Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Crimson Crusaders. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own GL, DC does.

Rainault looked to the side while trying to figure out how his ring worked. This device siphoned his pure rage into energy. It was interesting, but confusing.

"How does one device store so much pure energy?" Rainault muttered while he looked up and at the others.

"Hmm…" Rainault muttered to himself while another lantern floated towards him.

"I see a weak warrior…." The lantern stated which caused Rainault to cross his arms. "Tell me, warrior, what are you?" Rainault heard the warrior question as he shook his head back and forth.

"I'm guessing that you're a warrior from another planet like I am?" Rainault muttered as he cracked his fingers. "And I'm guessing that you are new blood?" Rainault asked with a raised eyebrow.

The warrior had orange skin; 8 arms similar to the arachnids which his people used to hunt. He was sure that he'd want to point that the warrior was arrogant.

He knew for a fact that they were sizing him up as he was them. He was a fighter, perhaps… But they were undisciplined. Their crossing of their arms told him that this soldier wasn't used to combat.

"You're a not a warrior like me." Rainault said as he floated towards the ground. "And you clearly don't know me if you think me weak. I have fought more battles to protect my people then you have possibly seen. Who are you to judge my prowess in the art of combat?" Rainault questioned with a raised eyebrow.

The other lantern rolled his eyes at this only for Rainault to walk past them. He was stopped for a moment which caused him to turn and glare at the lantern who looked at him with at least a dozen eyes.

"You do not know me either." The lantern put in as he turned to glare at Rainault.

"And I do not have the time for such pleasantries anyway." Rainault stated as he brushed their hand from his side. "I am eager to explore. Figure out why this ring has chosen me and why I have been summoned to such a planet." Rainault muttered to himself as he looked up at the sky.

This planet didn't fill him with rage. The treason of one of his own. Someone who would sell out their own people for nothing but power and money. They would be dragged into the dust and pummeled until they were nothing but paste. Rainault wouldn't forgive the betrayal which might have destroyed his people.

"Tell me, what dishonor has brought you here to this holy place?" Rainault heard from the lantern.

"Holy?" Rainault questioned which caused him to turn to look at the lantern. "What is holy about this place? It reeks of battle and blood; I would not find many species who view that as a holy testament." Rainault stated which caused the lantern to chuckle with amusement.

"It is because rage is holy in its own way." The lantern put in which caused Rainault to raise an eyebrow. "Rage is as much of an emotion as any other… To deny it is to deny your own soul. My rage has saved me from a fate that none should suffer… But I did. I felt such rage to see my home burn while nobody tried to stop it." Rainault heard which caused him to crack his neck.

He was quite tired; he was quite interested in what was happening when it came down to it. He looked at the lantern with such an interest while looking down at the warrior.

"Your people are gone as well?" Rainault asked while he looked to the side. "Tell me, were you betrayed by one of your own like me?" Rainault asked as he turned to look at his surroundings.

Rainault could only ponder what other people were drawn here. There was certainly an interesting group of people who had been brought here.

"No… But they might have well have been." Rainault heard the warrior point out. "Whoever caused the riot or whatever it was when it destroyed my people? I will tear them to shreds and make sure that they suffer and pay with justice." Rainault heard from the warrior as he turned and fled into the atmosphere.

Rainault could respect justice. Still, he was such curious when it came down to what would happen.

Rainault pondered what was going to happen next. There was something quite interesting happening.

Whatever happened next? He needed to make sure that he was ready for it when it arrived.

"Hmm…" Rainault muttered as he flew into the sky once more. There was something that made him feel off and he would find it sooner or later.

Whatever twisted monsters came to this planet would be slain. Rainault would rain pain and destruction upon them. He would batter them into nothing.

He would shatter them like glass.
