A/N: Again, "Bad ass female fighter" gave me the idea of Myoga trying to save Inuyasha from the big bad Sesshomaru lmao Inuyasha looks around five or six years in age. In the training chapter after this one, Inuyasha is far older, he looks like an eight year old.

Thanks for reading!

Inuyasha rarely interacted with anyone outside of his elder brother, Aunt Kimi, and his teacher, Takehiro.

Sure, there were visitors who greeted him when they visited his brother, but they ignored him real quick. The same went to the children who visited the castle or whose parents worked for his brother. They didn't say anything too mean, not after his elder brother spoke to their parents.

Inuyasha was used to his small circle of adults. They were safe. All of them saw past his half demon status and didn't put him down for his human blood. Unlike the other demons who muttered about him being a half demon under their breath, his brother brought it up during conversations. He tended to point out that he surpassed his weaknesses and adjusted his training for improvements.

Which was why it was odd when a flea demon approached him, claiming he knew Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's father. He never heard of a demon named Myoga who served his father. His brother didn't speak of their father's vassals, not seeing the point of talking about them.

Inuyasha almost left the flea, but he was bored.

He needed something to do before his brother left his office to track him down for lunch.

Besides, the flea was in distress and Inuyasha thought he might be able to help him.

"Please, believe me, Master Inuyasha!" Myoga cried out. "You are not safe here. You have to run away and never return."

Inuyasha crouched down and tilted his head to the side. "Why? I live here. Am I in danger or something?"

"Yes!" Myoga said. "Lord Sesshomaru is a dangerous demon. He will kill you once day when you least expect it."

Inuyasha wrinkled his nose. "Aniki? No. He wouldn't hurt me. I mean...I heard from Aunt Kimi that he killed all the demons who wanted to hurt me."

Myoga spasmed after Inuyasha's answer. "No! That cannot be! Lord Sesshomaru is a soulless demon who detests half demons. He will kill you when he grows bored of you or finds a reason to be angry. You can't trust him."

Inuyasha reacted with his anger in the forefront. He lifted his hand and slammed it onto the flea. Over and over again. Furious that someone who knew their father would insult his first son.

Inuyasha slammed his hand onto the flea with a scream. "Aniki is not bad! He is the best demon in the world!"

Myoga yelped with each slam of Inuyasha's hand. He tried explaining himself, but Inuyasha kept on hitting him with his tiny, but strong hand. He tried not to make a noise, attempting to make himself unimportant so Inuyasha lost interest.

He wanted to live another day.

At some point, Inuyasha stopped. Either from tiring himself out or because something else caught his eye. When Myoga opened an eye, he saw Inuyasha smiling in another direction. The child stood up on his feet, waving his arms up in excitement.

"Aniki!" Inuyasha bellowed out in delight.

Myoga flattened himself down onto the ground. Faking his death might save him from Sesshomaru's swift whip of light. Although, this meant Inuyasha would get taken away by Sesshomaru. Myoga's access to the castle was taken away when Sesshomaru took the mantle. Meaning, he needed to sneak around for the chance to speak to Inuyasha.

Away from Sesshomaru's line of sight.

He wasted his chance and Inuyasha wouldn't listen to him.

Sesshomaru's overwhelming demonic aura filtered through the air. Myoga trembled from the intensity. Memories of Lord Touga's demonic aura caused him to reminisce of the battles he saw from a distance. Lord Touga was beyond compare. He was far more powerful than his eldest son, but Sesshomaru's aura was cold in intensity.

Almost suffocating to experience when Sesshomaru released his perfect control.

Myoga was stunned to notice Inuyasha didn't bear his neck in submission or whined in fear. He kept a smile on his face. Inuyasha was on his feet, not at all affected by his elder brother's demonic aura.

It appeared Inuyasha was naïve of the danger of living with Sesshomaru. Poor pup.

"Look, big brother!" Inuyasha pointed to the squished flea demon on the ground. "I defeated a demon!"

Sesshomaru peered down. Unsurprised to catch Myoga attempting to sneak around his lands. Sure, he was a useful spy for his father, but he acquired his own spies to relay information. He didn't need his father's previous vassals to do this bidding. They were antiquated and set in their ways.

"Master Inuyasha, please, listen to me!" Myoga stopped faking his death, attempting to persuade Inuyasha to his side. "Lord Sesshomaru will only lead you to your death -" He froze at the death stare he received from Sesshomaru and Inuyasha.

Inuyasha snapped. "Aniki would never do that to me! Maybe, maim me a bit during training, but I have grown stronger every time we train together. I'm going to show everyone that I am worthy of being my father's son."

Myoga dared to look toward Sesshomaru whose seemed to show his death.

"You dare step onto my lands, spewing such slander against this Sesshomaru's name? To attempt to lure your master away from the confines of his home?" Sesshomaru made no move to walk toward Myoga, the flea was cowed, almost kissing the dirt beneath his body. "Tell me, Myoga. How would Inuyasha survive outside of this castle?"

Myoga opened his mouth to speak, but struggled to find an answer.

His whole mission was to convince Inuyasha to run away from Sesshomaru. After all, he was certain that Sesshomaru made Inuyasha's life a living hell. Inuyasha was a representation of his demon father and human mother's relationship. A concept Sesshomaru surely found distaste in. A majority of demon kind saw half demons as abominations.

But, Inuyasha was unharmed.

He appeared happy and healthy. Inuyasha showed immense trust in the most dangerous demon that roamed the lands. A demon who killed without remorse in order to surpass his own strength and his late father's power. Sesshomaru was selfish and self serving. He cared about no one but himself.

Yet, Sesshomaru brought Inuyasha into his home, tending to him without disgust or resentment. He almost seemed to care for Inuyasha.

But, Myoga wasn't convinced.

Sesshomaru helped no one unless it benefitted him. He possibly hid Inuyasha in the castle to avoid hearing the rumors about his late father's disgrace in bedding a human woman. Even if Lady Izayoi was a princess, she was weak human who ruined her son's prospects in their world.

Not that hiding Inuyasha did anything to stop the rumors from spreading.

Which was how he discovered Inuyasha was still alive.

Multiple demons of all walks of life gossiped about Sesshomaru's sudden sense of empathy for his weak younger brother. They cackled over the fact that Sesshomaru fell into the same weakness as his late father. Sesshomaru was weak.

Those rumors ceased when Sesshomaru slaughtered them all and displayed their corpses outside of his castle perimeter.

Sesshomaru continued. "I will explain it to you in simple terms. Inuyasha would die."

Myoga shivered at the image of Inuyasha's dead body. "No..."

"Without guidance, he will not know how to navigate the world. He is a pup, Ignorant of the dangers outside castle grounds." Sesshomaru motioned to the forest that surrounded them. "You cannot protect him from less than unsavory beings who wish him harm. He is safer here. For now."

Inuyasha nodded his head. "See?!" He wrapped his arms around Sesshomaru's waist, insisting. "Aniki, you're the best demon ever! Don't listen to that mean old flea. He is wrong."

Sesshomaru breathed through his nose. "This Sesshomaru is not offended by baseless claims." He tweaked Inuyasha's ears before he picked him up. Ignoring Myoga, Sesshomaru walked toward the direction of the castle. "We are late for lunch."

The end.
