Taking notice of Naruto's sullen face after taking on the seemingly still living Akatsuki, Hinata takes courage to approach her crush that night. Little does she know that Obito has business with the Jinchuuriki as well. Dragged into the tsukuyomi with the blonde shinobi, Hinata's counterpart takes her place, and it isn't long before chaos ensues. [RTN movie re-imagined/Hinata-centric] (T for cursing, like a lot, so be warned)

A/N: The jump from one universe to the other will be labeled as [Menma-verse] and [Naruto-verse].

Warning: I don't write fight scenes. If that's the kind of writing you're hoping for, I'm sorry to say I am not the right one. I can't write it, and I also don't particularly like reading it either. Anime and live-action I can understand, but even in manga there are a lot of times it takes a while for me to get what's happening. Writing and reading action is a big No-No for me, so I'm really sorry.

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto.

-[Naruto-verse]-

Hinata's mornings had never been so quiet as it was her first morning with her 'new family'. She imagined the drop of a senbon would be louder than the sounds of their silent meal. She didn't quite know if she liked it or not.

Back home not a day went by without some kind of riot. Truth be told, her voice rang the loudest, but it was Neji's fault really. As a result of their bickering, her mother, Hanabi and her uncle would be laughing on the side lines. Hinata had always wished for some silence back then, but this was almost too quiet.

She remembered her father being a serious man, but the clan head was on another level of stoic and humorless. If she didn't know she was his daughter, she'd think Neji was Hiashi's son with how alike they seemed to be. The only one who seemed animated was Hanabi, and her little sister looked about ready to jump out of her seat with all the questions bubbling inside her head. There was a sparkle in her eye that made her look like some predator ready to pounce. It was quite amusing to watch.

Directing all her attention on Hanabi, Hinata asked with a sly grin, "Wanna spar?"

"Yes!"

It was nothing new for her little sister to be fawning over her, but this Hanabi actually had some potential in her. She was not at the level Hinata had been at the same age, but she was a quick learner. Her own sister on the other hand, was a bit more clumsy and much more prone to getting sick. Another reason she sought power and required it of her partner as well.

Hanabi's excitement, combined with her own revved them up for another round, but as always, duty always came first. Hanabi's lessons were to begin soon, and apparently Hinata had a guest of her own. Current teammate of Neji, and the second of the only two people in the world to proudly don a green jumpsuit. Lee hadn't made an appearance yesterday in their get-together for unknown reasons, and Hinata had honestly forgotten he existed, to even ask. It was a hectic day; she could forget a few things here and there.

In the end Hanabi had never gotten to ask her any questions, but she'd promised her little sister they'd have time later on to continue.

"Promise?"

Hinata smirked as she remarked, "I don't make promises I can't keep." Watching Hanabi's reluctant retreat, Hinata thought of how whoever it was that had made this world, they really thought hard about trying to balance the good and the bad. Either they were really nitpicky, or just f***ed up. But then again, by what her genjutsu-crazed sensei had drilled into her, it could be her influence mixed with the creator, that she ended up with this mish-mash.

As she left the Hyuuga estate, Hinata unzipped her sweater. She'd quickly noticed her father's distaste for her not-so-modest attire the day before, so she'd decided to at the least keep her sweater closed while at home. He looked like he wanted to say something about it, but something seemed to be holding him back. She'd read the sign of guilt and she hadn't understood why, but Hinata didn't mind showing at least a little propriety for her now living father.

Anyone else would have gotten a 'f*** you'.

At the back of her mind, she wondered how her father would react to seeing her with her makeup on, and the image of his displeasure made her laugh. Fortunately for him, she'd forgone cosmetics as her counterpart had close to nothing, and to be honest, there was no one around to impress. A certain somebody had yet to make their presence known.

Yesterday, when she'd looked at her gathered 'friends' from afar, it stuck out like a sore thumb that one particular person was not there. Not Lee, of course. No.

Menma.

Hinata asked the pink-haired kunoichi walking next to her, "Where's Menma?"

"Menma?"

"Yeah. Your teammate Menma." The guy we're both pining for!

"Ummm...I'm not sure..."

"Shaggy blonde hair and big blue eyes!"

"Are you talking about Naruto?"

"What?" Only about halfway there to figuring out this might not be her world, Hinata took a moment to take in what Sakura was saying. She didn't deny the part about him being her teammate so, what were they odds they were talking about different people.

"He's on a mission by himself, so you probably won't see him for a while."

"...What's his last name?"

"Um...Uzumaki."

That was right, but... "Does he have a brother?"

"A brother? No." Sakura laughed at the thought, until she remembered Naruto's familial situation. "I mean...I'm pretty sure..."

Hinata said in a mocking tone, "You're pretty sure?"

Sakura wondered how far she should go with telling Hinata the truth. It wasn't really her story to tell, but Tsunade had given them the order to try and get whatever information was off, settled in their friend's disordered mind. "Well, he's an orphan so..."

