thermalsnipern7: I got the same impression from the cartoon show.

Johnathan-Mandrake: Yeah...I don't think Spawn is a court guy and would go THAT far just to get the public on his side.

Jason Chandler: Well it's the League, they're stubborn bastards.

OechsnerC: thanks.

"Man, where is a good, decent cafe in this city?" Nathan muttered to himself as he strolled down a street in Metropolis, looking for a local cafe to get himself some breakfast. "You'd think with a city like this, there would be some decent, clean, easy to find cafes...better than the shit ones in Gotham that looks like someone had been smoking cocaine and were fucking. Damn did that cafe smell like drugs and sex, hell I could even hear the woman screaming for more. Most awkward thing ever."

he was so lost into talking to himself and his thoughts that he didn't notice he was about to bump into someone until he had already bumped into that someone, who was a woman, causing her to fall to the ground.

"Oh, Jesus!" Nathan gasped. "I'm sorry, miss!"

His breath halted as he stared at the most beautiful woman he's ever seen, well as beautiful as Angela actually. The woman had long raven black hair, a perfect face, a voluptuous body that was definitely not normal. She was dressed in a pair of black pants, a brown blouse and black-heeled was gorgeous, beauty incarnate Nathan dared think.

As the woman scratches her head, Nathan offers his hand to her, "I am so sorry about that." He apologized as he helped her up.

The woman shakes her head, "No, it's my fault. I got too caught up with something on my mind that I wasn't paying any attention."

"Yeah, I was the same just there. Not paying attention to anything." Nathan chuckled, which made the two of them chuckle for a bit before shaking hands. "Nathan Nolan."

The woman faltered a moment at the name but quickly recovered. However, experience from his days as a Black Ops soldier made Nathan notice it but he didn't say anything, though he put the reaction to the back of his head.

"Diana Prince." The woman introduced herself before she looked down at her clothes and cursed since they were dirty."

"Let me buy you something, as an apology. Plus I don't know where the damn cafe is anyway." Nathan chuckled awkwardly, making Diana smile in amusement at him.

"I know a good place." Diana said. "Just follow me."

"Thanks." Nathan smiled and followed her, ignoring that his heart skipped a beat when she smiled at him.

The two arrived at the diner a few minutes later, and are now sitting at their table eating their food; Nathan had ordered a breakfast meal, while Diana ordered an omelette with orange juice.

"Tell me, Nathan. Do you live around here?" Diana asked.

"Sort of. i just move from place to place after staying for a few months or weeks." Nathan said as he took a bite out of a piece of bacon. "i don't like staying in one place for a while. it gets too...crowded and noisy, plus the neighbours suck with their late night bedroom activities keeping me up and almost getting the urge to turn on music full blast to annoy them just for the hell of it."

Diana giggled at that. "Must be tough."

"Yeah, it is." Nathan shrugged. "But I get by."

"So, why are you here, Nathan? What brings you to Metropolis?" Diana asked.

"Well...just...wanted to see the sights you know. The infamous City of Tomorrow, home of the Man of Steel himself." Nathan said with a half shrug. "Heard that Spawn guy was here as well, saw him on the news after he stopped a bank robbery."

Diana raised an eyebrow. "And what do you think?"

Nathan looked at her. "Of what?"

"Spawn. His methods in dealing with criminals." Diana said, wanting to know his opinion...and see if it can be connected to Spawn.

Nathan put his fork down and hummed as he cleaned his mouth with a napkin. "Well, I think he's doing some good for the world. Sure not many people will agree that what he does is the right way, but I think he understands that. He isn't doing this to be liked in the eye of the public, that I can easily see, he's doing what he does because...maybe it just feels right to him."

"Yet the way he does it...killing criminals." Diana said with a shake of his head. "The state he's left them in-"

"It was a deserving fate is all I can say." Nathan said darkly, fists clenched under the table. Diana was surprised, detecting the dark tone in his voice but didn't comment on it. "Sorry it's just...I had a bad experience with a child killer once before."

