Chapter Four - A New Beginning

Kris looked upon the girl in amazement. Her golden flowing locks and red eyes draw him into her presence as if he felt a sense of calmness within, calmness he feels only with his family. The girl then said weakly: "Please… is anybody there?"

He stood frozen and couldn't believe this, a person other than here has been trapped down within this hell and at first he thought that it was impossible. But if his previous adventures taught him anything, always know when something is truly wrong. Taking a step he didn't notice anything abnormal or showing signs of it being a trap. The girl then said: "Please… let me out of here."

Crossing his arms he said: "And why should I? There could be a lot of reasons why you are down here. And there is no real reason as to why in the hell would I believe someone he has been locked away down in this hell. It looks like you have been sealed away in there… but it could also be a trap as you are an illusion being used by a monster to lure me in."

Taking a step forward he kept on walking as he continued saying: "For all I could know you could be a bringer about Armageddon or a planet buster for all I care, so why should I help you?"

The girl and him stood face to face as her lip trembled and she said: "You're wrong I'm not… I… I… I WAS BETRAYED!"

Seeing tears and feeling her emotions were not fake. Sighing yiredly he remembered Daisuke's smiling face and he clenched his fist and said: "You said that you were betrayed. But that never even scratched the question as to why you are down here and locked away like a relic. So tell me the reason."

She whimpered and said: "My name… my name is Aletia Galdea Vesperitio Avatar. I am a vampire. I had very unique and unnatural powers for my life since I was twelve. I had worked for the sake of my people… but one day my vassals deemed me no longer necessary. He said that I was no longer the master of my people and that he was the master now… and that my powers are too dangerous for him… because he couldn't kill me, I had been sealed away here."

Pondering on this Kris had remembered the Vampires had been driven to extinction or endangered long ago, exactly 300 years. So she must have had a regeneration power and he said: "Regeneration, your body had developed a form of regeneration preventing any normal ways or means of killing you and in the process stopped your aging."

She nodded her head and said: "But what made him fear me the most was I was able to easily manipulate mana directly… but after I have recovered I can be of some use to you."

That felt sick to his stomach slavery of the oldest fashion to him was sickening. Sighing, he placed his hand on the prison and said: "You live your own life, you don't have to live for anyone else. It is your choice."

Tears formed into her eyes as she said: "Please… save me."

Activating transmutation he began changing and shifting the rock prison but he felt his magic being siphoned from his body and how that material was becoming harder to shift. He snarled and roared out as his eyes turned into his scarlet crimson eyes shocking her as she saw light acting like flames flowing from them wavy in the air as her prison began to crumble and fall apart. But she couldn't help but be drawn to his eyes, his presence as it felt like a setting sun in the fall by a campfire in a forest. So unpredictable, dangerous and yet calming all in one. Catching her into his body he smirked and said: "Well that wasn't so difficult… it was good practice for me."

Closing his eyes he felt two gentle soft hands hold his ragged glove hand and heard Aletia say: "Th… thank you."

Smiling gently which caused her to blush as he replied: "Your welcome."

Looking at him she asked: "What is your name?"

Grabbing his back he flung it on his shoulders and said: "I was once called Hajime Nagumo, but call me Kris Dreemur, Aletia."

She frowned and asked: "Can you please call me by something else, I don't like that name anymore."

Looking at her wavy golden hair he pondered on the many names that coursed through his mind till he landed on one he liked. Smiling he said: "Yue …" she looked at him confusingly and he replied gently grasping the end of her hair and saying: "Your hair reminds me of the moon because it shines as golden as the moon."

She blushed and nodded her head and noticed he handed her the wolf pelt and said: "Here, we can't have you walking out of here nude."

She looked down and blushed a bright red and took the pelt before saying: "You're a pervert, Kris."

