"We're here." Sabella said. She and Venom were at the pier that was smuggling the weapons. They were just waiting for everyone to show up. Everyone is including Paul and Lindsay. "Where are those two?"

"Don't tell me they chose now of all times to have their fun." Thomas said.

"Here we are." Lindsay said. Blite and Spider-Man showed themselves to face this. "Sorry if we're a little late. We just had to get our own problems out of the way.

"Really?" Thomas said as he wasn't buying that it was something innocent.

"It doesn't matter. The fact is that we're here now." Paul said. "Where are the guys trying to take those weapons? Have they showed up yet?"

"They have now." Sabella said as she pointed down. They saw some guys down there carrying some crates over. When they came out, they saw a small yacht coming over.

"Do you have it?" One guy with an accent called. One of them opened a crate and showed it had some rifles inside. That was all the captain of the ship needed to know. A few guys stepped out and tried to try get the crates on board.

"Just one moment." Paul said as he jumped in. "I'm not sure you're suppose to take those out to sea." A couple of them pulled out handheld guns and tried to shoot him, but he moved out of the way. As they kept shooting, Venom showed himself. He webbed the guys and pulled them over to knock them right in the heads.

"How did they know?"

"We have our ways." Lindsay said as she appeared behind one and hit him right in the face. Paul moved to the boat and tried to take on the guys on there. Two of them pulled out their own guns and tried to shoot him. Paul was able to avoid the bullets and shot webs that landed right in their eyes.

"Damn this spider!"

"Just keep shooting!" One was shooting recklessly, but Paul was able to use his webs and pulled it out of his hand.

"Didn't your mothers ever teach you not to play with guns?" Paul said. He ran over and hit the one guy in the face. He grabbed the other one and drove his knee in the bad guy's gut. He also hit him across the face. As for the captain, he watched from the security of being behind the wheel.

"Don't you want to take part in the fun?" He turned around and saw Sabella was there. He was brave enough to try and fight her off. He tried to land a hit on her, but she was able to catch it. Sabella twisted his arm and hurt him. When she tossed the arm away, she grabbed him by the head and drove her knee against his head. She also gave him a strong kick to knock him against the controls. Sabella finished by jumping at him and kicked him so hard that he was sent flying through the window.

"Come on. Don't you guys have anything better to do than illegally transporting weapons?" Thomas taunted as he fought a couple off. As one tried to attack him, he grabbed him and tossed him in the air "Grab a beer? Go to a strip club? Even getting food poisoning is probably better." When the guy came down, Thomas gave him a hard kick and knocked him into another guy.

"You know how all these losers are?" Lindsay said as she flipped over to a guy and got her legs around his head. She twisted her body around to slam him against the ground. "They all prefer to do something stupid over something sensible." Paul tossed one guy over the boat and had him fall on the dock.

"It looks like that's the last of them. That was too easy." Paul said as he jumped right off the boat.

"No joke. I thought this would be more challenging." Thomas said. "Nothing bad even happened."

"Well, at least it's over and done." Sabella said. "That's all that really matters."

"Sabella is right." Paul said. "As long as these weapons aren't in the wrong hands, we're done here. We just need to let the cops know about this and we're done."

"In that case, I'm out of here." Thomas said as he was getting ready to leave.

"Heading home?" Paul asked.

"I certainly wouldn't want to get in the way of you and Blite's time together." Thomas said with annoyance as he left.

"I certainly do not wish for that either." Sabella said. "I thank you for your assistance." Sabella walked away herself and Paul felt like some sort of jerk since it's clear he's hurting both of them because of what he and Lindsay are doing.

"Good. I'm always up for a second round." Lindsay said as she walked over to Paul and tried to seduce him some more.

"Where do you get the energy?" Paul questioned.

"Maybe you would like to find out." Lindsay said as she lifted his mask and kissed him. Paul might be interested, but he's not sure if he can go through with it this time. As Lindsay was trying to get him to go with it, one of the guys was still conscious. He reached for a gun and aimed. Paul's spider-sense was alerting him, but it was too late. The guy shot and Lindsay was the one that took the bullet.

"Blite!" Paul screamed as she dropped to the ground. The guy was about to shoot again, but Thomas and Sabella came back. Thomas webbed the gun and pulled it out his hands. That's when Sabella knocked her own rifle against his head to knock him out.

"Lindsay!" Thomas shouted in fear. They all hurried as they saw Lindsay was in a lot of pain after being shot with some blood flowing out of her.

"Oh god...!" Paul said as he was freaking out by this.

"Not what I had in mind...when I wanted something to hurt." Lindsay joked. She tried to hold strong, but the injury looks bad. As she laid in Paul's arms with her withering in pain, Paul can't help but feel like this is his fault.

...

The Hospital

They got Lindsay to a hospital as soon as possible, but it wasn't looking good. She needed urgent care and the doctors are doing everything they can to help her. She's resting now, and the rest of them watched through a window.

"The doctors are doing what they can, but it might take some time for her to recover." Sabella said. She might have disliked her, but she wouldn't want Lindsay to die.

"This isn't right. This shouldn't be happening to her." Thomas said.

"Thomas..." Paul said as he tried to place his hand on Thomas' shoulder, but Thomas lashed out at him. He grabbed Paul and slammed him against the wall. His feelings for Lindsay amplify what he was feeling for right now.

"This is all your fault! It should have been you! Not her!" Thomas said. Thomas shoved him away and just got out of there. With how he was feeling, he couldn't even look at Paul. Paul actually took what he said and was ridden with guilt from it.

"He doesn't mean that. He's just upset." Sabella said.

"No... It is my fault." Paul said as he looked through the window to see a reminder. "Things between me and Lindsay were getting out of hand. I knew that, but did nothing about it. I knew I had to end things with her, but I didn't want to let go myself. That's why I went along with this little agreement, but it didn't solve anything. I ignored the danger and she paid for my mistake. This is my fault."

"Come. Let's leave her to rest." Sabella said as she helped him. Paul felt so low. He knew things between him and Lindsay were getting out of hand, but he didn't want it to stop. Now because of his poor choice, Lindsay is in the hospital. He figured the best thing he could do for her now is keep his distance. Harris was right before. Someone did end up getting hurt in the type of relationship Paul and Lindsay were having. It just didn't happen the way Paul thought it would.

...

Five Months Later

For five months, Lindsay has done her best to try and recover. Thomas visited every chance he could. Paul did feel guilty, feeling like what happened to her was all his fault. He did visit a few times, but he made it clear that what he and Lindsay has is over. It had to end for their own good. For five months, Paul was ridden with guilt for what happened to Lindsay. It was difficult, but Sabella actually helped him through with it. He had his other friends helping him out, but Sabella stuck by his side at every step. During the five months, he and Sabella actually have gotten closer, very close.

"You amaze me again." Paul said. "You know how to cook." The two of them were having dinner together at Paul's apartment with Sabella making him a nice meal.

"I do try my best. I was taught to keep my strength up and cooking helps with that." Sabella said.

"Train mercenary, sharpshooter, and can kill people with delicious cooking... You are a serious threat." Paul said.

"You have no idea. You should see what I'm like on a bad day." Sabella said with them sharing a laugh.

"You know, I really do appreciate you helping me out these past five months." Paul said. Sabella appreciated hearing that. Paul decided to take a chance and actually kissed her. It was only a few seconds, but it felt nice. "Sorry. I just..." Sabella didn't let him finish that as she tackled and kissed him with her ripping his clothes off. To think, none of this would be happening if Paul hadn't said yes to Lindsay's offer, but now it's Sabella's turn. Lindsay isn't the only one that knows how to have fun.
