Hello, bots and cons. Centurion here and welcome back to Transformers: Wild Earth. I hope you all liked the previous chapter. Also, I hope you all like the characters of this story. In the last chapter, High Kick started learning to control his temper and won in the second round against Death Roll, Gorger, and Giga Kwaga, but the Predacons have acquired a Photon Cannon for their ship thanks to High Kick's temper. Thus, it's a win-lose situation. As usual, I hope for your continued support.
Before we start, I'd like to say that this story was actually partly inspired by Stone-Man85's story that's actually named Beast Wars. So, thank you, Stone-Man85 for giving me the inspiration to start writing this story.
Now, we get back into the action of Transformers: Wild Earth! MAXIMIZE!
*Algonquin National Park, Ontario. The Peaceful Traveler. Ventus Primal's Quarters. 18:21 pm*
It had been a quiet day. The Predacons weren't up to anything as of late. Most of the Maximals took this as a good sign, but Ventus Primal wasn't easily convinced. He had an itching in his spark that the Predacons were up to something. "What're you Preds up to?" He decided to go out for a routine flight. Maybe he could find some clue along the way.
*Lake Superior, Ontario. The Darkstar. Main Lobby. 20:12 pm*
Venomous Primal and the Predacons were having a meeting regarding plans. "Death Roll, Gorger, despite you two and Giga Kwaga getting beaten by a single Maximal, you did manage to bring back a Photon Cannon to the Darkstar. Thus, your performance of your second mission on Earth was satisfactory." Venomous said.
"Thank you, sir." Gorger and Death Roll bowed.
"Giga Kwaga, Electreeek, Brainjack: Do any of you three have a plan to destroy the Maximals or throw them off our scent?" Venomous asked, his new forked tongue sticking out for a nano-klik.
"Apologies, Venomous, but I'm still working on our ship's systems." Brainjack replied.
"Very well, Brainjack. Continue with your work." Venomous allowed. Brainjack then skittered back to his workplace.
"Well, you two?" Venomous repeated.
Just before either of them could answer, the M.E.W.S went off. "What is M.E.W.S detecting?" Venomous ordered.
"It's a single Maximal out by his lonesome at this Earth hour." Giga Kwaga answered.
"Giga Kwaga, take out the Maximal and send them crashing down." Venomous ordered.
"With pleasure, sir." Giga Kwaga grinned as he transformed to his Hercules Beetle mode and headed out.
*Algonquin National Park, Ontario. Ventus Primal. 21:43 pm*
Ventus was simply gliding through the clear night sky, but still paying attention to literally everything else around him, be in the air or the ground. Constantly looking toward the ground, he was subtly scanning it for any sign of Predacon activity. Some would call him, paranoid, but when Ventus Primal had a feeling about something, he would usually filter out anyone's opinions of him.
However, Giga Kwaga was quickly closing in on him. "Well, well. The leader of the Maximals himself. Time to die!" Transforming to robot mode, Giga Kwaga fired missiles at Ventus who sensed they were coming and dodged them.
"You'll have to do better than that, Giga Kwaga!" Ventus shouted.
"You want better?" Giga Kwaga muttered with a grin. All of a sudden, he fired purple lasers from his wings, actually wounding Ventus and making him go down. "So falls Ventus Primal of the Maxinals and the Predacons will rule all without you to guide your friends!" With that said and done, he flew back to the Predacon ship believing the job to be done.
What he didn't see was Ventus in robot mode looking a little damaged, but nothing too seriously. "Beast mode." He transformed back to his Bald Eagle mode and limped off in slight pain.
*Algonquin National Park, Ontario. The Peaceful Traveler. 22:21 pm*
"He still hasn't come back." High Kick stated.
"We have to go look for him!" Ground Hound shouted frantically.
"Calm yourselves, everyone." Tai Chimp spoke out. "It won't do Ventus any good if we're scurrying around like Insecticons. We need to make a plan before we start searching for him."
The other four looked at Tai Chimp and each other before coming to the conclusion that Tai Chimp was absolutely right. "Alright. What do you suggest?" High Kick asked.
"Butterflame, Spritewing: You two will search from the air. Ground Hound, High Kick, and I will comb the ground for any signs Ventus might have left." Tai Chimp explained.
"Got it!" The other four Maximals acknowledged and the five went out to search for their leader, all hoping that they weren't too late.
-Flashback Start-
*Cybertron. Just Outside the Maximal Council Chamber. Unknown Time*
"Honestly, I don't know if I can do this, Triassicus." Ventus admitted rather bashfully.
"Yet you are a great commanding officer, Ventus."Triassicus smiled putting his hand on Ventus's shoulder strut.
"I appreciate your confidence in me. I wish I had the same." Ventus frowned.
"My fellow Council members agree with me that you are the right choice. We wouldn't choose you if we didn't have confidence in you." Triassicus kept his kind smile.
"Thank you." Ventus bowed with his own small smile.
-Flashback End-
*Algonquin National Park, Ontario. Ventus Primal. 6:01 am*
Ventus slowly opened his eyes. He must've fallen asleep in his beast mode. He saw what looked to be a human male who was about 19 years old with blonde hair and green eyes wearing jeans and a t-shirt and sneakers just staring at him. "Hey, hey. It's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you." The human tried to reassure. Ventus scanned him and saw he was genuine in what he was telling him. "I hope to see you again, big fella." The human left and went back to whatever he was doing.
"Huh. The human didn't even try anything." Ventus muttered. "Then again, in my nervousness, I haven't read the Ancient Autobot reports on their human allies."
*Lake Superior, Ontario. The Darkstar. Main Lobby. 7:56 am*
"I'm not fully convinced you destroyed Ventus Primal, Giga Kwaga." Venomous's face was really close to Giga Kwaga's, his forked tongue actually touching it. "Even if it turns out you haven't, we are too few in numbers."