His brow twitched as he stood up and turned away. Still this was too easy, nothing of this, rescuing a damsel in distress… then his sixth sense went on high alert as he used divine step to lunge at Yue who finished wrapping herself in the fur and found herself in the arm of her hero again. But where they once stood was a massive scorpion that dropped from the ceiling and crashed down on their previous positions. Grabbing his gun after positioning Yue on the bag and said: "Seems like… it doesn't want me to rescue the princess."

She remained silent and afraid till she felt his right pink vrabbed hers giving her some reassurance making her smile. Setting her down with the bag behind a pillar he said: "Don't worry this won't be long."

She nodded and grabbed his sleeve. Giving a sad smile he patted her head after setting his gun down and rushed out in a flicker appearing above it and opened fire. Kris noticed how easily the bullets bounced off the monster's shell making it bullet proof even his last shot could pierce a tank it only scratched the armor. Growling he said: "Damn it, it didn't even flinch… this beast is completely different from the rest. But I am not abandoning Yue, I am not betraying anyone."

As a pincer was thrusted at him he used his insane speed to dodge and avoid the attack and bounced all around the beast causing it to thrash wildly destroying the pillars as they were for decoration mainly. But Kris had shot at every possible weak point on it and nothing happened. Skidding to a stop he said: "That is one hard shell, I am completely shell shocked…" Kris then heard a feminine giggle and saw Yue laughing.

That was a really bad joke, guess she likes puns and jokes. But he rarely ever did them except with Sans, conjuring a grenade he chunked and shouted: "Let's heat things up."

As the grenade exploded before the scorpion it screached it was covered in flames. Yue looked on in astonishment seeing her rescuer in action and her only thoughts were: 'He is not using magic symbols or even enchantion… he is completely controlling the mana itself.'

The scorpion screeched and raised its two tails and around the stingers razor sharp projectiles began firing. Kris saw they were heading for Yue who had little to no cover and he speed toward her and tackled her as four lodged into his back back him grunt out in pain and ge said with a pained smile: "This fucking stings."

She looked at him as they vanished behind a downed pillar as the scorpion was looking for them and he said: "Fuck…" grabbing one in his back he yanked it out and she said: "Hajime?"

He smiled softly and said: "I'm fine, don't worry this is nothing."

She trembled and said with tears: "Why… Why are you trying so hard to save me? I'm useless, I'm weak, I couldn't even stop my own uncle from dethroning me!"

Placing a hand on her head and he said: "You are not weak or a burden. Those who betrayed you had the upper hand, but now this time you are here and you can forge your own path, your own destiny. Not one that has been set before you."

Her lips trembled before she smiled and climbed off of him and soon he asked: "What are you…" and then he found it, he felt something sucking on his neck and saw Yue sucking on his blood and remembered a vampire needs blood to grow stronger so the water wouldn't do and they could not eat normal food. Looking at the scorpion who aimed it's stingers at use as poisoned bubbled at the tip he used transmute and formed a rock barrier around them as the scorpion fired high pressured venom at them slowly chipping away at the barrier. But as the benom.stopped a large hole appeared and Yue licked where she had bitten and said: "Delicious."

As she stepped out and raised her hand into the area a blue flaming fireball of light appeared and she said in a serious tone: "Azure Sky."

Chopping down with her hand the scorpion took the impact of the fire ball causing it to screech and cry out in pain. Kris appeared and caught her and said: "Nicely done Gue, don't worry leave the rest to me."

She nodded and let him end this. Frisk held out his gun and appearing on it was a blade on the top and bottom of the barrel giving the weapon 18 more centimeters. Using Gale claw and the lightning he mounted on top of the head and thrusted into it's exposed cranium and pulled the trigger causing the entire head to explode. Pulling out the weapon the blade grumbled and broke off and he hummed in annoyance, that was a prototype, guess augments won't work unless they are built into it. Guess when he could he can rebuild Retribution and possible more of an arsenal as well. After several days falling into the pits of hell, a door suddenly appeared and behind that door was Pandora's box one filled with many disasters and yet much needed hope in the world, hope that would shine like a beacon.

