.
Then they heard the alarm sound going off.
"All right! Let's begin the indoor combat training! Team A and Team D, your time starts now!" All Might announced.
"Okay, this is it." Ryuko said.
"Yeah, let's go around and sneak into an open window on the second floor." Izuku suggested.
Izuku and Ryuko ran to the right side of the building as they found one open window that leads to the second floor, Ryuko offered to give Izuku a boost to jump at the window which he accepts and managed to get in before the red and black edgy girl came in.
"We're in, that was easy." Ryuko commented.
"Sometimes, getting inside is the easy part which could be a bad sign that things are going to get harder from here on out." Izuku stated.
"Then let's be extra careful." Ryuko said, Izuku nods and the two starts walking through the hallway of the second floor.
They search each door finding them to be empty with no sign of the weapon or the opponent team somewhere on this floor.
"Doesn't look like the weapon is here, let's try the next floor." Ryuko whisper reported as they walk their way to the staircase.
"(I may have some control of One for All, but I can't fully control its awesome power. Plus, I'm still having trouble transferring the power into parts of my body.)" Izuku thought remembered how he uses 5% of One for All during the Quirk tests.
"(So, I can't risk using it now. We'll just have to win with my brain and Ryuko's Life Fiber Infusion Quirk which is almost like my Quirk in a way, but even I know there will come a time when I have to use my Quirk in a fight.)" Izuku thought carefully planned.
"(I took a lot of notes on indoor battles and fighting in tight spaces, I can do this!)" Izuku thought believed.
Then Izuku's instinct kicked in making him look up to see Katsuki jumping out of a concern from another hallway and threw an explosive punch, Izuku quickly turned around to grab Ryuko for both to dodge that strike letting Katsuki attack the wall instead.
"Ryuko, are you okay?" Izuku asked as he looked back to where Katsuki landed.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Dude, your face!" Ryuko worried as she saw half of Izuku's mask destroyed.
"Don't worry, it just my mask." Izuku assured that he is fine.
"What's the matter, Deku? Afraid to stand up and fight me?" Katsuki asked rhetorically.
"I knew you'd come at me first and figured you'd try to catch me by surprise." Izuku said as he and Ryuko stands back up.
(Monitoring Room)
"Whoa, he almost got the jump on them!" Minoru surprised.
"Sneak attack, Bakugo? What kinda man pulls cheap crap like that?" Eijiro disapproved of that.
"It's a viable strategy. He's playing the part, acting like a true villain would." All Might pointed out.
"It didn't work, Midoriya dodged him!" Mina impressed.
"He saved my best friend, Ryuko! Like a green shiny knight saving a demon princess from the soldiers of Heaven!" Mako said in her wild imagination.
"What?" Mashirao confused.
"I think that sounds right." Fumikage nodded.
"Look, he's going for it again!" Denki alerted the others.
(Back at the Building)
"I won't hurt you so bad they'll have to stop the fight. Just close!" Katsuki proclaimed as he is about to throw his right arm again.
Izuku knew that would happen and quickly charges at Katsuki a little faster before he could react and grab his right midway.
"Awesome!" Ryuko amazed.
"(Impossible. How'd he know? He's not that good!)" Katsuki thought shocked.
With all his might, and not using One for All on this, Izuku shoulder throw Katsuki strong and hard hitting his back against the floor causing the exploding boy to gasp in pain.
"Kacchan… You always use a big right hook to start a fight. I know because I've watched you for years." Izuku said as Katsuki slowly gets back up.
"I analyzed every amazing hero, even you. I wanted to learn everything I could about them. It was all in the notebook you burned and threw away." Izuku mentioned as Katsuki growls.
"You can call me Deku, but I'm not the same helpless, defenseless kid anymore! You hear me? I've changed." Izuku believed strongly.
"From now on, Deku is the same of a hero!" Izuku declared with no single regret.
This causes Ryuko's heart to race upon hearing those words from Izuku, that he is going to show his school bully that he will not be push around anymore and will show him the strength of his power and heart, and she also believes that the word "Deku" does sound like a great hero name.
"Deku…" Katsuki said in a low tone, remembering the time when they were little kids.
"If you keep hurting him, then I'll stop you myself!"
The imagine of the little Deku replace with the older and now present Deku right in front of him with his body shaking a little almost like back then.
"You're shaking in your boots, you're so scared. But you wanna fight me anyway." Katsuki growled and explosions emits from his hands.
"THAT'S WHY I HATE YOU!" Katsuki shouted in rage.
"Bakugo, come in! Give me a status report. Where are you?" Tenya asked through the earpiece Katsuki is wearing right now.'
"Just shut up and defend the weapon. I got more important things to worry about." Katsuki responded angry and hung up on his partner.
"(Radio earpiece, just like me and Izuku. That means he must've talked to Iida just now, which means those two aren't working together like Izuku predicted.)" Ryuko thought smirked.
"Hey Deku, I'm gonna go on ahead to find Iida and the weapon." Ryuko informed her partner.
"Go, I got Kacchan." Izuku said.
Immediately after he said that Katsuki launched himself fast throwing a left swing kick which he blocks it with his arms.
"I'll let you know the location as soon as I get it!" Ryuko shouted before running to the staircase.
"Ballsy move. Think you can take me alone?" Katsuki asked, then notice something around his leg.
"(He's using the capture tape!)" Katsuki thought surprised.
"(Hero notebook number ten, page 18! Luckily, I got to see Eraser Head's moves in action!)" Izuku thought recalled how Aizawa used his capture cloth on Katsuki yesterday.
Izuku decided to use the 5% of One for All into his arms as he quickly grabs Katsuki's leg and swing his opponent's body slamming onto a wall.
"Damn you… Deku!" Katsuki yelled.
"(Let see what Kacchan will do now.)" Izuku thought prepared himself.

The combat training has begun starting with Izuku and Ryuko vs Katsuki and Tenya as things become intense when the green young hero is facing his exploding bully and have already shown his growth in strength and spirit.
