"Girl, what did he want?"
Marinette turned to her BFF, with a smile that could light up all of Paris.
"Oh Adrien? He just asked me out, and I said yes! Can you believe it?"
"WHAT?!"
Marinette and Alya turned around to see Kagami there, a frown on her face, and some tears threating to fall.
"K-kagami" Said Marinette turning white, "I-" Kagami interrupted her
"Save it. I thought you were my friend! And aren't you dating Luka?"
Marinette gulped, "We were but we broke up"
"When?" Kagami asked glaring at Marinette
"A few hours ago?"
Alya gasped "Wait, you're telling me that you broke up with Luka because Adrien was suddenly available?"
"W-what? NO! I would never do that!" Marinette looked helplessly at Kagami, hoping that she would help her out, or at least give her some mercy.
Kagami never liked to give people a second chance to redeem themselves. To her giving someone a second chance was like giving someone another bullet to shoot you with when they missed the first time.
"What was your reason to break up with Luka?" Kagami asked her voice wavering. She thought Marinette couldn't get any paler, but after the question left her mouth, she found out she was wrong.
"I- uh… you see" Marinette gave up and hung her head. "Fine you caught me. Me and Adrien were secretly dating for about a month now."
Alya gasped, and Kagami zoned out. Recalling on how she and Adrien first met, when he asked her out, when he surprised her with the house… Kagami snapped out of it when she heard Marinette and Alya fighting
"It's called cheating Marinette!" exclaimed Alya glaring at her
"I know!" She snapped back "You are always on her side! I loved Adrien for so long and you always took her side when they started dating. You took her side when I got akumatized!"
"Probably because you were never dating Adrien and were dating Luka at the time!"
"Yeah, but the only reason-" Marinette stopped when she saw Alya put up her hand like a stop sign.
"enough. Marinette, I don't want to do this, but I don't want to be friends with you if you're going to lie, and hurt others"
Marinette gasped "B-but I didn't mean to lie and hurt Kagami! Alya believe me!"
"Cheating isn't an accident, Marinette it's a choice. You hurt Kagami, and I bet you hurt Luka to."
Marinette was crying, Alya was talking to her in a low voice like how you talk to a little kid when they did something bad, and Kagami was just standing there watching the whole thing unfold… in her and Alya's favor.
"A-alya… please!" begged Marinette looking at her former friend
Alya turned her back and looked over her shoulder
"Next time think about your actions and how they affect other's before you do something like that"