Days back after Kris had fallen into the abyss the Hero party had successfully returned to the surface covered in wounds, bruised egos and trauma. All came to realise something, Frisk was correct this is no fairy tale story, a show where you never die or even a video game with multiple lives, this was reality. Ryou, Kouki and Shizuku and Meld stood before Ishtar and the King on matters of the labyrinth. The King Elineld S.B. Heiligh frowned as Meld explained about the newest trap they encountered on the twentieth floor that took them to the behemoth's layer. Ishtar frowned and said: "This is most troubling, and to think one of our heroes had fallen into battle."

Elineld nodded and said: "But he had slain the behemoth marking the sixty-fifth floor boss to be slain and non-respawnable until all the floors have been cleared or ten years have passed. But word has already spread of young Hajime's demise and yet many are honoring him for his heroic sacrifice and slaying the behemoth calling him the Beast Slayer."

The three heroes looked surprised and Ishtar nodded and said: "Whether je somehow survived or not is a mystery. No one knows what lies beyond the behemoths lair. Until then we must not speak of what had happened into the Labyrinth, the Demons believe you all cleared up to the Bebemoth's lair and are resting from the tiresome adventure, use this time to rest and recover and remain silent on the matter."

The heroes nodded and Shizuku returned to Kaori's side who had tried to jump after Hajime, but Meld had to knock her unconscious. Still the king was correct everything would be on another playing field. Everyone of them has come to terms they are not in tutorial mode or anything, this was a life and death mission now and everything was for keeps. Shizuku looked at the sleeping Kaori and frowned; she had cried herself to sleep learning of Hajime's demise again. She watched as her best friend sniffled tiredly and held something, it was a journal, a journal belonging to Hajime and they all saw notes about their skills and abilities and different creative ways to utilize them. Grabbing her wooden kendo sword she began to practice as the moment of her classmate's sacrifice had blared in her mind and how she saw one of the spells went haywired when the behemoth was too close and he stabbed it's eye.

But as she practiced, Daisuke walked past her in complete terror at his actions and she noticed him and she heard him mutter: "I can't believe it… I did it… I did it… no one saw me, no one knows that I did it."

He entered a door and was gone. She pondered on jis words and wondered if he had something to do with it or accidentally caused it as Daisuke and Hajime always had issues with one another. In fact Hajime had many issues with a lot of the class as not only did he rank second in everything back home, but he always disagreed with Kouki and countered everything their leader had. Back in the present Kris was examining the scorpion and was glad he had found some dead limbs and tree roots to start a fire as he and Yue sat together. Kris examined the exoskeleton material of the scorpion he had brought and said: "From what you told me, you are at least barely over 300 years old."

Yue gabe him a flat look and said: "That is such a rude thing to say to a lady."

Kris replied: "Can't be helped Yue, you are probably the very last Vampire. Every book and documentation I've read about Vampires and war had driven them to extinction 300 years ago. But do all Vampires live an extremely long life? I know you can because of your ability."

Then he thought: 'Which apparently is a bootleg copy of Wolverine's.'

She shook her head and said: "No Vampires only live half longer than humans. By twelve my ability had emerged, by 17 I was the Queen of Vampires and when I turned 24 I was imprisoned down here by my own Uncle."

Grunted he replied: "Figuress, after your parents had fallen he probably began searching for a way to overthrow you and become King but in the end he was killed."

She looked saddened hearing that she was truly all alone as a race. He stopped grounding something in an alchemist bowl and said: "But that leads to a positive. You met me and you saw how more powerful I am compared to others."

She then stuck her nose up and said: "Still I have more comparability with all types of magic, and can use them without incantation!"

His brow began to twitch violently as a tick mark formed and he looked annoyed. Looking out he asked: "Do you know exactly where we are?"

