Mission 1-2: Escape at Mt. Saijo

Encamped on Mt. Saijo, overlooking the battlefield of Kawanakajima, the unknown leader had prepared to engage with Zhao Yun's main fore based in Kaizu Castle. The Coalition Army set in motion a strategy devised by Kansuke Yamamoto, whereby a mobile unit featuring A young warrior would launch a sneat attack on Mt. Saijo. The plan was to force the unknown leader's men down the mountain and onto the Hachimanbara plains, where the main body of Zhao Yun's army would be lying in wait. Just as young warrior had anticipated, the area around Kawanakajima was enshrouded in thick fog. His mobile unit moved stealthy along the dark path, making sure not to be noticed by the mysterious forces.

-Kawanakajima: Mt. Saijo Territory-

Soldier: "Young warrior, visibility is very low. Lead on, but do not lose your way."

Me: "Leave it to me. I know this area very well. Mt. Saijo will be ours by daybreak."

The Coalition Army has begun the nightime raid battle!

Me: "We must claim Mt. Saijo by dawn, and lure enemy leader out onto the Hachimanbara plains."

Defeat the Baracks Captain at the Mt. Saijo Garrison!

Uraraka: "Young master! It's hard for our men to see at night. This will be very different to a daytime battle!"

Be careful how you fight during night attacks! A scout has noticed the Coalition Army and is fleeing! Prevent the Scouts from entering the Mt. Saijo Eastern Garrison!

Me: "An unknown scout. If the garrison are alerted to our presence, this will be trouble."

Uraraka: "Young master, there is a fixed time by which the battle must be completed!"

Me: "I am well aware of that. We must read the battle carefully and take our opportunity before it is too late."

Successfully launched an ambush againats the Mt. Saijo Eastern Garrison! The enemy forces are in a state of panic!

Baracks Captain: "Th-The enemy is attacking! The Coalition have launched a sneak attack!"

Me: "We in the mobile unit must attack unknown's forces encamped atp Mt. Saijo. That will force them down the slope. Master Zhao Yun's main forces await on the Hachimanbara plains below. We will have them surrounded. This is the plan which our strategist. Lord Kansuke Yamamoto, has devised for us."

Uraraka: "Like a woodpecker pecking at the tree to force out the bugs... So that's why he called it the Woodpecker Strategy!"

Me: "The enemy has scouts here. Although the next garrison is the last one... It seems almost too easy."

Uraraka: "Young master, we cannot find the enemy leader themself anywhere."

Me: "That is disturbing... I fear Master Zhao Yun is in danger. We must hurry back to the main camp."

Ensure that young warrior reaches Coalition Army Main Camp! The gates to the Chikuma River are open! Night Assault Captain have appeared in order to ambush the Coalition Army forces!

Uraraka: "Young master, attacks from ninjas and other specialist units are more common at night. Take care!"

Defeat all Night Assault Captains by dawn!

Me: "Any ninjas must be eliminated on sight. If we are obstructed then subsequent units will be delayed."

Uraraka: "Young master?! We must inform our commander first..."

Me: "We have no time for that."

Young warrior is using the stratagems to secure nightime visibility for the entire army! The portable lanterns brought into Kaizu Castle have been lit! The Coalition Army have secured visibility! Their marching speed has increased!

Me: "Issue a directive to all forces to exercise extreme caution."

Uraraka: "This will allow our troops to move much more quikly!"

Advance toward the Chikuma River in order to reach the Coalition Army Main Camp!

Soldier: "A Coalition Mobile Unit! They have arrived more quickly then we imagined..."

Defeat the unknown officer and cross the river!

Me: "They have anticipated our attack and left some men behind. They have already gone down the mountain."

Soldier: "Boy! I have no quarrel with you, but I will not forget the shame of being driven out of our tribe!"

Me: "You allowed your anger to drive you foward without a plan. That is why you will always lose."

Uraraka: "Once the sun rises, enemy moral will rise as well... It will become harder to reach the main camp!"

Me: "We must make as much groung as possible before dawn. That may well decide the fate of this battle."

The gate along the Chikuma River is open!

?: "There you are, warrior. You're trying to steal the Heart of Sisudatu?"

Soldier: "So the enemy leader had already gone down the mountain during the night...? They anticipated the Woodpecker Strategy!"

Messenger: "The enemy leader has alunched a strike at the Coalition Main Camp! Zhao Yun is engaging them in battle!"

Me: "We have been comprehensively outthought. But I will not allow Master Zhao Yun to be slain!"

Do not allow Zhao Yun to be defeated! Young warrior is using the stratagem to using Yukimura Sanada to protect Zhao Yun!

Yukimura: "You will not reach our lord!"

Yukimura Sanada is enganging enemy leader in battle in order to halt the attack against Zhao Yun!

Zilong: "Your timing couldn't have been better."

Me: "Master Yukimura has done well. I am glad we left the protection of Master Zhao Yun to them. This should allow the Woodpecker Unit to advance with confidence."

Soldier: "Our leader read the enemy perfectly. Waiting here to ambush them was the ideal strategy!"

Me: "You must be the rear guard. Then the leader themself must be near."

Defeat the rear guard! The Rear Guard Camp gates are open! Unknown Army, morale decreased!

Soldier: "I will not allow you to interfere with leader's moment of pure ecstasy..."

Defeat the Unknown Army!

Soldier: "Our leader is savoring the moment of their encounter with her nemesis. She must not be disturbed."

Me: "Unfortunately, I care not for her estechic pleasure. Call me a philistine if you must, but I will get past!"

Soldier: "You appear to have a rare resolbve. I will allow you to survive for now."

The Coalition Army Main Camp gates are open! Advance toward the Coalition Army Main Camp! Successfully reached the main camp!

Zilong: "So... You're here!"

?: "I'm gonna kill you, now!"

Me: "Hyeaaahhh!"

Young warrior using the power to distract them!

Me: "Who are you? Do you dare to fight our master?"

Fang Tribe Leader

Namaari: "I am Namaari, the leader of the Fang Tribe. And this is not your problem. I'm here to claim back the Heart of Sisudatu because of him!"

Namaari has retreat!

Me: "I apologize for interrupting, Master."

Zilong: "Not at all. I am impressed. It would seem the hour of judgement is upon us."

The Coalition Army has claimed a victory!
