In Love With The Babysitter

Adrien Agreste is the single father to Hugo Agreste. Adrien is so busy with work that he can't be around his son all the time. Luckily, his assistant's sister, Marinette is a babysitter. So, he hires her and falls in love but why does she seem so sad? He finds a photo of a little girl who looks exactly like her. Also now there's a man chasing her? What? Adrienette No Miraculous AU.

4. Chapter 4

I DON'T OWN THE SHOW!

It's been two weeks and Marinette is now Hugo's regular babysitter. Adrien has been trying to figure out who that girl is but whenever he mentions her, Luka and Marinette both tear up, so he dropped the topic. Adrien also developed a crush on the girl. Right now, Marinette is heading out to take Hugo to the park.

"Can we make a quick stop Hugo?" Marinette asks the boy in the backseat.

"Sure!" He says. Marinette stops at a cemetery. Grabbing a bouquet of daisies from the passenger's seat, she goes inside along with Hugo. They stop at a grave marked Emma Dupain-Cheng. Marinette places the daisies onto the grave.

"Happy Birthday Emma," she says, letting out a few tears.

"Who is that?', a curious Hugo asks.

"My daughter," Marinette says, quickly wiping away her tears before the boy could see them.

"Will she wake up?"

"Not anytime soon," Marinette says, leading Hugo back to the car. The two head to the park where Marinette sat on a bench, tossing a charm back and forth between her hands.

~flashback~

"Happy Birthday Emma," a happy Marinette says, handing a small box to the giddy toddler. Emma opens the box to find a beaded charm.

"What is it Mommy?", she asks.

"It's a lucky charm. As long as you have it, you'll be lucky," Marinette says, tying the charm around the little girl's wrist. The girl ran over to her Uncle and showed off the bracelet.

"Uncle Luka! Look what Mommy gave me," she says excitedly.

"It's amazing," he said picking up the girl.

~end-of-flashback~

Marinette smiles sadly at the memory. She felt a pair of small arms wrap around her and looked down to see Hugo.

"You looked sad. Hugs make me feel better when I'm sad," he says.

"Thank you, Hugo," Marinette says, smiling at the lovingness the boy is showing. A few hours later, after the two go back to the house, Adrien is back. He walks in to see Hugo munching on a cookie at the dining table.

"Where's Mari?", Adrien asks.

"Kitchen." Adrien walks in the kitchen to find a sobbing Marinette sitting on the floor. He immediately rushed over and wrapped his arms around her. Marinette sobs into his embrace.

"Sh-she would have b-been five y-years old t-today," she says.

"Emma?", Adrien asks. Marinette slowly nodded.

"What happened to her?", he asks.

"H-he k-killed her," she whispers.

"Who did?", Adrien asks. Marinette just stays quiet. At that moment Hugo came into the kitchen. He saw what was happening and ran over to Marinette. He wrapped his tiny little arms around her. The three stayed like that. The two boys comforting the sobbing Marinette.