She shook her head and said: "I don't know where we are… but… it is said that this very labyrinth was made by one of the traitors, a group called the Mavericks."

Looking confused he asked: "The Mavericks?"

She nodded and said: "Traitors. They were all once followers of god and challenged him in ancient times. It was even said they even tried to destroy the world itself. But the plan was discovered by god and the entire world turned against them and most of them were executed, but survivors fled and they built the eight great Labyrinths and that they lived in the depths of them."

Frowning Kris replied: "I doubt it."

She looked at him and he said while grounding some minerals: "Back home everyone believed monsters had the power to steal human souls. Honestly that was the biggest load of bullshit that lasted for hundreds of years and everyone bought that shit till I proved them all wrong as the only way a monster can gain a human soul is they give it to them. Don't believe everything a higher person in power says, discover everything before making assumptions."

She crawled next to him and he said: "You can get some rest, I have several other things to finish before I go to bed myself."

She looked at him and asked: "So why and how did you get here?"

Sighing as he sat the bowl down and checked the powder within it and said: "Guess I should explain it, my life may sound interesting but it isn't…" he then began explaining how he ended up in this world.

Holding sgone he then said: "Honestly if it wasn't for this stone I wouldn't even be alive. Still I had just learned that it is a legendary treasure called God's tear. It produces a potion that can heal anything, but it can only allow one instant buff if you devoured monster meat. But I am planning on going home, my homeland is something I am proud of to call home. Humans and monsters living in harmony is something I'd built and the world is at peace, much better than this jelly joke. But I am taking you with me."

She looked up and he brushed away some tears and said: "You have nobody else but me here, it would be crazy not to come with me. And besides if anyone above discovered you're the last Vampire the church would hunt you down."

She held his hand and he then said: "But first I have to get stronger and find us a way to get back to my home."

She then asked: "What about your classmates?"

Frowning he held up a long gun barrel he had been working on and said: "What about them, possible most of them planned to kill me from the beginning and Kouki would be glad someone isn't telling him otherwise and how he should proceed with things. That idiot has gotten himself in so many situations here he nearly led us into several ambushes."

Yue noticed the barrel and asked: "What is that you are working on?"

Examining the barrel he said: "Secondary weapon, Retribution is my primary weapon, but it lacks fire power and if it wasn't for that attachment and Yue that scorpion would still be alive. Till I can find a proper workbench I can not create any other things, so for now I have to craft a weapon that can fish out a lot of power. That scorpion exoskeleton was made shtal an ore that gains density with how much mana is put into it, so I need a weapon that can break through that. Overall I do have some good beast meat from it…" he grabbed the cooked scorpion meat and bit into it and she looked at him confusingly as he finished it and downed the God's tear drink.

He then asked: "Yue are you hungry."

She nodded and pointed at him and licked her lips and said: "Kris, you were so detectable and tasty, a mature taste, like a stew of meat and vegetables slowly cooked to perfection that the liquid was deep and thick."

He looked away as she had stood up at the moment he went back to work. Checking the powder and seeing it was at the perfect texture he smirked. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the pelt hit the floor and looked up gaping seeing her completely nude body and realized something, she had inverted nipples that were sticking out and a bit of bush going. His brain immediately shut down and if the guys back home ever found this out, he'd never hear the end of it. Yue growled up to him seductively and Kris felt every bit of the predators he devoured in his blood yelling at him to take her and make her his. Kris locked fingers with hers and she started blush as he leaned into her neck and began leaving a trail of kisses as she moaned and began feasting on him.

Each other's hands found the other's torso as Yue ripped open his shirt and both entered a full blown make out as she began dry humping his crotch, till she collapsed into him as he had pinched a nerve into her neck knocking her out. Kris' eyes glowed wildly and he had the look of a predator and didn't want to take it too far or do something they'd both regret. Laying out the bear pelt he placed her on it before covering her with the wolf pelt and closed most of their caves entrance, but left room for air circulation. Sighing he looked down at her and saw he made great progress and set the items off to the side and laid next to her hearing she was whimpering. He pulled her close so she could feel his presence and joined her in the land of dreams. Outside the sealed cave beast lurked about hunting down some prey for them to feast upon, but never saw the sleeping duo or the small holes for air.

