-Roswaal's Mansion-

Y/N woke up with a yawn, he noticed that he wasn't wearing his usual clothes and that he isn't at the usual fruit stand. He sat up and checked the wound on his belly, which was bandaged. He scratched his head and touched the wound, he winced as he felt a slight pain "I totally thought I'd die right there, but I guess I was just lucky. Now, where is my suit..."

He looked around the room, it was very clean and wide. It was a room only the rich people could afford. The door suddenly opened, and a maid with white hair entered the room with a tray of foods. As she saw Y/N widely awake, her face was filled with shock. She wasn't the only one in shock though, as Y/N's face is filled with shock too.

"Bianka...?" Y/N asked out of nowhere

"Huh?" The maid said

"Nothing, how long was I asleep?" He asked the maid, who placed the tray on the nightstand right beside the bed.

"You were asleep for a day, sir"

'About for a day, huh...Tsk, I missed a lot of shit' He said as he sighed.

"Please wait here for a moment, let me call Emilia-sama" The maid walked out of the room, leaving the wounded boy in silence.

"...Alright, I'm running out of patience" He smelled something good and looked at the tray. There was only a hot bowl of soup and some bread, Y/N ate all of it in mere seconds without any hesitation and licked his lips "Still not as good as Sōma's cooking, I'd say it's average"

Y/N got out from the bed and used the slippers he found in the room, he exited the bedroom and explored the mansion. As he kept walking, he looked at the painting of a forest right next to a door. He got a closer look and inspected it.

"Who would paint something like thi-" He didn't finish as he was called out by the white-haired maid.

"Ah! Didn't I tell you to wait?"

"You were taking too long, buddy" He asked, the maid stepped aside as Satella approached Y/N

"Greetings, I believe we haven't introduced ourselves yet. My name is Emilia, no last name" Maybe not Satella, but Emilia.

"My name is Y/N Adler, a pleasure to meet you. Now that the introductions are out of the way...Where are we?"

"Ah, we are at the Mathers Mansion. Thank you for saving me earlier yesterday" Emilia said as she bowed.

"Actually, I was supposed to be the one thanking you for letting me sleep here, even if it's only for a day" 'Can't believe I'm talking to a Hybrid, I have to only endure it for now' Y/N thought "Say, where's Subaru right now?"

"He's working around the mansion as we speak"

'Wait what?' He looked at Emilia as if she's joking

"It's true! Earlier during lunch, the owner of the mansion Roswaal asked Subaru what he wanted, he said that he wanted to work here as a butler"

"Oh...Also, where's my suit?"

"Oh, about that, Rem and Ram tried to fix your suit, you probably never met them, right?"

Y/N: 'They better fix that suit' After that, Emilia told us that I have to meet up with Roswaal, the owner of this mansion. As we reached our destination, the maid knocked on the door and opened it for the both of us. Emilia thanked her and we entered his office. There, a man with makeup sat on a chair while holding papers. He noticed they were there and greeted them.

"Welcome, Emilia-sama, Lacina-san, Y/N-kun"

'Is he really the owner of this mansion? He looks like a goddamn clown' Y/N cleared his throat and spoke "Hello, you are sir Roswaal, correct?"

"That is correct, there's no need to be polite with me. Emilia-sama, Lacina-san, will you wait outside while we talk?"

Emilia and Lacina, the maid, nodded and exited his office "Now, Y/N-kun, I heard that you and Subaru saved Emilia and helped her return the insignia. I am very grateful for you and Subaru's actions"

"Uhuh, So, anyway I heard Elsa called me a Kirn Ta, what's that?"

"I'm afraid I can't tell you. Emilia told me about your affinity for fire and how powerful the spells you used, is that true?"

"Uh, yeah?"

"Y/N-kun, I have a offer for you. Would you like to stay here as a permanent guest? You and Subaru are friends correeeeect?"

"Well, yeah we are"

"So, wouldn't it be better to stay here? You two could see each other more here than to leave. We could also give you protection. You may not know it, but I'm the strongest mage around here and the maids are also capable of protecting themselves. And I or someone else here in the mansion can tutor you on magic"

'Well, I really don't need protection, but I do need a place to sleep' He thought "I'll decline on your tutor offer, I already have one, he's at Lugnica right now. I accept your other offer, under these conditions"

"What may that be?"

"One, tell them to not enter my room unless it's really important. Second, I want to work here as a butler, I won't be just sitting here, I want to do something. And lastly, the suit stays"

"That can be arranged"

"I see. Well then, I'll be in your care" Y/N said as he bowed slightly.