"I see." Diana nodded. "Do you truly think those men deserved that fate though?"

Nathan nodded. "Yes. Why put them in jail when the system is corrupt and can let the killer go without problem so he can go kill again? Child killers especially. Children wouldn't feel safe knowing a person like that is running around free after getting off from jail. Parents will be terrified to let their children out of their sight for even a second...all because the system is corrupt and no one has the balls to put someone as evil as a child killer/molester/predator down, like the Justice League."

Diana looked down, considering his words and thinking them over. It's true. A lot of parents would feel safer about their children's lives if someone like a child killer was given the death sentence instead of just being jailed for a few years and will eventually get back on and probably cause more deaths of children.

"You...have a point." Diana said after a moment of hesitation. "Maybe people like them do deserve to die instead of their fates being left to a corrupt system."

"A system that seems to enjoy the chaos and torture so the politicians can benefit from it all." Nathan said, almost spitting it out since he remembered that Billy Kincaid was the bastard son of a Senator who was covering for the fat bastard's murders and blamed it on another alleged child killer. Nathan was glad he killed Kincaid after the bastard abducted Nathan's own daughter.

It pissed him off he couldn't reveal himself to his daughter that day because he was meant to be dead. Hell had taken his life away, they had taken everything from him.

"What's your opinion on Spawn?" Nathan asked curiously as he took a sip of coffee. "What do you think about him and what he does?"

"Well...I think the same as you." Diana said with a smile. "The people think he's a hero with what he does, no matter how brutal his methods are, but he hasn't hurt any civillians."

Nathan scoffed. "Whoever said 'how long until he turns his attention to innocents?' is just stupid and can't see the picture very well. I'm sure Spawn knows who's innocent and who's evil."

"Some...friends of mine said he'll eventually turn his attention to innocents when there's no cruel criminals for him to kill." Diana said, hiding the truth yet telling a bit of what Batman said at the same time.

Nathan almost flipped out at hearing someone had said that about him but he kept his expression calm and blank for minute. "Really? Well clearly that's a person who sucks the imaginary dick of the Justice League and sucks up to them, thinking they are so great and perfect they can't do any wrong when they do just that by allowing scum like Joker and Scarecrow to live and run around."

"Sounds like...you hate the Justice League." Diana said, wanting to hear his opinion on them.

"I don't hate the League, well not all of them." Nathan said with a chuckle. "I just hate that they think putting someone in prison is going to redeem them or putting them in Arkham will fix their mental issues when that's not the case. if someone is far too gone to be helped, you don't put them in jail or a mental asylum so they can grow more crazy and fucked up...you put them down for good. That's the way the world goes and always has."

The two sat there in silence, Diana thinking over Nathan's words and his view on the world, Spawn, and the League. Diana sighed before shaking her head and stood. "i better go. I got...work to do and my boss may fire me if I'm late."

"Beautiful woman like you? he'd be an idiot." Nathan said, making her chuckle as she went to leave but paused and considered something before looking at him with a smirk, making him raise an eyebrow. "What?"

She walked over, took a pen out of her pocket and started writing down numbers on the back of his hand. once she was finished, she smiled at him. "That's my number. Call me." She winked at him and walked away, putting a purposeful sway in her hips, knowing his eyes were drawn to her ass along with the gaze of every man, and some women, in this diner.

Once she was gone. Nathan looked at her number and shook his head. "What a woman..."

He heard thunder and lightning in the sky and looked to see it was beginning to pour rain. he saw Diana look annoyed and throw her hood up and walk off down a stree. Nathan frowned when two men in black hoodies paused and watched her go before they followed her with familiar grins.

Nathan stood and left...

