"Touka!" Kaneki called as he ran in the consulting room. He didn't even notice his friends waiting outside for him. Kimi was checking Touka's pulse. "Touka!" Kaneki whispered and took his wife's hand. Touka was unconcious and Hide walked in.

"Hide...what...what happened?" Kaneki could barely talk.

"Tsukiyama and I were going to get some coffee but when we got there, she was unconcious on the floor. The place was a mess and we saw this injury."

In her thigh, Touka had two marks close to each other, her skin was getting pale.

"Is clearly a Snake bite," Kimi said, "her condition is bad. A small portion of venom is inside. She fought back and that's why she doesn't have alot."

"Can you take that venom out?!" Kaneki raised his voice.

"Kaneki," Hide whispered to calm his friend.

"I will try."

"I will help you," Nishio said as he walked in.

"Touka!" Hinami was crying and laid her head on Touka's stomach.

Kaneki's eyes filled with tears and stomped outside.

"Kaneki," Ayato said.

"Why did they attack her?" Kaneki hit the wall. "First Hinami and now Touka. This is no coincidence. I knew I should have stoped them before! I won't let them get away with this!"

"And what are you going to do?" Yomo asked. He looked more worried than usual.

Kaneki looked at his wife and then stomped away. "Wha...where is he going?" Tsukiyama asked.

"This won't be good," Yomo replied and walked behind him. Hide, Tsukiyama and Ayato fallowed.

"Kaneki, wait!" Hide ran and took hold of his friend's arm. Kaneki glared at him. "You said not to do anything and look what happened!"

"Oh so now you are blaming me for this?"

"This is no time for arguing!" Yomo groweled and looked at Kaneki. "What do you plan to do?"

Kaneki ran his hand through his hair and sighed. "First, I need to find them. And...stop them."

"You can't fight them," Ayato interrupted, "you don't know how they are."

"Seems you forgot who you are talking to, Ayato."

"Ayato is right," Tsukiyama said, "we don't know how dangerous they can be."

"Ken," Yomo sighed, "I will help you."

Tsukiyama and Ayato hesitated a bit and then nodded. Hide didn't say anything, just looked down. Kaneki looked at him and sighed.

That afternoon, more nervous than ever, Kaneki picked up Ichika from school, not telling her about what happened to Touka. He told Hinami to take good care of her for a moment. "Where are you going?" Ichika asked him.

He smiled slightly. "I have something important to do with your uncles. I'll be back as soon as I can. Listen to your aunt Hinami."

"And mommy?"

Kaneki tried to keep the tears in, biting his lip and Hinami looked away.

"Mommy had to go to the doctor. She...she wasn't feeling well today. But she will be better. I know it."

"Okay, daddy."

He hugged her tightly and kissed the top of her head. She kissed his cheek. "Don't worry," Hinami told him, "I won't let anything bad happen."

"I will tell someone to come with you."

To his surprise, Urie and Juuzou showed up in the clinic. "Hide told me what you are planning to do," Urie said.

"We will go with you," Juuzou grinned.

Kaneki sighed. "Thanks, but I really do prefer you stay here. I will be more calm if you stay to protect the rest. Hinami and Ichika." He lowered his eyes. "And Touka."

Urie sighed. "I see. We don't know much about these creatures but we do know their level of power."

Kaneki widen his eyes.

"An SSS rated ghoul is not compared to them. They all have the same level. The rest is still a mistery."

Kaneki sighed and closed his eyes for a bit to calm down. "They know about me," he said softly, "they attacked Hinami and Touka. I want...want to know why." He looked at Touka, who was still unconcious. The venom was gone but it did make her weak.

Urie and Juuzou looked at each other. "And...what's your plan?" Juuzou asked.

The five men walked to the outsides of the city, fallowing Ayato. The rain had stoped and there was mud everywhere.

"It was here?" Tsukiyama asked Ayato.

"Yes. We were walking and that thing in form of Ichika appeared there." He pointed to the empty house. Kaneki looked around. A few houses close to there were also empty and almost breaking down. Many trees were everywhere. The people that normaly ran or rode their bikes were the ones that passed through there.

"Okay," he said, "let's do what we planned."

Hide nodded and began to run, like a normal guy warming up. "Just great," he said to himself, "now they used me for bait. Kaneki, if something happens to me, you will pay!"

Kaneki and Yomo hid behind a wall of bricks and Ayato and Tsukiyama sat under a tree, trying to act normal. Ayato was nervous and Tsukiyama laughed. "Calm down!"

"You don't know these things!" Ayato whispered.

Kaneki and Yomo kept looking at Hide from their hiding place. After a while, a breeze was felt. The sky got cloudy again which made Hide and the rest to look around. The breeze was cold and it got harder, making the branches of the leaves to move. "Maybe it will rain again," Tsukiyama said.

"The breeze coming like this out of sudden? I'm not sure," Ayato replied. A woman and a man were running together, wearing gym clothes and not to far from Hide. They passed by him and they looked at him for a second and continued to run.

"Akira said they have human form," Kaneki told Yomo, "we need to be alert."

Hide got tired and the woman stoped running and walked towards him and the man looking at her. "Ken," Yomo said.

"I know." Kaneki walked out slowly.

"You," the woman grinned, "why do you run without a water bottle?"

Hide looked at her and smiled a bit. His heart was going to beat out of his chest. She was a beautiful and normal woman. He couldn't think she could be a Snake.

"I forgot it," he replied.

Tsukiyama and Ayato stood up and walked towards them. The man looked at them and they looked back.

"Here," the girl said and gave him a water bottle, "I haven't use it."

"Hey!" Kaneki said, "stay away!"

The man ran to her and the guys next to Kaneki, who was getting closer to them.

The woman and the man stared at him and her smile was gone.

"You can't fool me," Kaneki said.

Many people were riding their bikes together like a small marathon. "You don't want to make a scene here," she said, "you know that's not the best idea."

"I don't know what you want but I need an explanation!"

The man and woman looked at each other and he smiled. "Fallow us."

"We are not going anywhere!" Ayato raised his voice.

"We can't talk. Want an explanation, One Eyed King, you need to come with us," she said.

"That's crazy!" Tsukiyama screamed.

"Enough!" Kaneki said.

"Don't make us use the force." She glared back.

Kaneki really wanted to know and he knew they would of attack them already if they wanted. He looked at Yomo and he nodded. "Tell Kaito we are going," the man told her, "and with who."

She nodded and dissapeared in front of their eyes.

"I just hope you know what you are doing," Hide whispered.

Kaneki closed his eyed and nodded.
