A/N: Told ya updates would be pretty quick since I wrote the first five chapters already.

As Ally waited for the busy traffic to clear up, Prince Austin had explained the tale of how he came to New York while inspecting the insides of the vehicle with intent and curiosity "So I shoved Princess Piper away from that suspicious old woman and I must have tripped since I fell really, really deep. And when I climbed out, there were horseless carriages made of metal and so many towers covered with strange lights! Then, I got lost and perhaps, made a few of the subjects here angry… And I found a castle but turns out, it wasn't a castle, and well… you know the rest."

"Do… you have anywhere to stay for the night?" Ally started after a beat, unsure whether or not to believe his story but morally speaking, she couldn't just leave this man in the middle of nowhere. There was silence as he awkwardly messed with his own hair.

"Maybe a hotel? Where are you staying?"

"I… I don't have anywhere to go,"

"You can stay for the night if you wish!" she spoke up after an awkward silence before she could regret her own choice. After all, it was in her nature to help others in need. That's why she became a teacher in the first place! But… Ally considered it a blessing and a curse at times "We have plenty of room on the couch. Maybe you can go home in the morning."

He thought for a moment before finally answering "Alright, I can work with that…"

Austin inspected the glowing buttons at the door warily. He hadn't seen such magic before. Doors open with just a push of those things and carrying someone to another room. How did they do it?

"That's an elevator," the woman began, breaking his thoughts. Now that he was here, the prince was able to inspect her closely as they made their way to his house for the night. She was on the petite side with dark brown hair tied up in a low ponytail and eyes of the same colour. The woman was dressed in a white blouse with long sleeves and a black skirt. She had on heels that slightly made her look a little taller than she was. It was a little different than what he usually saw but she was rather pretty nonetheless.

At last, they arrived at the door and Ally took out her keys, unlocking the door to her home. She opened it and flipped on a light. He stared at her place in awe, which was odd since it didn't look like anything from a magazine. Now that she noticed, the prince looked slightly out of place in the small yet modern apartment with his dark blue royal coat paired with cream-coloured pants and dark boots. It didn't scream homeless as he claimed but it was a little foreign to her.

She took a few blankets and pillows out from the ottoman and tried to arrange them as neatly as possible so it could be fit for a prince despite her wariness. He was still studying the place with wonder in his eyes. That was apparently all he did ever since he got here. Simply, she just asked sarcastically, too tired to even notice her tone "Anything else, your highness?"

"Oh," the man was brought back to reality before taking off his shoes "Nothing at all but… thank you for your hospitality..."

"Ally," And she went off to tuck Lizzie to bed. Tomorrow, either all this was a dream or he would be robbed. Either way, she didn't care now.

"The washroom's down the hall!"

"Goodnight!"

"I can't believe there's a real prince!" Lizzie squirmed in her bed excitedly as her mother tried to pull up the blankets. She had often dreamed of fairy tales and other things but now… these stories are coming alive!

"Lizzie…" Her mother began slowly "Just because someone is dressed strangely doesn't mean they're royals."

"But I think he may be a real prince," it was just like her mother to dismiss anything that seems related to fantasy and try to think of 'reality.'

"He's a confused man who doesn't know better!" she paused for a moment before kissing her forehead "Good night, you have school tomorrow and it's already late."

"'Night Mommy," Lizzie yawned, burying herself under the blankets as sleep washed over her.

Her mother stood at the doorway for a moment and gave a small smile "Good night," and with that, she turned off the lights as the girl slept through the night…
