Chapter 4 - Unwanted Guest
Kula was face to face with the strange being who was grabing her by the neck with such cold hands
"What. Are. You?!" - Said Kula to the strange creature
"... I've been know for different names and titles but you can call me, Matriarch!" - Said The Strange Woman
"Ma... tri... arch?" - Kula
"And that's the last thing you will say in your life." - Matriarch then made five blades appear out of the fingers on her left arm preparing to kill Kula
When she was about to strike Kula down, Matriarch was then shot by Whip in her shoulder
"Bullets, really Seirah?" - Matriarch
"I wasn't trying to stop you, I was trying to distract you!" - Whip
In that moment Maxima launched himself to the distracted female stranger, taking her to the next room and managing to free Kula
Kula fell to the ground and Whip quickly went to see her
"Kula! Are you ok?" - Whip
"I... I'm fine." - Said Kula shivering
"Kula!" - Said Diana and Foxy getting up of the ground, both were notably injured
"Wait! Where's K'?" - Asked Kula
"I don't know? I don't see him here, Kula we have to get out of here." - Said Whip looking at how the remains of the house were filled with smoke and fire
"Take Amelia, Diana and Foxy out of here, I'll search for K'." - Kula
"Kula! You are coming with us." - Whip
"I'm not leaving K' behind!" - Kula gave Whip the body of Amelia and went to search for K'
"(Dammit it, K'. Where are you?)" - Thought Whip taking Amelia, Diana and Foxy out of the house
Meanwhile Maxima and Matriarch interchanged some hits
"Who the hell are you?" - Asked Maxima
"That's none of your business!" - Matriarch was giving Maxima a really tough fight
After clashing fists both fighters backed up for a moment
"(She is too fast despite her heavy armor.)" - Thought Maxima
In that moment Maxima tried to scan the body of Matriarch but for his surprise he was unable to do it.
"Error! Error! Error! Unable to identify target. Unable to read target's vital signs. Downloading file X-2000." - Said the voice of Maxima's scaner as this one started to download something instead of scaning Matriarch
"File X-2000? ARGH! What is happening to me?" - Said Maxima as he became unable to move his body
"You poor and rusty idiot. You tried to scan my body but the only data you were able to get was a virus." - Matriarch
"A virus?!" - Maxima
"Impressive, right? News flash, you're not the only one here with high tech." - Matriarch
"Impossible!" - Maxima then tried to reboot his system but Matriarch then gave him a strong kick sending him to another room of the house
Meanwhile Kula was searching for K'
"K'! Can you hear me? Where are you?!" - Said Kula looking everywhere for K'
Kula started to cough as the smoke was now much bigger and it was impossible to see anything. In that moment of frustation a giant piece of wood of the ceiling fell on Kula
"ARGH!" - Kula was trying to remove the pieces of wood but she was unable to focus and keep coughing
In that moment she was able to see a shadow, thinking it was Matriarch. Kula then closed her eyes in fear but then he heared his voice
"Kula!" - Said K' who runned towards her
"K'!" - Kula
"Just hold on!" - K' used all his strength and managed to remove the piece of wood from her
"K'! Are you ok?" - Kula
"I'll will be once we leave this place." - K'
Kula and K' starting walking searching for an exit when in that moment Maxima was punched to the room where they were standing
"MAXIMA!" - Said K' after seeing Maxima's body clashing through the wall
"Find you!" - Said Matriarch after seeing Kula
"Who the hell is that?" - K'
"I don't know but we have to get out, she is too strong to be fought here." - Said Kula desperate to K'
"Let's see how tought is it." - Said K' launching himself against the strange woman
K' throwed a punch to Matriarch but was stopped by her hand
"K'. You always were a headstrong." - Said Matriarch punching K' back
"K'!" - Screamed Kula seeing how K' was launched to the wall
Matriarch started walking towards the shocked Kula who throwed a giant sphere of ice towards her
"Useless!" - Matriarch reflected the ice sphere back to Kula easily
"(How did she do that?)" - Thought Kula dodging
In that moment K' got up again
"We haven't finish our business!" - Said K'
Matriarch looked back at K'
K' throwed two flames at Matriarch then used his move blackout to appear at the other side of her and attacked her with his move called crow bite
"ARGH!" - Matriarch was sended to the ground
"Hehehe. No bad!" - Matriarch got up quickly and started walking towards K'
"Do you really think I'm a afraid of some freak like you?" - Said K' with confidence
"That's what I like about you, K'. You never tend to show fear, even if deep down you're nervous and totally freakout." - Said Matriarch
"Shut up! I don't know who sended you after us or what do you want but I'm not planning to be killed by a mechanical abomination like you!" - Said K' angry after Matriarch's answer
In that moment Maxima's system was rebooted, he awaken and saw Matriarch was being distracted by K'
"I'm tired of playing already." - Said Matriarch walking towards K'
"Kula, run!" - K' ordered to Kula
"No, I'm gonna fight her with you. Especially after what she did to Amelia." - Said Kula creating two spikes of ice in her hands
"How cute! You two really think you have any chances." - Said Matriarch
"SHUT UP!" - Both Kula and K' launched themselves against Matriarch
While Kula and K' showed good team work, they were not match for Matriarch
Matriarch grabs K' by his leg and throws him at Kula
Kula and K' got up again
In that moment Maxima got up
"K'! Kula! Get down!" - Screamed Maxima revealing the big laser cannon in his chest fully charged
K' and Kula know what Maxima was going to do and both runned out of Maxima's range. In that moment Maxima used his technique called Maxima laser on Matriarch
Unfortunaly for Maxima's surprise Matriarch was able to withstand his attack as she walked throught the laser towards Maxima reflecting the laser with her right hand
"How primitive!" - Said Matriarch to a surprised Maxima, she punched him in the face sending him to the ground
"Stupid robot! You're nothing but a minor annoyance." - Matriarch was prepared to kill Maxima
"NO!" - In that moment Kula quickly got up and grabed a piece of wood on fire, she striked Matriarch in the head with it
For Kula's surprise hitting Matriarch with a burning piece of wood manages to hurt her sending her on the ground
"ARGH! My face! My face!" - Matriarch grabed her head as her entire armor was on fire, she started screaming in pain trying to turn off the flames
In that moment Maxima got up and using his hand cannon shots at the ceiling to make a giant piece of wood covered in fire fall on Matriarch
"Now is our chance!" - Maxima destroys one of the walls of the house and manages to create an exit. He, Kula and K' quickly run out of the remains of the house in fire
Maxima, Kula and K' managed to escape of the house but they heared the sirens in the distance coming to where they were.