OVA 4

Sans yawned as Papyrus, Torie, Asriel and Asgore sat around the book and Torie looked happy about having another daughter and future grandchildren. Asgore shook his head at his wife and looked at Sans and said: "Has there been any breakthroughs yet?"

Sans shook his head and said: "Alphys has been discovering there are multiple universes, and few of them we are actually in and one she found funny was our roles were reversed, Papyrus being in my shoes, Torie acting as Queen and you in self-exile. But Flowey remained."

Asriel shivered and shacked about that history being revisited. Papyrus then said: "Seems young Frisk has been through enough mental trauma and yet hasn't lost himself. At least he made a friend who knows his pain."

Sans said: "You're right Paps, I can't help but pity her. But a Queen, Asgore you and your kids can sure can pick 'em."

Asgore chuckled and Asriel blushed knowing how fiesty Chara can be at times. But this Yue was clinging and clung to Frisk helplessly almost like a yandere. The thought of her becoming one was bad, but Chara was one as well and if the two meg he and Frisk would never ever get any sleep. As the Skelebros left the residence, they looked upon the mountain as they began to remember the past. Sans sighed and found him and Papyrus at Frisk old hideout, it was not far from the hole he fell down in and they noticed several things. A hammock, a chest, a scythe and a trap door. Papyrus pulled it open and they saw a ladder and began climbing down and both gaped, finding themselves in a bunker that one can actually live a normal life. They noticed a bunk bed and a hammock with the bunk beds have two names carved into them, several trunks containing some old things, an empty kitchen, a fully functioning bathroom, a generator that uses magic to power the bunker for years and a training room. Sans noticed a journal on a desk and turned it open as the first page said: "Day 001, Things have started to change. After I freed everyone from the Underground my mission was to help humans and monsters live in peace. I know things will be difficult but my determination is unwavering."

Turning the page it said: "Day 005, Chara has been shouting in my mind wanting a way out after I had brought Flowey to the service. She wants her and Asriel to be freed from their torments, so I asked Sans and Alphys for answers and thus our project began."

Sans smiled and turned the page as it said: "Day013, so far so good a synthetic body and Asriel regaining his lost soul is progressing ahead of schedule. If all hoes to.play we'll be a month ahead of schedule."

Next page said: "Day 021, In a week everything will pay off. But today me, Chara and Asriel discovered this secret hollow area. Seems we discovered a crater from a meteorite, so we decided to build a base to hide our secret base. I had asked Asgore to help us lay out the floor as we wanted to build a fort, but when it was complete I would open up the passage to the real secret base."

Sans looked around in amazement as the next few pages discussed how they molded the base after Chara and Asriel were normal. Till the next page he found daid: "Day 087, We finally finished. Took a lot of time and energy with the unknowingly help of everyone our base was constructed. Asriel and Chara bantered about the name, but we all agreed on the Light Rune."

Sans chuckled and the next page said: "Day 158, It's been days since I had some free time. School was hectic, but being sent to a world of darkness was pure chaos. At least I came back, I hope Asriel is fine back in the Underground with pops as there were some things he and everyone else went back to grab."

Flipping through some more pages he found the next few days were small time things he, Chara, Asriel and Mk got themselves into till the next page said: "Day 3351, Torie and Asgore said I'd be heading for Japan. Studying abroad and to help Japan see the positives of living with monsters. Though I have to do this, this is my last entry. Hope Japan understands like most of the world does."

Sans sighed, maybe if he wasn't so focused on bringing peace to the world he wouldn't be in this mess.
