Hopefully this chapter will cover most of the events of the remainder of initiation.

Emerald forest,Remnant, 11:45

Zîv Jaf was lost.

Well, not really. She knew what time it was by looking at the sun, and as long as this place's-Remnant, she'd heard Ruby mention- sun was in almost the same place as home, she should know the cardinal directions. Weiss, as she learned to be the name of White Hair, obviously didn't. They'd been walking around for about 35 minutes since Ruby caught up with her, and hadn't gotten to the ruins yet, although Weiss insisted she knew where she was going.

"Admit it, you're lost." Zîv stated, hopelessly trying to get Weiss to actually think for a second. "Of course I know where it is, it's that way!" Weiss says,walking in a direction that was probably away from where they were meant to be going. "Fine, I'm lost, it's not like you can do any better!" Weiss countered, probably expecting both Zîv and Ruby to not have an idea of navigation.

Weiss was very wrong.

"You mentioned the ruins you and Ruby are supposed to be headed to are in the northern part of the forest. North is that way." Zîv says while pointing north into the forest. "How do you know that?" Weiss responded, shocked about how Zîv had easily discerned direction. "Simple, the sun rises in the east, and it sets in the west. For figuring out north and south, it's easy as seeing where east and west are. I'm surprised you don't know these things." Zîv explained, clearly trying to knock down the heiress a peg or two. The heiress was about to respond, but stopped as they saw something flying in the air.

That is one big bird.

Ruby immediately looked at it and looked like she had an idea, one which Zîv could guess and was fairly not for.

"Ruby, no."

In the skies near the Emerald Forest Ruins, Remnant,12:00

Zîv had no idea on how Ruby had managed to convince both her and Weiss that this was a good idea.

It'd taken the big black bird about five minutes to get close enough for the three girls to grab onto it, and it had been flying north since then. Weiss was equally questioning their decision to grab onto this thing, getting an argument with Ruby once again.

"Well why don't we just jump!"

Finally, something the red-hooded girl said that Zîv could agree with. Even if she doesn't survive the fall, at least she'll be out of this hell. While Weiss attempted to argue with Ruby, both the red tipped girl and the miltiawoman let go of the massive feathery mass.

As Zîv descended, she aimed for a branch to break her fall,as she was pretty sure she'd break her legs on impact otherwise. She hit it, but then proceeded to crash into a bush after failing to get a grip on the branch. There was a period of a second where she literally could not get up, although she could tell something loud was happening right next to her. As she got up, she saw the ruins Ruby and Weiss were probably looking for, with some people near them. One of them was black haired, with a bow on her head. Another had long blonde hair. She saw Ruby bolt out of the woods towards them,so she figured she could trust them. As Zîv walked towards them, the yellow haired girl had appeared to notice her. "Hey Ruby, is that a friend of yours?" She asked, probably trying to figure out who Zîv was. "Yeah Yang, her name's Zîv!" Ruby answered. The now-named Yang then proceeded to make a comment on the outfit Zîv was wearing, but she wasn't listening,as she was thinking for a second before realizing something.

"Wait, did Weiss get off that bird?"

That question was soon answered when everyone looked up to Weiss hanging on to the giant bird-a Nevermore, if she remembered what Ruby said. Weiss lost her grip, plummeting to the ground below. Out of the direction where Ruby came out of, a blond boy jumped, probably trying to catch Weiss and act like a bigshot hero. It went as Zîv imagined it would, poorly. The blond managed to catch Weiss,but immediately lost his grip and fell. Weiss fell right on top of him, not appearing to be hurt.

How did she survive that? I'd probably have many broken bones at that height.

