"The store was robbed." Gaby told Alex, Lenni, Jamal, Casey, Hector, and Tina seriously.
"What was taken?" Alex asked Gaby.
"More than one hundred dollars is missing from the register, I saw it this morning, Alex." Gaby answered.
"When this morning?" Jamal asked Gaby.
"When Gaby gave me my refund," Tina answered Jamal. "right before I met you guys at the news stand."
Gaby was beginning to have doubts in her mother's as well as Tina's stories.
"Was Alex really buying a newspaper for Papá?" Gaby asked Tina.
"Of course I was, Gaby!" Alex lied.
Gaby wasn't buying what her older brother was trying to sell her.
"No lo creo, Alex, I don't think so, Alex." Gaby said.
Before Alex could shoot back at Gaby, Ghostwriter started sending the team a message.
"Ghostwriter?" Alex asked.
Ghostwriter wrote a message that Lenni copied down.
"Oh no!" Gaby shouted, reading the message.
"What is it, Gaby?" Casey asked.
"Three hundred dollars," Gaby read. "stolen from the Elizabeth Mayer grocery store."
"Who is doing this, Alex?" Lenni asked.
"I don't know, Lenni," Alex answered. "but I intend to find out."
