Since this chapter was written at random times when I found the energy and time to do it, please attempt to ignore any random or disjointed shifts in topic or tone as even after rereading it I'm biased so I most likely missed something.
Master and familiar left his office as he pondered what he had been told by Louise's familiar, while Osmond was tempted to see if he could get ahold of the crystals, he realized that between extremely powerful mana crystals being discovered on the headmasters person would have a much harsher backlash then others finding out about their existence because of a commoner, though Osmond had only knew little about the boy, he seemed to have a good head on his shoulders, if a little naive with his flippant attitude towards such powerful crystals, Osmond could see the reason being that the boy simply held no desire for power.
He had heard reports of the boy training early and late in the days, but when Osmond had looked at the boy, there was only the childish fascination of finding something interesting in his eyes, much like Prof. Colbert, that stayed his hand, for now, he would leave them in the boys hands, though it would be best no one found out about such powerful crystals.
"For now, speak nothing about the crystals, just let the students assume he has magic, the fewer who know that such things exist, the better." Osmond pointedly spoke to Linda, her face turning into something ugly with most likely an equally ugly comment at the end of her tongue, before she thought better of it, simply nodding before quickly letting herself out, leaving Osmond to contemplate the next best course of action.
"You want me to, what?" Louise spoke to her familiar as though he had decided to make a new word on the spot, and that word deeply offended her.
"I want you to work out." Izuku repeated himself, his voice already tired from the knowledge she would argue.
"I am a noble! I do not do things that make me sweat and smell like a pig! I would rather die than to bring such disgrace to my family's name by 'working out'." Louise spoke as if she had just taken a giant bite into a lemon.
"Ha-ha." Izuku's voice was flat as he laughed apathetically, "Louise, working out isn't going to kill you, as long as you do it in moderation of course." Izuku's eyes went distant, Louise felt fear creep up her spine at the look in his eyes after saying such an ominous sentence, but pushed on.
"I don't care what your reasons for it are, I refuse!" Louse stomped her foot down, clearly trying to signal the conversation was over, but as pridefully stubborn as Louise was, Izuku was equally as stubborn when he put his mind to it.
"I'm sorry Louise." Louise was forcibly stopped, her eyes swam with rage as she looked at the hand holding her arm, "But I'm going to have to refuse your refusal." Izuku's redundant statement made Louise look at Izuku with as much disdain as humanly possible.
A sharp barb was on the tip of her tongue but instead she squealed as she was picked up and thrown over his shoulder, she quickly went for her wand, only to discover it wasn't where it should have been.
"Looking for something?" Izuku asked with a knowing lilt in his voice as he shook her wand over his left shoulder, but even though he wasn't looking at her, he quickly moved the wand out of her reach as she went to grab it.
"You see Louise, I'm sorry to break it to you but you're prideful, of course you don't see the problem with that, but it means that I know that when a mage is granted a wand, it's known as the ultimate embarrassment to have their wand stolen or lost, and you of course conform to this like every other mage, meaning, if you want your wand back, you will have to work out." Izuku loathed using underhanded tactics, but if he was going to leave someday, he wanted her to be able to defend herself, and it's best to start as early as possible, no matter how hard Louise tried to glare a hole into his head as she wiggled and pathetically punched his back.
"I can't thank you enough Lana." Louise quietly fumed as Izuku spoke with what seemed to be familiarity with the old maid, her face scarlet from a combination of rage and embarrassment from the clothes she had in her hands the maid had apparently made by Izuku's request.
"Izuku...What the hell is this!" Louise snapped at Izuku as he waved bye to the old maid, completely ignoring Louise's indignant rage.
"Louise, they are from my home and the best things to wear when working out, so just put them on and stop complaining, any other clothes would be too hard to wash with tons of sweat sticking to them, and these clothes are made of a material that makes it easier to breath and aren't too hindering when they start getting weighed down." With his piece said he pushed Louise into her room before walking off, leaving Louise to stare at the proportionally correct sized clothes in disgust, though through her rage, she had to wonder how he got her size, which only helped to fan the flames of her rage.
A cloaked figure made its way from the main school building, it's head turning from side to side every few seconds before it finally made it through the gates and to the small forest nearby and into a flat area in the middle of said woods.
"Glad to see you make it Louise." Izuku smiled as he waved, jogging up to Louise, he was wearing the same clothes he had been when she had transported him to this world.
"Y-yeah well you have me here under threat, s-so let's just get this over w-with." Louise stuttered as she dropped the cloak reveal the work out clothes underneath, to anyone in Izuku's world is was normal looking work out clothes with a small hot pink shirt that was sleeveless and pitch black yoga pants, but to Louise she felt far to revealed with how closely the clothes hugged her. Izuku saw no problem with the clothing having gotten used to them from all the girls in his class having identical workout clothing(with varying aesthetic choices such as color).