Well, this was confusing as sh**! There was no use stressing over things she couldn't do much about, for now. Hinata decided to wait for this 'Naruto' to get back for her to figure out what was what; in the meantime, she could entertain herself with her friends of this reality.

Not too far from the walls of her family's compound, Rock Lee stood proud and ready for just about anything. It made Hinata cringe. It seemed even the genjutsu couldn't get Lee out of that horrible green sh**.

"Hinata-sama!" Running to her in great fervor, Lee almost tripped at the changed kunoichi. Despite himself, he blushed as he nearly shouted. "You look most youthful today."

Half-guessing Neji's constant use of honorifics in regards to her had rubbed off on Lee, Hinata didn't bother with correcting him. She didn't really like it when her friends got too formal, but she had an inkling if she brought it up, the motor on his mouth wouldn't stop. She was already bowled over by his unnecessary shouting so early in the morning. Was it possible to get tired so quickly? "What do you want Lee?"

Unaffected by her obviously bored tone, Lee continued, "I am most sorry for not being there yesterday. I was in the middle of a rigorous training exercise that I had to finish. If you would forgiv..."

"You're forgiven." Hinata cut him off before he could finish, and started to walk away. There were still a few things she wanted to confirm about the whole 'Menma possibly being Naruto' situation and though she'd thought to wait for his return, she figured there were other ways to go about getting at least a little bit more information.

Keeping up her pace, Lee followed with ease, "I would like to help you on your quest to get back your memories. Though I may not have any expertise in ninjutsu, I have gone far with hard-work in mastering taijutsu! If we work together, our efforts will surely bear fruit!"

That piqued her interest. Everyone knew that Lee had could not wield ninjustu or genjutsus of any kind, and still he'd become a shinobi. She'd greatly respected that until it turned out he'd used most if not all his time in his perverted inclinations. But, if this was true and quite possibly could be with this being some kind of upside-down world, Hinata most definitely wanted to find out. Completely stopping her steps, Hinata turned to look Lee in the eye. "So, you can fight?"

"Yes! With the guidance from Guy-sensei I have overcome my limitations to..."

"Then let's fight." Hinata started to stretch her body in preparation.

Taking notice that they happened to stop at training field, Lee looked at Hinata in worry. "But Hinata-sama..."

"What? Are you scared?"

"I am never afraid! But, umm...Neji told me..."

"Ah, f*** whatever he said. I wanna see what you're capable of. Impress me." Hinata was still filled to the brim with energy. She'd been feeling a bit pent up when she hadn't been able to give it her all with her father and her sister; and hoping Lee might actually be worth her time, Hinata was itching for a stress-relieving duel. "Think of this as a part of getting back my memories."

Lee had never fought with Hinata nor trained with her, but to reject a friend who wished to train with him was not something he was capable of doing. Regardless of what Neji had told him to do, Lee decided to take on Hinata's wish. This experience may also help him in defeating his rivals and getting a new one in the process. "Okay then. Your desire has alighted my fire, Hinata-sama. Let us fight."

HInata was impressed. No scratch that, she was beyond impressed. "That was awesome, Lee!"

"Thank you, Hinata-sama! I too, was greatly moved by your youthful moves! I am ashamed to say I did not think you were capable of such abilities. Please forgive me!" Getting down on both knees, Lee dramatically expressed his distress with a deep bow.

Hinata simply waved off the apology with a smile. "Forget it." You weren't wrong...But seriously, the potential of this guy! Can't use ninjutsu, but still having so much talent. She couldn't help but exclaim, "You, on the other hand, you should be really proud."

"Aha...thank you." Lee blushed red with the continuing praise. He'd forgotten when he'd last been commended by anyone other than his revered hero. Especially a girl.

Seeing his overly embarrassed face, Hinata decided to tease him some more. "Even that green jumpsuit is starting to look kinda sexy." She didn't forget to throw in an innocent wink for the final impact.

It didn't take long before Lee's face burned and steam escaped through his ears. He didn't seem to notice Hinata laughing at his state as he dug his forehead into the ground for a deeper bow. "I...I'm sorry, Hinata-sama! BUt..but I have fEElings for Sakura-chaN!"

That was an unexpected turn. Hinata's laughter immediately stopped with the unpleasant sound of 'her' name. She understood everyone had preferences, but why of all people would anyone like Sak...Wait. "You like Sakura?"

"Ha..hai..." Lee said fearfully. Not a few seconds ago, Hinata looked about ready to kill after he'd rejected her.

Grabbing his shoulders in a firm hold, Hinata gave her friend a stern look. "Lee. Don't ever give up."

"Hai?"

"You have a duty to your heart. Go get her."

"Hinata-sama..." Tears welled up in his eyes as his emotions bubbled within. Never had anyone been so passionate and understanding of him other than his sensei. Lee stood proudly with new found courage. "You are the greatest friend anyone could ever ask for. I will not let you down!" Wiping stray tears, he ran into the direction of the sun.

Even in watching Lee's fading back, Hinata's smile did not diminish. This is so much fun.

Catching sight of her target with her doujutsu, Hinata quickly made to approach her.

"Sakura."

