Setting: Ice Mountain

(Barry had asked Y/N to meet him at the ice mountains.)

Barry: Hey! Y/N! Over here!

You made it here in time! Guess I don't have to fine you this time!

So, I've been thinking it's time to shift my focuses elsewhere.

I've decided that I need to train more with my partner so that I can become a cool, tough trainer like my dad!

There are lots of strong Trainers here who give out Level-Up Manuals upon defeat, so I figured I'd get you to come battle along with me!

...What? There needs to be three of us?

Umm, I figured we'd be fine on our own! Right?

Hey, let's have more confidence in our partners' strengths!

Barry: Let's start challenging those Trainers already!

(Y/N and Barry battle Trainer after Trainer together, and ended up with a pile of Level-Up Manuals.)

Barry: We did it! Now let's hurry up and start reading these things!

Hey! It looks like I've reached the max level!

Heh, so happy! I can't even keep a straight face right now!

I'm gonna need some Water Tomes next! Let's head further up the mountain and challenge some Trainers for their Water Tomes!

(Y/N and Barry continue ascending the mountain.)

Barry: Brrrr... it's getting colder and colder.

Hey, Y/N. Are you feeling cold? I can lend you my scarf if you'd like.

[Choice selection]

⁃ But what about you?

Trust me, I'm used to this sort of climate back in Sinnoh.

⁃ I'm fine!

Well, you sure don't look fine to me. I can see you trembling right now.

(Barry removes his scarf and hands it to Y/N.)

Barry: Hey, wear this, okay? I'd be upset if you were to catch a cold.

Here, let me put it on for you.

(Barry wraps his scarf around Y/N's neck and ties it neatly.)

Barry: There you go! All warm and bundled up. Heheh, you look really cute in my scarf! Oh no, my cheeks feel like they are burning again...

[Choice selection]

⁃ It smells just like you!

⁃ I feel closer to you now

Barry: Awww, I'm so glad to hear that from you! Gosh, my heart feels like it's pounding madly again!

(As the two continue travelling upwards, the falling snow began growing heavier and heavier.

Suddenly, an avalanche came sliding down towards their direction.)

Barry: Yikes! Y/N! Watch out!

(Barry pushes Y/N out of the way, but ends up losing his footing and starts sliding down a hill.)

Barry: Ahhhhhhh!!!

(Y/N reacts immediately, grabbing Barry by the arm.)

⁃ Barry! Hang in there!

⁃ Barry! Are you okay?

Barry: Y/N... you're going to fall if you hold on to me...!

What? You don't care about falling as long as you get to be with me?

H-hey! Now's not a good time to make me feel embarrassed...

Ahhhhhhhh!!!!

(Y/N and Barry both went tumbling down the snowy hill and ended up on a patch of snow outside a cave.)

Barry: Ow ow ow! I think I scratched my body on some twigs on the way down.

Are you okay, Y/N?!

Good... you seem to be in a better condition than me!

Oh no... it seems like we can't go back the way we came. There's no way we can scale a slope as steep and slippery as that.

What do you say we retreat into that cave and wait for the weather to get better?

I have a Staraptor with me, but he won't be able to carry us out of here with the snow coming down this heavily.

[Choice selection]

⁃ Sure, let's go!

⁃ That's a great idea!

Barry: Yeah! Hold my hand, Y/N! That way, neither of us will fall over!

(Y/N and Barry head into the cave together, hand-in-hand.)

Barry: Ahh... it feels so much better in here! I felt like I was going to freeze to death out there!

I mean... I thought I was used to this sort of climate back in Sinnoh, but this is on another scale altogether!

(Y/N suddenly hugs Barry and winds her scarf around Barry's neck.)

Barry: A-ah!! ...Sorry, I mean, you wanted to stay warm with me, right? Y-yeah, no problem at all!

C-can I do that to you too?

(Y/N nodded, causing Barry's face to turn red as he returns the hug.)

Barry: Yawn... I'm getting sleepy. I wonder what time it is now. It's hard to figure that out when the sky's all misty and cold.

Oh yeah! I could've just checked my Poryphone, heheh!

...What? It's already 11pm? That's past my bedtime!

Hey, Y/N, you don't mind if I slept here, do you?

We can continue staying like this if you'd like...

I mean, it's in order to preserve our body heat! Yeah, that's it!

(Barry lay on the floor of the cave, and Y/N follows suit. She snuggles against Barry, laying her head against his chest.)

Barry: Eheheh, I'm starting to get used to this. In the past, I would start panicking if you did something like this to me.

This feels so good... I don't feel cold at all with your warm body leaning against mine.

The ground is hard and cold, but nothing beats being together with you like this...

I wish... we could stay like this forever.

Uh oh! I guess I shouldn't have said that. I don't want to jinx our situation further, heheh!

Good night, Y/N...

(The pair fell asleep in each other's arms. Eventually, the dawn breaks and a ray of sunlight shines into the cave where they lay.)

Barry: Yawn... it's so bright and warm. Huh? Where am I? ...Oh, yeah. I fell asleep in this cave last night with Y/N.

Y/N? Are you awake?

⁃ Yes, I am!

⁃ Yup!

Barry: I had a wonderful dream last night! What about you? Did you dream of me? Cause I sure did dream of you!

...What kind of dream was it? Heheh, I'm too embarrassed to say it.

Hey! What's with that dirty look? It wasn't anything sleazy, I promise!

Alright, I'll say it! I dreamt that... I was getting married to you.

T-that was so embarrassing to say! I feel like running away right now.

A-anyway! It seems like the snowstorm outside had subsided. My Staraptor should be able to fly us back to the Pokémon Center now.

(Barry sends out his Staraptor from a Poké Ball.)

Barry: Hey there, pal, would you fly us back to the Pokémon Center?

Come, Y/N, hold my hand! Be sure to grab onto me real tight on Staraptor's back!

(The pair soared through the Pasio skies on Barry's Staraptor, with Y/N hugging against Barry's waist from behind.

They land in front of the Pokémon Center, and Barry recalls his bird Pokémon.)

Barry: My back aches from sleeping on that hard rocky floor all night... I think I'm going to have to return to my room to get some proper rest in bed.

I wish I could invite you along, but the Pokémon Center regulations state that two members of the opposite gender are not allowed to enter the same room at all times...

I guess I'll have to see you later, Y/N! Will text you on our next meeting! Don't be late, or I'm fining you one hundred million!

(Barry waves to Y/N cheerfully and makes his way off.)