"As true as that is, it's for your own good, so let's get to work, first off." Izuku quickly turned around and opened a bag that he had sat on the ground before pulling the metal looking stick out of the bag and tossing to Louise.
Louise caught it, taking a moment to look at before going still in shock, her mouth croaking out the obvious, "T-This is a sword-wand, what reason would I need this, how did you even get this in fact?!" Louise blustered, her voice indignant but eyes unable to look away from the object she had been handed.
"Simple, I bought it, now for your first question, you're going to learn how to fight offensively with your magic." Izuku spoke as though he was saying the sky was blue, an obvious 'duh' unspoken.
"What reason would I need this, I'm incapable of ma-'' Louise was interrupted before she could finish speak though, "uhp-uhp-uhp, shush, yes, your incapable of 'normal' magic such as air, water, earth, and fire, along with anything in between, but that doesn't make you defenseless, from what I've seen it doesn't matter what spell you use, it results in a explosion, in daily life that's most definitely a hindrance, but in combat, that's a weapon, a weapon I'm going to teach you how to hone." Izuku spoke with confidence, as though he could already see it.
"Preposterous, most of them are more smoke than an actual explosion!" Louise quickly refuted with a scalding tone.
Izuku sighed aloud, "Louise, for someone who apparently is one of the best students in magic theory, your obviously blinded by the fact, 'point wand, try to do spell, thing's go boom' as dumbly as possible that's what your stuck on, never seeing past that, now, I was being very serious when I asked how you blew up water, of course observing you I've come to the conclusion that your explosions change depending on what elemental spell you try to do." Izuku began to pace, not letting Louise get a word in.
"When you try to use a water spell you create a type of steam that closely resembles smoke, its explosive power is null but I noticed that you seemed to be unaffected by the explosion, not even coughing when it got in your face." Izuku paused as he brought up four fingers before putting down one.
"Second is when you attempt a wind spell, out of all four explosions that one has the biggest bang, seeming to have a increase in concussive force, third is earth spells, while I'm not able to really pinpoint what the full effect is, i believe it has something to do with increasing effectiveness against inanimate objects while decreasing effectiveness against animate objects, finally fire spells is fairly straightforward, theirs less smoke and concussive force but it increases your explosions fire power." Izuku's hand closed into a fist as he finished speaking over what he had observed about her explosions.
How was she supposed to respond? Basically everything she knew about her inability with magic had just been thoroughly questioned and examined, noticing and breaking down something no one else had even given second thought to, and had done it in less than a week when she and others had several years.
"Now, we begin testing your limits." With that sentence, Louise suddenly was dragged into what could only be described as hell designed by a taskmaster who loved 'training'.
~Later~
"See, that wasn't so hard, was it?" Izuku innocent asked, his smiling face overshadowing Louise's collapsed form, her ragged breaths the only thing she could muster as a complaint, her body physically revolting against her to continue breathing than wasting precious time where she could be sucking in more air instead of insulting the man who had done this to her.
The concept of working out was disgusting to Louise, and she now knew that not only did working out force her to spend long-disgusting seconds covered in her own sweat, but her severely underdeveloped and unused muscles screamed in agony in only a few minutes, but apparently 'human limitations' was not something her familiar knew the word of.
Finally feeling like she wouldn't keel over and die if she didn't breath, she tried and failed to form a single word, but everything beyond breath was painful, her throat and jaw sore from repeating a single spell over and over again, only to start the process all over again on a different spell, having been forced to expel all of her willpower trying different spells and their effects on her explosions,(of which all she saw was another faulty explosion after another faulty explosion.)
But once she felt like she was going to collapse from having her willpower drained, Izuku would then swoop in and force her to do something he called 'Yoga', which she secretly thought felt incredibly nice, before then forcing her to follow along a insane training regime where once her willpower was restored, he would start the process all over again.
So finally, as the sun slowly touched the horizon, Louise was left on the open field, Izuku standing over her as she was forced to bath in her own sweat, her body refusing to listen to her to such an extent that someway, somehow, even her eyes felt too tired to form a glare at her hellish 'trainer'.
"You know, i'm almost amazed that you somehow did worse than me back when I started training, it might even be an achievement even." All Louise could do was give a low, broken groan of annoyance to her familiar making fun of her.
As her eyes refocused for the first time, Louise could only let out a pitiful groan as she saw that her familiar only had a small ring of sweat collected where his shirt met his neck.
