YJ/Harry Potter drabble PT. 4

They flew in silence, Robin and Artemis checking their gear, Kid Flash munching on a powerbar, Wolf sitting behind Superboy who along Aqualad were staring out the window. Harry, also know as Arcane, was seated behind Artemis, his arms crossed, his eyes shut in concentration. Miss Martian had her hands on the two orbs that controlled the Bio-Ships flight. The silenve was broken when Kid Flash finally asked "What's in the duffle?" indicating the bag next to Aqualad.
"Plan B" Aqualad spoke in a calm, quiet and serious voice.
Miss Martian gave a groan and had to raise a hand to her head in a sudden bout of dizziness. "You okay?" Superboy spoke up in concern.
"Dizzy" Miss Martian replied in confusion.
Robin raised an eyebrow, turning to look at Miss Martian "Martians get airsick?"
"Well, she is looking a bit more green than usual" Kid Flash threw in to lighten the mood.
Miss Martian shook her head "Not me, her" the rest of the team turned to Artemis who was as confused as the rest as she spoke "I feel fine"
Miss Martian continued "Not her, the Bio-Ship. She's trying to shield us, but-" They suddenly started going wildly from side to side as Miss Martian tried to keep the ship in control. Suddenly they noticed the telltale shimmer of them losing their ships cloaking ability. As they flew close to the ground they had a moment of spotting three men on the ground as they passed. Each was staring at the ship. Arcane had a moment to recognize at least two of the people as his eyes widened.
"Miss Martian, eject me!" He shouted and Miss Martian didn't hesitate, Arcane being the only other one on the team capable of aerial combat. As he was thrown out of the ship, he took half a moment to re-orient himself in the air and activate his boots of flying, but was too late as Black Adam punched the Bio-Ship away, sending it into a spin and in to the swamps below. As Black Adam took after the ship, Arcane tried to intercept, but was blocked by orange beams, trying to pierce him. He turned to face Wotan, the ancient viking sorcerer.
"Hello, boy" Wotan spoke as his hands started to glow with magical power.
Arcane could only sigh as he made a few finger movements and spell seals manifested in preparation "Why always 'boy' or 'kid'? Why not 'sentinel' or something like that."
"Because objectively, a boy is what you are" Wotan spoke, raising his hands and sending multiple beams of orange energy at Arcane, who used the boots he was wearing to almost skate away from the blasts, riding the air currents like he was on a sappy Sunday date, trying to show off.
Wotan gave grunt as he summoned lightning with a crackle of thunder. Arcane responded, by throwing his own lightning blast, the two cancelling each other with a loud boom.
"Annoying" Wotan uttered and then brought his hands together in a prayer like motion, and as he drew the apart multiple fireballs were created in the wake of the hands. The fireballs didn't take long to shoot at Arcane, who grabbed something from his belt, crushing it in his hand and then blowing the crushed object as dust at the fireballs, freezing them in the air. As the frost lingered, Arcane brought the hand that had a spell seal forth in a rotating motion and exclaimed "Hyoga Seiran" as the remaining frost glowed and shot a veritable wave of ice at Wotan. The older magic user wiped the air with glowing hands, creating a bubble of orange energy to protect himself. The magical ice surrounded Wotan, but after a moment cracked as Wotans bubble expanded outwards with explosive force.
Before Wotan could do anything more, he spotted that Arcane had already prepped his next spell. The spell seal glowed a green light as Arcane muttered "Gaki Rekko", shooting multiple green colored beams at Wotan in a wide area.
"Fine I'll play with you, boy. Danku" suddenly there was a shift in front of Wotan and a translucent wall was created. The beams hitting the wall were nullified, their energy dispersed.
Arcane however didn't have the time to do more, as he was suddenly thrown off to the side as his arm instinctively rose to protect his head and neck from a blow as Black Adam crashed in to his side with a punch. The punch hurt, but he managed to right himself in the air.
"Damn" Arcane uttered as the two villains flew over him, then they were descending upon him in great speed and Arcane had only one thought as he raised his glowing hands to face off with the villains 'This is going to hurt'.
The Team, not counting Robin and Miss Martian were in a magical cage created by Wotan. Count Vertigo was standing on top of the cage, hitching a ride and Black Adam carrying the cage. They decided to not take any chances and had created a magical mask to prevent Arcane speaking and seeing alongside shackles that kept his hand locked in place in front of him. They even made gloves tight enough, so he couldn't move his fingers.
Aqualad had already examined the bindings on their magical expert, coming to the conclusion they needed to disrupt Wotans concentration to free Arcane. His lightning, while magical in nature wasn't strong enough to affect the bindings and had more of a chance to only hurt Arcane.
"You're certain this will hold them?" Vertigo spoke.
Wotan nodded "The cage is impenetrable. The only one who'd have a chance of getting out is the magician, but we took precautions with him."
Aqualad growled "You and he are not the only ones trained in the mystic arts, Wotan." Aqualads runic markings glowed as he crated electricity and tried to break the cage with brute strength and magical energy, only getting backlash and smoking skin as the energy was reflected back.
