Bleep! Bleep! Bleep!

That was the noise Scotty was woken up by, he was sure he switched off his alarm clock. It was Christmas Day for god sake.

Of course! It was Christmas day! Scotty leapt from his bed and darted into the bathroom and straight into the shower.

After brushing his teeth he quickly got dressed, since it was a holiday he didn't need to wear uniform. So he threw on anything.

How could he forget it was Christmas Day! He loved this holiday, not to mention he was up all night making a gift for it.

Scotty went to leave his room, but he quickly turned on his heels and walked over to his desk.

"Can't forget Lexie's gift now." He chuckled to himself, picking up a pretty blue, yellow, and red box. Which contained his gift.

"Maybe McCoy was right about my memory?" Scotty questioned to himself, he did forget some things.

With gift now in hand, Scotty left his room and headed to the rec room. To meet up with the others.

When he walked in he almost forgot he was on a Star Ship, the room looked so festive.

"Merry Christmas Scotty." Kirk called as he walked over to him, "Merry Christmas Jim."

The two friends hugged, as McCoy walked over. "Merry Christmas you stubborn Scotsman." He said, handing Scotty a drink.

"And to you Leonard." Scotty replied as he took the drink, before walking over to the tree and placed Lexie's gift under it.

Just in time too, since the doors opened and in walked Lexie with Delta sitting on her shoulder.

Clearly she was in the festive mood, since she was wearing a Christmas jumper and a pair of reindeer antlers.

"Merry Christmas guys!" Lexie and Delta cried, "Merry Christmas you two."

Soon everyone had a drink in hand, most of which were alcoholic. Well it was Christmas after all, so it was acceptable.

Everyone had opened their gifts apart from Lexie, who was sitting talking to Delta in the corner of the room.

Scotty picked up his gift and walked over, hiding the box behind his back. "Hey lass?" "Yeah Scotty?" Lexie answered.

He sat down next to her and pulled out the gift, "Here, this is for you." Lexie gasped quietly as she took the box from him.

"Aww Scotty, you didn't need to get me anything." Scotty smiled, "I know, but I wanted to. Go ahead, open it."

Lexie smiled as she slowly opened the box, when she saw what was inside she looked like she was going to cry.

She reached in and pulled out a large snow globe, where sparkling glitter of yellow and blue swirled around.

"Scotty, its beautiful." Scotty smiled, "Watch this." He reached over and pressed a small button on the side.

Suddenly holographic photos flashed up inside the dome, photos which had been taken over the last seven months.

Lexie was about to speak when she saw the photo of her family pop up, tears instantly swelled in her eyes.

"Did you make this? For me?" Scotty nodded, "Aye lass, that I did. Do you like it?" He asked, slightly nervous.

Lexie wiped the tears from her eyes as she placed the snow globe down gently, before turning back to face the Scotsman.

"Oh Scotty, I love it. Thank you." Lexie cried as she threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly.

Scotty smiled as he hugged her back, "You're welcome lass."

Lexie let go of Scotty and picked the snow globe up once more, "How did you come up with the idea for this?"

"It just came to me, that's all." Scotty replied, he didn't really know how he would explain the origin of the idea.

"You know, this feels like the first Christmas I've had in years." Lexie stated as she gently shook the globe.

"Is it a good one?" Questioned Scotty, "Of course it is, I'm surrounded by family, I wouldn't want to spend it with anyone else."

Lexie replied as she rested her head on the Scotsman's shoulder, as she stared intensely at the snow globe.

McCoy glanced over and he couldn't help but smile at his two friends, Scotty made such a good surrogate father for Lexie.

The CMO just hoped that the Scotsman would talk to Lexie about the 'dad' thing, but he would let him off today.

It was Christmas after all, besides it was the first one the girl had spent with people who loved her. So it was truly magical.
