After killing all the Titans, they went into the forest to use their 3D maneuver easily. They secure the place they would stay for a while, before they continue to venture towards the old castle in the west.

"Higurashi"

"Yes Captain Levi"

"How did you know that there were two abnormal Titans going towards us, when none of us saw them earlier?"

Lost in words, Kagome tried to think of another reason for it or she would expose her identity.

"I wonder what alibi you will say to me? Don't fucking lie to me, Higurashi"

"N-no sir, it's because I've noticed the rocks on the floor tremble as I also noticed that the sound of footsteps grew and I deduce the two shadows I've seen and notify you sir!"

"Sounds like a fucking alibi, I will tell this to Commander Erwin ,and you will be investigated for it"

"Yes, Captain Levi"

Feeling hopeless with the situation, Kagome nodded, she could only comply with Levi about the procedure she will undergo.

'I can't say it, I'm afraid if they'll ever know it, they might surrender me to the Military Police. Kagome you can do this, prove to them you are human'

After resting, Levi told his men to prepare for the departure, when they hop on their respective horses and journey to the west.

Arriving at their destination, they saw half of the castle intact while the walls were destroyed. However, the southwest tower together with the Keep is still standing. They immediately hop off the saddle, and secure the horses to the stable available.

Levi gave orders to his members and went inside the Keep to start cleaning up the floors. Eld and Olou were assigned to the room at the basement, while Kagome together with Petra, Gunther, and Levi cleaned up the 2nd floor. Finally, they all finish cleaning up the rooms and floor they will occupy.

Sighing, Kagome was called by Petra to gather around as their Captain gave them another task.

"Petra, I want you to get all the ingredients for the food together with Eld"

Yes, Captain"

"Higurashi, you will come with me to check the parameter. While Gunther and Olou, you are assigned to check around the castle, gather all the necessary items we will be able to use before we venture back to the Wall."

"Understood Sir!"

"Yes, Captain Levi"

Done with all the tasks, they gather around the table available to eat their dinner before retiring to their respective rooms. Eld's room was located in the basement together with Olou, while Gunther and Levi's room were across the hallway on the 2nd floor as Kagome shared a room with Petra away from the males' room.

During that night, Kagome woke up from the giggling voice, when she opened her eyes, she was shocked to see the apparition of Rin in front of her, calling her name and telling her to come.

"Wait, Rin!"

"Kagome?"

Petra woke up and rubbed her eyes before turning towards Kagome who abruptly moved from her bed.

"It's nothing Petra, I'll just need to answer the call of nature, you can go back to sleep now"

Walking outside of her room, she once again saw Rin waving at her, walking silently when she passed by the Captain's, she added more speed when she was away from the hallway.

"Please wait a moment, Rin!"

Running towards the direction Rin took off, she realized where the 3rd floor of the Keep, she walked slowly until she saw an unlocked door as it was seen ajar, she slowly opened the door and opened the light. Looking inside, Kagome noticed that it was a study room, where documents in piles were scattered around, as books' pages were torn and destroyed.

Doing an inspection, she noticed a light underneath the books, removing books, what she saw shocked her as tears gathered around the corner of her eyes.

There glowing, was the Tenseiga, as, the apparition of Rin once again appeared.

"Sister Kagome!"

"Rin, wa-what happened?"

"Sister it was a long story. However, I'll tell you that this was once Lord Sesshoumaru's castle, as you can see, they ambush the place and they succeeded in killing me."

Regret filled Kagome as she wasn't there to save her.

"But Tenseiga, h-how?"

Shaking her head, Rin told her that Tenseiga can only bring back the dead once. Sobbing, holding the sword towards her chest.

"Rin, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry"

Kagome repeatedly asked for forgiveness, she was heaving, having difficulty breathing because of what she was told. Cupping her face, Rin told her it was okay - it was fine, she can rest now and if she's lucky she might get reincarnated.

"Sister Kagome, it is fine. I can finally find peace at last. Lord Sesshoumaru left his sword here finding it useless now that I'm gone, don't worry they are still alive but away. I'd guess it is fate that this was found by you, now you can save more lives with the sword."

"Don't worry you will see them again in time, Sister. Take care and we love you"

Rin was slowly fading away as Kagome desperately tried to reach her. As the last light subsided, Kagome sobbed kneeling on the floor, she bowed in a fetal position due to the heartache she was experiencing, while trying to grip and push the sword in her chest.

Unknown to her, someone heard the conversation she had, while the man was leaning outside the door.