"Where is Seirah?!" - Asked Kula not being able to see Seirah, Diana and Foxy
"I don't know but we can stay any longer here." - Said K' as he walked to the backyarn of the house.
The three ex-agents of NESTS where running in the streets, trying to be the as far as they could of the house
In that moment a car stops in front of them... It was Whip
"C'mon, enter!" - Whip
Kula, K' and Maxima entered inside the vehicle
Whip started driving
"What the hell was that thing?" - Asked Whip
"I don't know but whatever that thing is, sure is strong." - Said K'
Whip looked at Kula, she was shivering in fear. She understood she probably was still in shock after what happened and focused of driving as far as she could out of the place
Meanwhile back at the remains of the house
"KULA! You little bitch!" - Said the angry Matriarch coming out of the walls of the house
Matriarch found herself alone as there was no one there. Kula and her family had escaped
"They're gone!" - Matriarch
"So they decided to run away, eh? That was smart on their part, to bad they won't be safe for too long." - Matriarch was able to see where they were as she had put a tracker in the leg of K' during the fight
In that moment the police alongside the FBI and the firemen had arrived to the house, as they entered the house aiming their guns at Matriarch
"Freeze! On your knees and keep your hands where we can see them!" - Said a police officer to Matriarch
Matriarch ignored the warning and started walking towards the officers and FBI agents
Scared by her the police started to shoot at Matriarch, for they surprise this didn't stop Matriarch and she keep walking towards the entrance passing the police
A police officer runned towards the entrace and started to shot her with a shotgun. Matriarch then grabbed him by the shirt
"Poor ignorant fools!" - Said Matriarch to the police officer
"Enjoy your pathetic lifes as much as you can, before is too late." - Matriarch then throws the police officer to the rest of police as she got out of the house scaring the firemen who were watching everything in the entrace
A black van arrived at the scene and saw Matriarch walking out of the house towards the streets
"I have visual contact on the strange creature. Is abandoning the house, they police have arrived. The target is getting shot by them but is like that thing is not being affected by bullets." - Said the agent
"Ok, try to follow that thing but don't let it see you." - Said the man at the other side of the line
"I would not do that if I were you!" - Said Matriarch as she had hacked into the transmission of the agent
"WHAT THE HELL?!" - Screamed the Agent after hearing the deep robotic voice
"You really think you are stealthy with your private lines of communication but it was so easy for me to join your conversation." - Matriarch
"In case you idiots have a death wish I would suggest to cancel your little project and dont follow after me." - Matriarch
"Wait a moment, you stupid freak! Who do you think you are to hack into our line and give us orders! We are not stopping with our operations just because of you." - Said the man in the control tower
"In fact is you who should be worried, now that we know about you, we aren't going to stop you until we captured you too." - man in the control tower
"Hahaha. You stupid dogs haven't changed anything!" - Said Matriarch confusing both men
"You're so pathetic I can help but felt pity towards every single one of you. You guys think you're in control of people like me but soon you will find that's not the case... Especially when the truth comes out." - Matriarch
"WHAT?!" - Agent
"Oh and by the way, guys. Send my regards to the president." - Matriarch then ended the call
Later that day
It was night, Kula and her family had come to a hill in the outskirts of the city. K' and Maxima digged to a place close to a tree. After digging for quite some time, Whip and Kula took Amelia's body to the hole that K' and Maxima had digged.
Whip leaved the body there and both K' and Maxima starting to bury the body of Amelia.
"You were the only friend I had back in school. Almost like a sister to me, you gave me your friendship and trust... Amelia! I remember how you told me that my family was the type of family you always wished for, that spending time with me made you happy. I'm sorry... I'm sorry you had to suffer for my fault. You didn't deserved this!" - Kula
"Is all my fault!" - Screamed Kula as she fell on her knees and started crying
"Kula... We have to go." - Said Whip grabing her shoulder
"Leave me alone! I'm... Sorry Seirah. I'll go, just give me some minutes." - Said Kula
"Is ok, I understand it." - Whip, Maxima, Diana, Foxy and K' returned to the car leaving Kula some moment alone
"I'm so sorry, Amelia. WHY?!" - Said Kula still on her knees crying
In that moment a strong rain started appearing.
