Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Swamp Reaper. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own WATHK, Nippon Ichi Software and Sony do.

(Medea.)

Amicus slept on the windowsill while Arecchino looked at the reaper. His Mana was drained for the day and the reaper was too exhausted to do anything.

The reaper was awakened when a spark of green magic shocked him, he growled and looked at Metallia as the swamp witch smirked at him.

"You know I can't bloom pillars if I'm worn out, right?" Amicus asked while letting out a sigh and floating down from the windowsill. He looked down and ran his scythe across the ground with annoyance.

"If I had my army, we'd have control of this dimension." Amicus muttered while resting the weapon on his shoulder. "But due to someone limiting my power so vastly…" Amicus added while looking at Metallia.

"You damn well know what you'd do with your army if you had it." Metallia responded which caused Amicus to hum at the swamp witch. "What are you thinking of doing? Starting a war?" Metallia questioned to which Amicus banged his scythe on the ground.

It caused a magical map of the kingdom and regions surrounding it to pop up.

"Well, considering we are near another witch's territory and it's only a matter of time till they expand?" Amicus questioned as he pointed at the map with his weapon. "Unless you have more witch soldiers then both of us? You're going to have a very short war on your hands. Both me and my brother are weakened enough to be killed." Amicus stated and let out another yawn.

It dawned entirely on Metallia that she had no army if another witch arrived on her land… And considering how much of the war depended on her ability to respond. Metallia was a powerful witch.

But she knew more than anything she'd die if she stepped outside of the swamp.

"Ugh, fine, I'll make some witch soldiers." Metallia put in as she waved her hands around and left to go upstairs.

"You're a very pain in the ass butler." Amicus stated to Arecchino and tapped his scythe on the ground.

Amicus was about to walk upstairs to question Metallia before he heard choking.

"Lady Metallia?" Amicus questioned as he walked upstairs. He hummed.

He blinked as he walked up the to the door. Amicus leaned on the door and hummed.

There was a faint choke then nothing. Amicus blinked before kicking the door open.

Metallia laid on the ground, liquid frothing in her mouth. Amicus slowly crossed over the room.

"Metallia?" Amicus questioned as he poked the girl with his scythe. "Poison?" Amicus asked while examining the object on the ground.

The Hundred Knight joined his sibling who blinked and looked over the body of their master. Hundred Knight tilted his head which caused Amicus to blink.

"Why is she…?" Amicus questioned before tapping the swamp witch with his scythe. "She isn't dead. We would be released if she was." Amicus stated with a blink as he looked at the swamp witch with interest.

Amicus hummed as his brother started to bounce on the bed, looking at his brother with a childlike interest which caused him to chuckle with amusement.

"Bah, this is something else." Amicus said while looking around with interest. "Brother, I will deal with the swamp witch, you stay here and make sure everything stays like how it should be at the moment." Amicus ordered as he looked around once more.

He couldn't ponder what will happen soon enough. He doubted another witch had done this; it was far too regal a idea for a simple witch to try.

"Then who would do this…?" Amicus said while he pondered what happened at the moment.

Still? There was very little once more as he looked around once more as he looked would happen next. He knew for a fact that there was plenty to happen at the moment.

"Then perhaps betrayal from inwards?" Amicus questioned while rubbing at his temples with a hum. "Ugh, this is most annoying more then anything. The great king of the dead reduced to a servant of a witch." Amicus said as he cradled Metallia in his hands.

He said nothing at the moment, simply curious as to what had brought them to her mind. It took far more power then one alone could control to bring them here.

Yet Metallia had done so, bringing the warriors from one plane of existence to this one. A very impressive feat for a single witch on their own.

It made Amicus grow some small measure of respect, but he didn't know who the swamp witch was.

And yet? He would soon enough, that was something that he would have to wonder what happened next.

There was still a war to be fought. One that he planned on winning.

"Time to return to the world of the living, swamp witch." Amicus said before summoning his scythe to his hand as he turned to the witch.

Author notes

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that next chapter will be delayed by a bit. Next chapter is 900-1500 words and will show Metallia and Amicus bonding more and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: Next chapter will be followed by more chapters if possible, hopefully soon enough down the road.