"No really, I was pathetic when I started training two years ago." while Louise was ready to disregard her familiar's statement, he suddenly pulled out of his pocket a odd rectangular slab, a weird wood covering the back as the front was made of a black glass.
If she had the capability to, Louise would have flinched back as the odd thing in his hand lit up.
"See, this was me before I started training." slightly curious and unable to do anything else, Louise reluctantly focused on the odd contraption in her familiars hand, and became shocked as she was met with a almost life like picture of the boy in front of her, but were Izuku had a almost mature look to him, showed on the device was a clearly more younger version of him, his eyes spewing water out like fountains as the clothing that hung over him displayed just how lanky he was, and where impossibly strong muscles lined her familiars arms, the picture showed his arms to resemble her arms more than his own now.
"Hmm, I think this was the day that I stopped caring that everyone called me Deku, heh, how time flies" her familiar voice suddenly took a odd, reminiscent tone as he peered at the picture of himself from apparently two years ago.
Unknown to her, Izuku took a picture of Louise as she continued to die on the ground. If he was going to train her, he might as well do what All Might did for him, was his thought process.
"d-De-Deku?" snapping her familiar out of the odd trance he seemed to be in, she spoke the best she could the odd name he had spoken for himself.
"O-oh heh, guess I still need to get over my mumbling habit still, um-well, uh that was the nickname everyone called me when I was younger, the language that my home uses a little odd since we speak one language, but we wright everything in three different languages, but uh, Deku usually translates to useless, since if you take my name it usually can be translated into three things, Deku, Puppet, and Nine, which uh is basically the story of my life." he smiled awkwardly as though he was aware of how odd his statement was, but was desperate to move on, but Louise was in a vengeful mood.
"Why would everyone call you useless?" it was blunt and extremely rude in any setting, but Louise had gone through so much suffering under his hand in only the first day, that tact had been accidentally thrown out of the window.
"Err, well, you see Louise…" a sad look crossed Izuku's eyes as he looked at Louise before sighing, "Louise, I'm from another world, you may want to deny it, but for all the questions you have, that's your answer, I'm from another world, and my world works somewhat differently than yours, and the biggest fact is that magic doesn't exist in my world. In a sense you could say that where this world got magic, mine got quirks." taking a deep breath Izuku decided to break it down for her.
"You see, quirks are a genetic anomaly that appeared out of nowhere, put simply, all of a suddenly people started popping up with powers called quirks, which would then pass down to their kids and so on, and quirks themselves are special powers that are individualistic to the individual, while some quirks may be similar, fundamentally, everyone of them is different, and while quirks have been a around for a while, not everyone ends up with a quirk, and well...I was one of those people, born quirkless in a world were basically everyone else had one...so when the other kids found out, they called me Deku, because in a world where everyone has a power that lets them specialize in something, I had nothing, hence useless." giving Louise a sad smile, Izuku leaned forward before lifting Louise up from her collapsed position on the ground before going over to pick up his bag before draping Louise's robe over her before finally making his way back to the magic academy.
Louise's mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions, Izuku's confession kept played back in her head on a endless loop, no clear end in sight, as no matter how many times she thought about it, it left her her emotionally confused and reeling every time, but sleep continued to elude her as her mind wouldn't stop thinking about it, no matter how much she attempted to take her mind off of it.
No matter how still and quietly she layed in her bed, the soft comfort of sleep denied her presence, frustrated but unwilling to give up on sleeping as she began to toss and turn, trying and failing to get into a comfortable enough position while her mind continued to spin.
Unexpectedly, she felt a dip to the side of her bed and a pair of arms wrap around her and drew her towards their chest, snapping her eyes open, she found herself face to face with Izuku's chest, but before she could demand an explanation, he began to hum, the unknown melody seemed to reverberate through the air and pierced her mind, like the eye of a storm, she found her mind stilling and her eyes slowly dragging down as the enchanting hum and subtle vibrations of his chest dragged her into a peaceful state that soon became a comfortable slumber, the melodic hum following her into her dreams.
Sorry this took so long, no real promises on the next chapter but I guess be happy I'm still alive I guess, nothing really big happened but I would like to hear how I did with this chapter, I'm attempting to try to write in a somewhat different style so for those that care, please tell me if i'm taking it in a good or bad direction or how I did was just plain bad and should just go back. Thoughts or opinions over what I'm doing with Louise? I know Izuku is especially OCC in this chapter but that's just how it goes with me.
Also, what are yall opinions on the more softer moments between Izuku and Louise? Good? Bad? Meh? Cringe? Not the greatest at romance so any helpful advice is appreciated, anyway, until next time. Review!...or something.