'Gotta be kidding me.' Diana thought with annoyance as a group of five men had been following her. She recongized their look, dressed in black hoodies. Clearly theyw ere rapists looking to get 'a piece of her ass'. She knew she had to be careful or else she'll be outed as Wonder Woman. She had turned down an alleyway in the hopes of losing them when she was tackled into the wall.

"We got her boys!" A man laughed as three men held Diana's arms as she struggled, barely holding the urge to just kill them to stop her from suffering the fate of other women who have been raped. She could fight back, but then she may be outed as Wonder Woman! She couldn't do anything!

"Let go of me!" Diana yelled, kicking and fighting back but the men had their grips tighten as one got in between her legs and tried undoing her pants, starting to pull them down to reveal black panties when a chain wrapped around the man and dragged him into darkness where he screamed before theyw ere cut off.

"What the fuck?!" One of the men yelled as they got out knives or pistols while the three men holding Diana let her go and got their weapons out. Diana took the chance to pull her pants back on.

"Jerry?" One of the men called into the darkness of the alleyway when something was thrown at their feet, revealing the wide eyed, lifeless head of Jerry. "Son of a bitch!"

"That he was."

The sudden voice made everyone look up to see the dark silhouette of Spawn himself, staring down at them with a dark look in his glowing green eyes.

"But then again...so are you guys." He added before he jumped down as the thugs fired at him. Spawn elbowed one in the face, caught the fist of another and twosted it enough to dislocate the arm, causing the man to scream in pain before Spawn bashed his head off a brick wall. Spawn turned and three of the thugs fired at him, causing him to go to a knee before he growled and stood with the bullet holes healing up until nothing was there.

"holy shit..." One of the thugs muttered.

"Does it seriously take this many guys to rape a single woman?" Spawn growled before he lunged for the men.

Diana watched with wide eyes yet intrigue as Spawn dealt with the thugs in brutal fashion, cracking their necks, ripping their heads off, punching a hole through their hearts. She watched as one of the thugs ran but Spawn sent a chain out to wrap around the thug's ankle, dragging him back. She watched as he kneeled and put his clawed fingertips to the thug's face before he dug them in and...ripped the thug's entire face off.

It was only her experience as a warrior that kept her from throwing up.

The thug screamed in horror and pain as blood gushed everywhere before Spawn dug his fist into the thug's stomach, gripped something then pulled his spine and head right out through his stomach, sending guts, liver, kidneys, and other internal organs everywhere.

Tossing the spine aside, Spawn turned to Diana and walked over, not getting too close though. "You okay?" he asked gruffly, voice low and deep.

Diana nodded. "Y-Yes. Thank you." She said as she took his offered hand, the one without the blood on it, and stood to her feet. "You...are Spawn."

"yes." He nodded.

"You really do kill with such...brutal tactics." Diana said, glancing at the thugs...or what was left of them.

Spawns eyes narrowed. "Would you rather I knock them out and let the cops handle them with the case of them getting out and raping more women?" He growled.

"no, I wasn't saying that." Diana shook her head. "I'm just..."

"It's okay." Spawn nodded. "You just nearly got raped, any other woman would feel as you do right now. Stay out of the alleys, they are always filled with scum wrost than even rapists."

"What can be worst than these men?" Diana scoffed.

"Me."

She looked at him in surprise but he was already disappearing into the darkness. "Go home, stay safe...I wouldn't want to see your beautiful face dumped in my alley."

Rude as that sounds, it was his way of telling her to be safe. Diana looked around but couldn't find the Lethal vigilante, causing her to sigh before she walked away into the streets.

Meanwhile, Spawn watched her go from a rooftop and sighed. "What is it with me being attracted to beautiful women? But...there's something different about this one. She's no ordinary woman."

And that's it for this chapter. Nathan met Diana outside his outfit, then saved Diana from being raped as Spawn. What a way for our story's pairing to meet, huh?

I may use Wonder Woman comic book arcs from things like the New 52 like the whole 'finding out she's the daughter of Zeus' thing since I'm no longer doing a New 52 story.