"Oh, you don't have to bow down to me, Y/N-kun. From now on, we'll take care of each other, right?" Y/N nodded.

' Y'know, offering a stranger to stay in this house, he's pretty kind. But I can't shake off the feeling that there's something off about him'

'I agree' Alternate said

"One last thing, Y/N-kun. Don't ever tell anyone about you being a Kirn Ta, understand?"

"Yes, sir, scout's promise"

-The next day-

After Rem gave Y/N his suit, he immediately wore it. He turned around and looked at Rem.

"What do you think?" Rem looked at him with her blank expression.

"...Cute" She muttered.

"What?" Rem didn't answer and toured Y/N around the mansion, except for some places that are highly restricted 'What the fuck, I didn't know the mansion is this big, I remembered only like, a small portion of it' He thought "Look, memorizing the mansion is really fucking hard, doesn't Roswaal have any maps or something?"

"There are no maps currently, but I could ask sir Roswaal to make one for you"

"Well, thanks"

"If there are no more questions left to ask, today, you will help me with my tasks, Y/N-san" I nodded as I followed Rem to where she was going. Y/N felt the urge to yell 'Rem is fake tasking! Sus!' But Y/N didn't do it as he doesn't want the people here to think of him as a weirdo

'Household chores can't be that hard, I can ace this one'

-The next day-

"Aaaah, what the fuck" Y/N said as he laid down on his bed, with all of his body aching and sore, someone knocked on his door and Y/N sighed "Jesus Christ, I just laid down. Can't ya'll just let me rest?" He stood up and opened the door slightly so that he can only be seen and not what the things inside "What do you want?"

"I'm here to deliver the rest of the outfits"

"Look, I don't need another one, I'm okay with just this, I can wash it myself too"

"I see, just take these clothes just in case yours gets torn apart"

"Alright alright, let me have them" Lacina handed Y/N the extra clothes "Now, is that all?" She nodded "Now if you will excuse me, I'll get some fucking shut eye" he said as he shut the door in front of her face.

'He's so rude and vulgar, I wonder why sir Roswaal let him stay here' Lacina thought

-Jesus Christ, so many timeskips-

The next morning came by, and all of us, except for Lacina, were in the kitchen preparing breakfast. My wounds also got healed up.

"You know Subaru, thank you for trying protecting me from Elsa while I was injured. I might as well call you as a real friend"

Subaru: "R-really?" Subaru tried to slice a potato, but ended up wounding himself instead "Ow!"

"You may get full marks on sewing, but you are still useless with a knife, Barusu" The pink-haired maid said, who Y/N guessed is Ram.

"You can sew?" Y/N asked

"Yeah, mom taught me how to do it" He said as he put his finger on his mouth.

"That's very disgusting, Barusu. Wash your hand after you suck your finger" Ram said as he stepped away from Subaru a little bit

"As always, you make such a lovely image while peeling those vegetables, sister" Rem complimented

"Your bias so blatant, it's almost comforting! I'd like a comment on my work too!"

"Anyways, Subaru, is your mom hot? How big is the ass and the boobs?" Y/N said as he had a blank expression on his face. Subaru looked at Y/N weirdly.

"How can you say that with that look without even smiling or blushing?!" He said as he went back to cutting potatoes, but alas, he wounded himself again "It sliced through me!" Y/N just shook his head and smiled. It seems he isn't the only dumbass in this mansion

-Timeskip, Next Day-

Y/N woke up in a yawn and rubbed his eyes. He tried to get out of the bed but groaned as his body was aching and was sore. Lacina, who was at the opposite side of the room, noticed that Y/n is awake

"Oh, it seems you're awake. Don't move too much, you were unconscious for a day. I heard you almost died to Elsa yesterday"

'Yesterday?' His eyes widened as he realized something 'Don't tell me Subaru fucking died' he thought "Hey, uh, quick question"

"What is it?"

"Have I began working here as a butler?"

"No, you didn't, sir. Like I said, you were unconscious for a day"

'Yup, there's no denying it. Subaru fucking died, wonderful' Y/N said sarcastically

"Please drink your soup and eat the bread, you have been unconscious for a day after all. Now if you will excuse me, sir, I shall go fetch Emilia-sama" She closed the door, leaving him in silence and all alone with a soup.

"...Might as well eat" He sight and picked up a spoon and began consuming the food in the tray "...This shit sucks"
