"I will answer any question you have." Korra faced Asami's glare head on, "and I promise, this time it's the whole truth." Seeing the non bender's eyes still full of hesitation, the avatar continued, "you're the very person who knows who I really am. I have no choice but to trust you."

"I want to know the whole story, how you get to where you are."

"OK. I was born in the Southern Water Tribe, my dad was the Chief. My parents were killed by a group of people led by my uncle when I was 5. That was the first time I bloodbend. Nobody knew I was the avatar, and I wanted to keep it that way. I was brought up and taught by Katara, from her I learnt waterbending and healing." The avatar sipped her cup of morning tea, it was already midday to be accurate, they passed out as soon as they arrived at her house. Until they were woken by her concerned assistant, who couldn't find the Grand Boss at their meeting. "In fact, the water bending I used to defeat Amon was inspired from water healing, just in reverse. Healing has to do with opening up the chi channels of the human body, also known as chakras, what I did instead was blocking the channel, which paralyzes the person. Anyway, she also told me her stories about her encounter with the first bloodbender Hemma. I practiced bloodbending on every full moon in secret."

"You grew up during the Civil War?"

"Yes. Well, it wasn't exactly civil, the Earth Kingdom invaded a couple of our islands near the northern border, you know."

"How did you learn fire and earth bending?"

"My parents told me I could bend all the elements except air since I was 3. So all I needed to do is to refine my skills. The first element I decided to learn after water was fire, I messed around the order on purpose to avoid the White Lotus's attention. I left home for the Fire Nation, learnt the basics from the local triads. Until I turned them in and got a place to study at the Royal Academy, I became very interested in the techniques perfected by Ozai and Azula, the most deadly firebenders in the history. Quick and powerful lightning generation and fuelling firebending with rage. That's how I got my signature white flame, it burns hotter; well, not as effective as the blue flames of Azula the Crazy Princes, but good enough to kill Lighting Bolt Zolt and rule the triads." Korra continued, "Went to the Earth… whatever it was called at that time, when I was 15. Joined the army and learnt my earthbending and metalbending there." she seemed to avoid telling a lot of details with her time spent in the region now known as Earth Republic.

"That's 2 years after Hou Ting's assassination… why would you go there in the middle of that mess?"

"Fighting is the best way to perfect the skills. I even got into Suyin's Special Forces, trained by herself. She also happens to be a sandbending master. So I learnt sandbend as well."

"You didn't come to be the one responsible for the Special Forces commander's Platinum arm, did you?" The nonbender suggested, failing her attempt to hold back her smile, she already knew the answer.

"You already know, Miss Sato." Korra smirked, and responded half-jokingly," wiping out a whole dispatch of the 'Great Uniter's' most invested military division, and handicapping her stepdaughter? That's definitely gonna hurt the ego."

"Why on earth would you choose to mess with a Beifong? They're NOT exactly the people you want to mess with, even if you're the avatar." Asami look at her as if she was the crazy princess in the Hundred Year War.

"Suyin was one of the generals who launched the invasion against my home during the Civil War," replied the avatar, her voice calmer than ever but her eyes filled with rage, "and she will pay. That's partially the reason why I decided to left the Earth Republic for Republic City 2 years ago, when I was 17. If we have control over the United Republic, we are also in command of the United Forces, the most versatile army on this planet." Korra stretched her body, stood up from the chair, "Miss Sato, can I trust you to keep this conversation a secret?" After many years, she would still say it was the biggest gamble she took in her life.

Asami's facial expression remained funny for a while. Too much information, she needed time to digest. But the young CEO made a decision, from now on she will see the traid boss as her friend, if not for the fact that Korra just saved her life last night, for the honesty she had shown for revealing her whole story. She faced the eyes of the patiently waiting avatar, "yes," she said, "you have my promise."

"Good. I invite you to join our meeting this afternoon. I have the whole vision to share with you."
