AN: Hi everyone,

Welcome back to the third story.

Thank you to everyone who is supporting the story. It truly makes me happy.

Glad that you like the concept.

Description: One day, Jace walks into a grocery store to find a red-headed barista who is tired of customers being disrespectful. (AH/AU/OOC/Drama/Angry/Touch of Violence/Rated T/Pandemic) Clary Fray, Sebastion Verlac, and Jace Wayland.

Don't Mess with the Barista (0.6K)

The loud shouts of screaming draw my attention, and out of curiosity, I begin to walk in the direction of the yelling, not because I'm nosey, but there is a feeling in my gut.

As I walk closer to the noise, the yelling gets louder, and I begin moving quicker only to discover a man in a white tuque with a tiny furball at the top screaming at this young barista, who is unwilling to let him step all over her.

I watch the young girl shift her body to the left, causing her long red hair to swing around with her. She stands there trying to explain to the man that he cannot be rude to other customers like that. Then she asks him to take a step back from the counter and to wait on the red circles to promote social distancing.

He argues back at her, and I hear her ask him for a third time to stand on the circles marking the floor.

"I cannot stand on a circle that doesn't exist. Those circles on the ground are orange, not red," he yells as his face begins to become more flush.

This poor girl stands there looking at her hand, pretending he doesn't exist and probably hopes this will be all over soon, so she can continue cleaning up.

But instead, this man has other plans. I then watch the man ball his fists and tells her to get a manager.

She raises an eyebrow and says, "My manager is away. Come back when she's here."

The man somehow becomes angrier and yells, "a store manager than," while throwing his arms in the air.

I glance from the redhead to the man with the tuque that has almost fallen off his head. It now exposes his dark, almost black hair as I watch his face become more twisted as he yells insults.

I look to the barista getting ready to step in since, even though the barista has a mask on, I can tell she's frustrated by her stance.

For a second, it appears the man will walk away since he has his drink in hand, but after a few minutes, he remains still and redirects his focus to insulting the girl.

After a minute of rambling, he shuts up and realizes she hasn't said anything. Their eyes lock, and they stand there looking at one another, daring the other to move first.

The man calls her colourblind, and suddenly, the girl rushes out of the tiny space and stands directly in front of him, then waits.

I find myself walking closer since the terrible feeling seems to be growing as I watch this scene play out. I don't make it in time before the man opens his mouth again and tells the girl to go back to grade 1 to learn colours.

Suddenly the man is tossed to the floor with a thud by the tiny girl, and she punches him and tells him off.

I quickly grab the young girl pulling her off him before she can do more harm, and hold her arm if she tries it again.

Another employee grabs the man once he stands since he tries to come closer to her and is consequently stopped.

He calls her names, but she shrugs it off, moves out of my hold then walks away without another word.

As she walks, he continues to yell insults, and she keeps moving with her bright curls dancing around with each step.

The same colour, red, as the circles.

THE END

AN: Sooooooo, this is loosely based on a real encounter. However, I did not attack him.

See you all!

My next update will be for $26.56.

School is starting again, so updates will be questionable. This is why I created this space to get my other writing energy out.