A little surprised by her sudden appearance, confusion colored Sakura's face. "Hinata."

"I wanted to talk to you. Straighten some things out."

"...If this is about the day before, I can't say you're wrong, but there's a better way to go about..."

"Yeah, yeah whatever. You do you, and I do me, I don't really care about that. I want to talk about something else."

"Oh...Um, I was just about to go to the café, do you want to join me?" Last she remembered, Hinata seemed to like sweets, especially cinnamon rolls.

This Hinata however, wasn't much of a sweet's person, but she was kind of hungry from the recent work out, so she'd agreed. "Sure."

Settling down after having made their orders, Sakura asked, "So, what did you want to talk about?"

Before Hinata could even open her mouth, someone decided to appear next to Sakura's seat. "Hey Ugly, Hokage-sama is looking for you."

Though she'd been pissed about the interruption, Hinata anger quickly changed to laughter at what she thought was a much too appropriate nickname for the kunoichi sitting across from her.

Embarrassment and anger had turned Sakura's face into a dangerous blood red. "SAI!"

Thinking her anger was because of his sudden ambush on her little get-together, Sai turned to her laughing companion to apologize, "I'm sorry, I did not know you had comp..." At least that was what he had been planning to do until his eyes took in the vision before him. Who was this creature of perfection? The proportion, the posture, the aura...she looked familiar, and yet he could not remember when he'd last seen someone like...like the goddess before him. Getting down on one knee, Sai asked, "I don't know who you are, but please, if you would allow me the chance, I would like to paint your perfection."

"Well, aren't you quite the flatterer." Sai...Sai...wasn't he that boy who worked at the Yamanaka flower shop back in her world. He was the one Ino had a crush on. She had once told Hinata about how nice he was, and seeing him here, she was inclined to believe. He certainly had a great eye.

Jealousy raged in Sakura as she grated her words out. "This is Hyuuga Hinata, Sai."

Sai's eyes widened at what he'd just heard. "The same Hinata who is always stalking Dickless?" She certainly had her face, but this was not the Hyuuga Hinata he knew. Was that the body she'd been hiding under all that clothes? He would have never known if not for today. Sai wanted to thank her, and he would have, if he hadn't suddenly been lifted by his collar. It seemed beauty was not the only redeemed feature of this goddess amongst men.

"And when you say Dickless, who are you talking about?" Hinata firmly believed that whatever universe she lived in, her heart would be for one man. Having an inkling about who Sai was talking about, Hinata waited for confirmation before she could kill him.

Confused by her rage, Sai simply stated, "Uzumaki Naruto, of course." It seemed he'd done something wrong again.

Letting one hand go, a kunai seemingly materialized in it as she pointed the weapon at Sai's underbelly. "I suggest you don't go around calling him Dickless anymore, or I'll make sure it permanently becomes your nickname."

Sai could not respond. He wanted to make right by her, but he didn't know what to say. He didn't know why, but his friends never seemed to like what he thought was the best answer. Making friends was always tricky.

"Hinata, wait!" Sakura didn't like Sai, but she didn't want to see him dead or mutilated. Grabbing Sai from behind, she easily pulled him away from Hinata as her fist had loosened its hold. Thankfully the kunoichi was true to her word that she wouldn't attack if she wasn't provoked further. "I'm sorry, you couldn't ask me what you wanted, but I've got to go see Tsunade-sama."

Hiding her kunai back within her sweater, Hinata continued to glare at Sai as she said to Sakura, "I just wanted to know who you liked." Sai had confirmed for her that Naruto was Menma, and that her twin(?) was still very much in love with him in this universe. That with the added partially good observational skills, she let his misdeed go with a threat.

"Who I like?"

"Ugly here is still chasing after the traitor." Sai cut in, hoping to earn back some of the favor he'd lost.

"Sai!" Sakura tried to dissuade the two, but it seemed her words would not reach their ears.

Traitor? "You mean Sasuke?"

"Yes."

Hinata could not help the chuckle that escaped her. She now understood the whole 'go after Sasuke sh**'. "Sakura, you and I are good now."

"Umm...okay." Sakura felt it, the loss of tension between them. Had she been thinking she liked Naruto this whole time? That was what put a rift between them? Apparently it was that simple to get on Hinata's good side. At least this one. It had been upsetting her that everyone, literally everyone was easily friends with Hinata except her. Well, there was Neji, but even they seemed to work out the truth between them. Satisfied with no longer being hated, Sakura dragged Sai out as she left the café.

"Megami-sama {Goddess}, if you have forgiven me for my misstep, I hope you will seriously consider..."

The door closed before Sai could finish his request, and Hinata was left alone with her thoughts. Eating her forgotten cinnamon roll, she mused. This is perfect. Now all I need is Menma or Naruto what the f***-ever. Hopefully by the way things were flowing in this universe, he was the one chasing her.

A/N: Yes. A whole chapter dedicated to RTN Hinata. This just seemed like a good place to stop after typing it all up. Hopefully you guys like her as much as I do. Original Hinata will come out next chapter, so stay tuned. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed.