Wotan looked on amused "Please, Atlantian. Do not pretend you're in our league."
Suddenly the Bio-Ship hit Wotan from behind and the sorcerer was sent flying into the swamp-waters below. As he hit the water, the cage and bindings disappeared and the whole team came aware, they were plummeting towards the ground, but their reaction time and training saved them as they mage somewhat rough landing in to the marsh in front of the Villains base. Arcane took the chance to fly up to a vantage point. He saw Superboy and Wolf engaging Ultra-Humanite and an unarmed Artemis and Aquala facing against Poison Ivy. He decided to mess with Ivy first by summoning flaming arrows to rain on her plants. He then turned to face Black Adam who flew up to him. Arcane knew he wasn't one for direct physical combat so he clapped his hands together, making five small beams shoot upwards in to the air as he spoke "Gochutekkan" as suddenly five pillars mad of iron crashed into Black Adam from the sky, pinning him to the ground the continuing to speak "Sllaw fo nori dnas, a yltseirp adogap, gniwolg dalcnori seilferif. Gnidnats thgirpu, tnelis ot eht dne." With each word spoken, the pillars seemed to glow.
Suddenly an explosion rocked the landscape as the top of the base they were fighting outside of exploded in fire. For a moment silence reigned as everyone spotted Robin and Miss Martian standing by the destroyed plant and Robin seemed to say something Arcane couldn't hear this far.
As Ivy let out a roar to attack Robin and Miss Martian with plants, Black Adam gave his own roar of "Shazam" as lightning came down from the skies, hitting the pillars pinning him, destroying them and taking up to the sky to attack Arcane once more, but suddenly veered off course to engage Superboy and Arcane found out why as an Arcane blast threw him to the sky as Wotan had finally gotten back into the fight.
Arcane responded by sending his own blast at Wotan, but the more experienced magical engaged him with one hand, while attacking the rest of the Team with lightning. Arcane continued to hammer at Wotans defenses when he was suddenly hit by a blast from Atomic Skull and Count Vertigos abilities that threw his focus to all hell. He erected as many defensive layers as he could but by now, the villains were free to attack as one since the Team was occupied by Wotans lightning. He was fighting magical blast from Wotan, trying to throw binding spells at Black Adam, dodging Atomic Skull as best he could, while trying not to throw up from his inner ear feeling like it was out to sea somewhere, all while doing this while flying. It was not going well, he couldn't get an offensive spell in and was focusing so much on defense he was thinking of using Fienfyre as a last resort if this kept up. There were other spells that could do even more damage in shorter time but he wasn't fond of using those.
Suddenly Wotan stopped his assault on the Team, making Arcane turn to see what was happening. Aqualad was holding the Helmet of Fate. So, this was plan B. Kid Flash tried to prevent Aqualad from donning the helmet, but got knocked to the side by Black Adam, who came back down to keep the Team from regrouping.
Then a flash of light as Aqualad donned the Helmet and there stood Doctor Fate in all his glory. The Lord of Order didn't hesitate t take to the air to face Wotan. As the Sorcerer Supreme came to float in the air he spoke in a mixed voice "Wotan, you are mine." and the slashed, with Wotan getting easily beaten back and shackled with magic. Unfortunately ,Wotan didn't give up and supplemented his magic with incantations and the two started to throw around magic on an intimidating scale. At this point Arcane was facing against Atomic Skull, the two being unfortunately equal, as Atomic Skulls blasts were wide ranged an Arcanes mobility was limited.
Suddenly the Justice league arrived, taking the pressure off and making the villains back down in the face of superior numbers. As the League and the Team surrounded the villains Batman spoke calmly "It's over"
Vertigo seemed chagrinned and responded with the always classic "There will be another day" which Joker seemed to take personally "Another day? Another day?! There won't be another day! Not for any of us!" The insane clown then raised his hands, wiggling his fingers and roots rose from the swamp, with pods on the exploding in Joker venom spores. Batman quickly commanded no-one to breathe as he rushed to knock out Joker, but the spores were fast approaching. Before Arcane could get an air spell going Doctor Fate rose to the air, creating a giant ankh from energy that sucked in the spores, protecting everyone there. After the cloud was sucked away completely Fate exclaimed "Fate has intervened." The rest there watched on in silence as Arcane spoke to Kid Flash "Gods, tell me I didn't speak like that when I put it on"
As the villains were hauled off, Doctor Fate looked at Arcane who stared at the Helmet of Fate. "Let him go Nabu" Arcane spoke calmly. Doctor Fate stood there like a statue, then rose his hands an lifted the Helmet off.
As Aqualad stood there, the Helmet in his hands the Atlantian spoke "He almost didn't let me go. But your 'gramps' was most helpful. He said 'Hello. There are some cookies from Inza hidden in my room and at the Hall of Justice. The recipe is hidden in the book of unspeakable evil' Whatever that means" Arcane gave a wry smile, staring at the helmet. 'The book of unspeakable evil, huh. Third grade math was never so bad gramps.'
They got told they did a magnificent job and Batman gave them a glowing review. He actually said they did a satisfactory job. That's basically like getting told you performed flawlessly in a videogame.
