Chapter 4

First time

Merlina wakes up before Gaius and goes to the kitchen to look for food and finds nothing but liquor. She puts on her clothes and takes some money from the counter and goes out to the markets. She makes it to the farmer and asks for the lamb, bread, and some fruits she gives the farmer the money and heads to the castle. She sees a jewelry stand and goes to look at the gems. She looks next to her and sees some man stealing from the owner. The man sees Merlina look and starts to run. Merlina goes after him telling him to stop. She drops the food and grabs one of the sticks from the ground. She catches up with the guy and takes her stick to swoop him with the stick making him fall. The man hurriedly gets up and pulls out a knife. Merlina picks up the stick fighting with the man .merlina gets swiped by the knife causing her to bleed she then hits the knife out of the man's hand kicks and flips the guy to the ground.she holds him down till the guards comes.But Merlin a notices something in the mans faces like fingers coming out his face the guards come before she can take a better look.merlina and the guy were both taken into custody. Uhhh she wonders why she is being taken but then sees in the far distances someone that looks like author but then that person suddenly disappears. Merlina gets thrown in the jail cell until the king finds out what happened. Merlina is then released and Gaius is waiting for her outside her cell.

Gaius: You can not stay out of trouble can you?

Merlina: It is not my fault even the king said. I was trying to help.

Gaius: Merlina you can not help everyone until you help yourself now you are hurt and I can see you were hit somewhere.

Merlina: It is not even that bad and I can not even feel.

Gaius: there is blood all over your arm, let's head back to the house and I can help you clean it up .If your mother saw you like this she would be mad.

Merlina and gaius head back to the room and Merlina sits down in the kitchen chair while gaius goes to get the tools to help her wound. Merlina notices a tattoo on Gaius' arm and observes it; she describes it as an eye with a snake wrapped around it. As she was staring she was caught by gaius and he looked at his arm and covered it up so Merlina would stop looking at it. He then felt some type of way of not explaining what it is so he stops for a brief moment and sits down with the tools in his hand and puts it on the table he then goes to explain his tattoo while helping with Merlina arm.

Gaius: The tattoo describes a very dangerous past of mine and...your mother. Your mother was not the only powerful one in our family, dark and light power runs through our blood. It is very dangerous .Me and your mother used to work for a different king, a dark king…. I do not say his name because it is a curse if you do. But as me and your mother got older we started to do more gruesome things. When we got to villages it was a massacre. After we hit the village of Osgalder i was done we were blinded by the king's words. I tried to leave and the king found out so he tried to turn my own sister against me. So i used magic to disguise the way i look so she would not find me or the king but i guess she knew where i was the whole time she was not dark all the way. But after I left I never looked back and did not hear from her again. I am not sure who your father is but one thing is i heard your mother said she met someone nice and brave so whoever he is he is very noble.

Merlina looks a little relieved but also curious of more information about her life. She also feels bad about Gaius and her mother's past life and how her mother is risking her life for merlina. Merlina then helds to look out the window and Gaius goes to put the stuff away. she notices outside the window in the far distance a glowing light and she looks down on the market outside the village and notices Author. Author then looks straight into Merlina's eyes through the window. She feels happiness in her heart and tries not to simile.author jesters to merlina to come down. She shrugged her shoulders and helds down to the pub. She looks for Arthur in the pub and he pops up behind her.

Author: You actually came down.You seemed upset when i saw you in the window

Merlina: So you were watching me?

Author: Uh no….*nerves*

Merlina: Weird cause it looks like you have been following me i saw you in the crowd when i got arrested amd you disappeared very quickly.

Arthur feels he has got caught. They go to sit at the bar and Arthur starts to talk to merlina. she tries to listen to arthur but feel something weird around her. Merlina and Arthur goes to order the drink they wanted. The bartender comes back with the drink and merlina goes to get the drink from the bartender's hand and accidentally touches him, she catches the few past memories the bartender had. She sees him talking to a guy about drugging a prince soon to be king and sees the guy handing the bartender money and the drugs and the bartender puts it in a blue cup and mixes it up merlina couldn't get a glimpse of the mystery man because he was wearing a hoodie. Merlina brings herself to reality and hears Arthur saying Merlina's name.

Arthur: Merlina! Merlina!

Merlina looks at Arthur and looks down at Arthur cup.

Merlina: We have to go. Someones trying to drug you.

Merlina looks back and a group of guys are staring at arthur and her. Merlina and Arthur leave the bar And the guys follow behind.The get out the bar and start to run down the hill towards the forest the men pushes through the crowd and pushes people over.everyone is looking at Merlina and arthur like they are important. The men catches up to Merlina and Arthur and tries to swing a sword between merlina and arthur. Merlina pushes arthur to the side and goes to swig and attack the men.She fights so fast she grabs the sword and goes to swing one of the guys and the mystery man comes to stop merlina swing with his sword..Stopping her from hitting the guy. The mystery man tells the men to leave and throws something in the air to distract merlina and disappears in thin air. Merlina goes to help arthur up and everyone cheers she and arthur start to run cause she doesn't want to disappoint her uncle. They run straight into the castle to lose the men and run into the run where she fainted at. They hide in the closet and close the door. They look at each other not realizing how close they were and find each other breathing and staring into each other soul. Arthur starts to get closer and merlina breaks the silence to say…

Merlina:...They are gone.* opens closet door* Its funny how you just went along with me saying to go like you knew people are after you. Do you wanna be honest and tell me who you are.

Arthur: I can not tell you or you will be in danger too.

Merlina: well that's too late isn't it. I know who you are already and you didn't have to lie to me.

Arthur: I didn't li…

Merlina storms out and goes to head to her uncle's room but thinks maybe her uncle knows the disaster she caused today, so she sneaks outside the castle and heads to the forest to clear her head. She walks through the forest and sees a river.She goes to the river to drink water and sees someone's reflection in the water. he grabs merlina and tells her he will let her go if she didn't scream.Merlina agrees to not screaming and the guy lets her go merlina makes a run for it and the guy grabs merlina and merlina sets a tree on fire. The guy pushes merlina out the way and the tree falls on the man.Merlina hit her head so it was a blur but she saw the man holding the fiery hot tree and puts it out with the wind.he goes to merlina and picks her up and merlina loses conscious.