"T-Thank you, Venomous." Giga Kwaga bowed.
"You will go back out there and make sure the job is finished. This time, you'll take Gorger with you." Venomous ordered as he slithered back to his quarters.
"Yes, sir." Giga Kwaga acknowledged as he walked out.
*Algonquin National Park, Ontario. Ventus Primal. 8:12 am*
"Ventus Primal to base, come in." Unfortunately, all he was getting was static. "Aarrggh… Giga Kwaga's attack must've damaged my comms. I have to start getting back to base. The CR Chamber will perform a full repair" Just as he was about to try to fly, a missile blast hit the ground, knocking him back. He saw that Giga Kwaga had returned, but this time, he'd brought Gorger for backup.
"Good thing you weren't destroyed, Ventus Primal! Now, you can die now!" Gorger screamed. Transforming to her own robot mode, she brought out her mace and slammed into the ground, creating a small shockwave heading straight for the Maximal leader. Luckily, Ventus could still transform and he did just that.
"As I said to Giga Kwaga last night, you'll have to do better than that." Ventus repeated.
"You can still fight. Good. This will be more enjoyable." Giga Kwaga smirked. "Once you're destroyed, the Maximals will lose their drive to stop us and surrender!"
"You're wrong! The Maximals will continue on, even without me!" Ventus retorted. Suddenly, he fired feathers from his wings making Giga Kwaga shield himself from the attack. He didn't forget about Gorger, but his feathers didn't do anything to her armor as she charged Ventus Primal who could barely dodge in time and got hit into a tree. Groaning, he looked up to see Gorger in her robot mode, staring right at him.
"This is where you go offline, Ventus Primal." Gorger smirked. All of a sudden, a small rock hit her left leg. She turned to see the same human that encountered Ventus a little while ago holding more rocks.
"Get away from the bird!" The human shouted as he threw another rock at a higher height and it hit Gorger's right optic which made her scream in pain as the human ran in the opposite direction. "YOU INSUFFERABLE INSECT! I'LL CRUSH YOU UNDER MY HEEL STRUT!"
However, Ventus managed to transform into his own robot mode, grab her and stop her from doing so. "You'll do nothing to the human, Gorger." He then kicked her in the side of her head, knocking her down. "You're next, Giga Kwaga." He jumped into the air and kicked him in the chestplate.
Giga Kwaga only growled in anger. "We will destroy you, Ventus Primal!"
"Oh, will you, now?" A new voice called out. Giga Kwaga and Gorger turned to see the other Maximals standing there in their robot modes with their weapons pointed directly at them.
"Uhhh… bail!" Giga Kwaga shouted as he transformed back to his Hercules Beetle mode and flew off with Gorger following not far behind in her Caterpillar mode.
"Are you okay, Ventus?" Spritewing asked in worry.
"Yes, I'm fine, Spritewing." Ventus answered. "Though, I wouldn't have been if it weren't for the human helping me."
"A human saw you?!" High Kick exclaimed, shocked.
" You can come out now." Ventus said and the human who helped him slowly walked out from behind the tree he was hiding on.
"Not to be mean, but what did this little guy do to help you?" Ground Hound was curious to hear the answer.
"I-I threw a rock at the caterpillar robot's eye." The human answered slightly timidly.
"You hit Gorger's optic?! Oohh, you must have good aim!" High Kick laughed out loud. "Oh, that's gotta be embarrassing for her!"
"This human gave me the opportunity to delay her and Giga Kwaga further until you all showed up." Ventus finished and he turned to the human. "Thank you for helping me in my time of need."
"N-No problem. I just can't believe what I'm seeing and talking to: Machines that can transform into real animals. Oh! I should introduce myself. I'm Noah, Noah Pike."
"Nice to meet you, Noah. I'm Butterflame." Butterflame smiled.
"I'm High Kick! What you did to Gorger must've taken a lot of courage! I like that." High Kick grinned.
"I am Tai Chimp, Mr. Pike. I am grateful you decided to help Ventus." Tai Chimp said.
"The name's Ground Hound. Nice to meet you." Ground Hound stated.
"Last but not least, I'm Spritewing. Thank you for helping out." Spritewing smiled.
"Not a problem, but makes me have a lot of questions." Noah admitted.
"All those questions will be answered in time." Ventus reassured. "In the meantime, take this." Ventus kneeled down and handed Noah a small watch-like device. "This is a comm device. Use this to contact any of us or the base if there's an emergency."
Noah smiled and nodded. "I will. Thank you. It's awesome to meet all of you. I gotta get back. See you!" He then started running with a gigantic smile on his face as he's just had the experience of a lifetime, but Noah Pike's adventures with the Maximals were just beginning.
*Outer Space. Earth's Orbit. Unknown Time*
One of the many stasis pods in the planet's orbit started pointing in the direction of Earth. After it pointed enough, it actually started falling to Earth, starting to burn up as it entered the atmosphere while increasing in speed.
Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked this chapter of Transformers: Wild Earth. We get some background on Ventus Primal's flaw via a small flashback as well as meet a Maximal Council Member: Triassicus.
Now, I know we haven't seen much of Electreeek since the opening two-parter, but he is an aquatic-based Predacon. We will see him more later on.
To remind everyone: This story does take place in the present day of 2004, not the prehistoric past nor distant future, so humans will be involved, but not completely taking over. Besides, this was just one human whose name is Noah Pike.
Lastly, a stasis pod has begun falling into Earth's atmosphere. Will it turn out to be a new Maximal or a new Predacon? Why don't you be the judge? If you have ideas for a new Maximal or Predacon, please let me know.
As usual, if anyone has any ideas for this story, please let me know in the comments/reviews, or personally PM me.