Questioning how the heiress survived the fall aside, Zîv was looking at the ruins behind them, seeing chess pieces on pedestals. She guessed these were the relics Ruby and Weiss were looking for. "Ruby! Grab one of those pieces before that Nevermore swings back around!" The silver eyed kurd said to the red-cloaked scythe wielder. "Got it!" Ruby said while running over and grabbing a knight. Blondie walked over to a rook, picking it up. "So Jaune, where's your partner?" Ruby said to the now named Jaune. That question required no answer as a red-haired girl,clad in what appeared to be greek-style armor running away from a giant Scorpion. "Did she run all the way here with a DeathStalker on her tail?" Yang said. "Doesn't matter, we need to get out of here." Zîv responded, quickly earning a response from Ruby. "But we can take them!" Ruby tried to take off towards the deathstalker, but was grabbed by the hood by Zîv. "You have your objective, now we just need to get back" she reiterated, finally getting Ruby to cave. "Fine." she said, and with that, the group started running towards beacon cliff.

Near Beacon Cliff, Remnant, 12:30

They'd been running for about 20 minutes.

They had yet to lose the damn scorpion, and it looked like the area they were coming up to was a dead end. However, if Zîv had to guess, the cliffs near it were where they were supposed to go. Also however, the damn bird was in front of them. It hadn't made any moves,but Zîv guessed it was waiting for a moment to strike. It took that moment as when the group was crossing an old stone bridge, attempting to use the structure in the middle as a high point and safety from the Deathstalker. It crashed into the bridge, destabilizing it and causing the center to collapse, splitting the group between Zîv, Ruby, Weiss, Yang and her partner, and the other four. Zîv's group started climbing up the structure when Zîv paused. "Go up without me, I have to get my weapon out of my bag!" She yelled up to them, hoping they could keep the bird off them while she got her AUG and scope zeroed in. She saw Multicolored streaks of light while she was working.

Tracers? Why would those weapons use-

She never got to finish that thought, as a black feathery mass plowed through the structure. Zîv ran away from falling debris to see Ruby and her friends (?) jump up 10 feet off parts of the falling structure onto the bridges

How the hell do these people do it?

"Nothing's working!" Weiss remarked. "Ruby, do you have any ideas?" Zîv asked, not sure what to exactly do when people that could jump that high were struggling. Ruby seemed to look around the area. " I have a plan, cover me!" she said, taking off right after. Zîv, as she was in a position to do nothing, shot at the nevermore, every shot connecting but not doing any significant damage.

She watched as Yang grabbed onto the birds face, Shooting shotgun shells into its mouth, stunning it a bit and causing it to crash into the cliff. Weiss proceeded to freeze it down, running back afterwards. Yang an her partner used her weapon's grapple as a slingshot, which Ruby bounced her scythe into. Weiss, using a glyph, started lining up Ruby. This was the exact moment Zîv realized what Ruby was going to do. "Ruby, good luck!" Zîv says, hoping to not be completely useless during this. Ruby doesn't respond as she's launched towards the bird, catching its neck on her scythe. She runs up the cliff using her speed and Weiss's glyphs, dragging the nevermore all the way to the top. A second later, the bird monster's head is sliced off, leaving its body to fall, and Ruby to stare down at their and Jaune's group, who had defeated the Deathstalker. It was at this moment that Zîv became fully aware of her predicament.

These people outclass me. By a lot. And yet they don't know war from where I'm from. God help anyone pulling this place into one.

Top of Beacon Cliff,Remnant, 13:00

It had taken them the rest of the hour to get up the cliff to where Ruby was. As Zîv reached the top, she saw two people that she assumed were teachers. One was a woman with blond hair and a really weird cape. The other was a man with grey hair, glasses, a cane,and a green scarf. The man was talking to Ruby, when he turned towards Zîv. "So there's the unaccounted for person in Emerald Forest last night." He turned back towards Ruby for a second. "I'm going to need to talk with your friend." He said in a neutral tone. Why, Zîv didn't know. "Could you follow me to my office, Miss..?" Zîv responded "Jaf. Zîv Jaf."

Sorry this took longer than other chapters. The airpods I use to listen to RWBY lost their charging cord for a bit, so I had to find it. However I'm pretty sure this chapter is about double my usual size of chapters,so there's that. If you have any comments on my writing,please review.
