I dont own Percy Jackson, if i did there would be a lot changed, Rick Riordan does

After what felt like days of sharpening arrows, Percy was pretty sure that's not what those were, and hours of laundry day was turning to night. And Percy felt famished from his day of exciting chores. So he did what any logical human being would do when in the woods and hungry, he looked for berries and other things he could forage. After a while of looking Percy found a bush of delicious looking blueberries and went to go grab them… and then there was a sharp pain in his leg. Percy's breath hitched as he recognized the pain for Gabriel had used this exact trap as a punishment many times for when he would eat some of the leftover food from the dishes when he was cleaning them. This was a bear trap. One that was meant to trap a bear and hold it in place, and while that's all it does to bears, there's a reason they're called bear traps and not human traps. Percy felt the spike shred into his leg and let out a shout of pure pain. Then he doubled over and started to see visions of his time with Gabriel. Getting flogged in front of the entire house, getting kicked in the face over and over until he blacked out, and on one particularly nasty day, Gabriel would carve things into him and then pour boiling water onto him, healing him but still hurting and leaving the scar on him. Percy faintly heard the voice of a girl saying "we got something" and then seeing the most beautiful brown eyes looking down on him. And then he blacked out from blood loss. Sleep that night was fitful and full of nightmares. He would see more visions of Gabriel punishing him (read torturing), visions of what he thought they would do to him at this school the silver eyed lady mentioned, and of course the inevitable dream of the night of his escape and what they would have done to him had he not escaped.

"Ughhh" groaned Percy as he shifted to his side. As he opened his eyes he saw the familiar ceiling of the tent he woke up in yesterday. "One day" he heard, " it only took you one day to get seriously hurt" said the familiar yet unwanted voice of the auburn haired woman from yesterday. He heard muttering that sounded suspiciously like "idiot" and "stupid boy". "Not only did you manage to get seriously hurt and waste my medical supplies, you also broke one of our bear traps when you stabbed it" now, Percy knew that he had gotten hurt but he had no recollection of him ever stabbing something, or even having something to stab with. "What do you mean i stabbed your bear trap, I didn't even have something to stab with," said Percy in anger of being accused of something he didn't do. "Oh yeah, then what's that" said Artemis pointing to the trident, that seemed to be flickering between a sword that had a yellow tint to the blade and a trident that had an almost blue color but it was still steel. "I've never seen those before in my life" said Percy in a very confused voice. Based on the look on the women's face she clearly didn't believe him. "Whatever" said the women, visibly annoyed, "your lucky my hunters found you otherwise you would have been either bear bait or taken and sold into slavery by some crime ring." said the women. Percy was getting tired of not knowing who he was with or what they were going to do with him. "And who exactly are you, and why do you seem to know more about me than I do?" said Percy in a clearly agitated voice, tired of hiding it. "I am Artemis, honestly how have you not figured out who you're with yet. You must be even dumber than i thought" said the newly named Artemis with a victorious smirk almost like she expected him to be afraid of her now or something. "And as for how i know more about you than you do….. Well I'm just that good" said Artemis again with that smug victorious smirk. Now Percy liked to think he was caught up on things through what he heard Gabriel talk about while he was playing poker with his buddies, and he'd never heard that name before in his life. "Anyways, we are only about a day's run from the school and everyone's packed up except you soo, get moving" said Artemis with a knowing grin, like she knew something he didn't, and with that she left the tent. Now Percy can work fast, but he'd never taken a tent down before due to the fact that he'd never been camping and as such stumbled soo much that he was able to hear laughter from the surrounding trees. That's when he noticed that he was surrounded by around 20 girls all wearing the same outfit. A silver parka, with silver camo cargo pants, with one of them having what appeared to be a tiara on her head. They started shouting what Percy assumed would be helpful tips but with what sounded like practiced effort, they shouted them all at once so that Percy couldn't pick out any one tip and just served to confuse him even more than usual. Which delayed it even more, and when he fell into the tent and looked like a budget ghost costume you'd see on Halloween, the one with the tiara on their head told everyone to go catch up to "ma lady" and that shed catch up with them when this "idiot boy" learns the proper way to put the tent away. And they all seemed to listen with only a few more heckles disappearing into the woods. And then she dropped down onto the ground and looked at him in something that looked like disgust and… was that pity, why would she pity him.
